The resident pshychatist has changed four times since then. Dr. Barnes first, then Dr. Seghal, then Dr. Manuel, and now Dr. Carillo. (If history is any guide, Dr. Carillo will eventually be succeeded by another doctor at some point.) All of the doctors were good in their own ways. Never had the slightest problem with any of them. I bonded most with Dr. Seghal because he was an intellectual, and I learn best when speaking to intellectuals. Dr. Carillo, for her part, is the most efficient and reliable of all her predecessors not to mention the most empathetic. She is second to none. You couldn't ask for a better doctor. Well, I suppose you could, but you wouldn't get one. Despite the many changeovers with the psychiatrists, the services have never changed: they are fantastic, and I highly recommend this clinic. Ridino 1 year ago This review is a little late I haven't been there in a few years So the psychiatrist I saw was good but I wasn't a huge fan of the therapist I saw but maybe she just wasn't the best therapist for me personally.idk also they were kinda hard to get a hold of for a while and the phone would just ring and ring for what felt like forever so I just kinda gave up trying so that was kinda on me too .this was back in like 2018 or 2019 for context so the people who worked there then might not even work there anymore. Everyone on staff was kind, patient and empathetic. We had a family member stay there and The Lakes changed her life and our lives for the better. They treated her like family and from the time she arrived to the time she was ready to come home... it was immediately apparent she was in much better health mentally, emotionally and physically. Not only did they provide her with help she sorely needed but they provide the tools needed to ensure success after as well with a more 'dual diagnostics' approach which I found VERY effective. Now with life after The Lakes, she made friends with other guests there and has established a great support group. The Lakes approach encourages guests to develop friendships that people can carry after they leave. I've seen other treatment centers and this is not your 'typical' treatment center. This one has a much more 'family' oriented approach that will help you on multiple levels. So THANK YOU to all the staff there... I feel like we got a new lease on life and we are super grateful for all your help. (Also... the food was excellent so kudos to the kitchen staff too) You just don't get that 'family vibe' anywhere else for a place like this and that's a key component to The Lakes success. Thanks to this amazing treatment center, I’ve been in recovery for over three years now. This location is absolutely beautiful and feels luxurious! I was a client at the Fair Oaks location, but at the time the Loomis location (this location) was co-ed, and we often got to come here for group sessions, acupuncture, nutrition classes, and even to swim in their beautiful pool. The staff was always extremely welcoming, compassionate, and knowledgeable. You could feel that they genuinely cared about us clients, our long-term recovery, and our experience while we were under their care, no matter which site we were at. The combination of individual therapy and counseling, group sessions, and experiential activities creates an environment where real change is possible while also allowing clients to enjoy the comfort and luxury of the facility, which makes being away from home a little easier. My first call to FORC was answered by Shayne and she took all the time I needed to ask questions, share my struggle, and really validate that I needed this help. She helped set my mind at ease that this was the right decision for me and my family. My first few days were emotional and a whirwind, but what an amazing staff (too many to name them all, they truly care for the clients) that helped me adjust and thrive. The other clients were also incredible and it really felt like family recovery. I'm so thankful for my time and experience at both FORC residential and IOP, it has given me tools I've never had before and a way to stay sober that I have not been able to achieve on my own. They are also a AA program that preaches spirituality. Spirituality can be a scary word/concept but take it from me a non religious person I live by my spirituality every day. It’s about a higher power not who or what the higher powers name is. If you want to be free from the demon and alcohol and know you will be supported you must attend FORC!! The counselors genuinely care about their clients and consistently go above and beyond to give you the support, guidance, tools, and encouragement you need to succeed. At the same time, they understand that they cannot do the work for you. They will meet you where you are, challenge you when you need it, and support you through difficult moments, but ultimately they teach you how to take accountability for your own recovery and your own life. The groups are thoughtful and well put together, and the structure of the program encourages you to really start looking inward. Like any program, there are rules and expectations (for good reason), but if you can follow them, stay focused on yourself instead of what other people are doing, and remain open to the process, there is so much to gain here. The staff will give you every opportunity and resource they can, but you have to be willing to meet them halfway. If you are serious about your recovery, willing to be honest with yourself, and are truly ready to put in the work, this program can truly help you change your life. The counselors will walk beside you every step of the way—but they can’t and won’t walk the steps for you. My mother and I just moved into Manteca 2 years ago and we're still finding our way, but the Three Rivers pow wow was awesome. Everything from the MC, to the hosts coming out which I want to do get a chance to meet but was unable to. And this year the mayor of Manteca came out which was really cool. I want to thank everybody including the people who were making their rounds and offering free watermelon. That was love and respect. Thank you guys for the awesome food the vendors to the dancers from the little ones to the older adults , and I made my way to the sweat lodge to admire. I didn't get to see it up close last year but I loved every bit of it. The Drs mostly are great, the only one that myself and 2 patients I spoke with, that could have a little better bedside manner is ...well let's just say that's why I gave it 4 stars. Everything is clean the manager, addresses your needs and counselors are great. You wouldn't know it was aegis if not for the sign.
