Wow I was reading through the reviews and I’m disappointed in all those that had their bad experience!!! I went back in 2004 I was completely broken in so many ways they all called me corn fed cause I was from Oklahoma I was a mechanic there and kept the fleets going I made it through phase 1 and then started the phase 2 and of course I backslid a bit and got popped with a drug test and failed didn’t want to leave and at the same time didn’t want to restart phase 1 all over again and to be honest some of my best nights were digging holes and I always preferred the ground that wasn’t touched and that dirt sparked at night funny thing was most made it a week or so ordeal in thier holes literally a 6’ deep 6’ long 3’ wide hole it was a burial site and I had it of demons to kill and bury, I didn’t mess around though I busted out my holes within hours of starting, I always loved the morning fire side chats and proverbs chapters and pondering in those verses that spoke to me!!! No matter what in life there has to be a certain amount of suffering to grow and if any of you gripe about those sufferings then yall are missing the entire point!!! Bless this place and all that go to it!!!

*October 2025: My first time getting help & going to a recovery center, everything about Hemet Valley Recovery Center was welcoming, transparent & beyond my expectations. HVRC saved my life & has helped me find my life purpose again.
*Initial phone call: Medicare availability & insurance requirements checked. Told to bring my own pillow & blanket & scheduled for a driver pick-up.
*Drive to facility & intake: Donnie answered all of my general questions w/ a calm drive. I walked through the intake forms, insurance paperwork, general overview of detox & expectations of the program.
*Detox: Supportive Dr. Raja, skilled nursing staff, hospital meals tailored to my nutritional needs & wants, a room to sleep, heal & detoxify my body, I felt confident on my recovery journey. Proximity to the ER is a plus if I needed a higher level of care due to complex medical issues.
*Counselors: All patients are assigned a counselor. Check-ins on individual situations & progress of your rehabilitation process. They are kind, compassionate & loving humans.
*Classes: Daily schedules have a variety of holistic rehabilitation classes. Lectures, experiential groups, healthy lifestyles, meditations, yoga, Native American circles, NA/AA meetings, recovery planning, Men & Women’s groups, Just for Today talks, arts & crafts, HVRC has it. Hands down the best learning experience I have ever done (& continue in my personal recovery plan) was “Pain Group” w/ Sherry Burditt, RN, HN-BC (AHNA Board Certified Holistic Nurse) for 5 weeks. A progressive learning experience allowed me to use self-discovery, emotional healing & spiritual growth to face past demons, learn about my own energy (Chakras) & love myself again.
*HVRC Community: For nearly 90 days, I was immersed in the HVRC family. People you share your days & nights with, along with your thoughts, feelings, assignments & food, to the nursing staff, counselors, administrative staff, drivers, the house senior residents/house managers to daily HVRC volunteers, people are supportive, kind & are there to do what is best for mankind: sustain an environment of caring, client-first vibes.
*PHP (partial-hospital patients): Having lived in both female houses, they both provide a calm & healing environment. I have fond memories of rides full of people to & from the center, trips to the ATM or appointments, NA & AA meetings & Soboba’s talking circle.
*Outings: Nails/pedicures/haircuts, AA meetings, doctor appointments/imaging, ATM, Soboba talking circle.
*Family Weekend: AMAZING experience. Run by Lisa, it is a weekend of family & loved ones learning about addiction. Not just the disease itself, but how to support their loved one in & out of treatment, expectations of their loved one coming home, & a session for me & my family to start the healing process.
*Continuing care & Alumni meetings: Thursday nights: an in-person continuing care program that supports HVRC alumni. Counselors offer support in multiple ways. Next is the Alumni in-person/Zoom AA/NA meeting. A great night for a meeting & connecting with so many others who are going through the same thing that I am: staying clean & sober.
*HVRC Alumni events: President Jeff does a GREAT job sharing where the donated money goes. Helping clients with prescriptions, housing & other necessities, to fun things for clients & staff with auction baskets, sit-down dinners, arts & crafts, hiding Easter eggs & Sam the Leprechaun, supplying treats to buy at the Alumni store, cookouts, individual gifts, Veteran recognitions, & more!! HVRC Alumni is a space for us to stay connected by volunteering, supplying resources or giving money year-round.
*I just can’t say enough good things about my recovery & experience from Hemet Valley Recovery Center. Just celebrated 6 months. I thank both my Higher Power & HVRC for being clean & sober today. Therapist James I was telling him what happened to me in my passed I told him what happened that it caused trauma. and he was taken it likely what I was saying to him what happened to me like it didn't happen to me. I knew I wasn't going to talk to him again really if you're going to be a therapist you can't tell someone that what there saying isn't true. I didn't respect that about that man because I been through a lot I wonder why he is a therapist there. Much love and respect to cedar House may the Lord Jesus Christ and God Almighty help every brother and sister to get clean and stay on the right track.Because I left on the first day but I'm doing great thank God I really appreciate the whole staff just when I was telling my testimony he took it likely on what I was saying I been through a lot of trauma and I will not tell James my testimony anymore while I was in the program.Because I talk to a therapist before and they were way better than he was. He doesn't even know me but he made it seem like I was lying about what happened to me in my pass.And it seemed like he had selective hearing like I was talking to myself. I think they need to replace that man and I pray that financially that cedar House stays open for many more years to come. I'm 35 years old I can't program with other man that are focused on the same things of the passed it's more reasons why I left and the programing we were talking about sex I think we should be programing talking recovery and making right decisions and staying away from people of our pass.they could had programs about that when I left I only went to one program that was talking about sex I'm just talking about what I seen on the first program. but to each its on they have to make some things up to make sure everyone is busy if you stay busy in there is no idol time so I understand.im focused on spirituality and .starting this automotive course at chaffey in the summer I'm already signed up and getting in Na Aa meetings I want this better sober life with or without a program God bless you all.

Awesome facility, everyone is so nice and caring, and the therapist Rosa is amazing. My only complaint is they have only one psychiatrist that does not prescribe stimulants. I have a condition which requires a medication that is a stimulant but while I was under care here, I could not get the medication that I needed.

After 35+ years of drinking and drugging I had finally had enough. I was way past rock bottom. I was so miserable and couldn’t seem to do anything about it. I had completely destroyed my life by letting alcohol and drugs take over everything. I was standing on my front porch in August of 2021 drunk as ever wanting to die. I had been to rehabs and detox centers over and over and over throughout those 35+ years and nothing ever seemed to work. Something told me to reach out one last time and I thought to myself that if it doesn’t work this time then I am done with life. Here is how I know that my God exists. I dialed the number for a rehab in Chattanooga, Tn. The man that answered was in Murrieta, California at a treatment center called Solution Based Treatment & Detox. They took care of everything and on August 19th, 2021 I was on a plane headed for California. I will never forget the experience of SBT&D. The way that they operate is amazing. They gave me tools to make it through life without all of the nonsense. They showed genuine care and concern for every individual there. You will never find a place as committed to a persons recovery as they are.I learned a lot while I was there and met some really great people. Some of us still stay in touch. The best part about the whole experience, I am still clean and sober! My life is so much better than it was before. I’m not saying that I have a perfect life (it is pretty great though) but I do have an absolute promising clean and sober future ahead of me and it is all because SBT&D taught me that I could enjoy this thing called life without alcohol and drugs. 10 acre ranch is a great place with lots of friendly staff who care about your recovery there’s a lot I learned here. many skills, and coping strategies that are essential to my recovery, and lots of information that is useful to being able to understand how addiction works. Angela is especially good at her job and has years of wisdom and experience within treatment. You won’t be magically cured after leaving here tho, what you put in is what u get out of it.

If you’re really serious about changing your life around then this place is where you need to be.
You can bring your pets and they accept couples. The staff here are all amazing and willing to help whenever you ask for help. The chefs: Tiffany and Mike really get down and make some really delicious meals for breakfast lunch and dinner. The nurses Michelle and Amy make sure you take your meds whenever needed and also make check in with you every morning to see if your having withdrawal symptoms such as night terrors, using dreams, tremors, anxiety, depression, all that stuff that you don’t want to feel when you’re withdrawing and they make sure you are prescribed the right meds to prevent all those things. The case workers Alejandra and Angela work above and beyond to make sure everything you need is taken care of. Angela is also the educator and teaches some really informative group classes that help you understand your disease. And the rest of the staff are all amazing and I’m really going to miss all of you! Claudia and Valerie are really sweet and kind and funny. I always looked forward to seeing them at the facility. Dan and RayRay and Joe are all very personable and will give you some of the best advice and it’s only up to you to decide if you wanna take it and run with it. Steve thank you for bringing my partner and I to court on your day off. Banchi is the sweetest person in the entire universe and you made me smile so much and being sober made me appreciate any smiles I got from the staff here. Tiffany thank you for all the meaningful talks we had every morning, I always looked forward to seeing you during the weekdays! And Mike thank you for making sure we eat good everyday ! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Five-Star Experience at Whiteside Manor
The counseling services were exceptional. Both the individual and group sessions were meaningful, supportive, and focused on the issues I needed to work on. The staff truly listened and helped me develop the tools I needed for my recovery.
The program itself was well organized and kept us engaged with healthy activities, including walks, gym time, arts and crafts, outings, movies, bowling, AA meetings, and other events. There was always something positive and productive to do.
The food deserves special recognition as well. The chef consistently prepared healthy, delicious meals that made us feel cared for and at home.
The medical team was amazing and went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. I was impressed by the level of care and support available throughout my stay.
One thing that makes Whiteside Manor truly special is that the support doesn’t end when the program does. Even after completing treatment, I continue to work with a therapist and still feel welcomed and supported by the staff. That kind of ongoing care is rare and means a great deal.
Thank you to Anna and the entire Whiteside Manor team for your professionalism, compassion, and dedication. The care and support I received made a lasting impact on my life, and I will always be grateful for everything you have done for me.

I entered this program on 4/18/25, and I spent 31 days here, successfully completing the program. This place was my saving grace, and gave me a second chance in life. I lost my kids due to drugs, and because of GHW, I was able to get on the right track back to having them home with me again. Gibson House for Women gave me my life back! My counselor, Danielle, was and will always be my angel. She had my back from day 1, and was always on top of things. All of the counselors are amazing - they all really do care and most have been down the same roads so they know what you're going through. I was housed with 30 other woman here, and every single one of them became my sober sisters - the most incredible group of women I've ever met iny life. We all had each other to lean on during those times of hardship, and comfort was always there. This place truly is magical, and I can't thank GHW, and the women I went through treatment with enough for everything they've done for me. It was a miracle I ended up here, and the program wasn't exactly easy, but I needed their strict structure at the time, and am so grateful for it. My advice to anyone reading this is STICK WITH IT! IT'S SO WORTH THE REWARDS IN THE END. Don't let anyone take you out of character and destroy the peace you so much deserve.

I just wanted to adjust my rating of this place the Blaine Street adult clinic has been instrumental and influential in my life so of course it deserves five stars all of the people there in the clinicians and therapists are awesome. They offer multiple groups and tomorrow even though having pizza you know but I've also found in order to make any type of recovery or progress you have to find someone to hold you accountable you have to actually be accountable to yourself if you hold yourself accountable you can always see improvement but you won't actually make improvement and tell you have someone hold you accountable. Often times I've blamed others for not seeing the perception of things are potential in them and also once happiness can only be determined by one's self if you respond to another's actions with happiness or sadness they are in control of your emotions that would be insane so that's one good thing I've learned and also if you put in the time and the work and hold yourself accountable you always make improvements hope it's the first time also you should check out the groups and I don't know if I can actually mention any of the therapist my hand but they're all awesome everyone knows that thank you Blaine clinic and I'm sorry that I've always been in pain

2024 was a transformative year for me, and a big part of that was due to my time at A Peace of Mind. As a first-time resident in a sober living environment, I didn’t know what to expect, but from the moment I walked through the doors, I felt welcomed, supported, and understood.
The house provided a safe and structured environment that was crucial for my recovery. The staff were compassionate, knowledgeable, and always available to offer guidance. They truly cared about my progress and went above and beyond to ensure I had the tools and resources I needed to succeed.
What I loved most was the sense of community. The other residents became like family to me, and we supported each other through every step of our journeys. The group meetings, activities, and shared experiences helped me build strong, lasting connections that I know will continue long after leaving the house.

I was here for treatment for 8 months and I had an addiction to fentanyl and bipolar disorders . Another rehab didn’t want to keep me because of my kidney failure due to drug use and Angelika welcomed me with open arms !! Beautiful spirited woman !! She goes above and beyond for her clients and treat you like family !! This rehab is the only reason I got sober ! They let you go at your own pace and won’t be quick to kick you out !! Nice food , nice outtings !! She takes very good care of us !! Don’t think twice about coming it doesn’t feel like a facility or hospital and you get to keep your phone !!
