The staff genuinely cares about the people they are helping, and I have felt supported and respected throughout my time here. Grant and Chris are absolutely amazing and have made such a positive impact. My therapist, Jayme, is awesome! She makes me feel comfortable, truly listens to me, and never makes me feel judged. That means so much to me, especially during such an important part of my recovery. All of the facilitators here are wonderful as well. Mikey is one of my favorites I absolutely love his groups! He is an amazing facilitator and makes his groups meaningful, engaging, and helpful. I am truly grateful for everyone at Warner Park. The entire team has made this experience so much better, and I would definitely recommend this treatment center to anyone looking for a supportive, caring, and judgment-free environment to begin or continue their recovery journey. It seems like everyone there does really care about the patients and wants to help. I loved the approach they had with cbt and dbt. Very helpful to me. (i still utilize them almost daily!)The one thing that I did have issues with were the other kids. There was quite some violence coming from the kids that were there at the same time as me. It's not on the staff at all though. They did the best they could in very harsh situations and still kept all of us safe. I do recommend this place if your kid deals with depression/anxiety but would not recommend if they have violent tendencies. I just dont think mixing those two types of kids works out well. It was also too short of a review to do this place justice for how much they did for me. I would like to also add Mona, Milly, Knacio, Mike, Greg, Lalo and say thank you to all of you as well. I wish I expressed more gratitude on my journey with all of you. I did a lot of growing up there and it was all thanks to everyone not giving up on me even when I wanted to give up on myself. Going through their program and then earning my RADT and working as a Technician at 2 of their Detox locations and House Manager at one of their Sober Livings for them was probably some of my most fulfilling and happiest moments of my life. They showed me who I had the ability to become if I strived hard enough and believed in myself. I don’t know where I would be today or if I would even be alive if it wasn’t for every staff member and even the clients that were all there sharing their life stories and experiences and pushing us to all be better, not only to the people around us but also to ourselves. Alex helped me through every step of the way, I got cold feet initially but his professionalism and empathy helped me so much. The private room allowed me to detox and find the peace I really needed. I got to keep my phone which is unlike any other place. Tommy Rosenbalm 5 months ago Okay first off let me say hands down at this program is very very good I've been to several programs in the past and they can only keep me up to 20 days and I left but this program has got me and it's not because of what it looks like it's because of the way staff goes above and beyond to make sure you're okay and that's just part of it the other part of it has to do with the facilitators that come in and teach you how to stay away from drugs or at least have to remain sober and they show you they take time to show you what your triggers are and things like that to help you remain sober. Now here comes the plus side of everything we put the icing on top of the food while the chefs are like really A1 chefs they make sure you're fed well and you get the right nutrients you need not just fast food type food they do it with nothing but love and you can feel it you can taste it and that's where it begins right right there sure you get the opportunity to have a strong foundation so you can make it out there in the Free world I felt nothing but love and respect from day one show man there's nothing bad about this please it's just got to be in you you have to do the footwork to get these things they'll give it to you but you just up to you to take it Jose Martinez 7 months ago Wow ....First off the top I'm gonna say that this program is great....The staff are all about making sure your needs are met and make sure your safe...They go above and beyond to make sure of that.facilitators are all about helping you recognize what you need to do to become aware of triggers that can help you not relapse.. The chefs here are phenomenal the food is hands down the best...The house is spacious and is just great ...So the only question to ask is are you willing to do the foot work to get clean and sober cause if you are there's not a better place to be than here at HIllside RECOVERY...And how I know is cause I see it unfold day after day..... She is amazing. She is there from the beginning to the end if you need anything. The first person I met at rise was Nam. He is the man he’s there for you all the time he works 20 hours a day. The man is amazing. Next, I met Zac the nurse he’s such a cool dude and listens to you and takes whatever concerns you have and it gets it fixed for you. As far as nurses Daisy, David and Nina were great. If you have real medical issues, I would not go there Dr.Raskin is a first class clown. The first time I met him, he spoke to me in the kitchen for 30 seconds and ran away. The next time I saw him was on Zoom for about 60 seconds and he got off. I had a lot of medical issues and he was not there for me. I was very disappointed in that. I refuse to see him after that that’s one of the few bad things about Rise is the doctor. If he was my employee he’d be fired. I complained about him a lot. The counselor Michael, Josh And Beth were great they listen to you and make you feel like they are helping you out. A special shout out to Cat My hippie dippy friend she is the one who does yoga and meditation. I never did that in my life before I’m an older man and she was amazing. I’m from the East Coast. The food was not that great. I was disappointed in that they have a private chef. James was the best chef That’s the only thing I could say about the food. Very disappointing. For me, one of those people has always been Ron and the entire team at Rise in Malibu. I’ve known Ron for a while , and through every chapter, he has remained someone who genuinely cares, shows up, and sees the person beneath the struggle. That kind of authenticity is rare. His leadership and heart are reflected throughout the entire program and staff. Dr. Mark, Sheri, and everyone at Rise create an environment that is compassionate, professional, supportive, and deeply human. They don’t treat people like problems to fix they treat them like people worth fighting for. That distinction matters more than words can explain. What makes Rise special is that it never felt transactional to me. It felt personal. Real care, real connection, real support, and people who continue to stay connected long after treatment ends. That says everything. And for me personally, recovery wasn’t something that necessarily “landed” the very first time. Sometimes the spiritual experience happens when it’s truly ready to happen. What I can say today, sitting here over 16 months sober, is that Rise helped give me the tools, foundation, support, and perspective that allowed that change to finally take root in a real way. When the moment came, I knew how to move forward because of what I had learned there. That’s something I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life! We did a lot of outdoor activities including disc golf , pickleball and the golf driving range. Also went to see many movies at AMC topanga. I also want to give a special shoutout to Anna , Evan , Adrianna , Zach , pearl and Leslie for just being awesome staff and really making starbridge what it is.
