Cassandra was great and provided me with valuable information and guidance. Chris 4 months ago For years, I was reluctant to use the VA because of what I had heard about problems across the country. Due to the lack of doctors in the area and very poor service provided by a healthcare company in Oakhurst, I started using this facility. The experience has been just excellent. If only private healthcare providers were this good. I can honestly say that I have never had such fine, professional service and I am 72 years old. Coleman Luck 7 years ago Every time that I have come to this clinic it has been a good experience. I have been here about five times so far or different services. Normally I use the Fresno facility, but since I have been working in Fish Camp this location has been perfect. I highly recommend this clinic to any veterans living in the mountain area. Forget about going to the Fresno VA hospital. Thank you to the entire staff who are creating a pleasant environment for veterans to seek healthcare. We had a family member stay there and The Lakes changed her life and our lives for the better. They treated her like family and from the time she arrived to the time she was ready to come home... it was immediately apparent she was in much better health mentally, emotionally and physically. Not only did they provide her with help she sorely needed but they provide the tools needed to ensure success after as well with a more 'dual diagnostics' approach which I found VERY effective. Now with life after The Lakes, she made friends with other guests there and has established a great support group. The Lakes approach encourages guests to develop friendships that people can carry after they leave. I've seen other treatment centers and this is not your 'typical' treatment center. This one has a much more 'family' oriented approach that will help you on multiple levels. So THANK YOU to all the staff there... I feel like we got a new lease on life and we are super grateful for all your help. (Also... the food was excellent so kudos to the kitchen staff too) You just don't get that 'family vibe' anywhere else for a place like this and that's a key component to The Lakes success. UPDATE: our family member is still doing great over 1/2 year later... In addition she made 2 friends there who have also continued staying sober after leaving. The Lakes established not just a commitment to sobriety for her own sake but inspired her little community after leaving to stay sober together. What I found was a very caring, kind and empathetic group of people dedicated to my success, teaching me the tools necessary to live life on life's terms sober. All of the case managers and counselors were knowledgeable and they cared about helping me and those in recovery. However my case manager Sara was above and beyond amazing, I came into FSR for everyone in my family but me. I am looking forward to better days with staying at baart . It has been over 30 years in and out here with doing detox when they offered that. I have finaaly got sober and stable with my dose of methadone that helps me stay stable now, I will say you get what you put in if no effort no nothing. They assign u to a counselor as soon as u arrive and they have classes to help teach u and understand how to cope with it. Going into the program u have to surrender yourself to change, they have resources to help u get on your feet & become a productive member of society. the biggest plus was the food on occasion and being able to bring my daughter as it is open to mothers and children. The biggest minus where no social passes so u are not allowed to go out of the facility unless u have an appt & also being in pending ( isolation) for the first 5 days from my understanding these changes occured due to covid so they are trying to keep us safe other then that it's probably one of the best facilities to come too. 🤗 elizabeth meraz 4 months ago I am truly grateful for WestCare and the staff while I was there. I want to say that they have a phenomenal program set in place for people who are seeking lifelong sobriety. If you are serious about your recovery and your program, then WestCare in my opinion, is a great place to start! I completed my program in December of 2023 and because of the guidance and tools I was given at WestCare, I remain clean today. I have 20 months and am an active member of the NA program.
