A Love Letter to the Place That Saved My Life There are no words big enough, no thank-yous deep enough, to fully express what this place has given me. Walking through the doors of this rehab, I was not just broken—I was gone. A shell. An echo of the person I used to be. I didn’t come in with hope; I came in with desperation. I had burned bridges, lost myself, and forgotten what it meant to truly live. But this place… this place gave me everything back—and more. From day one, the staff treated me not as a case or a number, but as a soul worth saving. They didn’t judge my past. They held space for my pain, gently guiding me out of the shadows I’d been lost in for so long. They reminded me that I wasn’t just addicted—I was hurting, I was human, and I was still worthy of love. The counselors weren’t just professionals—they were warriors, walking with us every step, sometimes carrying us when we couldn’t carry ourselves. They challenged us. Believed in us. Cried with us. Laughed with us. Celebrated every tiny victory like it was the Super Bowl. Because in recovery, those victories are everything. I learned how to feel again. How to breathe. How to forgive myself. I learned that recovery isn’t just about saying no to a substance—it’s about saying yes to life. Yes to family. Yes to morning sunlight and belly laughs and long talks and second chances. I got my smile back here. I got my future back. I will never forget the people I met here—the late-night talks in the common room, the moments of raw, unscripted honesty, the way complete strangers became family. We cheered each other on. We picked each other up. We healed together. That kind of bond doesn’t fade. Today, I am sober. I am strong. I am healing. But most importantly—I am here. And I owe that to this sacred place that saw light in me when I could only see darkness. If you are wondering if this is the place for you, let me say this from the deepest part of my heart: it is. Let this be the start of your miracle, like it was mine. Thank you, from the bottom of my soul. You didn’t just save my life—you gave me a reason to live it. Forever grateful,

🌟 A Love Letter to the Place That Helped Me Begin Again 🌟 I don’t know if words will ever fully express what this place means to me — but I’ll try. When I walked through those doors, I was exhausted. Not just tired — spiritually winded. I was carrying the weight of choices, shame, fear, and the echo of my own voice asking, “Will I ever be whole again?” And then something happened. A team of the most compassionate, professional, beautifully human beings I’ve ever met welcomed me — not like a patient, but like a person. Like someone worth fighting for. From the nurses to the counselors, the kitchen staff to the therapists, the front desk to the housekeeping — each one of them carried light into my darkest moments. They didn’t judge. They didn’t push. They walked with me — step by step — back into myself. Every group, every one-on-one, every conversation over coffee, every morning reflection… it rebuilt me. They didn’t just treat addiction here — they treated the person beneath it. They reminded me I was still in there, still breathing, still capable of joy, laughter, strength, and purpose. And yes, I laughed. I cried. I healed. I grew. If you’re reading this and you’re afraid — please come. If you think it won’t work for you — come anyway. If you believe you’re too broken — you’re not. I promise. I thought that too. And now, by the grace of this place and the hearts that run it, I have hope again. To the staff: I will never forget you. You saved my life — not just my body, but my soul. I carry your voices with me, your strength, your faith in me even when I didn’t have it myself. You gave me more than sobriety. You gave me myself back. Thank you. Forever. — With all my heart, [A Grateful Human Being]

Being able to complete this program virtually was an awesome experience and very convenient option. The therapists and counselors always engaged those of us attending group therapy virtually, with the exception of one employee, but I only had a couple experiences with him. There was a variety of treatment styles utilized. Everyone seemed very passionate about their work and I would recommend this facility to anyone. I still have the option to participate in an alumni meeting once a week, and I rarely skip that opportunity.

Wow, words can't even describe how amazing this facility/program is. I attended here from March 2024-July 2024. I entered this treatment program with almost 9 years of sobriety, and I had reached a place mentally where I felt like I did when I used to get high. I was full of anxiety, couldn't function at work, and was a complete mess. This place got me in so quickly, and immediately I was met with open arms by staff who you could tell ACTUALLY CARE. I've worked in the drug alcohol field for many years, and I've found this is hard to come by.The program itself is wonderful. The group facilitators are knowledgable and I found most groups to be very helpful/interesting. The groups I didn't like were not a reflection of the program in anyway, more so a reflection of myself and where I was at experiencing them.My individual therapist Carolena was amazing, never once did I feel judged, and she always made me feel safe. She challenged me and asked me uncomfortable questions and helped walk me through the stages of life that I was in at the time.My individual case manager Britt was AMAZING AMAZING. She was the first person I met, and held my hand throughout the entire process, guiding me through insurance/disability, answering all my questions, wonderful amazing individual sessions where she provided me with many tools, and just overall an amazing caring genuine knowledgable person. SHE DESERVES A RAISE!!!! lol.I had the pleasure of meeting individually with one of the therapy interns Chloe. She got me to open up about stuff I hadn't talked about in years. I will miss our sessions. The community of clients at Inneractions is diverse and I loved hearing everyone's different stories of how they ended up at Inneractions. We all come from so many different walks of life, but together we were fighting the same fight, and the amount of support I received from my peers there helped so much. It felt so good to celebrate others successes with them. All the other staff at Inneractions was wonderful as well. And I have to mention them as well.Joe is the glue who holds the place together and runs a solid ship there. The clinical director Loree helped me out when I needed it! Which I'm so grateful for.Facilitators like Demarcus, Shane, Rick, Kathy, and many more I could name who are all wonderful.Mike the case manger I have to give a shout out to as well for always chatting with me during smoke breaks. I always looked forward to our daily conversations about basketball.Overall, this is an amazing treatment program. They are completely transparent about all financials, care about their clients, and provide more QUALITY/Personlized treatment then you will receive at "Luxury" treatment centers most commonly found in Malibu. If you're struggling with addiction/mental health, then this is the place for you. They saved my life when I was in an extremely dark/scary place, and I am eternally grateful.Thank you so much for helping me heal!

I went through the intensive outpatient program at Iris for help with my mental health and substance abuse issues and had an extremely positive experience . The staff there genuinely cares , are very professional and want to see you succeed . What stood out to me about Iris are the services available other than the group and individual therapy sessions . They also offer TMS , Neuro feedback , Hypno therapy , Breathwork and Meditation , all of which were very beneficial for me in my recovery journey . I would recommend Iris to anyone struggling with substance abuse or their mental health .

Iris Healing was such a transformative experience for me. All of the staff were amazing. The therapists were all incredible. The chef took impeccable care of my diet, especially because I am type one diabetic. Also, there were many snacks to enjoy anytime you wanted. As well as the facility would provide anything you wanted for food, per your recommendation, no questions asked. The yoga on the rooftop was unbelievably amazing and the yoga teacher amazing. The meditations taught me so much and having our energy read by drawing stones and fairy cards and speaking to us holistically really gave me so much that I ve taken with me on my treatment journey. Each room was so comfortable each having its own TV to enjoy whatever you wanted on your off time With very well, taken care of bathrooms that were also great. Great walk in closets too. The house was huge and very comfortable. The backyard was exquisite with many areas to meditate or do yoga or enjoy the pool or just sit and enjoy the California weather underneath a beautiful bougainvillea. Also many meetings or therapy sessions were held outside if you were comfortable. The whole experience, the home, the people that took care of me, the outings, everything was a five star experience that led me with great success on my healing journey. The holistic approach taught me that there was more than just AA to my healing. Of my treatment experiences I ve had Iris Healing was by far the best decision I ve made for myself and exceeds everything.

Completed a 30 day in-patient program and 30 day sober living through the VRC. I was very satisfied with the programs, staff and facilities. Harmony house is a beautiful facility and I was very comfortable. The sessions were very helpful and gave me the tools for recovery. I had my very first massage and acupuncture sessions while living there and I enjoyed our outings provided by the staff. The meals were wonderful and I was treated like a guest, not a patient. You cannot go wrong here. I was previously in residential treatment in another facility and there was absolutely no comparison.

Well well well... where to start? I have been a resident at OPI for 600 billion light years and what can I say this place really does wonders. I changed my pronouns and I developed schizophrenia. I now hear voices that tell me the demons are saying that Mr. R Kelly is good. Thanks a lot for helping me amongst other great, inexpensive treatment centers that were only 100 k an hour!!! I am super grateful for your services. As the profit Muhammad once said, Ayisha is my wife and she just turned 9 years old, and I shall marry her forever!!! May Allah be with your program. Punish the nonconforming jewish infidels.... and remain tolerant for all people. And most importantly, remember that my pronouns are mandatory!!! Yes!!! Good job!!! Yay OPI!!!!!

I was at OPI for 197 Days and I am happy to say that It was the best decision that I have made with my life. I learned so much from how to make some amazing friends to how to make an accurate budget with my life coach Spencer.Spencer is one of the best. He's not always by the book and helps one get to the bottom of things happening in every day life. His goal for each client is to have them as ready as possible and as prepared for what's to come tomorrow as can be. Not to brag but I also had one of the best therapists in OPI. Ali G is a fun, confident, wicked smart woman who always left me with something new to think about. She gives some of the strangest interventions I have ever had in my life but I promise if one gives it a try it's so worth it. Her goal is to work with you on your problem areas and get you to a point of feeling confident in those areas as well.Everyone at OPI is someone that is always going to be willing to work with you no matter what. From the drivers to the ILS staff and beyond. Trust them to know what they are doing and keep an open mind when it comes to problem solving at the apartments. The outings and activities that I was lucky enough to have the privilege of going on were always fun. For Halloween I had the privilege of going to Halloween Horror Nights, one of the best nights of my life. Chilling with other clients and getting to know them is always one of the best parts of any day. If you choose OPI keep in mind the memories you will make because It will certainty be a story to tell.If you need to work on your mental health, addiction, or just want a better life for yourself, I recommend OPI 100%. Thank you to everyone that got me through my journey I honestly can't wait to find out what happens next!

My son was at this center for 6 weeks and made more progress in that time than he has in 6 years of counseling. I found the majority of the staff to be professional and compassionate. There were a couple of issues with some of the RC's that upset him and me, but I spoke with the director and I know that those things have been addressed. Overall, I will recommend this program to anyone who asks. There is no such thing as perfection in therapy. Everyone has their own process. I am a counselor, I had all the energy in the world for my son, I gave him every resource I could think of and it was not enough. He got exactly what he needed from his time at Evolve. He has been home for about 6 weeks now, and I could not be happier with his responses to life. His counselor, Stephanie, helped him in ways that no one else has been able to. I am eternally grateful for everything. The only other thing that I would add is that if you are thinking of sending your child to Evolve, follow through. If they participate and you participate, you will likely get the results you are looking for. Be honest around your child's needs and don't hesitate to let the counselors or director know if something is not working, in my experience they will do all that they can to make the appropriate changes.

. i never thought id have an eating disorder. i refused to accept it i thought i was being gaslight or something. but it was the best experience of my life. like genuinely i smiled for the first time in months at cfd. i had a therapist (david) who was genuinely the most supportive person ever my care team (rachel n david) helped me tremendously they helped me not only in my eating disorder but in my overall mental health as well as my social health. i am so thankful that i was sent here i didn t know how long it would be but like i had my first thanksgiving meal in years because of the help i received here i was able to start my life anew. if you re getting sent here or thinking of sending someone you love or yourself to an eating disorder center i recommend cfd woodland hills.

The staff team at Center for Discovery is really helpful, kind, and supportive to patients and their families. They are very competent at helping patients work through and heal from their eating disorder. The materials that we worked through were very helpful for healing from an eating disorder. It included lots of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skills. I would highly recommend Center for Discovery Woodland Hills.

I’m writing this review on behalf of my loved one who attended Golden Road Recovery. Of course when attending any new treatment center there will always be worries and nerves, but I can confidently say the staff at GRR made the transition as comfortable as possible. I’ve seen only two negative reviews on here but I must say after our experience I can guarantee those were not truthful reviews. If you're suffering from addiction, come to Golden Road... It'll change your life. They saved mine. I lost my career, my identity, my sense of self, my purpose when I found out I had to stop working with horses because I needed a spine surgery on my neck. I began a vicious cycle of drinking. First, drinking on weekends, then weekends and mid week. Later every few days. Ultimately, my despair, loneliness, hopelessness, and severe depression lead to me losing a week of my life to a rolling blackout drunk... When I got to the last half bottle, I decided once it was gone I was done drinking and I was putting myself in rehab. I wasn't coming home until I felt better. I had tried to quit and failed repeatedly over the years, tried cutting back the amount to control the blackouts, tried having others serve me to control my drinking. The worst part was, the more I tried controlling it, the worse my flashbacks, nightmares, PTSD and depression got. So the more I drank. I began Door Dashing the alcohol late at night so no one would know I had more, I also began paying cash for alcohol so no one would see how often I was going to the liquor store. It was cheap and legal and readily available. I called all over my area to find a detox center and rehab that accepted my insurance when I came across Golden Road Recovery. I began chatting with someone to see if they accepted my Tricare for Life insurance and they gave me a number to call and verify. I reached Jason. Jason was so caring and quick to offer help. He gave me a direct# and began to verify my insurance. Within minutes, he called me back and said in fact they do accept Tricare for Life/Tricare West for retired military and their families. Jason made me feel like I was the only person in the world that he was helping. The next day I flew out to LA from Kansas City, MO. After arriving to Golden Road I met Jason, only to discover he actually runs Golden Road, and is a very busy man. I was absolutely astonished as I was treated like the most important person on the planet. I was molested by a 19 year old neighbor beginning at the age of 2 years old, raised by a very violently abusive alcoholic Preacher father, raped at 14 years, and so on. I needed help, so I asked to stay for 45 days instead of the 30 days. The treatments, the therapy, Dr. Thomas, Chef Eric, and all the staff members are amazing. The therapy works, and the people really do genuinely care. The rooms/house is beautiful. If you're in need of help recovering from addiction, please do come to Golden Road Recovery. It'll save your life.

This place changed and saved my life. I owe the staff and owners everything. They took a dead man walking and gave me hope through God and the 12 steps of Narcotics Anonymous. I completed my treatment at Enlight Treatment Center a year ago, and it was a truly transformative experience. When I first arrived, I was dealing with the aftermath of a broken jaw and the emotional scars from being tortured at a fake detox center, which left me terrified to trust anyone. The staff at Enlight went above and beyond to accommodate my needs, ensuring I received the best care possible.Understanding my dietary restrictions due to the injury, the chef prepared special meals that were easy for me to consume, allowing me to focus on healing without worrying about nutrition. This attention to detail and compassion made a significant difference in my recovery journey. The comprehensive care I received included a tailored treatment plan addressing both my substance use issues and the emotional challenges I faced. The staff's genuine compassion and understanding helped me slowly rebuild trust and feel safe in my environment. Their dual-diagnosis approach was instrumental in helping me manage co-occurring mental health conditions and regain control over my life.I am especially thankful for their expertise in helping me get clean off Suboxone, which was a significant milestone in my recovery journey. The caring environment at Enlight made all the difference, providing me with the support and encouragement I needed to overcome my fears and embrace a new chapter in life.Reflecting on the past year, I am incredibly grateful for the foundation Enlight Treatment Center provided, enabling me to overcome not only my addiction but also the physical and emotional hurdles I faced upon arrival. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking compassionate and comprehensive care.-Nik
