Wow I was reading through the reviews and I’m disappointed in all those that had their bad experience!!! I went back in 2004 I was completely broken in so many ways they all called me corn fed cause I was from Oklahoma I was a mechanic there and kept the fleets going I made it through phase 1 and then started the phase 2 and of course I backslid a bit and got popped with a drug test and failed didn’t want to leave and at the same time didn’t want to restart phase 1 all over again and to be honest some of my best nights were digging holes and I always preferred the ground that wasn’t touched and that dirt sparked at night funny thing was most made it a week or so ordeal in thier holes literally a 6’ deep 6’ long 3’ wide hole it was a burial site and I had it of demons to kill and bury, I didn’t mess around though I busted out my holes within hours of starting, I always loved the morning fire side chats and proverbs chapters and pondering in those verses that spoke to me!!! No matter what in life there has to be a certain amount of suffering to grow and if any of you gripe about those sufferings then yall are missing the entire point!!! Went through EVERLAST recovery two years ago. I am not only still drug free but I now work as a case manager and counselor. I am so thankful for everything they did for me. Would highly recommend.

I was very satisfied with everlast recovery, there much different from other facilities such as not feeling like a hospital setting or feeling like a 5150 facility. Everlast treated me like family and so did the rest of the patients in there. Everlast gave me the tools to cope with my struggles of addiction and showed me how the sober life is the better life. I just completed this outpatient program and I genuinely recommend. The staff, the groups, and the support made a huge impact on me. Chadd — “The General” — made a real impact on me. He’s one of the few people I’ve met who doesn’t just talk recovery… he lives it. Every word he says comes from real experience, real struggles, and real growth. He’s humble, honest, and he treats everyone like equals. Talking to him feels like talking to someone who truly understands what you’re going through.
He never made me feel judged. Instead, he made me feel seen and heard. His wisdom hits deep because you know it’s coming from someone who’s walked the same road. If he ever wrote a book about his life, I swear it would inspire so many people.

I went to SBT a little over two years ago now on march 7th 2023, I was beat down and close to giving up due to my alcoholism and drug addiction. I had been through treatment twice before and didn’t think anything was going to change but I was willing to try. I was placed in a nice house with very knowledgeable and relatable staff members that helped guide me in my early days of detoxification. They kept me hopeful for a better life even though I felt like mine was over. The program they run is smooth and effective, they kept a close eye on me and made sure my needs were met. I can’t say enough good things about the program, my uncle passed away while I was in detox and on black out protocol and they still let me make a phone call to my family because they knew how much it would mean to me. Also had it not been for a counselor named Rachael, I’m not sure I would be sober to this day. She helped me navigate the best course of action to remain in sobriety by showing me all the resources and places I could go for after care both in my home state of WV and other options closer to their program as well. Had I not been made aware of the fact that I could go to boardwalk recovery after SBT I don’t think I would have made it as far as I have now. Thank you so much for helping me get my life back, you all are amazing people!

Just celebrated 8 years sobriety! This place saved my life. They are very well organized and understand treatment and recovery. I wasn't necessarily very open-minded in the beginning but I'm so glad I didn't quit and leave not everybody stays sober and I understand that and this place doesn't guarantee anything however it is a beginning and for me it was pivotal. Pros: Caring Staff, Balanced Groups, Decent Food as far as rehabs go. Visits are allowed on weekends after 7 days.
Cons: Occasionally some clients that need special mental needs met slip in the cracks and it is difficult to replace them where they need to be.
It seems like corporate has the budget in too high of a chokehold, I can't imagine 50+ men at a rehab do not facilitate a higher budget than what is currently allocated. Clients shouldn't be able to feel this.
If you are not keen on a lot of men around you, consider other options with smaller populations. If you are heading here without a choice, talk to your counselor about any accommodations.
If you are looking to get sober, this is a place that runs a dog through the facility and tries to take measures to better facilitate it to those that want to make a serious change for their lives. If you have derailed your life and hit rock bottom, got felonies, or you just got out of prison and have conditions, this is definitely a good spot to put your life back on track. If you are going to rehab for the right reasons, you will not have an issue with 90% of the staff. Most treatment options felt like just like they were farming us for the money, this was NOT one of those facilities.
Even if you don't know where you are, give this a shot. I'm glad I did!

10 acre ranch is a great place with lots of friendly staff who care about your recovery there’s a lot I learned here. many skills, and coping strategies that are essential to my recovery, and lots of information that is useful to being able to understand how addiction works. Angela is especially good at her job and has years of wisdom and experience within treatment. You won’t be magically cured after leaving here tho, what you put in is what u get out of it.

If you’re really serious about changing your life around then this place is where you need to be.
You can bring your pets and they accept couples. The staff here are all amazing and willing to help whenever you ask for help. The chefs: Tiffany and Mike really get down and make some really delicious meals for breakfast lunch and dinner. The nurses Michelle and Amy make sure you take your meds whenever needed and also make check in with you every morning to see if your having withdrawal symptoms such as night terrors, using dreams, tremors, anxiety, depression, all that stuff that you don’t want to feel when you’re withdrawing and they make sure you are prescribed the right meds to prevent all those things. The case workers Alejandra and Angela work above and beyond to make sure everything you need is taken care of. Angela is also the educator and teaches some really informative group classes that help you understand your disease. And the rest of the staff are all amazing and I’m really going to miss all of you! Claudia and Valerie are really sweet and kind and funny. I always looked forward to seeing them at the facility. Dan and RayRay and Joe are all very personable and will give you some of the best advice and it’s only up to you to decide if you wanna take it and run with it. Steve thank you for bringing my partner and I to court on your day off. Banchi is the sweetest person in the entire universe and you made me smile so much and being sober made me appreciate any smiles I got from the staff here. Tiffany thank you for all the meaningful talks we had every morning, I always looked forward to seeing you during the weekdays! And Mike thank you for making sure we eat good everyday ! You’re the man! All of the staff here are absolutely wonderful! They have great food, catered meals, lots of great snacks, outings, such as bowling in the movies and Broadway theater in Riverside.
The work they do for Addiction is over the top. 30 to 120 day programs with therapy, group counseling, and one on one counseling. Better than A Luxury rehab in Malibu. They take forms of Medi-Cal like IEHP and the homes are clean and beautiful. Ron is the owner and he is involved and does such a great job. Theresa as a counselor for the women’s house is over the top great!

More than it appears, my experience at Whiteside is a complex blend of positive and negative aspects. While I genuinely believe Whiteside is a special place.

I was here for treatment for 8 months and I had an addiction to fentanyl and bipolar disorders . Another rehab didn’t want to keep me because of my kidney failure due to drug use and Angelika welcomed me with open arms !! Beautiful spirited woman !! She goes above and beyond for her clients and treat you like family !! This rehab is the only reason I got sober ! They let you go at your own pace and won’t be quick to kick you out !! Nice food , nice outtings !! She takes very good care of us !! Don’t think twice about coming it doesn’t feel like a facility or hospital and you get to keep your phone !! Nice bedrooms , big beds , your own bathroom and my favorite No ROOM Mates ! And btw Chris the Manager is awesome!!! The only people that had problems with him were the ones that weren’t serious about the sobriety!! He was one of my favorites !

Rancho Milagro helped me with my journey to being a drug free addict. Some staff are very spiritual and if you choose they will guide you spiritually. Brandon, Michelle very spiritual. The ones that aren't still respect your higher power. No judging. Some of them can relate to us the addicts. I recommend this place to heal your addiction and your soul. Judee is a life saver! She was so helpful and knowledgeable! She got my son approved for outpatient and in patient treatment within days! She was genuine and cared about our son’s safety, health and empathized with us as parents going through this for the first time! She never gave up and gave us so many options to help him every step of the way! Everyone at IOP and the Ranch were welcoming and made a huge difference and impact in my son’s life. I was with them for 2 years and they are really awesome. DR.RUTH is a very caring person and understands what your going through and wants to help you. As for the team Once you get to know the girls in the front they are so cool and very helpful. I had 3 counselors my first counselor I did have a problem with, but I got transfer to another counselor which was the supervisor and she was one of the best ones I had and Mike he is another counselor that is awesome. Kim is another supervisor for the front office and she is amazing. I am very happy to get to know everyone there.

MFI Outpatient and Medical saved my life! I came in through the Cares Line right off the streets of Lake Elsinore and was able to connect with MFI at the sober living, IOP and MAT services stage after 93 days of treatment at a different facility. I was welcomed and encouraged and set right in the middle of their Outpatient program. I was given Case Mgr Natalie, Group facilitator Jessica, House Mgr Alex and then BJ and her awesome team in Medical. I was truly set up for success! I felt thoroughly cared for, loved and spoiled. I will never forget my time at MFI! I’m 4 years clean and sober in June. Thank you and lots of love to all of you who helped me and to all of you in the background grinding it out helping people all day everyday! My Grandkids have their Grampa back!

2024 was a transformative year for me, and a big part of that was due to my time at A Peace of Mind. As a first-time resident in a sober living environment, I didn’t know what to expect, but from the moment I walked through the doors, I felt welcomed, supported, and understood.
The house provided a safe and structured environment that was crucial for my recovery. The staff were compassionate, knowledgeable, and always available to offer guidance. They truly cared about my progress and went above and beyond to ensure I had the tools and resources I needed to succeed.
What I loved most was the sense of community. The other residents became like family to me, and we supported each other through every step of our journeys. The group meetings, activities, and shared experiences helped me build strong, lasting connections that I know will continue long after leaving the house.
This sober living house didn’t just give me a place to stay; it gave me a fresh start, hope for the future, and the strength to continue on my path to sobriety. My bed was right next to the ice cold AC and I would sleep like a baby! I always wanted to be home. I love the Old Victorian look and feel. I can’t thank the team enough for everything they’ve done for me. This program has changed my life completely! Ramona leads an incredible program, the entire treatment from start to finish was thorough and well thought out. The therapists, Xavier, Maggy, and Ghazeleh showed grace, empathy, care, and genuine compassion to every single patient. I was fortunate enough to have Paola, the clinical therapist lead, as my main therapist and we uncovered years of traumatic experiences I was not ready to face. I will forever recommend this program to anyone in need and look forward to the after care they offer after completing this program!

I stayed in the adult section (unit 300) for 5 days. It was a good experience overall, even with a couple scary moments from other patients. The food was good, the patients were sweet, and the staff was on top of things. The only issue I had with this place is I believe they need more Spanish speaking staff on the floor and more phones available. Overall, I feel like everyone was treated fairly and I liked the activities that they had for us.

Liberty House was an absolutely amazing experience for me, unfortunately I only stayed through the detox period but I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND anyone to stay the 30 days or more. I completed my methadone program a few months ago after being a long-time patient [6, or 7 years], but I was still using until about 3 years ago. For the first month or two, you have to go there every day, and depending on what time you get there [I always liked getting there as early as possible], there will be a super long wait. If you still use, you will never move up to be able to have take-homes. When you get take-homes, if you use again, they suspend it for a week, at first [so you have to go there every day, again] and then you get your take-homes back, but you get less of them I think? [I did this once after I had my take-homes for a couple months in the very beginning, I dont remember that well. 😅] I stayed on methadone for 2 years before I started tapering, and my taper program lasted another year. The whole time the staff was always kind, and my counselor was always very supportive of my decision to get off methadone, the whole office was. The staff are cool as long as you're doing what you're supposed to. My overall experience was good, I was there when a different director was running things, though.
