This place saved my life. When I was at my worst and my absolute rock bottom- Pemarro was there to help my family to get me into detox. I had never been to treatment before and was very scared and did not know what to expect but the staff at Pemarro made the experience so comforting. If it wasn't for their help, nurturing and guidance I wouldn't be where I am today. I have 10 months sober today- and the first day I stepped foot in there has been my sobriety date and has not changed. Groups, food, activities and it's peaceful nature surroundings is perfect to escape from the craziness that addiction and alcoholism throws at us. It is a perfect place to relax and self reflect. Not to mention, they have a house dog there named Parker- who will become your cuddle buddy and walk around outside with you. Carlin, Jen and scott taught me so much and helped guide me through the whole process. I am forever thankful for Pemarro! You will not be dissapointed if this is where you begin your new happy, free and joyous life!

Great staff and invaluable lessons for recovery, relationships, personal development, self esteem and parenting classes. 👏 Been here twice, with a break in between, but so glad to come back and be welcomed with open arms and without judgment as a person, an addict and a first time mother going through the many challenges that come with that and other traumatic life events. Thanks so much! If you are in doubt, try it, if you want to improve your life perspective, try it, if you left and still want a helping community, try to come back and give it another shot. Nobody ever thought they would see me sober, but today I can say I am, thanks to Sober Life. I was a frequent relapser, just barely making it by, and when I decided to seek treatment through Sober Life a whole new world opened for me. The team at Sober Life cares. I felt valued, I felt empowered, understood and heard. After being in and out of so many treatment centers I found myself fatigued, but through my process with Sober Life I actually wanted to continue my program as long as I could. I WANTED to be there and I've learned a life I never knew possible thanks to the team there. I can say that this program likely saved my life, and showed me a new life that I could never have imagined. The support and understanding was beyond belief. I felt so safe there. I've made friendships with a lot of my peers from groups as well. Which I never wanted to do before. Recovery can be difficult to begin, scary to start, but Sober Life feels SAFE. Sober life has been one of the best experiences in my life! I came in not really sure what I wanted out of treatment and scared to really connect with people and have them see me in my weaker moments. All of the staff at sober life loved me through these issues and helped me get to a place where I felt safe and comfortable enough to communicate what was really going on with me, and gave me the tools I needed to be able to deal with things as they came up on a daily basis. Anytime I was a little off or lost any amount of momentum, they noticed immediately and did whatever they could to make sure I continued my progress and that even though addiction is a lonely disease, it became a lot easier to believe I wasnt alone and recovery is possible. It wasn't complicated at all, they handle the insurance stuff for you so you can focus and prioritize your recovery over anything else. Kimberly, Dan, Ashley, and Kelley have all been huge grounding stones in my recovery, showing up every time and helping me make solutions out of chaos. Having all of these amazing, kind, and extremely dependable people in my life has kept me steady and also taught me what having people around who genuinely love you, want the best for you, and who celebrate your achievements and help you through your downfalls looks like. Like any recovery program, you have to want it and put in your own effort, but they make the weight just lighter enough that it seems much more attainable.

Even though I’ve never been a client myself, I’ve had the privilege of working with their team for nearly 10 years—and I can confidently say they operate with a level of integrity, compassion, and professionalism that is rare in the rehab industry.
Ranch Creek Recovery is truly different. Their inpatient program is set in a private, luxury estate that provides a peaceful, dignified environment for healing. Other treatment centers claim to be luxury and cram dozens of people into a small home. The inpatient facility feels more like a resort or retreat than a clinical facility, which makes an incredible difference for clients who are going through the toughest periods of their lives.
What really sets them apart is their staff. This is a family owned and operated treatment center, and you feel that from the first interaction—warmth, genuine care, and a commitment to doing what’s right, not what’s profitable. Their small client-to-staff ratios mean every person receives personal attention, individualized treatment, and a level of support that larger, corporate-style rehabs simply can’t match.
In an industry where far too many centers focus on maximizing revenue, Ranch Creek Recovery stands out for doing the opposite: prioritizing people. I can say with complete confidence that they treat every client with dignity, compassion, and honesty. They are the definition of a high-quality, luxury, ethical drug & alcohol treatment center, and I’d recommend them without hesitation to anyone seeking real help.

I desperately needed to get sober & doing it on my own wasn’t working. I had no idea what to expect from this place. From my very first phone call, to the day I was discharged, the staff, nurses, techs & counselors were absolutely amazing & incredibly friendly & compassionate. The women I met and lived with at Fisher Hall surrounded me with nothing but love and support & for the first time, I didn’t feel alone in my disease. The property was beautiful, the food was good & I loved cruising the book store. The psychiatrist, Young, however, was the only disappointing part of my 28 day stay. His comment, “…in 20 years, if you live that long,” was hurtful, especially for someone so vulnerable & new to rehab and sobriety. He also made other upsetting comments to other women in my hall, but that is not my story to tell. Other than that, my stay was amazing & it gave me the tools I desperately needed. Thank you, Hazeldon Betty Ford!

Overall I had an excellent experience at BF - the only negative comment I could make was the atmosphere in detox- I found the the environment to be dark and depressing, the rooms smelly and a rare and occasion condescending staff member - the minute I walked into DuPont Hall everything changed- I was fortunate to be surrounded by an incredibly supportive and communicative group of patients - I felt very fortunate to have been assigned Bryan Wilmoth as my counselor- he is exceptional at what he does - the small group gatherings were the highlight of my time here at BF - Bryan provides a safe environment that allows people to open up and express themselves in a non judgmental way - he provides levity when necessary and the written exercises were enlighten and productive- I can’t say enough good things about Bryan - last thing - the food was inconsistent and could certainly be better in my opinion - thx for the opportunity to review my experience at the BFC

I fortunately haven't gone inpatient since I was 5 months post partum and the death of my mother in the same two month period in 2016. There were several years while I lived in San Diego, where I was at Mesa Vista almost monthly. I live in Pennsylvania now, and my mental health is really going down here. I'm considering flying to San Diego for inpatient care. I'm trying to hold on until after the holidays.. I'm just barely holding it together so my husband who works in the airline industry doesn't get fired for needing to take off during the worst time of the year (the holidays) to care for our young children. I really hope I can for the sake of my family. I would never go inpatient out here! Sharp Mesa Vista is bar none the BEST inpatient psychiatric hospital I've been in and I'm 51, first hospitalized at age 13! That's a LONG time to have experienced. I'm sure half of the nurses have retired. And probably no hospital allows vaping..but if I have to go through nicotine withdrawal for my mental health, I will. I really am not understanding why all psychiatric hospitals are on this no vaping/cigarette kick..we have enough going on! This isn't towards this hospital..but it is about the system. It's really just to have this appearance of health...when it's really more of being control freaks and that's a shame. I'm sure there's a lot of people who just won't even consider help for this one reason. I think it's ridiculous. It's not prison, the mentally ill are not criminals (usually)!

Life-Changing Experience at Pacific Bay Recovery Center
As a mom, choosing a rehab for my son was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make. After researching countless facilities in San Diego, we decided on Pacific Bay Recovery Center, and I can confidently say it was the best decision we ever made.
Pacific Bay didn’t just help my son recover—they saved his life. From the very beginning, they treated him like family. The care and compassion from every staff member, from the therapist and psychiatrist to the case managers, were unparalleled. They didn’t just see my son as another patient; they truly invested in his well-being and future.
The individualized attention he received made all the difference. The therapists were deeply insightful, helping him understand and address the root causes of his struggles. The psychiatrist provided thoughtful, expert guidance, and the case managers were a source of constant support, ensuring he stayed on track every step of the way.
Beyond the clinical care, the atmosphere at Pacific Bay is warm and welcoming—a safe haven for anyone seeking to rebuild their life. They created a nurturing environment where my son felt seen, heard, and valued.
Today, my son is thriving, and it’s all thanks to the dedicated team at Pacific Bay. I am forever grateful to them for giving me my son back and helping him rediscover hope, purpose, and joy. If you’re looking for a place that goes above and beyond to treat your loved one with the care they deserve, I cannot recommend Pacific Bay Recovery Center highly enough.

San Diego, CA | La Jolla Recovery, located in La Jolla, California, is a luxury alcohol and drug rehab center that provides detoxification, residential, and intensive outpatient levels of care to adults 18 and older. They provide gender-specific services, are LGBTQ-friendly, and allow pets under certain conditions. The detox program uses evidence-based treatment | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I just wrapped up my stay at La Jolla Recovery, and there’s something I need to say straight up: this place didn’t just help me get sober — it woke something up in me. And that’s because of the people here. Shane, Sisqo, Matt, James, Blake, Derek, Miranda, Valerie, Veronica, and Lacy… you all changed my life in ways I’ll be carrying forever. Still wearing the only shoes I have that Francisco gave me lol
James — you played that TEDx video for me on one of the days I was at my lowest, and something in it cracked me open. It lit a fire. It reminded me that my story mattered, and it pushed me to finally finish my book. You’ll never know what that did for me. You gave me back something I thought I had lost.
Matt — you sat me down and showed me that AA Hallmark-style movie, but it wasn’t the movie that got me. It was the way you saw me. The way you believed I could get through the mess and come out the other side. You made healing feel possible again.
And Valerie… Miranda… Lacy… you three were mom to me through every emotional swing, every breakdown, every moment I questioned myself. I don’t have words big enough for the love you showed me. You didn’t treat me like a client — you treated me like someone worth nurturing. Someone worth protecting. I love you dearly for that.
Everyone here brings something different but needed: Shane’s grounded leadership, Sisqo’s energy, Veronica’s steady kindness. La Jolla Recovery doesn’t operate like a typical rehab — it feels like a safe landing. It feels like a place that believes in people before they believe in themselves.
I left with more than sobriety. I left with direction, confidence, and a sense of belonging I’d been missing for years. I fully expect La Jolla Recovery to become something massive — you can feel the foundation is built on real love, intention, and truth.
Thank you, all of you. Keep fighting for the addict who still suffers. You helped me remember who I am — and I’m grateful beyond words.

Bella monte is simply the best and I mean the best rehab I’ve ever attended. My 6th one. From the great staff (people just like me and you, addicts), from the different foods they provide. 3 hot meals a day. And u can make ur own food and munch thru out the day. To the rooms. Amazing clean private so comfy beds. Pillows suck tho. Ain’t gonna lie. It’s literally a 5 start resort rehab. The peace and tranquility it gives your mind is exactly what u need and crave for in the time after drug abuse. Every staff member that was there in the month of April 2025 will forever be In my heart! There part of my recovery and the reason I am sober today still . I love you guys and gals. Thank you for listening to me with open hearts and non judgmental eyes. Groups were exactly what I needed . It’s small groups but I love it . I got better one on ones. And I talked all my problems out . THIS IS REALLY THE PLACE WHERE YOUR LIFE BEGINS TO CHANGE . Thank you staff! Wish I could bug u guys once more. But not as a client. But as a friend . As a brother . Your best alumni JULIAN TAPIA !!!!!

San Diego, CA | Harmony Grove Recovery offers detox and addiction treatment services in San Diego, California. They have a goal to operate equivalent to a hospital. Tricare insurance is accepted. Emotional support and personalized | Programs Payment Options | When I was looking for IOP drug rehabs San Diego, HGR always seemed to be coming up. After carefully examining their addiction treatment centers website, I decided to give them a call. I was surprised that their CEO answered the phone. Nora Jenkins carefully answered all my questions on how their intensive outpatient program worked. I didn't realize that I needed to go through alcohol detoxification first. Their alcohol detox centers San Diego option accepts most health insurances and they accepted mine which was AETNA, This outpatient substance abuse rehabilitation program allowed me to continue working and get the help I needed. I have been alcohol and drug free for 67 days thank to HGR Drug rehabs San Diego. Thank you, Nora and your caring staff.

This alcohol detox San Diego substance abuse rehabilitation center saved my life. It was unlike the other California drug and alcohol addiction treatment centers that I attended prior. Their medical doctors provided me with a detailed treatment plan. This plan started at their alcohol detox centers San Diego then put me into their inpatient drug rehabs San Diego program. This is where their treatment process differed. They performed a dual diagnosis. This got to the root of my addiction. I had several co-occurring disorders that were left untreated by other addiction treatment centers. While in the residential inpatient program I had one on one meetings with their credentialed substance abuse counselors. These sessions were difficult but helped me address my addiction problems head on. I have been clean for 6 months and finally am getting my life back. Thank you, Harmony Grove Recovery.

Harmony Grove Recovery is the best alcohol rehab in San Diego hands down. Their alcohol detox San Diego program is medically supervised. They gave me medication assisted treatment that not only reduced the painful withdrawal that I usually experience, but they almost eliminated it. They were my first choice because I saw that they accepted most health insurances. The alcohol detox lasted 8 days. After completing that, I went to their residential inpatient drug rehabs San Diego program. I highly recommend this California drug and alcohol addiction treatment center.

The residential program offers 24/7 supervisio | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I went to SBT a little over two years ago now on march 7th 2023, I was beat down and close to giving up due to my alcoholism and drug addiction. I had been through treatment twice before and didn’t think anything was going to change but I was willing to try. I was placed in a nice house with very knowledgeable and relatable staff members that helped guide me in my early days of detoxification. They kept me hopeful for a better life even though I felt like mine was over. The program they run is smooth and effective, they kept a close eye on me and made sure my needs were met. I can’t say enough good things about the program, my uncle passed away while I was in detox and on black out protocol and they still let me make a phone call to my family because they knew how much it would mean to me. Also had it not been for a counselor named Rachael, I’m not sure I would be sober to this day. She helped me navigate the best course of action to remain in sobriety by showing me all the resources and places I could go for after care both in my home state of WV and other options closer to their program as well. Had I not been made aware of the fact that I could go to boardwalk recovery after SBT I don’t think I would have made it as far as I have now. Thank you so much for helping me get my life back, you all are amazing people!

Many commercial health insurance providers are accepted. F | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I arrived at the Betty Ford Center with much trepidation.

Encinitas, CA | AToN Center is an addiction rehabilitation facility for adults aged 18 or older in Encinitas, California. They provide substance use programs that are tailored to an individual’s specific needs. Their services are a combination of group activities, medication regimens, and mental health support. Clients will participate in five individual therapy | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I can’t say enough good about AToN! Between the professional and knowledgeable staff, the outstanding holistic team, gourmet food and beautiful accommodations and surroundings, one in recovery could not ask for a better treatment center. I have been struggling with alcohol abuse for 40 years, in and out of rehab, IOPs and meetings. The behavioral modification approach and education along with holistic treatments is just incredible. Truly mind, body and soul approach. I finally saw a light at the end of a long dark tunnel that I never saw before. I cannot recommend AToN highly enough. You are cared for and treated with dignity and respect. Unlike any other place I have been you receive individual one on one counseling sessions 5 days a week. I immediately felt comfortable sharing my story because there is always heart, vulnerability and safety in every session, whether it be group or one on one.
I would like to thank everyone involved in my treatment for setting the stage for my future success!
If you are searching for a treatment center, search no further, hands down this is the place.

Aton is a beautiful and welcoming place for anyone seeking recovery. The environment is peaceful, comfortable, and doesn’t feel cold or clinical. You can tell there’s a lot of care and intention put into helping people feel respected and supported while they focus on their recovery. Choosing treatment is never easy, but this is a place where many people can feel confident they made the right decision!

Aton is a really special place. It’s a beautiful facility, but what stands out most is the atmosphere. When you walk in, it feels calm, welcoming, and far less clinical than you would expect from a treatment center. There’s a lot of intention behind making it feel comfortable and safe, which matters a lot for people going through a difficult and vulnerable time.
The team at Aton genuinely cares. The support, patience, and compassion shown toward clients is something that’s consistently noticeable. Choosing to go to treatment is rarely an easy decision, and it can come with a lot of fear and uncertainty. Being around the process and seeing people settle in and begin their recovery really shows how important the right environment and support system can be. Taking that first step is hard, but it’s often the step people are most grateful they took.

Been there twice and it took traction during round two back on New Year’s Day 2021. Recovery and Rehab you can get whatever you want. Their curriculum at the Ranch is successful just like at different recovery treatment centers. So surrender and go with their program, or you can’t do anything and figure you “got this” or maybe do shady things even there. Your choice, surrender and take it in and try something new, or loiter with intent and see how it works out for you. First tried AA on 12-01-2007 but never surrendered ( figuring I got this) but when I gave up, surrendered, and wanted it no matter what, I finally got sober, do the math on my sobriety and waisted 13 years trying to do it my way. So in AA, or, NA you can do or get everything you want. I want to be sober and nothing else. I surrendered 100% 01-01-21. Thanks Mike and the rest of team and family from the Ranch for saving me.
