The medical team was attentive, always checking in and making sure my symptoms were managed properly. Anytime I felt anxious or unsure, someone was there to support me and guide me through it. What stood out the most to me was the environment. It didn’t feel cold or clinical—it felt like a place of healing. The home setting made it easier to relax and focus on getting better. Serafin remains client centered the compassion she shows her clients and tending to their individual needs she arranged activities such as hiking church movies showing clients a new way to live substance free is so important. The food is amazing the staff welcomed me with warmth and love the growth that I experienced here can never be replaced I learned about recovery and showing me another way to live and have confidence in myself once again thank you to liberty to Pat and Lacey for giving me a chance and helping me grow into the person I am today and pushing me when I couldn't push myself. I was fortunate enough to have Paola, the clinical therapist lead, as my main therapist and we uncovered years of traumatic experiences I was not ready to face. The food was good, the patients were sweet, and the staff was on top of things. The only issue I had with this place is I believe they need more Spanish speaking staff on the floor and more phones available. I was an independent duty corpsman so I do know something about medical care. I will say that parking at the main hospital is terrible, especially if you're disabled with a handicapped placard, there are many people parked in handicapped parking without a placard or handicapped license plate, it is better at the clinic. Haven't touched alcohol since July 13th 2016. I always look back on the month I spent here fondly despite the circumstances of needing to check in to rehab being one of the darkest times of my life. The people complaining it's not some 5 star hotel are mental. Yeah you get a tiny bed, you have a bunk mate and the facilities arent the greatest but if you're spending time here you're not there for pleasure. The group therapy and structured days were exactly what my addict/alcoholic self needed. The fact it wasn't some bourgeoisie cushy hotel stay helped me focus on what I was there to do which was to address my alcoholism and addiction. The food was good and and the staff was firm yet caring and considerate. If my insurance would have covered a 3 month stay I would have stayed longer than a month. Keith 2 years ago
