From the moment she was enrolled, I felt a warmth and understanding that was immediately comforting. Expert and Caring Staff: The team at Discovery Center is exceptional. The therapists and counselors are not only highly qualified but also incredibly empathetic. They tailor the program to fit individual needs, ensuring that everyone feels seen and heard. Their dedication to each participant's journey is evident in every interaction. My daughter spent so much time there, it was inevitable that she would make friendships and relationships even above and beyond the patient-therapist roles. My daughter would come home many times with stories about the staff members that went above and beyond their duties and would show how much they genuinely care about her and other clients. Community and Support: The sense of community within this program is something special. Group sessions were designed to be safe spaces where sharing was encouraged, but never forced. She made connections and the peer support was invaluable. Knowing she was not alone in her struggles changed everything. I attended an inpatient treatment before in another program named axis and another treatment at some place called LACADA and none of them worked for me. It felt like nobody cared until I came across my current counselor Keith Miller. He gets as invested in your recovery as if it were his own! He helps you dissect recovery and addiction and relapses and withdrawals and everything that comes with it so you can see it and understand it in ways you never did before. He made it so interesting that I became addicted to finding out more about my recovery I became obsessed with feeding my brain with all this knowledge and how to take on life and address all my triggers to prevent relapses and just overall can sit here and write a whole essay but sometimes I feel like he’s inspired me to want to be a counselor myself because he got to me when nobody else was able to even after many have tried! if you want to change your life and enjoy it while doing so then this is the place to come!! From the moment I arrived, everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, professional, and respectful. The staff made me feel comfortable and cared for during a time when I wasn’t feeling my best. One of the things I appreciated most was how attentive everyone was. The nurses and staff checked on me frequently and always made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. Whenever I was experiencing pain, they listened to me, took my concerns seriously, and made sure I received the appropriate medication without making me feel like I was being difficult or asking for too much. That level of understanding and compassion made a huge difference in my experience. I also really appreciated how respectfully I was treated throughout my entire stay. Everyone I interacted with was patient, helpful, and willing to answer questions. I never felt ignored or forgotten about. Even when the staff was busy, I still felt like my health, comfort, and well-being were important to them. Being in the hospital can be stressful and uncomfortable, but having such caring and compassionate people around made the experience so much easier. Speaking of which, each member of the staff always made me feel welcome, cared for, and that they were motivated to make my stay as comfortable and productive as possible.
