I was a patient at DFC rehab facility and recently graduated. I can say hands down they saved my life . Not only did they teach me about alcoholism and what it means to be in recovery . i developed long time friendships that i know will help me to stay sober . i also loved how caring the staff where. I wasn't the easiest patient at first but with their love and support i was able to not only become a recovering alcoholic but i have become a whole new person . I would highly recommend going here if you or a family member is still struggling

This was my second tine in DFC outpatient treatment, the reason I chose DFC was their teaching, there, client, and the friendly environment. I have been to many treatment centers in my past when I knew in my heart I was serious about recovering from drugs and alcohol. There was no other place that I wanted to go other than Design For Change. They give group and individual counseling tailored for the individual which helped me tremendously. They help me find out what I want and how to go about getting it in the group setting they don’t allow disturbances. They make sure everyone is focused. An attentive, which makes it easy to learn. DFC, my wife says thank you for giving her her husband back.

I have attended the Family Workshop many times. It is so amazing and has helped me so much. Dealing with addicted loved ones is so hard. You must have a support system to help you navigate all of the scary, stressful heartbreaking realities of this disease. The Design For Change staff have become like family to me. I know I can call on them when I need advice, someone to listen or just a shoulder to weep on. They understand and are always willing to help. I feel so very blessed to have found them. I wish every suffering addict and their family members would come to DFC for support and help. I am stronger and definitely more educated in dealing with my addicted loved ones one. If you are suffering from addiction or have a family member or loved one who is an addict, there is hope and help at DFC!

Dedicato saved my life and the life of my unborn son... Because of the work and commitment they provided me i was able to obtain custody of all 3 of my kids. Today I am clean and sober and loving life. I never imagined my life would ever be like this. I am so grateful for the Marshalls when I was going through my toughest times they were there for me. They gave me hope. Today I use the tools I learned in my everyday life. My kids are happy and we finally have a home. Dr Marshall taught me a lot and by doing so I was able to get a job as an outreach representative for a community health center. Who would of thought an addict like me would be where I am today. If you are reading this review I would say give yourself a chance and go for it. Dedicato is there for you like they were for me. Thank you again Dr. Marshall.

Dr. Marshal completely changed my life. Thanks to his guidance and the tools I received at Dedication, I now have almost five years of sobriety and this year, I opened my first women’s sober living home. More importantly, I’ve been able to heal not just within myself, but with my family too. What makes Dr. Marshal different is that he tells the truth—even when it’s hard to hear. This isn’t some watered-down, feel-good program that takes your money and leaves you empty. This is real healing. He offers a clear and honest design for living—one that truly works if you’re ready to commit. I’m living proof. The pictures are some proud moments over the years. I felt lost, anxious, confused, and ashamed. But as soon as I stepped into DEDICATO they treated me with compassion and empathy, I wasn't judged at all. I felt so at ease and comfortable. Dr. Marshall is very understanding he knows where I was coming from and he felt my pain. The staff treated me like family. The first person to greet you is Lilly with a smile and helps with any questions you might have, Kalen a staff member and a physical trainer is their by your side step by step. I call them the three wise men again Dr. Marshall keeps it real with me, that's what I wanted honestly, by my side during my journey on recovery. I have David an awesome person has great group zoom meetings. Charles keeps it real also honest and humble, very understanding. I recommend this place to everyone and everybody who wants to change their lives and recover from any addiction. They will give you hope and become a better person. DEDICATO save me! Just celebrated 8 years sobriety! This place saved my life. They are very well organized and understand treatment and recovery. I wasn't necessarily very open-minded in the beginning but I'm so glad I didn't quit and leave not everybody stays sober and I understand that and this place doesn't guarantee anything however it is a beginning and for me it was pivotal. Every day is a new day to embrace change. I learned that from MFI. I am forever grateful! Stay connected to the people in recovery and more importantly be available and responsible for people that need the help and you can keep your recovery. Miss Dove is a great counselor ... Staff is professional, experienced and well skilled! Saved my life!!!

Pros: Caring Staff, Balanced Groups, Decent Food as far as rehabs go. Visits are allowed on weekends after 7 days. Cons: Occasionally some clients that need special mental needs met slip in the cracks and it is difficult to replace them where they need to be. It seems like corporate has the budget in too high of a chokehold, I can't imagine 50+ men at a rehab do not facilitate a higher budget than what is currently allocated. Clients shouldn't be able to feel this. If you are not keen on a lot of men around you, consider other options with smaller populations. If you are heading here without a choice, talk to your counselor about any accommodations. If you are looking to get sober, this is a place that runs a dog through the facility and tries to take measures to better facilitate it to those that want to make a serious change for their lives. If you have derailed your life and hit rock bottom, got felonies, or you just got out of prison and have conditions, this is definitely a good spot to put your life back on track. If you are going to rehab for the right reasons, you will not have an issue with 90% of the staff. Most treatment options felt like just like they were farming us for the money, this was NOT one of those facilities. Even if you don't know where you are, give this a shot. I'm glad I did!

I was with them for 2 years and they are really awesome. DR.RUTH is a very caring person and understands what your going through and wants to help you. As for the team Once you get to know the girls in the front they are so cool and very helpful. I had 3 counselors my first counselor I did have a problem with, but I got transfer to another counselor which was the supervisor and she was one of the best ones I had and Mike he is another counselor that is awesome. Kim is another supervisor for the front office and she is amazing. I am very happy to get to know everyone there.

I enjoyed working there and will always have a special place in my heart for all the patients and staff.

I was spirituality and physically bankrupt when I arrived at His House on 9th st as alone as they come. WITH LOVE they fed me and clothed me. A WARM bed and safety were the beginnings of my journey. TODAY i have a life beyond my wildest dreams. November 5, 2019 is the day His House Showed me the way out. FOREVER GRATEFUL.!!!

2024 was a transformative year for me, and a big part of that was due to my time at A Peace of Mind. As a first-time resident in a sober living environment, I didn’t know what to expect, but from the moment I walked through the doors, I felt welcomed, supported, and understood. The house provided a safe and structured environment that was crucial for my recovery. The staff were compassionate, knowledgeable, and always available to offer guidance. They truly cared about my progress and went above and beyond to ensure I had the tools and resources I needed to succeed. What I loved most was the sense of community. The other residents became like family to me, and we supported each other through every step of our journeys. The group meetings, activities, and shared experiences helped me build strong, lasting connections that I know will continue long after leaving the house. This sober living house didn’t just give me a place to stay; it gave me a fresh start, hope for the future, and the strength to continue on my path to sobriety. My bed was right next to the ice cold AC and I would sleep like a baby! I always wanted to be home. I love the Old Victorian look and feel. I can’t thank the team enough for everything they’ve done for me. If you or a loved one are seeking a supportive, uplifting, and empowering environment for recovery, I highly recommend A Peace of Mind.
