I'm so thankful for the team at NMW. I came from out of state after seeing a friend of mine get clean here. I'm now 6 months sober and I'm back to loving myself and life. Juanita and the intake staff make the process with the insurance companies and arrival seamless so you can focus purely on recovery. The staff, main facility, housing, programs and activities are top class. I really couldn't say better things about their program. I wish I would have made it years ago. At the time in my life when I needed a place for healing this name came up immediately! At that time I thought it was too good to be true. I had never been to a treatment center before and did not know what to expect. If that is you, just know that it is real and absolutely amazing! They have someone on staff in particular who is truly an angel. Don’t get me wrong all of the staff are incredible but, this one lady, Juanita practically saved my life. From the initial calls to get me there to being in touch with me at each airport that I had to transfer from, Juanita showed me how much she cared about me. In saying this please keep in mind she did not know me from Adam. She simply knew I was broken and needed help. She will forever be my guardian angel! The facility itself is beautiful. The location is great. The therapy is second to none in my honest opinion. I learned so much about me and what broke me. I wholeheartedly recommend NMW to anyone that needs recovery including mental health and or addiction. They will see YOU the individual. I truly believe in my heart that they are not in it for the money. I recently spent 30 days at Alter Health in Dana Point, and I can’t speak highly enough of the experience. From the moment I arrived, I felt safe, supported, and surrounded by compassion. The facility itself is absolutely beautiful — serene, clean, and designed for healing.
With a small group of only six clients, there was a strong sense of community, and I received plenty of personalized attention. The staff-to-client ratio is excellent, and I was able to have frequent one-on-one therapy sessions, along with support whenever I needed it. The therapists and staff truly went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, cared for, and progressing in our healing journeys.
The food was also a highlight — healthy, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared. Every detail of the program felt intentional and supportive.
I can honestly say my time at Alter Health was life-altering. I left with tools, insights, and a renewed sense of peace. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to heal in a truly nurturing environment.

Yeah they have a few things that could use VA some adjusting but overall the programming was very effective they not only focused on the addition part of my disease they were able to get to the core of why I had used drugs for so long and helped me to process the issues an learn solid solutions and coping mechanisms for when I get the urge to relapse or when I get an anxiety attack!! Plus I got connected with the most beautiful souls in the world who are just like me with the same mindset!! As someone who was very hesitant to try an impatient program, I couldn’t be happier that I found this gem. Everything from the admissions coordinator (Kim), to the private driver from airport (Todd), to my intake at the house (Hans, Reif, Edith, Josh), to the private chef (Danielle), to the supervisor (Sam), to the case managers and therapists (Robert, Ligi, Jess), everyone made absolute sure that this seemingly scary experience was far from just that.
The care/medication management was on point. The private chef cooked some of the testiest meals I have ever consumed. The views of the pacific were absolutely incredible. I used the onsite home gym and hot tub daily. They even had onsite accupuncture and yoga. The group therapy content and material was life changing and foundational in my recovery journey. Each of the 6 bedrooms in the house has a unique vibe and special touch. I was so thankful to have access to my laptop as a working professional, and my phone to stay in touch with friends and family. We even had outings to go shopping, walk the harbor and pier, massages, kayaking, and whale watching. Chapters Capistrano saved my life and will never be forgotten.

Passages changed my life. It is not easy - in fact it’s really, really hard. If you’re committed to doing it the right way - you are going to wind up dealing with a lot of painful issues and hurts - and all without your substance of choice to numb the pain. But - you will be supported every step of the way. The staff is WONDERFUL and so genuinely happy for the progress you make. The other clients become your closest friends and there is nothing you can say there that will shock anyone. There is zero judgment, just support and kindness and encouragement. Even post discharge they have weekly in person and online alumni groups which are fantastic and the facilitators of those groups genuinely care. Other than becoming a mom, Passages is the best thing that ever happened to me. I’m forever grateful.

I have been in and out of rehab for years. I never thought I would recover, thankfully because of Serenity Lodge I can say that I am clean today. I never go around writing reviews, but you guys saved my life. All around from the people who you get to speak to that do your intake to the staff at the facility I was welcomed with open arms and taken care of from the start. Walking into my bedroom I felt at home for the first time in years, I have never laid my head in such a beautiful place, I had a room to myself, a spacious bathroom and a place to put my clothes away. I will end my review on this; most rehabs can be a little run down but not this place. The photos on their website do not this place justice. From the outdoor area to the indoor area everything is amazing and even without all of that the program itself that Serenity lodge offers saves lives!

I’m at a crossroad in my life where I finally acknowledged I needed professional help for my drinking. I called the 1st number I googled. It landed me with Profound. I just finished my 30 days in California at one of their incredible homes located in one of the most prestigious areas in Los Angeles. The home was nothing short of amazing. The staff was top notch and all have been in my shoes. They were very easy to talk to, and the environment was comfortable and accommodating. I was not anticipating going to another State for treatment. They covered my flight there and back. After finishing my 30 days, I now feel equipped with what I need to stay sober for my family and myself. Thank you Profound for giving me sobriety and a new outlook on life.

The staff here are great, and have actually been in the shoes of the people they help. The rehab is very thorough and they put a lot of effort into helping clients find themselves again. The IOP they own also helped me a lot and was great because of the social aspect of it and the facilitators. The sober living itself was great, I had some troubles with people stealing my food, which were eventually kicked out.
