First Last 1 month ago Wow I was reading through the reviews and I’m disappointed in all those that had their bad experience!!! I went back in 2004 I was completely broken in so many ways they all called me corn fed cause I was from Oklahoma I was a mechanic there and kept the fleets going I made it through phase 1 and then started the phase 2 and of course I backslid a bit and got popped with a drug test and failed didn’t want to leave and at the same time didn’t want to restart phase 1 all over again and to be honest some of my best nights were digging holes and I always preferred the ground that wasn’t touched and that dirt sparked at night funny thing was most made it a week or so ordeal in thier holes literally a 6’ deep 6’ long 3’ wide hole it was a burial site and I had it of demons to kill and bury, I didn’t mess around though I busted out my holes within hours of starting, I always loved the morning fire side chats and proverbs chapters and pondering in those verses that spoke to me!!! No matter what in life there has to be a certain amount of suffering to grow and if any of you gripe about those sufferings then yall are missing the entire point!!! Told to bring my own pillow & blanket & scheduled for a driver pick-up. Drive to facility & intake: Donnie answered all of my general questions w/ a calm drive. I walked through the intake forms, insurance paperwork, general overview of detox & expectations of the program. Detox: Supportive Dr. Raja, skilled nursing staff, hospital meals tailored to my nutritional needs & wants, a room to sleep, heal & detoxify my body, I felt confident on my recovery journey. Proximity to the ER is a plus if I needed a higher level of care due to complex medical issues. Counselors: All patients are assigned a counselor. Check-ins on individual situations & progress of your rehabilitation process. They are kind, compassionate & loving humans. Classes: Daily schedules have a variety of holistic rehabilitation classes. A progressive learning experience allowed me to use self-discovery, emotional healing & spiritual growth to face past demons, learn about my own energy (Chakras) & love myself again. HVRC Community: For nearly 90 days, I was immersed in the HVRC family. I didn't respect that about that man because I been through a lot I wonder why he is a therapist there. He doesn't even know me but he made it seem like I was lying about what happened to me in my pass.And it seemed like he had selective hearing like I was talking to myself. I think they need to replace that man and I pray that financially that cedar House stays open for many more years to come. I was way past rock bottom. I was so miserable and couldn’t seem to do anything about it. I had completely destroyed my life by letting alcohol and drugs take over everything. I was standing on my front porch in August of 2021 drunk as ever wanting to die. I had been to rehabs and detox centers over and over and over throughout those 35+ years and nothing ever seemed to work. Something told me to reach out one last time and I thought to myself that if it doesn’t work this time then I am done with life. Here is how I know that my God exists. I dialed the number for a rehab in Chattanooga, Tn. The man that answered was in Murrieta, California at a treatment center called Solution Based Treatment & Detox. They took care of everything and on August 19th, 2021 I was on a plane headed for California. I will never forget the experience of SBT&D. The way that they operate is amazing. They gave me tools to make it through life without all of the nonsense. They showed genuine care and concern for every individual there. You will never find a place as committed to a persons recovery as they are.I learned a lot while I was there and met some really great people. Some of us still stay in touch. The best part about the whole experience, I am still clean and sober! My life is so much better than it was before. I’m not saying that I have a perfect life (it is pretty great though) but I do have an absolute promising clean and sober future ahead of me and it is all because SBT&D taught me that I could enjoy this thing called life without alcohol and drugs. Tanner Fair 1 year ago If you’re really serious about changing your life around then this place is where you need to be. You can bring your pets and they accept couples. The staff here are all amazing and willing to help whenever you ask for help. The chefs: Tiffany and Mike really get down and make some really delicious meals for breakfast lunch and dinner. The nurses Michelle and Amy make sure you take your meds whenever needed and also make check in with you every morning to see if your having withdrawal symptoms such as night terrors, using dreams, tremors, anxiety, depression, all that stuff that you don’t want to feel when you’re withdrawing and they make sure you are prescribed the right meds to prevent all those things. The case workers Alejandra and Angela work above and beyond to make sure everything you need is taken care of. Angela is also the educator and teaches some really informative group classes that help you understand your disease. And the rest of the staff are all amazing and I’m really going to miss all of you! Claudia and Valerie are really sweet and kind and funny. I always looked forward to seeing them at the facility. Dan and RayRay and Joe are all very personable and will give you some of the best advice and it’s only up to you to decide if you wanna take it and run with it. Steve thank you for bringing my partner and I to court on your day off. Banchi is the sweetest person in the entire universe and you made me smile so much and being sober made me appreciate any smiles I got from the staff here. Both the individual and group sessions were meaningful, supportive, and focused on the issues I needed to work on. The staff truly listened and helped me develop the tools I needed for my recovery. The program itself was well organized and kept us engaged with healthy activities, including walks, gym time, arts and crafts, outings, movies, bowling, AA meetings, and other events. There was always something positive and productive to do. The food deserves special recognition as well. The chef consistently prepared healthy, delicious meals that made us feel cared for and at home. The medical team was amazing and went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. I was impressed by the level of care and support available throughout my stay. One thing that makes Whiteside Manor truly special is that the support doesn’t end when the program does. Even after completing treatment, I continue to work with a therapist and still feel welcomed and supported by the staff. That kind of ongoing care is rare and means a great deal.
