Wow I was reading through the reviews and I’m disappointed in all those that had their bad experience!!! I went back in 2004 I was completely broken in so many ways they all called me corn fed cause I was from Oklahoma I was a mechanic there and kept the fleets going I made it through phase 1 and then started the phase 2 and of course I backslid a bit and got popped with a drug test and failed didn’t want to leave and at the same time didn’t want to restart phase 1 all over again and to be honest some of my best nights were digging holes and I always preferred the ground that wasn’t touched and that dirt sparked at night funny thing was most made it a week or so ordeal in thier holes literally a 6’ deep 6’ long 3’ wide hole it was a burial site and I had it of demons to kill and bury, I didn’t mess around though I busted out my holes within hours of starting, I always loved the morning fire side chats and proverbs chapters and pondering in those verses that spoke to me!!! No matter what in life there has to be a certain amount of suffering to grow and if any of you gripe about those sufferings then yall are missing the entire point!!! I was very satisfied with everlast recovery, there much different from other facilities such as not feeling like a hospital setting or feeling like a 5150 facility. Everlast treated me like family and so did the rest of the patients in there. Everlast gave me the tools to cope with my struggles of addiction and showed me how the sober life is the better life. Shane the counselor is awesome super good dude. Would highly recommend everlast recovery 💯

I spent 30 days at the Turrell house, and although it was my first time in treatment I believe I was meant to come to this place specifically. They did such a wonderful job welcoming me, the staff and residents really helped me settle in to the routines of the program. I loved every single group session we did throughout my stay, and i loved all of the outside meetings we went to every week, I learned so much, and I actually found my sponsor because of this program. They really care about every client individually and are very attentive to specific needs. I loved working with Katie as my case manager, she did an amazing job. I've had a few stints with rehab and none even skinned the surface of what I learned here. Located on a beautiful property in the foothills of Murrieta, with in house groups led by instructors that break it down so in depth. My perspective had a total shift and I can honestly say I owe my life and the promise of a new future to this facility and it's faculty. If you're willing to do the work this is the place to get into your core issues and help you recover from the lifestyle and vices that one is addicted to. I recommend this place to anyone who wants something different from life. DBT, CBT, recovery education, family therapy are just a few of the groups and The program director and Clinical director hand picked a team that is progressive, informed, patient, caring and passionate about what they do. What you need to know about Ranch Creek Recovery:
They accept health care insurance. Katie was great in helping me find the right healthcare provider and coordinating enrollment
PRIOR TO ARRIVAL:
coordinate which house you will be staying at (Bass or Dorrien), what day you'll be arriving, how you'll get to the program, pack a week worth of clothes including a bathing suit, books, booklight (if you plan to read, because all lightbulbs are the dimmest possible), and alarm clock (unless you like counselors walking into your space, waking you up randomly).
UPON ARRIVAL:
You will need to be dropped off (there is no personal parking or vehicle storage). You'll go through a search (appropriately, light pocket check and bags emptied) all electronics will be confiscated (headphones, phones, chargers, etc) and stored in a locked closet. Full inventory documented for all items. You will have up-to 3 days to DETOX as needed where you can sleep and rest privately. I personally got bored very fast and decided to join the group early rather than just sleep, but the option is available as needed.
ONCE SETTLED IN:
There is a 7 day blackout period where you are not allowed phone or computer use and can not have visitors or communicate with family/friends (emergency exceptions). There are typically 4 (one hour) group sessions daily, during which either worksheets are used from various therapy resources, or rehabilitation-related YouTube videos are shown. Counselors rotate based on internal scheduling. You'll have 1-2 private therapy sessions scheduled each week for one on one with Leena or Christine both are great to work with and talk to one on one. Meals are scheduled 3 times a day, residents are responsible for cooking their own meals and can "graze" in making snacks/meals as needed.
DEPARTING:
A close-out assessment will be completed prior to your scheduled last day with an emergency safety plan for sign off. A pick-up time will be scheduled, all itemized inventory reviewed with sign-off. an IOP Intensive Outpatient Program will be offered through RCR Ranch Creek Recovery and/or a plan for after care reviewed.
NOTES:
Phone use allowed 1 hour a day at night after dinner, following a 7 day blackout period. Group sessions can be "boring" lots of downtime, lots of staff turnover.
There are two houses BASS & DORRIEN.
Bass is the main property and where groups are held.
Sleeps 6 residents. There are 3 private bedrooms each with a queen bed (one has it's own bathroom, the other 2 share a bathroom), and 1 oversized bedroom with 3 queen beds, another full bathroom by the living room. big screen smart tv, L-shaped old sofa [over-due to be replaced], matching captains chair with footrest [also ready to be replaced], eloquent dining room (dedicated as an art space), enormous dream kitchen with separate pantry room, food shopping is done once a week with a list (residents responsible to cook their own meals), Pool Table, Ping Pong,, Pool (ICE COLD), Jacuzzi (turned on Friday night only, no lights), garage with some gym equipment (you can use during free time), and a large sunny well maintained backyard is accessible.
Dorrien is the "overflow" smaller secondary house about 10 minutes away. Also sleeps 6 total. 1 large bedroom with 3 beds, 1 bedroom with 2 beds, 1 master with a queen bed which shares a jack-and-jill bathroom. TV, living room, hot tub.
DAILY ITENTERARY:
This is where it gets a bit "grey space" ....

I was admitted 04/22/24. Recovering from opioid addiction. This was my second time around. However, this time I put in a maximum effort in every group along with every assignment..I wanted to be successful in my recovery. I was warmly greeted and got down to business. It's is amazing what we can accomplish with a open mind, trusting heart and a willing spirit. The staff was incredible.. truthful.. and actually cared.
Currently I am 92 days sober...no wants or desires ...or cravings.
I strongly recommend Mrs Sherry " pain group " it is intense....but it had such a profound effect in my life.

It feels weird posting a review of a rehab, facility, huh? Well, if it helps make anyone feel more comfortable and confident in seeking help, I guess it's worth it. I did a medical detox from benzos here. The staff are all wonderful, caring people, who take good care of you and try to keep you comfortable and safe. With their treatment, I felt no withdrawal symptoms and aside from some drowsiness, no side effects. The only possible complaint I have is the food, but it kept me nutritionally satisfied, and that's enough. It's not a vacation.
If you feel like you need to make a change in your life, or got referred by your doctor or a family member, I fully recommend the place. Recovery is hard, but they'll do their best to make the initial (and scariest, IMO) detox process as easy and comfortable as possible.

I went to SBT a little over two years ago now on march 7th 2023, I was beat down and close to giving up due to my alcoholism and drug addiction. I had been through treatment twice before and didn’t think anything was going to change but I was willing to try. I was placed in a nice house with very knowledgeable and relatable staff members that helped guide me in my early days of detoxification. They kept me hopeful for a better life even though I felt like mine was over. The program they run is smooth and effective, they kept a close eye on me and made sure my needs were met. I can’t say enough good things about the program, my uncle passed away while I was in detox and on black out protocol and they still let me make a phone call to my family because they knew how much it would mean to me. Also had it not been for a counselor named Rachael, I’m not sure I would be sober to this day. She helped me navigate the best course of action to remain in sobriety by showing me all the resources and places I could go for after care both in my home state of WV and other options closer to their program as well. Had I not been made aware of the fact that I could go to boardwalk recovery after SBT I don’t think I would have made it as far as I have now. Just celebrated 8 years sobriety! This place saved my life. They are very well organized and understand treatment and recovery. I wasn't necessarily very open-minded in the beginning but I'm so glad I didn't quit and leave not everybody stays sober and I understand that and this place doesn't guarantee anything however it is a beginning and for me it was pivotal. Pros: Caring Staff, Balanced Groups, Decent Food as far as rehabs go. Visits are allowed on weekends after 7 days.
Cons: Occasionally some clients that need special mental needs met slip in the cracks and it is difficult to replace them where they need to be.
It seems like corporate has the budget in too high of a chokehold, I can't imagine 50+ men at a rehab do not facilitate a higher budget than what is currently allocated. Clients shouldn't be able to feel this.
If you are not keen on a lot of men around you, consider other options with smaller populations. If you are heading here without a choice, talk to your counselor about any accommodations.
If you are looking to get sober, this is a place that runs a dog through the facility and tries to take measures to better facilitate it to those that want to make a serious change for their lives. If you have derailed your life and hit rock bottom, got felonies, or you just got out of prison and have conditions, this is definitely a good spot to put your life back on track. If you are going to rehab for the right reasons, you will not have an issue with 90% of the staff. Most treatment options felt like just like they were farming us for the money, this was NOT one of those facilities.
Even if you don't know where you are, give this a shot. I'm glad I did!

If you’re really serious about changing your life around then this place is where you need to be.
You can bring your pets and they accept couples. The staff here are all amazing and willing to help whenever you ask for help. The chefs: Tiffany and Mike really get down and make some really delicious meals for breakfast lunch and dinner. The nurses Michelle and Amy make sure you take your meds whenever needed and also make check in with you every morning to see if your having withdrawal symptoms such as night terrors, using dreams, tremors, anxiety, depression, all that stuff that you don’t want to feel when you’re withdrawing and they make sure you are prescribed the right meds to prevent all those things. The case workers Alejandra and Angela work above and beyond to make sure everything you need is taken care of. Angela is also the educator and teaches some really informative group classes that help you understand your disease. And the rest of the staff are all amazing and I’m really going to miss all of you! Claudia and Valerie are really sweet and kind and funny. I always looked forward to seeing them at the facility. Dan and RayRay and Joe are all very personable and will give you some of the best advice and it’s only up to you to decide if you wanna take it and run with it. Steve thank you for bringing my partner and I to court on your day off. Banchi is the sweetest person in the entire universe and you made me smile so much and being sober made me appreciate any smiles I got from the staff here. More than it appears, my experience at Whiteside is a complex blend of positive and negative aspects. While I genuinely believe Whiteside is a special place.

I was here for treatment for 8 months and I had an addiction to fentanyl and bipolar disorders . Another rehab didn’t want to keep me because of my kidney failure due to drug use and Angelika welcomed me with open arms !! Beautiful spirited woman !! She goes above and beyond for her clients and treat you like family !! This rehab is the only reason I got sober ! They let you go at your own pace and won’t be quick to kick you out !! Nice food , nice outtings !! She takes very good care of us !! Don’t think twice about coming it doesn’t feel like a facility or hospital and you get to keep your phone !! Rancho Milagro helped me with my journey to being a drug free addict. Some staff are very spiritual and if you choose they will guide you spiritually. Brandon, Michelle very spiritual. The ones that aren't still respect your higher power. No judging. Some of them can relate to us the addicts. I recommend this place to heal your addiction and your soul. Judee is a life saver! She was so helpful and knowledgeable! She got my son approved for outpatient and in patient treatment within days! She was genuine and cared about our son’s safety, health and empathized with us as parents going through this for the first time! She never gave up and gave us so many options to help him every step of the way! Everyone at IOP and the Ranch were welcoming and made a huge difference and impact in my son’s life. I was with them for 2 years and they are really awesome. DR.RUTH is a very caring person and understands what your going through and wants to help you. As for the team Once you get to know the girls in the front they are so cool and very helpful. I had 3 counselors my first counselor I did have a problem with, but I got transfer to another counselor which was the supervisor and she was one of the best ones I had and Mike he is another counselor that is awesome. Kim is another supervisor for the front office and she is amazing. I am very happy to get to know everyone there.

MFI Outpatient and Medical saved my life! I came in through the Cares Line right off the streets of Lake Elsinore and was able to connect with MFI at the sober living, IOP and MAT services stage after 93 days of treatment at a different facility. I was welcomed and encouraged and set right in the middle of their Outpatient program. I was given Case Mgr Natalie, Group facilitator Jessica, House Mgr Alex and then BJ and her awesome team in Medical. I was truly set up for success! I felt thoroughly cared for, loved and spoiled. I will never forget my time at MFI! I’m 4 years clean and sober in June. This program has changed my life completely! Ramona leads an incredible program, the entire treatment from start to finish was thorough and well thought out. The therapists, Xavier, Maggy, and Ghazeleh showed grace, empathy, care, and genuine compassion to every single patient. I was fortunate enough to have Paola, the clinical therapist lead, as my main therapist and we uncovered years of traumatic experiences I was not ready to face. I will forever recommend this program to anyone in need and look forward to the after care they offer after completing this program!

I stayed in the adult section (unit 300) for 5 days. It was a good experience overall, even with a couple scary moments from other patients. The food was good, the patients were sweet, and the staff was on top of things. The only issue I had with this place is I believe they need more Spanish speaking staff on the floor and more phones available. Overall, I feel like everyone was treated fairly and I liked the activities that they had for us.

2024 was a transformative year for me, and a big part of that was due to my time at A Peace of Mind. As a first-time resident in a sober living environment, I didn’t know what to expect, but from the moment I walked through the doors, I felt welcomed, supported, and understood.
The house provided a safe and structured environment that was crucial for my recovery. The staff were compassionate, knowledgeable, and always available to offer guidance. They truly cared about my progress and went above and beyond to ensure I had the tools and resources I needed to succeed.
What I loved most was the sense of community. The other residents became like family to me, and we supported each other through every step of our journeys. The group meetings, activities, and shared experiences helped me build strong, lasting connections that I know will continue long after leaving the house.
This sober living house didn’t just give me a place to stay; it gave me a fresh start, hope for the future, and the strength to continue on my path to sobriety. My bed was right next to the ice cold AC and I would sleep like a baby! I always wanted to be home. I love the Old Victorian look and feel. t's very important to me that this review reaches the highest level of supervisors or authorities at this whole institution. Far too many times people are willing to go out of their way to leave a review when they have a bad or unpleasant experience somewhere. But when there's a great experience or something goes well, it gets unsaid, nobody ever hears about it. Dr Reier, is an example of someone who should be recognized and praised publicly!
Less than 12 hours of being admitted into the hospital, after a visit to the ER, for numbness and tingling in my legs, Neurosurgeon, Dr Reier, enters my room and explains to me, with a language I can understand, what is taking place in my body. He then gives me an explanation of the treatment and need for emergency surgery. He spoke with a confidence and I easily trusted him.
With no hesitation or delay, I was prepped and ready for surgery. All the departments
Came together and strategically did their parts. The process seemed to take place so perfectly and for that I had instant gratitude. What came next is what really blew my mind.
First realizing that this team of surgeons had just prevented me from having a lifetime of permanent bowel and urine dysfunction and possibly paralysis.
This team or should I say teams of family medicine Doctors and neurosurgeons and follow up care professionals, have given me an experience I would have never expected. I swear they should have just all had a set of wings and been floating in the air. I have never seen so many kind people, especially in the medical field where people are crabby and moody.. it almost seems unreal that doctor after doctor nurse after nurse, everybody who has entered my room, has done so with such a pleasant grace that makes me emotional to think that these people exist and actually care about my health and my condition.
Dr Reier, has gone way above and way beyond what's normally expected from a surgeon? He has spent extra time, never making me feel rushed or like he was bothered. He requested that my family stay back so that he could give a full. Illustration, to explain to them and help them understand the situation. He has communicated with them and made sure that they understand what's going on amd what's going to come. We are so grateful to him.

ICU nurses Dana, Diana, Alzen, Allison, Eliza, charge nurses Brittney and Sarah, oh my goodness these women deserve to be honored for the level of care that they provide so lovingly. Each one has given me such genuine polite kind, sweet treatment because this time for me has been very challenging and the pain that i'm going through, along with the other things like not being able to use the bathroom on my own and so on. Not one of these women has made me feel uncomfortable or inconvenienced.
Let's talk about the team!!! Omg!!!! With all that has already been said about the fore-mentioned people, you already think it can't get any better than this. Then WOW here comes the team.

I completed my methadone program a few months ago after being a long-time patient [6, or 7 years], but I was still using until about 3 years ago. For the first month or two, you have to go there every day, and depending on what time you get there [I always liked getting there as early as possible], there will be a super long wait. If you still use, you will never move up to be able to have take-homes. When you get take-homes, if you use again, they suspend it for a week, at first [so you have to go there every day, again] and then you get your take-homes back, but you get less of them I think? [I did this once after I had my take-homes for a couple months in the very beginning, I dont remember that well. 😅] I stayed on methadone for 2 years before I started tapering, and my taper program lasted another year. The whole time the staff was always kind, and my counselor was always very supportive of my decision to get off methadone, the whole office was. The staff are cool as long as you're doing what you're supposed to. My overall experience was good, I was there when a different director was running things, though.

I entered this program on 4/18/25, and I spent 31 days here, successfully completing the program. This place was my saving grace, and gave me a second chance in life. I lost my kids due to drugs, and because of GHW, I was able to get on the right track back to having them home with me again. Gibson House for Women gave me my life back! My counselor, Danielle, was and will always be my angel. She had my back from day 1, and was always on top of things. All of the counselors are amazing - they all really do care and most have been down the same roads so they know what you're going through. I was housed with 30 other woman here, and every single one of them became my sober sisters - the most incredible group of women I've ever met iny life. We all had each other to lean on during those times of hardship, and comfort was always there. This place truly is magical, and I can't thank GHW, and the women I went through treatment with enough for everything they've done for me. It was a miracle I ended up here, and the program wasn't exactly easy, but I needed their strict structure at the time, and am so grateful for it. My advice to anyone reading this is STICK WITH IT! IT'S SO WORTH THE REWARDS IN THE END. Don't let anyone take you out of character and destroy the peace you so much deserve.
