Really enjoyed my stay, i completed CPR a few months ago and it was difficult being away from my home in NC but it turned out to be the best thing that happened to me. I now have 6 months of sobriety and I'm enjoying being back with my family and living this new way of life. My favorite part about being here was the staff, community and the great living near the beach. Much love CPR.

Although it's been 4 years, I can honestly say this is such a good treatment center. The counselors here truly care about you. Aside from that, the location is absolutely beautiful, which is a plus. They're very structured, which I love. I recommend New Methods to anyone who is struggling with addiction. I would give them 10 stars if I could!

New Method Wellness gave me a chance to start real living again. I was accepted just as I came and empowered to take my life in a 180 turn. A new vision for the future in which I didn't have to be in control and could learn again to trust my higher power. When my time there ended I left with love in my heart for each staff member and fully thankful. Best place to start recovery from the wreckage of the past.

The Canyon was such an amazing experience in personal growth. Everyone on staff were incredible, providing an array of modalities and resources to help overcome some of life’s toughest challenges while deeply caring for the individuals they are treating. I have sincere gratitude for my time spent and feel a renewed sense of confidence in my ability to be my best version of self as a result of all that I have learned through the program. I highly recommend for anyone who wants to live healthier, feel better, find strength, and step into the life they want for themselves.

Amazingly caring and qualified staff; people that actually have a genuine interest in your recovery (not something that can be said for most rehabilitation programs). Diverse and dynamic curriculum that keeps days from feeling mundane/repetitive, the groups are not cookie-cutter bs. The Canyon really goes the extra mile to advocate for their clients, ensure a healthy recovery environment, and inspire real change in the people they work with. 10/10 would recommend, special shout out to Antonio, Jesse, Lee, and the rest of the staff at canyon, will miss my time here!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly Recommended I’ve been on my recovery journey since 2023, and I’m now approaching a year of sobriety. I can honestly say that The Canyon and its staff were instrumental in that success. Before coming here, I had attended many programs but never received the true treatment and support I needed. Antonio, the Executive Director, goes above and beyond for every client. When I called, he immediately sprang into action and secured my spot in treatment with unmatched drive and dedication. The therapeutic staff is exceptional—highly educated, knowledgeable, and deeply caring. Every group session provided real learning and takeaways that supported my growth. What makes The Canyon different is the genuine care and community they foster. The environment they create allows you to feel supported, encouraged, and capable of building real recovery. Though I began my sobriety journey in 2023, I didn’t start truly recovering until I walked through their doors in the summer of 2024. They saved my life, and I will be forever grateful

MCR SAVED ME FROM DRUGS, MYSELF & DRINKING! I want to talk about my experience, everyone was very kind and we had a great group that I was with at the time which really helped me to recover. The first two weeks I had still been off the wagon, but as soon as I confessed to the group I immediately began to heal. Carlee was an excellent therapist for me and I remember having lots of friends supporting each other while I was getting my recovery. We would practice breathing exercises, watch movies that would help out with our recovery, and talk about anything or anyone who has been bothering us recently or from anytime in our lives. They even had a special brain training activity on the computer that you do to help focus on recovery. All the teachers were so nice and had fun assignments to do to help keep our minds off drugs and alcohol. They even have doctors who help provide medication to help keep drugs and alcohol away. I am much more responsible and take medication now to help maintain my sobriety. Thank you MCR!

I came to La Fuente for the sober living in early Feb of 2011, directly from a 6 day detox. I didn’t know anything about sobriety or treatment, or even interacting w many people at that point, I stayed for 15 months, & I still have my sober date from Jan of 2011. I was treated kindly & respectfully & was given the space I needed to heal, & the structure I needed to learn how to live a happy & sober life. I found Bicycle health when I was struggling- I have tried repeatedly to quit using opioids but the Withdrawal was just too much for me to handle, I kept relapsing over and over again. I had nobody I could talk to about my addiction. I am now almost a month free and have no urges to use again- they have so many groups that connect with others going through the same thing I was. I was able to get through it discreetly and I am grateful for the support I get through bicycle health! Thank you for everything and most importantly giving me the opportunity to live free from bondage!

this place was absolutely terrible, probably the worst residential other than utah. the staff do not care, they very clearly judge u(like a LOT) nd they r always whispering to eachother nd talking abt u right infront of u, like a bunch of middle school girls. they do these things called body checks, where u strip down to ur bra nd underwear which is someone i always hated because they always looked at u w such judgmental eyes. coming from someone who used to be very big when i was in residential, it made me want to cry everytime the staff wld look me up nd down w disgust. in the other location, ojai, one of the staff pointed out tht i was growing stretch marks on my stomach. i was insecure abt it for months after i got out of residential. dont look at the pictures on this place because it looks NOTHING, nd i mean NOTHING like the pictures. i remember during school time, we were all looking at the pictures on this page, nd we were all shocked because the pictures looks nothing like it does now. i also wld like to mention the phone time, u get literally no time to actually have a conversation w ur family member, nd ur not allowed to talk to ur friends until u get out, nd even then, the therapists make ur parents put A ALOT of parental controls on ur phone, i literally cldnt txt anyone but my parents for like 3 weeks, i had no games or social media or anything, my phone was completely useless. nd my therapist , leah, wldnt even let me talk abt my actual problems. this place is genuinely terrible, nd has such a lack of privacy, like someone is ALWAYS looking at u, like even in ur sleep im not joking.

I went to evolve a while back, and it was absolutely terrible. The Staff never really cared about me or any of the other teens so it made our time horrible. The Girls only had the option of a pad or tampon on there periods and for a lot of us it really didn’t work out. And the lack of privacy when it came to hygiene was insane. Me personally I wasn’t there for drugs or hurting myself so I was never sneaking anything, but we were forced to do “body searches” , where you would be stripped to your bra and underwear and you’d have to put your finger under your waistband and prove you weren’t hiding anything(luckily the stuck the gender of the staff doing the searches to the kids genders. Boy with boys, girls with girls). While there was only one male staff and he didn’t work often so the guys wouldn’t really have to do the searches. This wouldn’t be too bad but to know that most the kids there have has some type of sexual trauma and still make them do that is wild. We were only allowed 5 minute showers at first and like 3 minutes for phone calls, but once a week you had the opportunity to “level up”, which would basically lengthen your time to +2 minutes for everything; but you could lose these “privileges” very easily. Another thing is that the staff never really took time with the kids or even believed them; it was possible for you to get punishment just because staff didn’t like you. And the therapy sessions were never personal, I feel like the only thing they treat are drugs and SH(even at that not very well), besides that it’s no help. They never get to the root of the problem. We were never allowed to be kids either, either we were watched while playing games or we had to play cards(still watched just not as closely). That’s all we did, over and over again we played cards because half the things didn’t work. The gym isn’t what they say it is, it’s just a treadmill and a couple yoga balls. The therapy didn’t work and it just made you feel bad about your problems. You can’t use the pool, rarely go outside at that. The staff was absolutely horrible except two or three. The food was really good though. The only good thing were a couple of the kids that stuck together to get through it. But I had never felt suicidal until after going here. Going here at such a young age just added trauma, it’s not a good place at all.

Leaving Purpose today after residential treatment, I feel grateful for the experience and the people who supported me here. Coming in, I was at a really difficult point in my life, and the structure, care, and support I received helped me slow down, stabilize, and start rebuilding myself. The staff truly care and treat clients with respect and patience, especially during the tough early days when everything feels overwhelming. The program gave me tools to better understand my addiction, my mental health, and the patterns I need to change moving forward. Group sessions and community support were especially meaningful because they reminded me I’m not alone in this journey. Recovery isn’t easy, and no program can do the work for you, but Purpose provided a safe environment and the guidance I needed to begin that work. I’m leaving with more clarity, hope, and motivation than when I arrived, and for that I’m thankful. I appreciate everyone here who helped me take these first steps toward a healthier future.

Hi. My name is Kymberly , And I was asked to write a review. I feel honored to do this. I have been to multiple inpatient drug and alcohol treatment centers throughout my life. I’m 55 years old and what I wanna say about Purposes Recovery is that they go above and beyond helping you with your wants your dreams and your needs. I’ve never been to a treatment center that allowed me to bring my dog with me. Purposes Recovery is allowing my five month old puppy to be with me. Not only that, but I was so screwed up in my disease that I couldn’t fly from Oregon to California without getting so drunk and missing the flight, So what did they do? They sent someone out to help me get on that flight and fly me down here to LA. No other treatment center I’ve ever been to has done anything like that either. The facilities are so nice. Very clean. I never felt like I was in a place that made me feel uncomfortable and I have pretty high standards. I would recommend Purposes Recovery to anyone who is looking to change their life. I will be forever grateful for these people that work at Purposes Recovery and how they have helped me so much. They’ve gone above and beyond what any other treatment center does. I am eternally grateful. Sincerely, Kymberly Sweeney

That said, to those lucky enough to be gifted by a family member the opportunity to go to Breathe or anyone else trying to choose a facility to heal. This place will make you feel alive again. 80 days sober today! 🎉 I have been at Breathe since May 5th, 2025 and this has been a life changing experience. I will grieve this experience when I leave at the of this month. I discharge on the 25th and I feel I’ve been equipped with all the tools needed to stay sober. The staff are empathetic, compassionate and well educated on addiction recovery. I’m going to cherish all the memories I have at Breathe. I have met some of the most amazing people— friends I will hold dear to my heart for the rest of my life. If you’re struggling with addiction or an eating disorder, come be apart of the Breathe community. It will be tough but so worth it. I’ve unpacked 40 years of trauma here; leaving Breathe with freedom, healing and self compassion. I’m looking forward to a life free of substances and binge eating. Thank you, Breathe for saving my life!

I unfortunately lied to myself and didn’t take advantage of them to the full extent that I should have but I am excited on the journey I am going to go on with the skills I learned there Thank you breathe for giving me a beautiful new outlook on life and last but not least thank you to the Amazing nurses Neenah and Lexus you were top notch personable and such beautiful souls. I have not one bad thing to say other than my lack of accountability in my part but something I learned at breathe from another amazing Cm Hassan is things happen for me not to me. I was coming to next step to get off of methadone. The detox team did a good job of getting me through the withdrawal. I give a shout out to Scott for doing great groups and Inez for helping me get the help I needed after treatment. The 30 days was like a vacation I have no complaints.

Since I've been a client since 2011 I have had the best councelers only thing I don't appreciate is they can't keep a dosing nurse for more than a month because our ex director fires everyone she is very hard to work for she openly talks about clients to nurses with ppl at the window has she not heard of HIPPA RULES??? I'm glad she is gone because I was at wits end to where I was considering leaving to another clinic.

Tarzana really helped give my husband a second chance at life. They provided a safe, clean, structured, informative, supportive and caring environment. He was able to get clean and got the tools he needed to succeed outside of the treatment center. I will be forever grateful.

I was there in March thru June of 2020, peak of Covid. The staff did it great job Twyla does a great job running a clean program. I was discharged a week before completion because I caused problems for the director Laura and never allowed back in. Before finding Able2Change, I was in a really dark cycle of relapsing and losing hope. The program here was a game-changer because they actually addressed my mental health alongside the chemical dependency. I finally have my life back, my family trusts me again, and I wake up with a purpose every day. I can't thank the counselors enough for their patience and guidance through the hardest time of my life.

LAC Recovery came into my life at a moment when I felt completely defeated, and I honestly believe they helped save me. When I called, I was scared, ashamed, and unsure if anyone would even care, but the staff met me with such compassion that I felt hope for the first time in a long while. Every session helped me peel back another layer of pain and see a future worth fighting for. They didn’t just guide me, they believed in me until I started believing in myself again. I walked out feeling lighter, stronger, and truly alive. LAC Recovery gave me a new beginning when I thought I had none left.

Never thought I’d say this, but I kinda miss that place. Not the pain I walked in with, but the way they helped me climb out of it. 💭 The people there saw something in me I couldn’t, and they stuck by me when I kept messing up. 💔 Days were tough, but they made 'em count. Group talks, chill walks outside, even just laughing over dumb stuff... it all helped more than I knew. If you’re lost, they’ll help you find your way back.

LAC Recovery felt like the first place that actually saw me, not just my addiction. The staff didn’t just nod and smile — they listened, they challenged me, and they stuck with me through the hard stuff. The vibe there was raw, but safe — like I could finally stop pretending and just be real.Group sessions hit deep, and one-on-ones helped me piece things back together. I didn’t walk out perfect, but I walked out stronger — more me. LAC lit a fire in me that I’m still carrying. They helped me believe that I’m worth the fight

This treatment center truly changed my life. They not only gave me the tools to overcome my struggles, but also helped me build a community where I no longer felt alone. Through their guidance, I was able to face my shame and trauma and begin to heal. They taught me how to create and maintain healthy relationships with my family and friends, and reminded me that I have something meaningful to live for. I owe the life I have today to La Fuente & everyone who paved the way for me there. Special thanks to Manny, Anil & Edwin
