I knew I wasn't going to talk to him again really if you're going to be a therapist you can't tell someone that what there saying isn't true. I didn't respect that about that man because I been through a lot I wonder why he is a therapist there. He doesn't even know me but he made it seem like I was lying about what happened to me in my pass.And it seemed like he had selective hearing like I was talking to myself. I think they need to replace that man and I pray that financially that cedar House stays open for many more years to come. I'm 35 years old I can't program with other man that are focused on the same things of the passed it's more reasons why I left and the programing we were talking about sex I think we should be programing talking recovery and making right decisions and staying away from people of our pass.they could had programs about that when I left I only went to one program that was talking about sex I'm just talking about what I seen on the first program. but to each its on they have to make some things up to make sure everyone is busy if you stay busy in there is no idol time so I understand.im focused on spirituality and .starting this automotive course at chaffey in the summer I'm already signed up and getting in Na Aa meetings I want this better sober life with or without a program God bless you all. This center is beautiful within itself being at the top in the mountains with nature and wildlife surrounding. I’ve read a few negative reviews here and from my experience, these are petty complains due to certain persons just not getting their overly unrealistic expectations met but for the average respectable person who knows when in rehab and during detox, there are always times where one feels badly, however this is not the recovery centers fault, it’s just the nature of detoxing and learning coping skills and dealing with personal addictive habits, codependencies, and traumas. I’m interested in seeing how they improve these things in the future and will definitely stay in touch, for being my first time in a treatment program overall was a GREAT experience and will and well as am VERY GRATEFUL and this place saved my life. Ray and Ceaser as well as Aida Kailey and Tim had a HUGE impact in my recovery and for the other support staff LVN Jose, Nate, Sean, Corky, Melissa and Andy are all VERY AWESOME and genuine and REALLY deserve to have a say in the future improvements and coardination of curriculum going forward. I have a condition which requires a medication that is a stimulant but while I was under care here, I could not get the medication that I needed. I would also like to recognize the volunteers who assisted us during our stay. Their friendliness, willingness to help, and positive attitudes made the environment feel more welcoming. The cleaning and environmental services staff also deserve recognition. They were respectful, professional, and considerate whenever they entered the room. Angela is especially good at her job and has years of wisdom and experience within treatment. You won’t be magically cured after leaving here tho, what you put in is what u get out of it. Tanner Fair 1 year ago If you’re really serious about changing your life around then this place is where you need to be. You can bring your pets and they accept couples. The staff here are all amazing and willing to help whenever you ask for help. The chefs: Tiffany and Mike really get down and make some really delicious meals for breakfast lunch and dinner. The nurses Michelle and Amy make sure you take your meds whenever needed and also make check in with you every morning to see if your having withdrawal symptoms such as night terrors, using dreams, tremors, anxiety, depression, all that stuff that you don’t want to feel when you’re withdrawing and they make sure you are prescribed the right meds to prevent all those things. The case workers Alejandra and Angela work above and beyond to make sure everything you need is taken care of. Angela is also the educator and teaches some really informative group classes that help you understand your disease. And the rest of the staff are all amazing and I’m really going to miss all of you! Claudia and Valerie are really sweet and kind and funny. I always looked forward to seeing them at the facility. Dan and RayRay and Joe are all very personable and will give you some of the best advice and it’s only up to you to decide if you wanna take it and run with it. Steve thank you for bringing my partner and I to court on your day off. Banchi is the sweetest person in the entire universe and you made me smile so much and being sober made me appreciate any smiles I got from the staff here. I have been a patient here for more years than I care to admit. With that ive seen alot. Is this a perfect solution to opiate addiction? That depends on you and the program you want to work. The staff that are there for you are really good people and they will treat you how you treat them. The front desk ladies, Melissa and Alexis are Angels, they work soo hard to make sure your patient experience is as comfortable as possible,both of them go above and beyond to help us patients. The counseling staff i only really know my counselor, and thats because this place does have a "revolving" door of counselors. I won't go into the company politics but the case load, the work and the overall stuff they have to do in the time they have is just impossible and they just get burned out really fast and split. My counselor im blessed to have. My counselor has been at this clinic for way more years than I have and she is amazing. I have seen her console the most desperate person in they're most time of desperation, ive also seen her stop a 6 foot 4, 300lbs man from completely busting the place up and bringing him to tears. My counselor has helped me more times than I can count, she is my second counselor, but she had helped me with my Son and his learning difficulties. Unfortunately my son grew up at the clinic, he used to come with me to my counseling sessions with my first counselor and watch movies on his portable DVD player while I had my sessions. While I feel regret with my Son growing up in a place like this, but my son is now an amazing hard working adult, who has never done any kind of drugs and dosen't even drink alcohol. I've been honest with my Son about my addiction issues and he grew up seeing addicts on the street, at the clinic and 1 even being his Dad, he has seen what addiction does. He has also seen that recovery is definitely possible. Overall is Riverside Treatment Center a perfect place? Nope. People have bad days, addicts want instant gratification either with drugs or service, are there some individuals who will provide you a fix? Sure there is, but thats up to you. Do you want to get clean off of Street drugs? Then go and work an honest program at the clinic, but if your not ready then those people will be there waiting for you whether at the clinic or your neighborhood corner. I will say that being i have take home meds, I dont hang around this place much anymore. And from what I have seen alot of the street activity has cleared up a bit. The location plays a huge roll in the negative people that can be around the clinic. This area is a breeding ground for drug activity and with a methadone clinic smack dab in the middle of this area, your going to have this kind of activity. The clinic can only keep its area clear of that stuff, they can't control the bus stops and fast food areas of activity, thats up to us as patients working a program. This place was my saving grace, and gave me a second chance in life. I lost my kids due to drugs, and because of GHW, I was able to get on the right track back to having them home with me again. Gibson House for Women gave me my life back! My counselor, Danielle, was and will always be my angel. She had my back from day 1, and was always on top of things. All of the counselors are amazing - they all really do care and most have been down the same roads so they know what you're going through. I was housed with 30 other woman here, and every single one of them became my sober sisters - the most incredible group of women I've ever met iny life. We all had each other to lean on during those times of hardship, and comfort was always there. This place truly is magical, and I can't thank GHW, and the women I went through treatment with enough for everything they've done for me. It was a miracle I ended up here, and the program wasn't exactly easy, but I needed their strict structure at the time, and am so grateful for it. My advice to anyone reading this is STICK WITH IT!
