I was a patient at Three Rivers Indian Lodge. I am now a contributing member of society and have multiple years of sobriety for which I directly credit both the program and staff at the facility. During my stay, I felt like I was in a safe environment and that those who worked there sincerely cared for me and my wellbeing. The classes offered were very insightful and allowed me to understand why I had made certain choices and how to make better ones in the future. The meals provided were excellent and most akin to home cooking while the accommodations were comfortable and clean. Most worthwhile things in life do not come without struggle and recovery is no exception but I consider myself very fortunate to have began my journey of healing at Three Rivers Lodge.

Great sober living home and great environment. Only have to follow a few simple rules and respect others in the house. I attend five in-house meetings per week, and three outside meetings per week. The house managers are fair and reasonable. I have to submit to drug testing upon demand, and the house managers enforce the rules to retain the Integrity of the house. Madison House is the best overall sober living home i have experienced; and i have experienced several due to my alcoholism and addiction. I've been here 8 months and the program promotes recovery and personal growth and all I have to do is follow a few simple rules which include going to outside meetings as well as in-house meetings, being respectful of others,drug testing upon request, and doing my assigned chore. Pretty simple. The 2 house parents are fair, supportive, and they do enforce the rules to retain the integrity of the house. We have a lot of unity and cameraderie, which makes it a great environment !

Meditation/awareness is not pointed at here it seems, most the mental illness/drug addiction, etc if not all comes from "Ego" or materialist/physycalist conditioning most of the world suffers from.
The psychiatric medications don't help much instead look into various "non-duality" meditation pointers, psychdelics and evidence based therapy but please do your research. It is work and nobody is here to do your work but you. Recommend a book "Loving What Is" by Byron Katie but there are many pointers as there are grains of sands in the universe,

Went here for the first time today. My experience there was good, better than what i imagined. The reviews kinda made it sound like an unwelcoming place but I believe trying to get help than no help is better than nothing, and I was happily surprised by how considerate they were and straight to the point it was, got there 10 minutes early, they gave me a fillout sheet that could be filled out in all languages, then after i did everything, progress was made very fast, got my next appointment and I'm excited to see that I'm making progress and they're making progress with me. I'll keep you updated if it gets worse or better for sure. But now, that's all I think 🤔. I came to Alta Mira for dual diagnosis treatment, including my eating disorder, and it helped me more than I can possibly express. The therapy here is incredible - multiple sessions a week plus so much additional support because the staff is so in tune and genuinely caring. They also have weekly massages included in your stay! I worked with Kellie as my therapist, and she completely changed my life. Jeff runs the best DBT groups ever, and Karen and Drea are phenomenal too. The entire therapist team is amazing.
Management is wonderful - friendly, involved, and truly dedicated to every client. The RAs are absolute rockstars: Zach, Ben, Tristan, Sam, Adam, Trace, and David. They are all so kind, supportive, and professional. Ben and Tristan are amazing leads, and honestly, Zach and Adam should be too!
The food deserves its own review - the chef is incredible and the meals alone helped me overcome under eating. There’s a salad bar, an amazing breakfast buffet, and everything is fresh and delicious. I tried another facility that served Costco ready meals and I was starving - but at Alta Mira, every meal felt nourishing and made with care. I loved that they have lots of healthy snacks offered throughout the day at there is amazing coffee offered too. They even have lots of teas and matcha! On Fridays we get the best cookies ever and each client gets a going away dessert for their last night. Mine was the chocolate strawberries and cookies pictured below.
The personal trainer, Tanya, and the yoga teacher are both fabulous. The workshops are genuinely life changing. Housekeeping is amazing too - every part of this place runs with care and respect.
The rooms are huge, beautiful, and comfortable, and the clients are great people too. Dr. Driscoll (aka Dr. Py) is the best doctor ever. She is compassionate, attentive, and brilliant. I also appreciated that staff took me to outside appointments when I needed them.
Even when I (or others!) had our “diva moments,” the staff always treated us with patience, kindness, and respect. They really listen and hear you out.
Alta Mira is meant to be a 90-day program, and my friend who’s doing the full 90 is getting brain scans, cheek swab testing, and neuropsych testing - so if you can, do the full program. You’ll get the most out of it.
I could not recommend Alta Mira highly enough. It was the best decision I ever made, and I’m eternally grateful for everyone there for helping me heal, grow, and truly find myself again.

Alta Mira was an exceptional experience in 2020 and I recently celebrated 4 years of sobriety. The therapist I had in the program set me on a wonderful path to a better future. Today is my "clean date" and as of TODAY I have 1 year clean and sober. This Facility saved my life! I've made several attempts at sobriety before stepping into New Dawn, but none of them approached the disease of addiction like New Dawn. They have such a different approach at treating addiction. Reiki, massage therapy, equine therapy, ECT. The staff is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Extremely knowledgeable, and helpful. These people truly are there to help people. If you're considering getting sober New Dawn is, in my opinion, the best treatment center in the state of California. Possibly the country.

This is hands down the best staff we are so fortunate to have all these wonderful staff members to help you continue with ur journey to recovery I know they got new supervisor and it seems like since they did its gotten so much better I've been sober since Oct 27 2021 and this clinic has a loving personal intimate feel to it the others do not I will continue to only use this clinic to continue my. I have been coming here for years. This place saved my life. I was lucky for so long to have an amazing counselor with Corinna until she left. Still miss her! Then I got to be with Monica for a while until she ended up leaving. Miss her too! And now I am with Juanita and she is also awesome! I have been very lucky with the counselors I have had. Juanita inspires and encourages me every time I talk to her! I am very lucky to have her as my counselor! Although I hope to safely be off eventually I am grateful to this clinic for everything they have done. The employees here have always been kind to me and helpful.

I have struggled with addiction my entire adult like and in the course of those 40 years I have been to other programs and clinics and BARRT Cartwright was noticeably different from my first encounter. They were welcoming and respectful with no judgement and truly listened to what I had to say. The onsite manager, nurses, counselors and receptionist all get a 5-star rating!!

Today is my "clean date" and as of TODAY I have 1 year clean and sober. This Facility saved my life! I've made several attempts at sobriety before stepping into New Dawn, but none of them approached the disease of addiction like New Dawn. They have such a different approach at treating addiction. Reiki, massage therapy, equine therapy, ECT. The staff is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Extremely knowledgeable, and helpful. These people truly are there to help people. If you're considering getting sober New Dawn is, in my opinion, the best treatment center in the state of California. Possibly the country.

A loved one was a patient at 3 rivers, after 30 days I had picked him up, he was covered in bedbug bites and nearly malnourished. They prepared their own meals with minimal food, they had no good or healthy food, lunches were peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, sometimes no peanut butter and sometimes no jelly, few times no bread, they had pallets in the yard with donated canned food most without labels all rusted and covered in dirt. The rehab allowed outsiders to come in and do weekly sweats, but with those visitors came drugs ( I personally witnessed this) the patients had to do all of the maintenance in and around the facility. This place needs to be monitored by the state and closed if the state cannot control it. The manager onsite was shooting heroin in the restroom. Definitely not a good place for vulnerable people seeking help.

The staff worked collaboraty together to help me and to help my needs. I can honestly say that this place has saved my life. the reason for four stars, not five is because the treatment they give here wasn't structured enough for me, i was only there for a week or two back in like 2023?i think? idk lol. and it was just too fast paced and kinda jump at the issue typa treatment. it was honestly amazing and im sorry i ran away what 3 times? the food, the freedom, the field trips, ugh it was amazing. i did end up getting help at a locked down facility but yeah, if i weren't as mentally ill as i was id totally come back

As someone who got out of Paradigm a month ago. I think that it is a great place, yeah no treatment center is going to be fun, but if you were to send your child to any place. Send them to Paradigm. I love all the staff, the schedule is great. Unlike other places, Paradigm allows you to express yourself freely. You can wear whatever you like, say whatever you like. And they really try to make the place enjoyable for every client there, as much as they can. Obviously it is not a perfect place, no treatment center in my opinion is. But I really did improve in Paradigm, I had great family therapy, improved my relationship with my father. I had a great one on one therapist, and I made a lot of friends- not only with clients but also with staff. I could freely be myself, and no one judged me because we were all in the same boat. Not only that, the rooms are comfortable, the chef has a cute dog, the food is good, and the outings are so fun. Once again, if you are going to send your kid to a treatment center, send them to Paradigm.

This place is amazing. I went for behavioral health and every part of the experience, from the front desk offering coffee, to the intake coordinator, to the therapist that helped me during one of the lowest times of my life, was beyond anything I would have ever expected from a non-profit for low income folks.
