Serenity Knolls saved my daughter's life! First program in 10 years that. Accually helped her heal. Wonderful people work there and the director Nancy Lambert is amazing! I am so grateful that my daughter finally got professional help! I had to beg Kiaser to pay for it but they finally did. Can't say enough about the quality of the therapist there. Also is gorgeous property.

| Bayside Marin Treatment Center is an addiction treatment center that offers drug and alcohol misuse recovery services to individuals living in the San Rafael, California, area. They have plenty to offer with a ton of therapy services and multiple levels of care, including detox services, residential treatment, outpatient programs (OP) and aftercare | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Bayside Marin is an excellent treatment center.
At first, I didn't want to go here, mainly because of negative reviews and hearsay from an acquaintance, and corporate ownership.
But I quickly changed my mind. I came here devestated by a very traumatic year of my life, in as much of a mental health crisis as I was in a substance one. Throughout the length of my stay, I was treated with understanding, patience and compassion.
The bulk of their program is cookie cutter evidence based, but high quality.
The employees at Bayside really care about their work, and their clients, and because of this it didn't have a corporate feel, even though they're owned by Acadia.
What made this stay extra special for me was the therapy and one on one conversations I had with staff. I had the honor and privilege of working with the best therapist I've ever seen. When there's a true match with therapy it can be magical, spiritual. I have transformed into a better version of myself because of the one on one work with my therapist, whose intelligence, wit, patience, and compassion helped me to rise above and shine, despite facing some extremely challenging triggers in residential this time. When you can't fully care about yourself, sometimes you can borrow someone else's faith in you until you're able to care about yourself a little more. By the end of my stay, I felt more confident and centered than I had in a long time.
I also wanted to say, the tech supervisor helped guide me psychologically and spiritually as I faced various challenges at Bayside, and helped revive my interest in spirituality, meditation and awakening.
I had the best spiritual and psychological support I could have asked for, which I thought would be impossible after being at Olympia House in 2022. (Both are good rehabs with their unique strengths and weaknesses. I learned a lot at both, but they're not directly comparable, OH is a little more unique in terms of approach and programming. Bayside was extra meaningful because of the particular therapist I worked with, the behavioral technician supervisor I mentioned and the particular clients I bonded with.
They actually listen to client feedback and I watched them make numerous improvements over the three months I was there.
With that said, there is room for further improvement. Clients are shuffled over to the main campus from detox with very little explanation of where to go and when, which leaves freshly detoxed clients confused, angry, and feeling disrespected. I've been told they're working on fixing this problem.
Scheduling glitches do happen, but that's true of any medium or large rehab. They do their best. And also, sometimes communication can be a little complicated between departments. No place is perfect.
Gorgeous campus. Food was great. I was told this was a rehab for rich people who valued aesthetics over content, but that's not what I found here. They have some incredible talent working for them and client socioeconomic backgrounds are mixed.
Last. I would encourage people, strongly, to ask to change their therapist if the initial assignment isn't a match. I did, and it made all the difference in my stay.

Reflections Executive Dual Diagnosis Rehab in Novato, California, is a treatment center that specializes in providing customized dual diagnosis treatment. They’re staffed with a team of therapists, healthcare pract | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Those struggling and/or in need of help, Reflections is the perfect place.Reflections is differentiated in a few ways. First, their approach is holistic; it's about more than just getting sober. The program includes reading and educational sessions, group discussions/therapy, individual therapy, and a personalized recovery plan. The professionals at Reflections are fantastic with a wide range of issues, including co-occurring disorders. And my program was tailored to involve my loved ones as much or as little as I preferred. Second, as much as it's possible, it's a fun and enjoyable experience. The food is phenomenal, the facilities are beautiful and well-maintained, and the environment is friendly and collegial (with both staff and fellow residents). Third, and most importantly, Reflections is one of the (if not the only) independently owned facilities in the area. This means that staff optimizes around what's best for the resident, and not what's just best for insurance. They truly care about each individual far more than the bottom line, which is apparent in both treatment issues as well as collaborative payment/insurance resolutions.I have two pieces of constructive feedback. One, I recommend stronger communication channels and coordination between the clinical staff and the operations team. I can only imagine how challenging it is to handle the ever-shifting complex operations at Reflections (e.g., living arrangements, staffing, scheduling, speakers, unforeseen individual needs), so it's no easy task. But occasionally there was some confusion on schedule changes with session content and/or timing. However, we were able to quickly resolve these issues as they were raised. And second, my arrival/onboarding was a bit scattered and piecemeal. I did arrive last minute, and my situation was unique (as previously discussed with staff, I moved between the McClay and Simmons facilities after a couple of days). But I would recommend that one staff person be assigned the holistic onboarding process that's completed/reviewed as the resident is acclimating to the program. Those two issues are minor, but I wanted to be comprehensive in my feedback.I built very strong relationships there, ones that I continue to value and maintain months later. I get together with my fellow residents, and I love seeing staff members at meetings and events around the Bay. I feel like I have a new lease on life. I am not happy that I spent time in a facility such as this, but it being necessary, I am thrilled that I chose Reflections for this brief chapter of my (new and much improved) life.

are you wondering if you should go to Reflections? are you scared? trepidatious? worry no more, take my word for it, this is gonna be the best decision you have ever made!the only thing better than the program is the dedication and love you will get from the staff! truly outstanding.facility is top-notch, you are going to be swaddled in cozy blankets and provided with 3 amazing meals designed to aid in your recovery. yes, i went from eating 0-1 times a day to 3 times a day and lost 20 lbs in 30 days there.i will also highly recommend using the exercise area before your day begins, getting outside on walks with Michael and the Crowe, and taking advantage of all the van rides that will introduce you to various support groups.the teams' focus on aftercare is outstanding and will set you up for success when you leave treatment.i went from giving up everything for one thing to giving up one thing in order to have everything. :) :) :)

Avery Lane was a safe, positive and welcoming atmosphere to rehabilitate and learn new tools to use to sustain my sobriety. They use evidence based, modern modalities to treat clients and the staff are amazing and genuine. In addition, there facilities (which are upscale residential houses in Novato) are incredibly nice and clean. I felt like I was on vacation at a resort most of the time. These houses are worth millions and the pools and the amenities were top notch. Food is great and therapists were great. Nurses and techs included! Most of all they ensured continuity of my care and recovery moving forward after completing their program. After initially going to Bayside, Marin, I found Bayside to be too cooperate, basing their client treatment in favoritism and here-say, and rigorous to a flaw (overstimulating and exhausting when you re in post acute withdrawal). It was very stressful at Bayside Marin to complete hefty homework assignments by deadlines in order to have rights such as visitation. Meanwhile Avery Lane practiced common sense and understanding and ensured their care was patient centered. My experience there was life changing. And I might (someday) apply to work their as an RN myself because the culture is so positive and full of supportive women.

Even though they were just one step of my mental health journey, I have never felt the level of care and support they gave.If you do residential they'll do a little school (its really easy and fun), lots of fun seasonal crafts, gaming on pcs or consoles, basketball, baking/cooking, and if you're long-term...field trips!! It was a difficult period in my life and the first few days are so hard, I get it. I had my fair share of cries too. But by the end you'll be sad to leave and love the friends you made. Having a roommate or two also makes it so much better. Even if socializing is uncomfortable for you, everyone is in the same place. The longer you're there the kinder and more fun people are. Some therapists are eh I've heard but mine was phenomenal. In addition, the counselors are so fun. They are interesting and beautiful people who will be there for you if you reach out. Shoutout to the counselor who did a lot of bug are (I don't know if I can name names)Anyways, I went from a sad broken soul to a comfortable and growing broken soul. No program will fix you but this one will guide your journey better than any. If you wanna die, Edgewood is your place.MUCH LOVE!!

But of course,...it could be me, the silence when I enter the place and say "hi" and get no reply ...Otherwise, the place is doing it's job... Although I wonder what the official job title and description is (Of Veteran Case Managers or anyone assigned a potential influence over my fate) ...and what freedoms they are given to recommend a vet to, say, a place they know the vet won't fit in......we all know when someone bears you Ill will, and when it's those assigned to your care, however minor, it Instills distrust in our institutions.

Seeing as I am here on a weekly basis I felt it only a must that i write a review. As you walk through the main double doors and come to the front desk you will be met with nothing but the utmost respect and decency. The men and women that take position here are lovely individuals who genuinely care about your health and well being. No matter if you are a regular or if you are on vacation or just on your way though, I can guarantee they will do there absolute best to help you in what ever you current issue or situation may be. If they are unable to solve your issue do not fret they will not shy away from making you aware that your issue is best suited for the actual VA Hospital which lay just up the hill. You can sit back and relax but don't get too comfortable the wait times are short and you will be in and out in a flash. Yet you can be confident you are getting the best possible care. Comparing to any other VA Clinics's or any VA affiliated medical facility this by far exceeded my expectations and has been such a gift to have in these past months.

Ohlhoff Recovery Prog | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I invested a lot of time into writing this review because I want to genuinely help anyone considering Ohlhoff. This is the best rehab and recovery program I have found. I experienced bad and researched my ass off on rehabs. I prayed for the best program for me and I found it. The food is excellent! The counselors truly genuinely care and the director was caring and helpful and kind from the very beginning. I cant tell you how grateful I am to be at Ohlhoff and working a solid program and in the hands of caring professional therapists, counselors, director and staff. THIS IS THE BEST IN THE INDUSTRY! If you want positive results and have the desire to recover this is the place to be.

Saint Francis Memorial Hospital – Behavioral H | Treatments Programs Payment Options | In a world absolutely ruined by late-stage capitalism and while we all suffer the consequences health insurance has wrought unto our society. It can seem like an insurmountable obstacle as an uninsured person especially in the moment of suffering but the experience i had was unlike any other hospital visit i've ever had. Their compassion and empathy sets this place apart from the rest.Ive been between jobs and feeling like my world's been crumbling down around me; so when my recent medical emergency reared its head Eddette, Laura, and Fatima were the kind, warm professionals you really only ever hope to cross paths with and the three of them flipped my perception of hospitals with what seemed like no effort on their parts. Natural compassion, empathy, talent, and overall aura is what you always dream of experiencing at the hospital. Not that i want to go to the ER ever again, if i have to, i hope its within THEIR ER. (GIVE THESE CATS A RAISE!).Arguably this hospital serves the most diverse part of the city and it shows. This team and especially these key players, can turn your visit from a harrowing solo nightmare into a warm visit with relatives (that are hopefully not "too disappointed" in you ending up in the ER again but still love you anyway). Its got incredible vibes; the service was the best experience i could have had from a medical emergency. Thank you guys! <3And again shout out for helping me find coverage in such a dark time without even having to ask. You guys are the best!
