I've been going to this clinic since 2017 for psychiatric services. The resident pshychatist has changed four times since then. Dr. Barnes first, then Dr. Seghal, then Dr. Manuel, and now Dr. Carillo. (If history is any guide, Dr. Carillo will eventually be succeeded by another doctor at some point.) All of the doctors were good in their own ways. Never had the slightest problem with any of them. I bonded most with Dr. Seghal because he was an intellectual, and I learn best when speaking to intellectuals. Dr. Carillo, for her part, is the most efficient and reliable of all her predecessors not to mention the most empathetic. She is second to none. You couldn't ask for a better doctor. Well, I suppose you could, but you wouldn't get one. Despite the many changeovers with the psychiatrists, the services have never changed: they are fantastic, and I highly recommend this clinic.

This review is a little late I haven't been there in a few years So the psychiatrist I saw was good but I wasn't a huge fan of the therapist I saw but maybe she just wasn't the best therapist for me personally.idk also they were kinda hard to get a hold of for a while and the phone would just ring and ring for what felt like forever so I just kinda gave up trying so that was kinda on me too .this was back in like 2018 or 2019 for context so the people who worked there then might not even work there anymore.

I don't understand these reviews at all. Everyone that I've had the pleasure of interacting with - from reception staff to nurses to people passing by in the hall - has been kind and helpful. My therapist is a Godsend.

I am very grateful for The Lakes. Everyone on staff was kind, patient and empathetic. We had a family member stay there and The Lakes changed her life and our lives for the better. They treated her like family and from the time she arrived to the time she was ready to come home... it was immediately apparent she was in much better health mentally, emotionally and physically. Not only did they provide her with help she sorely needed but they provide the tools needed to ensure success after as well with a more 'dual diagnostics' approach which I found VERY effective.
Now with life after The Lakes, she made friends with other guests there and has established a great support group. The Lakes approach encourages guests to develop friendships that people can carry after they leave. I've seen other treatment centers and this is not your 'typical' treatment center. This one has a much more 'family' oriented approach that will help you on multiple levels.
So THANK YOU to all the staff there... I feel like we got a new lease on life and we are super grateful for all your help. (Also... the food was excellent so kudos to the kitchen staff too) You just don't get that 'family vibe' anywhere else for a place like this and that's a key component to The Lakes success.
UPDATE: one year later and she is still doing great... not just great but the happiest and most fulfilled I've ever seen her. The Lakes really works... I am SO grateful for them.

Med Mark changed my life! from the very moment i stepped foot in their facility i knew i was NOT going back. Every counselor i have had has been a part of my Sobreity recovery journey. I can ALWAYS call or show up when I need some guidance and just someone to listen to me, whether I am sharing my milestones and accomplishments or something that feels like a burden or pain I must cope with. I can’t begin to describe how grateful I am for New Dawn. They truly helped save my life. Thanks to this amazing treatment center, I’ve been in recovery for over three years now.
This location is absolutely beautiful and feels luxurious! I was a client at the Fair Oaks location, but at the time the Loomis location (this location) was co-ed, and we often got to come here for group sessions, acupuncture, nutrition classes, and even to swim in their beautiful pool. The staff was always extremely welcoming, compassionate, and knowledgeable. You could feel that they genuinely cared about us clients, our long-term recovery, and our experience while we were under their care, no matter which site we were at.
The combination of individual therapy and counseling, group sessions, and experiential activities creates an environment where real change is possible while also allowing clients to enjoy the comfort and luxury of the facility, which makes being away from home a little easier. I would 100% recommend New Dawn to anyone who wants to grow, heal, and rebuild their life.

From the first day that I walked into the facility, I was treated with compassion and kindness. I was not feeling great but the staff promised to take care of me and they did not disappoint. My counselor calls me on Wednesdays at 650am and that fine but that day I could not sleep at all so when I finally fell asleep I missed my call but I tried called back at 730 and no answer so I called the front desk they had someone call me and she talked to me for about 30 min and then said she had to go because she had another client but she never said I was going to be on stand by so I thought I was Good Friday comes around and I’m on stand by smh 🤦🏽♂️ but Friday I had an interview @1pm and I let them know I can reschedule and make it up but they did not care they had me wait till 1:30pm when my interview was at 1

July 21st I stepped out the hospital after almost dying June 19th 2026This place saved my life as soon as getting out the hospital from almost dying from my heroin use June 19th 2026 was the last time I used heroin. A great place to be hooked up with if you're battle with fentanyl, heroin, or any opioid has you pinned. The staff are kind, nice, and each has undoubtedly endured more years of opiod dependency than you. I am guessing of course, but they are pros.
Enrollment couldn't be easier and dosing happens the same day. Within a month, take-homes are a reality and you can taper if and when you wish. I wish I had known of this place sooner. Sooner, like when you're panicked trying to find a place because you're about to be sick and you're out of money. Just call them.
The counselors are there to help and do just that, they help. I wish I'd called ten years ago before I lost almost everything. Thanks Marcy, Charlie, Kaleen, Mikey, Shay, Jane and, and Kirk, and everyone who's been in my life to help. You guys rock.

I have been attending this clinic for many years now and I have had rough times....not only do they always treat everyone with respect and care regardless of who they are or what they look like or smell like 👍 honestly because I can say from experience I've been in line next to some ripe smelling stuff...I think it's from the carpet because that's the only thing I would change. The people and staff are loving ❤️ and caring and understanding. I always feel welcomed when I walk in the door and if you have problems with like just ask 😌 🙂 I promise they do everything possible to help others. Everyone has big hearts 💕 💞.

I was in the program for over 10 years. I broke my chains and the program worked. Once I was off I felt how I felt before ever taking medication. Its hard but worth it. Through god and nuropyschologic I got my self through it. I wake up thankful for no longer being dependent on medication. I wish I would of done it sooner but fear got the best of me which is why I needed jesus to carry me though it.

Mo was great to work with during the intake process. She was professional, easy to talk to, and made everything feel comfortable and smooth from the start. What really stood out is how she remembers everyone’s name when we show up to group in the mornings bc it makes the experience feel very personal and genuine. From the first day that I walked into the facility, I was treated with compassion and kindness. I was not feeling great but the staff promised to take care of me and they did not disappoint. My counselor calls me on Wednesdays at 650am and that fine but that day I could not sleep at all so when I finally fell asleep I missed my call but I tried called back at 730 and no answer so I called the front desk they had someone call me and she talked to me for about 30 min and then said she had to go because she had another client but she never said I was going to be on stand by so I thought I was Good Friday comes around and I’m on stand by smh 🤦🏽♂️ but Friday I had an interview @1pm and I let them know I can reschedule and make it up but they did not care they had me wait till 1:30pm when my interview was at 1

The diamond house was a life-changing experience for me. I came in at rock bottom my addiction to alcohol was a 10 and was taking over my life. I never wanted to do an impatient treatment center before I regret not doing it earlier in my life. I had a lot of anxiety of placing myself in an inpatient environment with the help of my family and friends. I completed a 90 day impatient treatment at the Diamond house and I am now over four months with zero cravings for alcohol with the help of. Daily therapy of meditation, and the things that I have learned throughout the program and daily prayer in my life, this is helped me really overcome some of my addiction or may I say most of my addiction it’s a continuous battle daily that I learn. I have to work on. I can’t thank the staff enough for all their support and all the individuals that came and gave their experiences that they went through with Alcoholism and their addictions and their journeys through their life you feel that youare not alone and you’re not the only one that is going through this I feel I’m getting stronger every day. The support staff will also help check on you. They have a wonderful staff such as Emily and the other counselors and front line staff from the time you get there until the time you leave I wanna think the cleaning staff the chefs and everyone that made my stay there a successful journey that I will continue to work on daily..

The process was very organized and the flu and COVID vaccine line moved swiftly. My nurse was friendly and informative as to the vaccines I was receiving. For the second year in a row, my mother and I attended the Three Rivers pow wow in Manteca California. My mother and I just moved into Manteca 2 years ago and we're still finding our way, but the Three Rivers pow wow was awesome. Everything from the MC, to the hosts coming out which I want to do get a chance to meet but was unable to. And this year the mayor of Manteca came out which was really cool. I want to thank everybody including the people who were making their rounds and offering free watermelon. That was love and respect. Thank you guys for the awesome food the vendors to the dancers from the little ones to the older adults , and I made my way to the sweat lodge to admire. I didn't get to see it up close last year but I loved every bit of it. Looking forward to seeing you guys next year and I hope to be able to introduce myself to the host and to his family to say thank you.
