This place seems like it is amazing, and I’m so grateful it exists. However, when I called to see if I could relay a message to my brother who is staying there, I had an unpleasant experience. Amber answered the phone, and I introduced myself as his sister. Before I could explain further, she curtly said she couldn’t confirm whether he was staying there and then hung up on me. I understand there may be privacy policies, but the interaction felt unnecessarily cold and dismissive. Unfortunately, this left me with a poor first impression.

Hey all this is Izzy and I want to give a big shout out to all the Lakes family and staff. First I want to start with Bernadette an Travis! I appreciate them greatly for giving me the opportunity to put my life in check again. I couldn’t have don’t it without you and I am truly grateful. However I want to give a super big shoutout to my first counselor Jeremy helped me greatly in my communication skills with my wife and my disease. Now this next shout out goes out to RA who I believe should be a counselor he is on a great path and has helped me shine with others I didn’t think I could get along with. He’s a great inspiration to my life and changing my life style I look up to you brother Joey. My heart is with you man and I know you will achieve your goals as a counselor one day as you have counseled me through a lot of things with good advice and tools that I now carry with me. You are the greatest brother one love your little brother Izzy. I also want to give one more shout out to a really good RA by the name of Jaime you stood by me as a friend with understanding and you never judged me. We were always equal and it helped me to see each individual equal as well. I love you go girl your are a killer RA. The lakes is lucky to have you. Hello my name is Ruben i just graduated from the lakes treatment center with 83 days clean and sober and now living in a sober living home in Huntington beach California i was addicted to fentanyl and meth for so many years of my life coming to the lakes I did not know what to expect but it was the best rehab and detox I have ever experienced I appreciate Bernadette and Travis for giving me the opportunity and the pleasure of coming there and Bella and Finley the wiener dog was very cool to but honestly if it wasn't for the#1 RA Joey being there and guiding me thru all my difficult times and being so understanding and so helpful with guidance and support I couldn't do it with out him that man helped me dig deep within myself and showed me that anything is possible and no matter what background we come from AS LONG AS WE REACH FOR OUR DREAMS ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE,I love you Joey you changed my life and made the biggest impact in my life nobody has ever pushed me to do so good ever and I wish you the best brotha also I gotta shout out to RACHEL ,Trish,Dustin& my brottha Dj, Steve Brad ,Zach and RT all the am crew was so awesome all the kitchen staff was awesome i love you Paula and all the females in the kitchen your lady's are all amazing women love you guys also shout out to the the nurses the whole pm crew rocked Thank you guyS I have been struggling to stay clean for so many years and I finally found the tools and the right people to help me stay positive and hold my self accountable for my actions and I just want everybody to know that we all deserve a second chance in life and I wish everyone a sober and healthy life Thanks Lakes family

I had a really memorable experience. Totally changed my mindset in a positive way. Dr. Chanter was great along with the other therapists, nurses and staff. I stayed for 37 days but wouldn’t mind staying longer if I needed to. Couldn’t recommend this place anymore. I also heard the other locations are great as well.

All the staff were professional, kind, knowledgeable and helpful with every aspect of my recovery. Group therapy was organized and meaningful. Individual counselors provided great support for me and my family. The after care plan is amazing and supportive once you leave the inpatient stay.

My personal experience at new start in concord is was phenomenal. I spent 31 days in the residential program including detox and all around had such a great experience that it was difficult to leave. To start, the medical staff while I was in detox took care of all of my needs. The med techs, nurse practitioners and doctors made sure that I had a comfortable experience while going through the scary process of withdrawing. Not once did I run out of medication and they always made me feel like they cared for my wellbeing and safety. While in residential, the counselors, group facilitators, therapists, and case managers were amazing! Each and every one of them. They had so much knowledge, experience and education, and I learned so much. My personal therapist, Mellisa was absolutely wonderful, and she helped me dig deep and figure out the root causes of my issues that were tied to my past traumas. The family sessions were also extremely helpful. Moving onto the assistant Director and head Director, who both truly cared about the program, the clients, and their staff. It was evident in how the program ran like a perfect machine. They also took us on fun outings, like bowling and going to the beach. The facility was comfortable, clean and well organized. We have full-time staff that keep each bedroom and area of the buildings clean and provided the clients with all of our basic needs. I want to give a shout out to Ofi who was like everyone’s mom. We had some awesome amenities too like a gym, A game room, and an outside movie theater with a fire pit. I will truly miss my time at New Start in Concord, and will forever be grateful for this experience. Thank you :)

This is hands down the best staff we are so fortunate to have all these wonderful staff members to help you continue with ur journey to recovery I know they got new supervisor and it seems like since they did its gotten so much better I've been sober since Oct 27 2021 and this clinic has a loving personal intimate feel to it the others do not I will continue to only use this clinic to continue my. Success on recovering oh and I think Michael and Moises are the absolute best ppl that are in this field couldn't ask for anthiing better I am so lucky to have such an awesome counselor I have such a strong connection with him just grateful all the way around I honest to God couldn't say one bad thing about this place or how they run it

I have been coming here for years. This place saved my life. I was lucky for so long to have an amazing counselor with Corinna until she left. Still miss her! Then I got to be with Monica for a while until she ended up leaving. Miss her too! And now I am with Juanita and she is also awesome! I have been very lucky with the counselors I have had. Juanita inspires and encourages me every time I talk to her! I am very lucky to have her as my counselor! Although I hope to safely be off eventually I am grateful to this clinic for everything they have done. The employees here have always been kind to me and helpful.

I want to say thank u to the staff for making me feel like I am someone. I'm have the best counselor 💜Juanita she is a blessing and so much more. ~N~ 💜Audrey she's a angel in disguise she will help anyway possible. Then there is the Diva 💜Monica she is the diva that will talk with anyone and tell u how it is but has a soft heart ♥. Arlene the smiling face u will see when u walk in everyday she will try to help u with anything possible. She's a sweetheart all the employees I have came across have been so awesome there r just so many to mention. They give everyone a chance at getting help they r a blessing I just want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH BAART PROGRAM VAN NESS.

Today is my "clean date" and as of TODAY I have 1 year clean and sober. This Facility saved my life! I've made several attempts at sobriety before stepping into New Dawn, but none of them approached the disease of addiction like New Dawn. They have such a different approach at treating addiction. Reiki, massage therapy, equine therapy, ECT. The staff is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Extremely knowledgeable, and helpful. These people truly are there to help people. If you're considering getting sober New Dawn is, in my opinion, the best treatment center in the state of California. Possibly the country.

I should have left a message years ago as Ive been a member of this clinic for 15 years and working my way off methadone. In short, the Methadone clinic basically saved my life and my future. The nurses are so patient with all the irritated and suffering. Thank you Alexian Methadone Clinic and Dr. Raghuraman and her staff.

Honestly this was not what I expected, in a good way lol. I felt safe to talk about stuff with ppl my age. The outpatient part let me stay in school. I just wish there was more on campus support after. Still helped me tons!

I came in not expectin much, but it actually helped me figure stuff out. The staff really listened and didn’t treat me like a criminal. Wish they had more for music but still felt heard. Def helped my case too.

It’s not the easiest thing watching your grown child struggle again, but this place gave me a little peace. The staff was very compassionate, and I really appreciated how they involved the whole family. I just wish the aftercare had more structure.
