The clinics have a different feel. I have noticed at the South Clinic, some veterans hang out and can socialize with other veterans. One time I was there, there was a truck distributing food. At both clinics the people working there, were very nice and respectful. I was at the North clinic to see a cardio nurse practitioner. She was very thorough and caring with my issues. I’ve been to many treatment centers in my life and I can honestly say that this was one of if not the best I’ve been too! The staff all have their own strengths and the format is perfect if you really want to change your life. For years there were no services for men that wanted help with alcohol and substance abuse through MediCal in Sonoma county. Fortunately this is no longer the case. This facility opened in December 2024 and has helped many suffering from AUD and SUD already. It's a new and clean facility. Staff members are amazing, in particular my case manager. You can tell they are truly sincere in helping others find the path to sobriety. I finally feel hope again. If you or someone you know is in need of help please don't overlook this place. All of the nurses were perfectly attendant. I mean really exceptional. And the psychiatrist was very clued in. I'm normally skeptical of modern day psychiatry, but this guy has seen enough people in crisis to know what to do. The case manager was overwhelmed. I can forgive this. The people I was with (as in other patients) have truly impacted my life. Every single person I have ever come across, please know your stories mean something. You continue to live on in others and to me that is magic. Even if under the worst circumstances, thank you for being so vulnerable and soft and kind. And to the facilitators, everyone one of you (except this one B, I can’t remember her name but she was literally so rude and her name did start with a B) thank you too. I forget his name, but there’s one Asian guy in there who does physical activity, thank you, even though I know you hated seeing me (and I’m sure many others) go back many times. I understand why you distanced yourself. And I get that now. Surprisingly it helped. Bc the look you gave me stuck with me and I never wanted to go back. I've been to another clinic In town when I first moved to Santa Rosa from Oakland. The people at the first clinic I went to were very condescending and less than helpful. When I switched over to SRTP I have been treated respectfully by 99% of the staff. Switching clinics to this one was one of the better decisions I've made since I moved to Santa Rosa. My counselor is amazing and really cares about what's going on with me and tries to help me find solutions for problems when they arise in my personal life. The dosing nurses are all very helpful and polite. They're also very encouraging and good at their jobs. The other thing that really struck me about this place was there was one day where a lady fell asleep in her car out in the parking lot. People didn't know if she was overdosing or something and the way that the staff reacted to the situation and how they rushed to help this person even though they didn't end up needing help in the end.... It was impressive and possibly could have been life-saving. This clinic really does care about people and they treat everybody with dignity. Thank you SRTP. You guys have helped me save my own life. This place can save your life from the mistakes we make. I seriously cannot begin to describe how happy I am with this place and how grateful I am. If you are really thinking about making a change in your life and stay away from addiction, then this is the place. My addiction to life lead me down the wrong terms in life I never . Never was a big drug user, I was a alcoholic from my first years moving to California. I worked in the butcher blocks of life I the kitchen I never knew what this home was I called here and there even when called upon picked up on I till neglected it because being black in a dominant Hispanic church had lines drawn. Especially the way people speak on political matters or division. But upon arrival I was a lil off especially during pandemic alot I could've did to make it . But I arrived broke mad at the world my parents my step parents and God parents o the choices to pull me here and with police neglect and unlawful force on other terms I was hurt emotionally after serving a decade plus still striving to define legit works. And feeling in Jim crow. I let the shop work go I dropped cold turkey. And I was shaking I read sonnys words on a radical free movement on religion scriptures and being relative from the eastern coast in bon in the great lakes and Tru state area I took my chances at detox I seen people I probably would've tried to shake off. Especially being on level 4 on two states and a circle next door to each other and earning my credentials with all these terms on flawless mercy. I had disbelief I saw enemies. And doubt without my brothers then I seen pastor Sonny his son who would've Neva came to if I knew he was one of the shop customers and me fighting my life choices and god-parents on every level and my career choices. I read stories of Esther watch movies of courage and write some many scriptures of loyalty to the word and stories of triumph over binds of color and status. Watched plays of celebration , romance threw every service gave unconditional with a bias black heart still I put my hand in was taught lessons of trust in blindspots. And brought back of memories in A.A meeting them in disguise traveling threw the bay area and then finding a victory home an my own terms in my homelands near my mom. From my very first contact with the team through intake and throughout my entire stay, I was met with an incredible level of warmth, compassion, professionalism, and genuine care. Olejan, Louise, and Kristin were absolutely wonderful. They made the intake process comfortable, seamless, and easy, and it was immediately clear that they genuinely care about each client and their recovery. The facility itself is exceptional. It is beautifully maintained, private, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed with high-end amenities that truly support the recovery process. Unlike many treatment programs, Simmons accommodates a maximum of six clients at a time, which allows the team to provide an incredibly personalized level of care and attention. The environment feels much more like a private, comfortable, luxurious home than a traditional treatment facility. What stood out to me most was how individualized the entire program is. Reflections takes the time to understand each client's specific needs and builds treatment around them, while also focusing on providing the tools and foundation necessary for long-term success after leaving the program. The clinical and medical care is outstanding. There is 24-hour nursing support, and the nursing team is made up of incredibly compassionate and attentive people who genuinely care about the wellbeing of every client. Medical needs are closely monitored, medications are regularly reviewed and adjusted when necessary, and there is consistent communication with the clinical director, executive director, psychiatrist, and nurse practitioner. I always felt that my needs were being heard and taken seriously. The therapeutic program is equally impressive. Clients participate in intensive daily group therapy, individual therapy, and specialized relapse-prevention work. The counselors are knowledgeable, compassionate, diligent, and completely focused on the client's recovery. The groups are educational and provide practical tools surrounding CBT, coping skills, emotional regulation, relapse prevention, and many other areas that are essential for maintaining recovery outside of treatment. There are also regular check-ins, family sessions, and additional support whenever needed. Another thing that made my experience so special was the range of supportive activities available. In addition to traditional therapy, Reflections offers outings, sound baths, art therapy, music therapy, massages, salon visits, equine therapy, meditation, and numerous recovery meetings. These experiences provide additional tools for healing and introduce healthy activities that can continue to be incorporated into life after treatment. Visitation is also available, allowing clients to maintain meaningful connections with their loved ones throughout the process. The personal chefs are another incredible part of the experience. Meals are high quality, thoughtfully prepared, and customized around individual dietary needs and restrictions. Every detail of the environment is designed to make clients feel safe, comfortable, supported, and cared for. I would wholeheartedly recommend Reflections to anyone seeking help with recovery, whether it is their first experience with treatment or they have been through treatment before. The entire team approaches their work with an extraordinary amount of care, empathy, patience, and compassion. Most importantly, I truly felt that the focus was always on the individual client — not simply getting through a program, but helping each person build the foundation and tools necessary for a successful future. I am incredibly grateful for the care and support I received at Reflections and Simmons. For anyone struggling or considering seeking help, taking that first step can be incredibly difficult, but I believe Reflections provides an environment where you can feel safe, supported, respected, and genuinely cared for throughout the process. Y J 2 weeks ago I spent three months in Reflections' inpatient program followed by six months in their outpatient program, and I can say without hesitation that it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. The level of professionalism, compassion, and clinical expertise provided by every member of the team is truly world-class. In my opinion, Reflections sets the gold standard for addiction treatment. If you fully commit to the program, embrace the guidance of the staff, and continue your recovery by participating in support groups such as AA or NA after treatment, I genuinely believe you will give yourself the greatest possible opportunity to achieve lasting sobriety. I arrived at Reflections completely broken by addiction. I left with something I had not felt in a very long time—hope. More importantly, I left with the strength, courage, confidence, and tools necessary to build a new life. Today, I have been sober from the hard drugs of my choice for many years, and there are no words that can adequately express my gratitude to the incredible team that helped make that possible. The accommodations are exceptional. The campus is peaceful, immaculate, and thoughtfully designed to promote healing. Several months ago, my brother was in a very dangerous place in his life. It got to the point where we feared for his life on a weekly basis and knew we had to do something urgently. Our family staged an intervention and successfully got my brother to agree to inpatient treatment. After extensive research, I found that Reflections was our best option, and I believe choosing Reflections is a decision that may have saved his life. From the very first phone call I had with program director Olejan, I felt a level of genuine care, intelligence, nuance, and humanity that Olejan brought to our conversations. He wasn't trying to sell us the program or anything like that. We had heart-to-heart conversations that made me feel like Reflections would be our partner in my brother's recovery. I felt confident in the credentialed clinical team they have there with Dr. Hanna, and reassured that the level of care my brother would receive would be top-notch, with more one-to-one therapeutic care than what most inpatient treatment centers could offer in Los Angeles. My brother's main therapist at Reflections was Stewart Bryant, and they formed an amazing relationship that my brother cherished during his stay. Week by week I would check in with my brother while he was at Reflections, and just hearing him progressively become more clear-headed, alert, deeply reflecting, emotionally available and vulnerable and willing to speak about everything, working through foundational issues in his life, being more optimistic and committed to his sobriety - it was so profoundly encouraging to see the signs of his work at Reflections really taking root. To any family member reading this while desperately searching for the right place for someone you love: Reflections was an amazing option and I highly recommend you reach out and speak to Olejan who will wholeheartedly address any concerns you may have about Reflections being a good match for your family member in need of treatment. A lot of the negative reviews here seem to come from people who expect results without consistency, honesty, or responsibility. Recovery is not easy, and no clinic can do the work for you if you are still trying to manipulate the system instead of change your life. From my experience, the staff here have always been respectful, supportive, encouraging, and available whenever possible. At the same time, people need to understand that counselors, nurses, and staff members are dealing with many patients every single day — including individuals who repeatedly miss appointments, ignore expectations, or waste the time and energy of people who are genuinely trying to help them. Staff members are human too, and I think many of the complaints fail to recognize the amount of patience required to work in this environment day after day. What stands out the most to me is that this clinic encourages actual recovery and accountability instead of simply handing out medication and sending people on their way. If you consistently show up, communicate honestly, and take your sobriety seriously, the support is absolutely there. I also want to specifically recognize the director, Kim, because she is honestly one of the most compassionate, respectful, genuine human beings I have ever met. The amount of patience, understanding, and support she gives to people — even during difficult situations — deserves recognition. She has played a huge role in my recovery journey and continues to support people however she can, even when she does not have to. Running a program like this cannot be easy, especially while dealing with so many different personalities and situations, but she continues to show professionalism, empathy, and strength every day. At the end of the day, recovery only works when the individual decides they are truly ready. No program is perfect, but in my experience, the people working here genuinely care about those who are serious about changing their lives.
