It was my first time going into treatment and I was scared to fly to California. I'm happy I made the decision to trust Enlight with my safety and wellbeing. These people really know how to change lives, speaking from experience. I was battling with alcohol, drugs and mental health issues that I was never able to address. I was scared that my job was going to penalize me but the team worked well with my employer so that I can really take my time and focus on my recovery. This was the best decision I have ever made. As I sit here, dead of winter in Upstate New York. I appreciate the time I spent at Enlight Treatment center. This is usually the time I would look for something to lift my mood. Depression gets the best of me and I spiral. I was able to really open up there. I was able to unload and place a lot of my unresolved feelings aside. They really have wonderful people there. If you're serious about getting rid of whatever it is you need to get rid of.. I would absolutely go! The food wasn't too bad either😘

As a past client, I liked it here. Not just cause of the house, but I felt safe there. After a while it felt more like home than my real house so I started calling it home. The staff were helpful and supportive. They didn't send me off to inpatient like other places would have when I was struggling. After trauma with the cops, in the last place, I was scared to leave cause of the outside world. I felt like I would be lost without them.

My name is Steven Garcia, I’ve never written a review about anything but this place changed my entire life and future. I was 17 when I went to hillcrest treatment facility and heavily addicted to substances. As soon as I stepped inside I was welcome in with open arms. We had fresh meals made daily, fitness, and as well as other activities to get my natural dopamine back up, I made lifelong friendships and lifelong heart touching memories. It was the best time of my life and I stayed sober ever since then and I am 20 now, I bought my own car and I will be moving out into my own apartment soon. The caregivers and therapists and everyone involved was amazing and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I wasn’t able to keep in contact with them due to rules but I think about the caregivers, therapists and my experience that I had there every single day, it was so touching that every day I strive to do better because I think about all the people that helped me at hillcrest, eventually if possible I would even like to get a job there to help kids like I was helped. It was the most amazing heart warming experience I’ve had in my entire life and I would recommend this place a million times to anyone. If anyone from hillcrest that remembers me sees this, thank you for changing my life I truly wouldn’t be in the position I’m in if I never met all of you.

The treatment programs are comprehensive and they are an excellent center for teen recovery.

Updated review; Thank you to everyone at this clinic; The staff at the front desk, nurses, counselors and the physician assistant (Jimmy)- all of have been so supportive and professional. I am so grateful for this program, it’s saved my life. This treatment is highly misunderstood and undervalued. Methadone maintenance gave my children a mother, my parents; a daughter and my employer; a trusted employee. I transferred over to Aegis from another “local” clinic- the difference between the two is (sadly) unbelievable. *If only every company was managed like Aegis… I am forever grateful to have access to this amazing service.

I had no bad experiences whatsoever the entire three months I was here, my therapist was AMAZING the counselors were great, the chefs as awesome as his food, Anastasia did everything in her power to accommodate any requests. Amazing place 10/10 would recommend. I hope I never need to go back to treatment but if I do I’m calling Anastasia forsure.

Inspire was a life-saving experience for me. The staff is incredible, genuinely caring, and Dr. Lugo, my therapist, is a true miracle worker who saw through me and helped me confront my issues. Anastasia , though initially intimidating, is actually the kindest person, and Suzanne ensured I had proper aftercare. The fact that it's a family-owned facility is amazing, as the entire family goes above and beyond to support you during your darkest times. I'm immensely thankful for the 90 days I spent at Inspire..

My 12 year old son stayed at Beachside for two months in the spring and we brought home a changed child. After struggling with some significant trauma, the counselors that worked with my son were truly wonderful. The weekend activities were excellent including boating and trips to amusement parks. During the week, he learned to surf, completed his school curriculum so that he could graduate from his regular education elementary school, and took hikes at beautiful locations around Malibu. He loved the food, and participated in group and music therapy as well as individual counseling. We spoke on the phone most nights and had great weekend visits. My son is now a thriving 7th grader, enjoying school and close relationships with his friends. I would encourage anyone struggling to give your child the gift of this healing environment.

Our daughter had been prescribed a strong medication after she was hurt during gymnastics practice. We never expected it to lead to an addiction. We’re so grateful to the staff of Beachside for helping her when we could not.

I recently completed a month’s stay at The Pointe and am writing this review so that others dealing with pain and/or substance dependence consider this program. This is an exceptional program for many reasons— the sheer beauty and tranquility of its location overlooking the ocean, the exceptionally caring and highly skilled non-medical and medical staff, the content of the program itself and its application of cutting edge science in the treatment of both pain and addiction, and the remarkably healthy and delicious food prepared with care and attention to individual dietary needs. I highly recommend this program. It meets one where they are and helps one navigate through a difficult time, providing resources, skills, and self-knowledge to continue on one’s own.

This place changed and SAVED my life. It gave me a safe space to heal and provided trustworthy caregivers, doctors and therapists to give me guidance into sobriety and emotional healing. I am 4 months and 24 days clean from drugs and alcohol and I would recommend The Pointe to everyone and anyone. Your loved one or yourself will be taken care of here and it’s so worth it. I have been to other treatment centers in my first bout of trying to get sober in 2020 and The Pointe goes above and beyond. I’m at a completely different mindset and although getting sober is hard work, I truly think The Pointe not only is a beautiful and sacred place to get sober in but every single person went above and beyond to care about me and teach me so many tools to have the open and sober mindset I have now. I am SO incredibly grateful for every person at the Pointe and the three months I spent there. My life is now in a place I didn’t even know was possible. This place helped me get off Xanax . I was on it for 11 years. I was able to do a 32 day taper using kolonopin here . It really wasn’t as bad as I thought it was gonna be , not easy but not as bad an experience as I had heard about. It kind of feels like a hotel and the experience feels like school , the staff is very nice and accommodating here .

This place went beyond what I expected. The surroundings were peaceful, the rooms were private and the staff genuinely cared about me. The meals were pretty tasty. I have had an active mental health practice for the past 30 years and, without hesitation, would recommend the Avalon Malibu Rehabilitation Center. I have found that they offer an excellent, state of the art dual diagnosis treatment program that embraces a research evidence based treatment approach that encompasses multiple types of treatment modalities that can be tailored to fit each client’s specific and unique needs. I have utilized the services of many different similar programs for my clients, but my experiences with Avalon Malibu have been without equal. The professional staff are well trained and experienced, and provide a warm and supportive treatment environment. My clients have greatly benefitted from their treatment at Avalon, with notably lessened risk of relapse, and greater and more sustained mood stability – something that is a challenge for clients who are in crisis. I am also impressed by Avalon’s focus on aftercare planning, and how they assist their clients with crafting outpatient treatment to further stabilize and continue their therapeutic progress when they return home.

I am so grateful for Avalon in so so so many ways. My life went way off track and I couldn’t get out of my own way. The team at Avalon (esp my therapist and psychiatrist) guided me through some old traumas and today I’m doing so much better. And that's because they understood it and helped me put it behind me. This is a wonderful place for trauma resolution. There are no words to describe the gratitude I have for this place, not only did they help my kids father get sober but I owe this place my life for saving me when I saw no way out of a hopeless state of mind I walked into VRC a broken lost and scared girl & I completed the program a woman who can hold her head up with integrity and dignity, the staff not only loved me until I could love myself again but they held my hand through many situations I didn’t think I could face, if your looking for real sobriety, amazing care, and to feel like your home this is your place, it wasn’t always easy and fun but what I learned here is that I never have to face life alone again, and god forbid I had to go back to rehab I would come back here with out a doubt!! I can’t speak to anyone else’s experience at visions, but i can say with certainty that I owe my sobriety & my life as it is today to the councilors & staff at visions. There’s no such thing as a perfect treatment center, & if you are searching the internet for one I promise you wont find it, but visions is as close as it gets. I went through Mulholland & extended care starting in july of 2025 going into December when i went home. I’m a year sober now & visions is the place that gave me the tools to make that happen for myself. The majority of treatment centers & rehabs out there truly only exist to profit off of suffering, i’ve been through places like that & I promise you visions is not one of these places. the majority of the staff are in recovery themselves & if you’re willing to do the work, visions is the best place to do it. the program at visions in residential & extended care is so much more than a guide to recovery from addiction, it’s a guide on how to function in the world. I was using since i was 12 before i came into treatment and there were very basic things i was clueless about. i learned how to do my own laundry at visions, how to wash dishes properly & sweep floors. i learned the importance of pulling your weight when you’re living in a shared space, social skills, common sense & so much more. It sounds silly, like stuff that everyone should know, but i know several others who were in the same boat as me. I don’t know where i’d be without visions & frankly I don’t want to know. Clayton, claudia, hannah, beth & the countless other staff members who made a positive impact in my life are the reason why i am where i am today. I will forever be grateful for visions.

My son has been to residential treatment at Vision twice. After the treament his perspective has changed a lot. Both the time he had a great team who helped him cope with his anxiety. He had 2 awesome therapists who changed his life for the better. Clayton and Claudia are the best. Everyone from his care team did outstanding job. I can't thank them enough. They are THE BEST. I wanted to write a true and honest review so I deleted the last one, I came to BNI at the age of 14 I was highly addicted to alcohol and nicotine, I was also know for self harming a lot. I wanna start by saying I didn’t think treatment was gonna work I mean I wanted it too but I usually get kicked out of places, 4-5 months I spent in treatment, Meeting new people, learning coping skills and talking about my trauma and addiction. I want to thank my therapist Mariana, I love her so dearly much. When I first met her I was js ranting bout the ahit I been through thinking she’s js another therapist, she wasn’t she stayed. She helped me through all my bad moments and memories. I wouldn’t have made it this far without her. Te amo mucho Mariana. Now for the staff and nurses, I’m js gonna list the ppl who helped me, Nazaria, Sal, Jen, Jenny, Diana, Letty, Maria, Steve, Samin, Lyndsie, Blanca, Alexa, Karla, Maribel, Rocky, and Andrea, It’s not in order but all these staff had helped me on way or another when it came to recovery and going to a lower level of care. So if you know a kid who’s really struggling someone who hates treatment centers, I recommend this place. I promise they will take great care of you and you will get the help you need trusttttt 💗💋

I can say from experience of being at BNI, Nurses and staff treat you so well. Yes they might have an attitude sometimes but they are really caring. I went bc I was a danger to myself and one of the nurses Mirabel helped me learn ways to cope and she was like a mother. I want to give a shout out to Mirabel, Sal, Jen, Jenny, Nazaria, Diana,l letiti, Alexa, And everyone other staff. BNI is the best treatment center I’ve been to and by the time I discharged I had learned so many coping skills and how to manage my anger. When I came in struggling with alcohol addiction and depression, the team was compassionate. Alcohol rehabilitation, dual diagnosis care and therapies such as yoga, equine therapy and art therapy together made a huge difference. I also found peace in beach walks and meditation. I feel stronger, healthier, and more connected to myself than ever before.

I am grateful to Seasons in Malibu for getting me out of a difficult situation. They handled the detox carefully, and the residential treatment gave me the structure I needed. I'm still in the aftercare program, and I feel hopeful again.

Can't say enough good things about this place. I still dont know how God placed them in our lives but he did. This place is where I got sober and finally stayed sober. Brian, Jude, Ginger, and Chris were instrumental in helping me gather the tools I needed to maintain my sobriety and believe in myself. The therapists are not equipped to handle more complex patients with extensive trauma so I suggest getting an outside therapist. They told me they couldn't help me in my therapy sessions but the groups about the big book and living that way of life are what really helped me understand myself and my disease. Brian’s lessons and wisdom helped so much, the clinicians believed I was faking my happiness and peace but it was inside those walls, I found my higher power and purpose. Oak forest is a stepping stone that teaches you how to help yourself stay sober. There was so much doubt from the other staff I met there, that I was so determined to succeed. There was one young female counselor and one older female in admin that gave me a lot of trouble and only favored the boys so be prepared to find your voice and never be afraid to use it. Trust in the 12 steps and those there that are loving and only want to see you break free from the shackles of alcoholism and addiction. Thank you for everything, Oak Forest. Ps.
