Vince 2 months ago I went into FSR Outpatient treatment not knowing what to expect, as I was going because I wanted to quit lying to my husband and be available for my elderly parents sober. What I found was a very caring, kind and empathetic group of people dedicated to my success, teaching me the tools necessary to live life on life's terms sober. All of the case managers and counselors were knowledgeable and they cared about helping me and those in recovery. However my case manager Sara was above and beyond amazing, I came into FSR for everyone in my family but me. Through Sara I not only learned the valuable tools necessary for my recovery, but Sara helped me love myself through this incredible journey. I am forever grateful that I made the decision of choosing FSR and working with such a wonderful team. I am looking forward to better days with staying at baart . It has been over 30 years in and out here with doing detox when they offered that. They assign u to a counselor as soon as u arrive and they have classes to help teach u and understand how to cope with it. Going into the program u have to surrender yourself to change, they have resources to help u get on your feet & become a productive member of society. the biggest plus was the food on occasion and being able to bring my daughter as it is open to mothers and children. The biggest minus where no social passes so u are not allowed to go out of the facility unless u have an appt & also being in pending ( isolation) for the first 5 days from my understanding these changes occured due to covid so they are trying to keep us safe other then that it's probably one of the best facilities to come too. 🤗 elizabeth meraz 4 months ago I am truly grateful for WestCare and the staff while I was there. I want to say that they have a phenomenal program set in place for people who are seeking lifelong sobriety. If you are serious about your recovery and your program, then WestCare in my opinion, is a great place to start! I completed my program in December of 2023 and because of the guidance and tools I was given at WestCare, I remain clean today. I have 20 months and am an active member of the NA program. I went for 29 days in May of 2023, and left cause I thought I could it. I was high again 2 weeks later. They picked me up the second time I went and welcomed me back with open arms. I was at my lowest. Lost custody of my kids, my bf was cheating and hitting me. We were both addicts, with no way out. When I went back they assisted me in addressing every problem I had. The counselor I had was amazing, and she made sure I knew I was heard and mattered. I was there around 5 months which is longer than most, but it was exactly what I needed. I now have over 2 years sober from IV use of meth. I have my kids weekly with a job, my own place, and a vehicle. Without New Visions staff and support I can honestly say, I would still be alone, at my lowest. They assign u to a counselor as soon as u arrive and they have classes to help teach u and understand how to cope with it. Going into the program u have to surrender yourself to change, they have resources to help u get on your feet & become a productive member of society. the biggest plus was the food on occasion and being able to bring my daughter as it is open to mothers and children. There should be a BAART clinic in every city in every state in the US. I personally knew three people that died because they weren't in a BAART program and using illegal opiates. I know five people that very likely would be dead had it not been for BAART. I awoke with a cop standing over me after I stopped breathing. Important note: if an OD victim gets Narcan, and is revived, they are still in grave danger. Many opiates have a longer systemic half than Narcan, and the patient could stop breathing again. After I was revived by Narcan, I had to stay over-night in the ICU on a Narcan drip. Had that not happened, I would have died. The opiate I ODed on was methadone, which has a systemic elimination half life far longer than Narcan. I have actually got money to do things with now. The BART program is amazing program and I I really really do recommend you guys to everybody I come across that needs help. I was in shambles prior to BAART no self respect, lost my family and their respect, did not have a home or decent vehicle my entire life was up in the air I had absolutely no direction. Counseling was and is amazing I love being able to speak to someone who understands my struggles. Through the program I was taught to hold my self accountable for my actions among many other well needed life lessons. BAART has been the beginning to my journey but most definitely not the end so I say THANK YOU BAART Porterville 🙏 you are one of the main reasons I am here today.
