I was admitted 04/22/24. Recovering from opioid addiction. This was my second time around. However, this time I put in a maximum effort in every group along with every assignment..I wanted to be successful in my recovery. I was warmly greeted and got down to business. It's is amazing what we can accomplish with a open mind, trusting heart and a willing spirit. The staff was incredible.. truthful.. and actually cared. Currently I am 92 days sober...no wants or desires ...or cravings. I strongly recommend Mrs Sherry " pain group " it is intense....but it had such a profound effect in my life. If you need help.. reach out, HVRC is in the top 20 centers in the nation I usually don't do reviews.... Every word is true and heartfelt... I now have a greatful additude and the desire to help my brothers and sisters who are in need. Just reach out... God bless .. David ( LT )

It feels weird posting a review of a rehab, facility, huh? Well, if it helps make anyone feel more comfortable and confident in seeking help, I guess it's worth it. I did a medical detox from benzos here. The staff are all wonderful, caring people, who take good care of you and try to keep you comfortable and safe. With their treatment, I felt no withdrawal symptoms and aside from some drowsiness, no side effects. The only possible complaint I have is the food, but it kept me nutritionally satisfied, and that's enough. It's not a vacation. If you feel like you need to make a change in your life, or got referred by your doctor or a family member, I fully recommend the place. Recovery is hard, but they'll do their best to make the initial (and scariest, IMO) detox process as easy and comfortable as possible.

Just celebrated 8 years sobriety! This place saved my life. They are very well organized and understand treatment and recovery. I wasn't necessarily very open-minded in the beginning but I'm so glad I didn't quit and leave not everybody stays sober and I understand that and this place doesn't guarantee anything however it is a beginning and for me it was pivotal. Every day is a new day to embrace change. I learned that from MFI. I am forever grateful! Stay connected to the people in recovery and more importantly be available and responsible for people that need the help and you can keep your recovery. Miss Dove is a great counselor ... Staff is professional, experienced and well skilled! Saved my life!!!

Pros: Caring Staff, Balanced Groups, Decent Food as far as rehabs go. Visits are allowed on weekends after 7 days. Cons: Occasionally some clients that need special mental needs met slip in the cracks and it is difficult to replace them where they need to be. It seems like corporate has the budget in too high of a chokehold, I can't imagine 50+ men at a rehab do not facilitate a higher budget than what is currently allocated. Clients shouldn't be able to feel this. If you are not keen on a lot of men around you, consider other options with smaller populations. If you are heading here without a choice, talk to your counselor about any accommodations. If you are looking to get sober, this is a place that runs a dog through the facility and tries to take measures to better facilitate it to those that want to make a serious change for their lives. If you have derailed your life and hit rock bottom, got felonies, or you just got out of prison and have conditions, this is definitely a good spot to put your life back on track. If you are going to rehab for the right reasons, you will not have an issue with 90% of the staff. Most treatment options felt like just like they were farming us for the money, this was NOT one of those facilities. Even if you don't know where you are, give this a shot. I'm glad I did!

* I would like to edit my review to say that although I’ve had my differences with certain staff and the program manager they do an excellent job and do have genuine care and concern for clients I appreciate whiteside for helping me navigate through my rough patch in life and Anna for always keeping it real.* More than it appears, my experience at Whiteside is a complex blend of positive and negative aspects. While I genuinely believe Whiteside is a special place. There are many positive aspects of Whiteside that I appreciate. Ron, the owner, genuinely cares about the clients, and the facility itself fosters a healing environment. Majority of the counselors are incredibly talented and supportive.

Good recovery people that care

I came here starting in September of '15, and left in November the same year. This place helped me get my life back. Going on five years sober this September. I was here for treatment for 8 months and I had an addiction to fentanyl and bipolar disorders . Another rehab didn’t want to keep me because of my kidney failure due to drug use and Angelika welcomed me with open arms !! Beautiful spirited woman !! She goes above and beyond for her clients and treat you like family !! This rehab is the only reason I got sober ! They let you go at your own pace and won’t be quick to kick you out !! Nice food , nice outtings !! She takes very good care of us !! Don’t think twice about coming it doesn’t feel like a facility or hospital and you get to keep your phone !! Nice bedrooms , big beds , your own bathroom and my favorite No ROOM Mates ! And btw Chris the Manager is awesome!!! The only people that had problems with him were the ones that weren’t serious about the sobriety!! He was one of my favorites !

This place is truly a house of miracles. I know this because I worked there for a year as a counselor. They truly do care about people and are very determined to give them hope for a better future. This is a place that you can find purpose for your life and get a fresh start. If you want a place to get away from your addiction and find true peace and tranquility with animal freinds and good people then this is the place for you.

Rancho Milagro helped me with my journey to being a drug free addict. Some staff are very spiritual and if you choose they will guide you spiritually. Brandon, Michelle very spiritual. The ones that aren't still respect your higher power. No judging. Some of them can relate to us the addicts. I recommend this place to heal your addiction and your soul. All the seligible. respectful. Just go in there they help you with work and disability compensation if you are elgible.

Judee is a life saver! She was so helpful and knowledgeable! She got my son approved for outpatient and in patient treatment within days! She was genuine and cared about our son’s safety, health and empathized with us as parents going through this for the first time! She never gave up and gave us so many options to help him every step of the way! Everyone at IOP and the Ranch were welcoming and made a huge difference and impact in my son’s life. I can’t thank this community enough for saving my son’s life! We will visit the ranch soon to thank everyone in person!

The entire staff is very friendly. They care about there patients.

I was with them for 2 years and they are really awesome. DR.RUTH is a very caring person and understands what your going through and wants to help you. As for the team Once you get to know the girls in the front they are so cool and very helpful. I had 3 counselors my first counselor I did have a problem with, but I got transfer to another counselor which was the supervisor and she was one of the best ones I had and Mike he is another counselor that is awesome. Kim is another supervisor for the front office and she is amazing. I am very happy to get to know everyone there.

I had a wonderful experience here! From the staff members to the positive brotherhood here with all the guys. The classes here are very insightful and I have a learned a lot about addiction, myself and many other things. Also it’s a beautiful scenery and plenty of activities to do like pool, gym pickle ball, pool table and even a music studio.. just make sure you come prepared with clothes and your own hygiene products. The only complaint I have is they were short on towels when I got here.

2024 was a transformative year for me, and a big part of that was due to my time at A Peace of Mind. As a first-time resident in a sober living environment, I didn’t know what to expect, but from the moment I walked through the doors, I felt welcomed, supported, and understood. The house provided a safe and structured environment that was crucial for my recovery. The staff were compassionate, knowledgeable, and always available to offer guidance. They truly cared about my progress and went above and beyond to ensure I had the tools and resources I needed to succeed. What I loved most was the sense of community. The other residents became like family to me, and we supported each other through every step of our journeys. The group meetings, activities, and shared experiences helped me build strong, lasting connections that I know will continue long after leaving the house. This sober living house didn’t just give me a place to stay; it gave me a fresh start, hope for the future, and the strength to continue on my path to sobriety. My bed was right next to the ice cold AC and I would sleep like a baby! I always wanted to be home. I love the Old Victorian look and feel. I can’t thank the team enough for everything they’ve done for me. t's very important to me that this review reaches the highest level of supervisors or authorities at this whole institution. Far too many times people are willing to go out of their way to leave a review when they have a bad or unpleasant experience somewhere. But when there's a great experience or something goes well, it gets unsaid, nobody ever hears about it. Dr Reier, is an example of someone who should be recognized and praised publicly! Less than 12 hours of being admitted into the hospital, after a visit to the ER, for numbness and tingling in my legs, Neurosurgeon, Dr Reier, enters my room and explains to me, with a language I can understand, what is taking place in my body. He then gives me an explanation of the treatment and need for emergency surgery. He spoke with a confidence and I easily trusted him. With no hesitation or delay, I was prepped and ready for surgery. All the departments Came together and strategically did their parts. The process seemed to take place so perfectly and for that I had instant gratitude. What came next is what really blew my mind. First realizing that this team of surgeons had just prevented me from having a lifetime of permanent bowel and urine dysfunction and possibly paralysis. This team or should I say teams of family medicine Doctors and neurosurgeons and follow up care professionals, have given me an experience I would have never expected. I swear they should have just all had a set of wings and been floating in the air. I have never seen so many kind people, especially in the medical field where people are crabby and moody.. it almost seems unreal that doctor after doctor nurse after nurse, everybody who has entered my room, has done so with such a pleasant grace that makes me emotional to think that these people exist and actually care about my health and my condition. Dr Reier, has gone way above and way beyond what's normally expected from a surgeon? He has spent extra time, never making me feel rushed or like he was bothered. He requested that my family stay back so that he could give a full. Illustration, to explain to them and help them understand the situation. He has communicated with them and made sure that they understand what's going on amd what's going to come. We are so grateful to him. Every single nurse that has been assigned to me, has been wonderful. It seems as though this entire staff took an extra course in kindness. ICU nurses Dana, Diana, Alzen, Allison, Eliza, charge nurses Brittney and Sarah, oh my goodness these women deserve to be honored for the level of care that they provide so lovingly. Each one has given me such genuine polite kind, sweet treatment because this time for me has been very challenging and the pain that i'm going through, along with the other things like not being able to use the bathroom on my own and so on. Not one of these women has made me feel uncomfortable or inconvenienced. Let's talk about the team!!! Omg!!!! With all that has already been said about the fore-mentioned people, you already think it can't get any better than this. Then WOW here comes the team. Dr Goorhuis or as I call him, Dr G. Dr Potes Dr Esmeralda Dr Dahliwal The emotions that I feel as I write these statements is overwhelming. This team came in every day professionally and joyfully. They answered every question me or my family had. They were patient, kind, knowledgeable, and invested. In closing I urge you to please place a copy of this letter on the desktop of each person mentioned in it! Dr Reier you saved my life!!! This team of members deserves to be recognized greatly for their service. Each person mentioned has made a tremendous impact in my life that I will never forget!

This is an amazing recovery center! The staff went above and beyond to make sure I felt wanted, supported, and well taken care of. They created an environment where I felt valued, and that made a big difference in my recovery. They are supportive when it comes to family members and taught me how important healthy boundaries are to maintain. I would recommend anyone looking for a safe and healthy place to learn to love themselves again and get sober to go to Liberty House Recovery!
