Gloria Detox helped me in my journey of over 10 years of addiction. All the staff and counselors were extremely professional and took pride in there jobs. Many are recovering addicts with years of sobriety themselves and can relate to you in a way that most others can’t. I felt it was a safe place to be vulnerable and open up to the reasons why I became an addict in the first place. The friendships made at Gloria for the short while I was there grew deep roots fast and I’m sure to last a life time. Thank you Gloria Detox and all of its affiliates!

This was the best recovery experience! This was not my first time in treatment and I thought that I knew what to expect. The groups were small and intimate. The staff and other clients were caring, empathetic, open minded and friendly. I was introduced to Smart Recovery which is a great alternative to 12 step programs. We attended 12 Step meetings as well. All the techs and counselors were committed to my success. My therapist Stephanie is a great listener! She heard my concerns and was able to present other perspectives that I hadn’t thought of. The chef, Dean is a fabulous cook! Dustin, Evan, Leslie, Sam, Brittany, America were all essential in this process. They are all proof that the opposite of addiction is not sobriety but connection!

Starbridge Recovery Center didn’t just save my life—they taught me to be the best version of myself I could ever imagine. Walking into Starbridge, I was broken and lost, but from the very first moment, I felt surrounded by compassion, warmth, and genuine support. The staff here goes above and beyond; they are more than just professionals—they’re real people who care deeply about each and every person who walks through the doors.
Through their guidance, I didn’t just recover; I discovered a new sense of self-worth and confidence that I never thought possible. They taught me essential tools, grounded in empathy and understanding, that I now carry with me every day. I’ve left Starbridge with not only a new outlook on life but also with a strong foundation for a bright future. I am forever grateful to Starbridge Recovery for helping me find myself and become someone I’m proud of.

From the moment I stepped into these door, I felt safe, understood, and welcome. The staff here were very supportive, compassionate, and encouraging. I became “a part of the family.” This is essential in recovery ❤️🩹. Family, that’s something that’s priceless. Windie, Christian, Vanessa, Alyssa the nurse, the entire staff have been there for me on many levels, on every level. It’s truly a blessing and I feel humbled and grateful to have been able to come here. The owners are involved and take the time to get to know us clients, the groups are amazing, informative, and the variety available to us allowed me to uncover the many layers that lead to my addiction. I was sick when I came in from withdrawals and was literally nursed back to health. There a personal chef on the weekdays that cooks gourmet type foods three times a day! They order breakfast lunch and dinner on the weekends from wherever we want, or agree on. The staff hangs out with us and play cards, pool table, ping pong 🏓. The views here are amazing, you can see downtown LA and Hollywood. There’s weights and a jacuzzi here. It’s an overwhelming experience too much to write! I am humbled to have been able to be a part of this and would recommend this to any of my friends or family if they are struggling with their addiction, this home made me optimistic about my recovery and I’m proud to be part of their recovery community, which welcomed me with arms wide open ❤️

My stay at Hollywood Hills Recovery was nothing less than life changing.
I have never been to treatment before but within minutes there felt exactly like they always state “You may enter as a client, but you leave as family”. From just the house itself which is roomy and well kept, to the food (shout out Chef Ray and his cookies) to the techs and counselors (Cristian, Josh, Heather, Tristan, Wendie/Lovebug 😘, Rueben, Johnny) I was automatically put at ease.
I originally planned to stay for just the 10 days of detox but (as I’m sure everyone there is tired of hearing! 💕) stayed an extra week for the mental health help . The therapists of all modalities (Hesou, Sarah (x2), Bill, Phillip, Gabe, Robert, Chris and more that I am sure I am leaving out) are amazing and make you feel heard and understood. The doctor is literally available 24/7 (not sure how he does it all) and willing to listen and adjust at all times.
Not only have I left feeling like my time there is going to be looked at as the start of a better life for me and my family rather than the “burden” or “failure” I originally thought; I have found a beautiful family and community from all walks of life that I will cherish forever.
Thanks again guys and keep changing lives!

I would like to thank all of the Wonder staff at Aegis Pasadena, they have helped me in so many ways!
First off I would like to thank Susan (hopefully spelling her name correctly) who was the main manager, there when I got there 10 years ago
- because if it literally wasn't for her, I would possibly still be out in the streets or worse.
idk if she knows this but she literally changed my life that day.
I came at a bad time that day of intake and I wouldn't have been able to dose then because of me coming so late from taking 3 buses to get there, So I was basically going to "check out" and go back to the streets to my addiction and possibly never come back again after I realized I wasn't going to be able to dose then.
To make a long story short - I was able to go to the El Monte Clinic that day and dose there and come back to the Pasadena clinic
So I'm forever thankful to Susan for that day!also for all the chances you gave me! Thank you Susan once again 🙏 🙏 🙏
For all your help in my journey!
I also want to thank Neelam, for bringing light and smiles to Aegis, especially when places like these can get "dark" at times because of where us patients are coming from. So thank you Neelam!!! 🙏
Thank you to all my counselors Jessica & Nadia and the rest I've had there - thank you as well!
Because of you guys I actually like counseling now lol unlike other places outside of there that I didn't like lol. So You guys made me feel comfortable and actually listened and helped me in so many ways thanks you!
Jabari the manager there - thank you man!
I wanted to say that (Jabari) didn't make me feel like just another "number" there. He TRULY cares and has tons of wisdom, and is compassionate as well, he truly wants the best for us as they all do there!
I've been to other clinics and let me tell you guys that this is by far the BEST one I've been too! I highly recommend it if you know or have anyone that's out there!! I will forever recommend this place to the people that want to get clean and change their life around, this is the place! Give them a call!
Wish you guys all a Merry Christmas 🎄 and a Happy New Year! 🙏 💪 Thank you guys!

I must admit that I was a bit skeptical at first about going to a treatment living facility. This was due to my own perceptions and stigma on being open with total strangers on my addiction. I didn't realize that a communal atmosphere is just what I needed to open up and take care of well being. I stayed for 6 months at the Haven House in Long Beach. They had so many resources for me getting my life back on the right track. I found a setting of other guys who had been through so much and were there to listen and to encourage my progress. I honestly felt like staying resort for rehabilitating everything about myself. We did yoga to help the mind and body. We had movie nights to laugh and think and engage in life conversations. The best part was the proximity to the beach. We had a lot of outings and picnics along the Long Beach Shore. I very much recommend this establishment if you wish to progress through addiction and leave all the more better for society.

This facility offers multiple comprehensive recovery services to adults battling with drug and alcohol abuse and co-occurring disorders. Each service is focused on providing individualized care as it is a center that believes that no standardized drug treatment meets each per | Treatments Programs Payment Options | If you are like me, you have been tirelessly researching online or calling various sober living facilities - feeling heartbroken, lost, desperate, and confused - all while facing a decision which would directly impact the livelihood of a loved one. No pressure, right? My family member had just completed rehab outside of Los Angeles and needed a sober living facility with good and honest people to help them adjust back to “real life.” All I knew at this point in my search is what I wanted for them. I was looking for a sober living facility where they would have focus on the program, be given the direction and guidance of counselors with care, be introduced to meetings around LA, all leading up to the goal of steering them back to a healthy and positive life. The real (and scary) answer is these places are hard to come by. I unfortunately saw that first-hand. Now to get to why I NEEDED to write this review. Nexus. 5 letters that make up a word I want to shout from the rooftops with such profound gratitude. Yes, my family member chose to do the work, take it seriously, make it a priority in their life, but it is also about who you surround yourself with. Nexus gave my family member a community bringing people into our lives which have changed it for the better. Nexus gave my family member counseling which has opened them up to realizing their true potential without the need of drugs or alcohol – they are just grateful to be walking in their shoes sober. And one of the most important attributes of Nexus you may ask? Those that run the program. Halim, Johnnie, Rob, and Dano. I will never forget the first night I talked to Halim. And I say “talked” as if it was only one time. We spoke at least 10 times and he was a savior. He picked my family member up from somewhere where they were drowning and brought them to the Playa house. I was in a different state and was powerless but Halim was there. How could I have been more fortunate? I am forever indebted to the people that work at the Playa house (house manager, supervisors, techs, case managers, drivers) and the program Nexus has brought to our lives. Nothing is more important to me then family, and Nexus gave me my family back.

So I showed up on a rainy day in Los Angeles and was greeted by great staff, met my therapist Melissa (amazing person and professional) and started group therapy. Delena, a group therapist at Nexus, is a god send and at this point I believe she might literally be an Earth Angel that brings light to all of the darkness that we think we believe when we get sober.
I started to have hope for my future and felt like the impossible was now possible. Somewhere in the mix I met Kurt (another group therapist) I don’t know what exactly he does or how he does it... but he changed my life because I was always seeking answers to questions unattainable or that others never had the capacity to answer... but the best way to talk about Kurt is to not talk about Kurt and let people experience spirituality on THEIR terms!
All the staff is wonderful shout out to UA Nick.
Big Jeff will help you with all of your outside stuff legal, work ect but also knows what he is talking about in recovery and in spirituality. Halim Daniel is the go to guy for pretty much anything. He holds his staff just as accountable as the clients.
Lastly, I’d recommend this place for anyone serious about recovery. The best testimony comes from clients and past members and what stands out to me is that a lot of past members are still sober or clean. We are all pretty close too. If you are fed up with the treatment industry I understand how you Feel. There is real solution and hope here and more than that to me is the amount of love ❤️

When my 19 year old son completed residential treatment I began the search for an outpatient program that could supplement his sober living. From the very first phone call to Nexus I knew we had found the right place. The initial contact was loving, warm, and encouraging which was exactly what I needed in those early days of his sobriety.
Over the course of his seven months at Nexus those same traits from that first phone call grew and worked magic on my son. I can’t know what happened daily or even weekly at Nexus, but I know the changes I saw in my son. The young man he was destined to be was awakened and nurtured by Nexus. They kept me informed along the way and I was able to participate in a wonderful family program weekend.
Today my son is in college and living a productive life. We both credit Nexus for providing him the space, support, insight and love he needed to move into this next chapter. I am forever grateful to the staff at Nexus.

If you're LGBTQ+ and struggling with addiction, La Fuente Treatment Center should absolutely be the first place on your list that you consider. I will be forever grateful to La Fuente and its entire staff for helping me with my drug addiction + alcoholism. The clinical staff and therapists helped me to better understand the underlying issues that led me to use and abuse substances. As a gay man, I wanted to find a treatment center where I could comfortably be myself without judgment -- a place where I'd be among others like me within the LGBTQ community. Shockingly, there are very few treatment centers in the country like this. First, the entire staff at La Fuente (who are also all LGBTQ+) are beyond amazing - kind, caring, insightful, helpful, patient, loving, supportive, and inspirational. They made me feel loved until I could learn to love myself again. Second, given that La Fuente only takes a maximum of 10 clients at a time (and it's usually under 10 clients while you're there), it makes for a much more intimate experience (unlike other treatment centers where you simply become a number). Third, La Fuente is very welcoming, clean and comfortable (I ended up having my own room for the majority of my stay). Honestly, it is such a magical and special place. I loved it so much that I stayed for a full 90 days because they made me feel safe and seen. Again, if you're LGBTQ and struggling and looking for help, start here! I'm close to 6 months sober today and feel like I finally have my life back and I owe it all to La Fuente, its program and their entire staff.

La Fuente is the magical place that provided a safe environment to begin my healing and recovery. Everyone from admissions to the therapists and techs went above and beyond to address all client’s needs and meet us where we’re at. It is important to note that the entire team is apart of the LGBTQIA+ community which shows just how dedicated they are to providing a connected, thoughtful approach to their program. I am grateful to say I have my life back because of my time there.

Their behavioral health | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I was a client at Westwind Recovery from January to May 2025. From the moment I was picked up by Robin until I had my exit interview with Sean, the program manager, I was cared with individualized attention and respect. Taking care of my needs through group and one-on-one therapy.
I know that West Wind was central for my recovery, and I would urge anyone who finds themselves in a situation such as mine to inquire about this treatment program.
