It's like club med only a little harder because you have to surrender your will to God, take up your cross, man up, sissy down, and try to act like the man God intended you to be before we learned how to do life incorrectly.It was one of the best memories and one of the hardest memories all in one but I did it and I completed more than I started out to do. At 60 days, God said nope. It's not time yet. you're not ready. I stayed 6 more months and God said, nope I need time with your wife and family with me out of the way. I stayed 6 more months in a ministry mind frame. I actually didn't want to leave. I was enjoying being someone that actually knew how to help, how to listen, how to care for the hurting addict who I myself was a few short months earlier. God meets us more than halfway if you genuinely seek him, his will, and his sons ways. Highly recommended if your tired of beating your head on that same brick wall that results in the same defeat and pain every time. Stop the cycle and let God teach you how good life can be when we aren't our own worst enemies anymore.

What you need to know about Ranch Creek Recovery:They accept health care insurance. Katie was great in helping me find the right healthcare provider and coordinating enrollmentPRIOR TO ARRIVAL:coordinate which house you will be staying at (Bass or Dorrien), what day you'll be arriving, how you'll get to the program, pack a week worth of clothes including a bathing suit, books, booklight (if you plan to read, because all lightbulbs are the dimmest possible), and alarm clock (unless you like counselors walking into your space, waking you up randomly).UPON ARRIVAL:You will need to be dropped off (there is no personal parking or vehicle storage). You'll go through a search (appropriately, light pocket check and bags emptied) all electronics will be confiscated (headphones, phones, chargers, etc) and stored in a locked closet. Full inventory documented for all items. You will have up-to 3 days to DETOX as needed where you can sleep and rest privately. I personally got bored very fast and decided to join the group early rather than just sleep, but the option is available as needed.ONCE SETTLED IN:There is a 7 day blackout period where you are not allowed phone or computer use and can not have visitors or communicate with family/friends (emergency exceptions). There are typically 4 (one hour) group sessions daily, during which either worksheets are used from various therapy resources, or rehabilitation-related YouTube videos are shown. Counselors rotate based on internal scheduling. You'll have 1-2 private therapy sessions scheduled each week for one on one with Leena or Christine both are great to work with and talk to one on one. Meals are scheduled 3 times a day, residents are responsible for cooking their own meals and can "graze" in making snacks/meals as needed.DEPARTING:A close-out assessment will be completed prior to your scheduled last day with an emergency safety plan for sign off. This is, by far, the best recovery center that I have experienced and heard of. I have been sober since I left Ranch Creek 3 1/2 years ago. They saved my life physically, as I was about a month away from being put onto the liver transplant list, they saved my marriage and relationship with our four children, and they saved me emotionally, as Dr. Dena was able to get some of my issues to a conclusion without me using alcohol to numb the pain. I do the work every single day, but I wouldn't be here without Ranch Creek. They definitely do it right!

This place has saved my life. The counselors, the nurses, the teachings (tools), and the environment were amazing. They were very patient, caring, and understanding. I learned so much there and gained a whole new self identity. After inpatient, they offered me an outpatient program that you can partake either in-person or via Zoom. That is so necessary and beneficial as well. I would suggest that anyone who wants and needs to get their life back or reshape who they are for the better to give this place a try. I live life through new eyes and with a healthy mind. You won't be disappointed.

It feels weird posting a review of a rehab, facility, huh? Well, if it helps make anyone feel more comfortable and confident in seeking help, I guess it's worth it. I did a medical detox from benzos here. The staff are all wonderful, caring people, who take good care of you and try to keep you comfortable and safe. With their treatment, I felt no withdrawal symptoms and aside from some drowsiness, no side effects. The only possible complaint I have is the food, but it kept me nutritionally satisfied, and that's enough. It's not a vacation.If you feel like you need to make a change in your life, or got referred by your doctor or a family member, I fully recommend the place. Recovery is hard, but they'll do their best to make the initial (and scariest, IMO) detox process as easy and comfortable as possible.

Best call I ever made. Not only did they help me through detox, but I was also prescribed depression medications that really helped be during the process. In addition, you are taught how to maintain sobriety. The homes are always kept clean and comfortable and hold at least 8 clients. There is one on one therapy sessions with a certified therapist. The group therapy sessions are kept small so you're not lost in a crowd of people. You are taken to actual AA and NA meetings in the area. You are also taken on weekend trips to a store to purchase personal items, clothing, and snacks for yourself and to the movies, beach, hiking and other fun activities. The staff is genuine in their care for you and give you personal attention. They brought my energy level back up and I feel normal again with more energy and I made numerous new friends that I still keep in contact with and I consider family. I highly recommend this place to anyone that needs help.

Pros: Caring Staff, Balanced Groups, Decent Food as far as rehabs go. Visits are allowed on weekends after 7 days.Cons: Occasionally some clients that need special mental needs met slip in the cracks and it is difficult to replace them where they need to be.It seems like corporate has the budget in too high of a chokehold, I can't imagine 50+ men at a rehab do not facilitate a higher budget than what is currently allocated. Clients shouldn't be able to feel this.If you are not keen on a lot of men around you, consider other options with smaller populations. If you are heading here without a choice, talk to your counselor about any accommodations.If you are looking to get sober, this is a place that runs a dog through the facility and tries to take measures to better facilitate it to those that want to make a serious change for their lives. If you have derailed your life and hit rock bottom, got felonies, or you just got out of prison and have conditions, this is definitely a good spot to put your life back on track. If you are going to rehab for the right reasons, you will not have an issue with 90% of the staff. Most treatment options felt like just like they were farming us for the money, this was NOT one of those facilities.Even if you don't know where you are, give this a shot. I'm glad I did!

The 10 Acres Ranch staff made it a extremely easy process to get admitted really quickly. The staff were very knowledgeable and had excellent past experience. The food was great with Chef Mike on grounds. Dienna and Alejandra always went out of their way and stepped up anytime I needed help with Court and Work. It was also very nice to have two outings per week and LA Fitness gym daily. Sobriety has been the best thing I could have ever done for myself. I would give 10 acre ranch five stars, and I would definitely recommend it to anybody looking to change their life.

I recently went through residential treatment at Rancho Milagro and this place helped save my life!! I was treated excellent and the facility is awesome. The staff was very professional and they treated me with the utmost care. I would not have made the steps I have made in my recovery from addiction without the team at the ranch. I was here for treatment for 8 months and I had an addiction to fentanyl and bipolar disorders . Another rehab didn t want to keep me because of my kidney failure due to drug use and Angelika welcomed me with open arms !! Beautiful spirited woman !! This place is my favorite job yet. I come to work looking forward to connecting with my colleagues and the people I serve. I truly love working here. I have a great appreciation for the ability that this place provides me with, to serve my Patients. We do not only treat opioid dependency but also, If you are uninsured we have a federal grant that will pay for your treatment, while will assist you with applying for Medi-Cal, or even food stamps and cash aid if that s what you need . If you are homeless we will also link you to shelter or even housing as long as you meet criteria. The help is available here at this clinic for those who really want it.We go above and beyond to help folks get their ducks in a row with empathy and dignity.Fun Fact:We host patient appreciation days regularly and have a great time with our patients while we share food.Even outside agencies want to be part of our community and we often get invited to set up a table at community events.

Thank you La Vista! Very welcoming, with a very caring staff and great food too. I went into La Vista seeking sobriety, but left with so much more. I wish I had gone there 30 years ago. The coping skills I acquired while at La Vista are amazing and I use them a hundred times every day. My gratitude cannot be expressed with words alone. This clinic has been a life saver for myself and a few of my closest friends. The girls in the front are amazing and very kind. Let me preface this by saying I am a big reviewer. I read reviews and I leave reviews. Having said that, this is probably the most significant review I have ever and will ever leave in my life.That is for one reason. This place did not change my life, it saved my life.I was a resident at The Prado house for 90 days, from the end of May until the end of August 2024.Nothing I could write, no eloquent words could ever do justice to this program and the amazing staff. Each one is so committed to the well-being of each resident. Johnny, my case manager, is without a doubt top three favorite men in my life. His genuine desire to provide empathetic support is second to none. I cannot sing his praises enough. Kim is amazing and Maggie has to be one of my favorite human beings on this planet. ALL the staff is beyond dedicated.I came in with an 8-year heroin addiction, and a 10-year meth addiction. Among other things. I expected to leave this facility with 90 days clean. And I did that. I never would have imagined those 90 days would now be at the bottom of the list of what I gained in my time there. 90 days sober while you're in "a bubble" is not all that hard to accomplish. Being filled with the confidence, the desire, the faith and given not only a toolbox FULL of tools but the tricks to applying those tools the second you walk out the door, now that's what gives you a fighting chance. I received that in the His House / New Creation program.They carefully transition you at the end of your time there to wherever you and your case manager decide is best. There are MANY options.And their alumni! The HHNC Alumni is second to none! The continual support of like-minded people who are committed to their sobriety and working a solid program of recovery is priceless!I HIGHLY recommend this program to anyone suffering from any type of substance abuse disorder.If you are willing to put in the work and pursue recovery as hard as you pursued your addiction, please, call this program. They have mens homes, a womens home as well as co-ed homes. They accept medi-cal. Even OC medi-cal. As well as private pay.I hope this helps anyone on here looking for information and HOPE. There IS hope! ~~~I'm happy to answer any specific questions about the program, the Prado house etc. I know going into a program can be scary and I know I had a LOT of questions I wish I'd had answers to while researching places. I was a patient at this facility when i was 14, i stayed for 6-7 days. the staff are amazing, a lot of the things they did helped me heal as a person. as much as i always wanted to go home, i needed to be there more than anything. i went in there with dark circles, on an empty stomach and feeling like i had nothing to live for and i was filled with anger . when i first walked into this facility i was genuinely scared and terribly depressed . when i walked out that place i realized that i got more help than i thought. i ve grown so much since ive left, they taught me how to help myself and be happy for myself. i deeply appreciate this facility and the nurses who helped me. i had a hard time talking in there with the other patients but as the days went on i felt like there was something we all had to relate too in this facility. Thank You BMC, you guys helped me a lot and i could never know how to thank all of you guys. i look forward to working here when im older so i can help the children that were once in my place.

I love MFI Recovery. From the moment I started this program it has been nothing but a blessing.The staff there has been so supportive ,caring, and motivating. If you re looking for a place to get sober this is it. they have the best therapist his name is Corey love him. the nursing staff was absolutely incredible Matt, Theresa, Celine and so many others. they really care about you. I really wanted to get sober and the staff knew this. My first time trying to get sober and i for the first time in my life i felt cared for genuinely. they just want to help you. very under appreciated. Goodness Celine was my intake nurse and i was so scared she made me feel so comfortable. Theresa made me feel loved. Matt talked to me about my interests and showed me the stars. Alex did amazing meditations at night, if we wanted. Rosie is an amazing cook and an even better woman. Brandi (or Y only god knows how to spell her name lol sorry :( ) was such a great and engaging person to teach me about addiction. This was the best experience of my life and i cannot thank the staff enough. they still play such a huge part in my sobriety and if i had a bad experience i wouldn t be sober. they saved my life.
