Desert Willow Wellness Review My experience at Desert Willow Wellness was truly unique. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I was in a place that was designed not just for recovery, but for healing, growth, and rebuilding. The beautiful grounds, comfortable casitas, and peaceful setting created an environment that felt welcoming and restorative rather than clinical. What stood out most was the people. The staff are exceptional—knowledgeable, compassionate, and genuinely invested in each client’s journey. The small staff-to-client ratio allows for a level of personal attention and connection that is rare in recovery programs. I never felt like just another person in a program; I felt seen, supported, and understood. The holistic approach at Desert Willow Wellness goes far beyond traditional recovery. The combination of expert guidance, thoughtful programming, outside speakers, and opportunities for personal reflection created an experience that challenged me intellectually, emotionally, and personally. The ability to participate in off-site activities like hikes, meetings, gym visits, and local dining also helped bring a sense of normalcy and connection to the recovery process. The leadership team and entire staff have built something special—a recovery environment that is warm, engaging, and deeply committed to helping people change their lives. Desert Willow Wellness provided me with not only tools for recovery, but also a renewed sense of possibility and confidence for the future. I’m grateful for the experience, the people I met, and the care I received. Desert Willow is truly a special place.

As the founders of True North SC, we work closely with treatment providers and understand how important communication, clinical excellence, and genuine compassion are when entrusting someone to a program. We recently had the opportunity to place a client at Desert Willow Wellness and our experience was exceptional. From the beginning, their team was responsive, communicative, and truly collaborative. We always felt informed about our client’s progress and knew they were being cared for by people who genuinely had their best interests at heart. What stood out most was the level of individualized attention and care. Recovery is not one-size-fits-all, and it was evident that the team at Desert Willow Wellness takes the time to understand each person’s unique needs and provide thoughtful, client-centered support. We are grateful to have trusted partners like Desert Willow Wellness in the recovery community and would confidently refer future clients to their program. Thank you to the entire team for the incredible work you do.

A wonderful place with a compassionate, professional and caring staff. Entera Cathedral City is in a perfect location that feels safe and has everything recovery that is needed nearby. I would recommend Entera to any one needing a sober living facility who is looking for coping tools/classes and mentorship along with a wonderful fellowship. Being held accountable while being able to ask for help were important factors for me. My experience with Entera was that the staff are very passionate about recovery and respectful of every one no matter where they are on their journey.

The place is super nice and very clean and presentable. The grounds are very clean and welcoming for everyone to congregate in. The pool is always clean and refreshing. The weekly meetings are positive and helpful. The life coach is amazing and he remembers everyone's names. That always stands out to me when someone remembers my name. If you run a good program and work hard you will get a lot out of your stay at Entera. If you don't you will not last long. The bad ones weed themselves out quickly.

The staff at Banyan Palm Springs is amazing: the caseload managers, therapists, group facilitators, and staff. The BHTs, cleaning personal, maintenance crew, and kitchen staff took a personal interest in my recovery and with my aftercare plan. My amazing team at Banyan included Ebony as my caseload manager, and Katrina as my therapist. John, the administrator of the treatment center is present almost daily and he follows through as did the rest of my team and other faculty associates. Jeff facilitates using research based, empirical experiences, and humor for his morning group. Nick who works in the maintenance department was an influential figure during my full stay. Adventures with Mark are new experiences that recondition the mind that living sober / clean is uber fun. If an addict has the desire to live clean / sober, this is treatment center for you.

Banyan saved my life. They call you a client, but i felt like family there. The entire staff is understanding, compassionate, and helpful. The BHT’s Victor, Adriana, Samatha, Sylvia Ms. Shirly, Jenn and the rest are some of the best people I’ve ever met. My therapist Katrina helped me with all of my issues and trauma. She helped me find the person I’ve been longing to be for so long. My case manager Ebony helped with all my legal troubles, applying for disability, and setting up after care. She’s a person who you can talk to, and anything you need she helps whole heartedly. Ebony and Katrina are true angels! Jeff’s morning intention helps you start the day with positive thoughts. Jan and Angie are wonderful people. They do acts of kindness because they are caring individuals.Even Elise and John who have the same roles as Katrina and Ebony made an impact on me, and I wasn’t in their groups. The kitchen staff works hard to make delicious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. On top of keeping snacks and salad bar fully stocked. The also make sure dietary need for clients with allergies, or special diets needs are met. The go above and beyond. The house keeping staff are some of sweetest ladies. They also work very hard to make sure common areas are clean, fresh clean towels & bed sheets when needed, clean floors and bathroom in all the bedrooms. The driver Alberto, Nick and the rest of maintenance personnel are awesome! They will stop and say hello and will ask you about your day. Mackenzie will also ask about your day and has great advice. And you can talk sports with him. Director of operations Johnny is always there for anyone that needs him, even with all the workload he has on his hands. Truly everyone from top to bottom will make an effort to make your time at Banyan the best experience for recovery. They will work with if your work with them, but most importantly work on Yourself. As I’m writing this on my way to the outside world I have a bitter sweet feeling. But I feel confident of my recovery. I’ve been given so many tools, coping skills, and examples of sober fun. And it’s because of Banyan and their amazing staff. Everything the do no matter how small is because they care. Thank you Banyan, the man that walked through the doors is not the same man that walked out. Love you all!

I arrived at Phoenix Rising ranch on Feb 4th,2026. I was a wreck. Almost immediately I was adopted by other " patients", and made to feel safe. The staff was helpful and supportive. My self loathing was HUGE, but only took 2 weeks for me to settle down. The combination of military and civilian was perfect, for me. I was able, and have maintained, to plant my feet firmly again. It's been almost 5 months since I had alcohol, the longest since I was 5 years old. It's amazing. I'll be forever grateful to 🐦‍🔥, not just for the sobriety, but for the caring.

*October 2025: My first time getting help & going to a recovery center, everything about Hemet Valley Recovery Center was welcoming, transparent & beyond my expectations. HVRC saved my life & has helped me find my life purpose again. *Initial phone call: Medicare availability & insurance requirements checked. Told to bring my own pillow & blanket & scheduled for a driver pick-up. *Drive to facility & intake: Donnie answered all of my general questions w/ a calm drive. I walked through the intake forms, insurance paperwork, general overview of detox & expectations of the program. *Detox: Supportive Dr. Raja, skilled nursing staff, hospital meals tailored to my nutritional needs & wants, a room to sleep, heal & detoxify my body, I felt confident on my recovery journey. Proximity to the ER is a plus if I needed a higher level of care due to complex medical issues. *Counselors: All patients are assigned a counselor. Check-ins on individual situations & progress of your rehabilitation process. They are kind, compassionate & loving humans. *Classes: Daily schedules have a variety of holistic rehabilitation classes. Lectures, experiential groups, healthy lifestyles, meditations, yoga, Native American circles, NA/AA meetings, recovery planning, Men & Women’s groups, Just for Today talks, arts & crafts, HVRC has it. Hands down the best learning experience I have ever done (& continue in my personal recovery plan) was “Pain Group” w/ Sherry Burditt, RN, HN-BC (AHNA Board Certified Holistic Nurse) for 5 weeks. A progressive learning experience allowed me to use self-discovery, emotional healing & spiritual growth to face past demons, learn about my own energy (Chakras) & love myself again. *HVRC Community: For nearly 90 days, I was immersed in the HVRC family. People you share your days & nights with, along with your thoughts, feelings, assignments & food, to the nursing staff, counselors, administrative staff, drivers, the house senior residents/house managers to daily HVRC volunteers, people are supportive, kind & are there to do what is best for mankind: sustain an environment of caring, client-first vibes. *PHP (partial-hospital patients): Having lived in both female houses, they both provide a calm & healing environment. I have fond memories of rides full of people to & from the center, trips to the ATM or appointments, NA & AA meetings & Soboba’s talking circle. *Outings: Nails/pedicures/haircuts, AA meetings, doctor appointments/imaging, ATM, Soboba talking circle. *Family Weekend: AMAZING experience. Run by Lisa, it is a weekend of family & loved ones learning about addiction. Not just the disease itself, but how to support their loved one in & out of treatment, expectations of their loved one coming home, & a session for me & my family to start the healing process. *Continuing care & Alumni meetings: Thursday nights: an in-person continuing care program that supports HVRC alumni. Counselors offer support in multiple ways. Next is the Alumni in-person/Zoom AA/NA meeting. A great night for a meeting & connecting with so many others who are going through the same thing that I am: staying clean & sober. *HVRC Alumni events: President Jeff does a GREAT job sharing where the donated money goes. Helping clients with prescriptions, housing & other necessities, to fun things for clients & staff with auction baskets, sit-down dinners, arts & crafts, hiding Easter eggs & Sam the Leprechaun, supplying treats to buy at the Alumni store, cookouts, individual gifts, Veteran recognitions, & more!! HVRC Alumni is a space for us to stay connected by volunteering, supplying resources or giving money year-round. *I just can’t say enough good things about my recovery & experience from Hemet Valley Recovery Center. Just celebrated 6 months. I thank both my Higher Power & HVRC for being clean & sober today. As Nike says: “Just Do It”. You’ll save your life or someone else’s. Hugs & blessings from a proud recovering client, Teresa

I entered the residential unit of the Betty Ford for my opioid addiction after a brief stay in detox, as I had already detoxed at home. I found the accommodations to be nice and adequate, but not luxury, more like a nice dorm with a meeting area and kitchen. We had mostly 2 to a room and a patio area. The oversight was there, but not overbearing. The staff are so nice and caring; from the techs to nursing, the instructors, counselors and even the cafeteria staff. After 3 weeks in residential I moved to PHP, which is a great intensive learning environment. I live nearby so I went home, but many people go to Daisy Lane, which is a nice housing site for sober living. After PHP, there is another step down to IOP, which I intend to go to as well to complete my treatment. The grounds are just beautiful with lush green grass against a backdrop of gorgeous mountains. The cafeteria is great with a variety of fresh foods and daily changing salad bar. I have really enjoyed my stay and experience here and I have been clean and sober for over 60 days now. Betty Ford has saved my life and I never want to go back to drugs and alcohol again.

SolutionPoint Behavioral Health in Rancho Mirage, California provides inpatient detox services for substances like alcohol, benzodiazepines, cocaine, methamphetamines, and opioids. Residential treatment is also available if you need short term rehabilitation support for your substance use. We are impressed by their utilization of safe medications l
GREAT program that focuses on small group and one on one therapy sessions with the privacy of a bedroom with no roommates to decompress and process the daily topics on your own with some private time. The staff, personal chefs, yoga master, and mineral baths are top notch and provide personal care that is catered to you uniquely. The only thing I would fix if I had a magic wand would be a gym facility and cold plunge tub onsite to help shift your state of mind and get in a good work out any time of day or night.

Mental Health Program: I cannot say enough wonderful things about this IOP program. I came here during the hardest and darkest time of my life, and I truly don’t know where I’d be without them. My therapist was absolutely life-changing. Every group felt intentional and was tailored to what the clients needed that day instead of following a rigid plan. I always felt heard, understood, and supported. What also stood out was how deeply every staff member cared. From the leadership team to the front desk, everyone knew my name, remembered things about me, and genuinely cared about how I was doing. During my hardest moments, someone was always there to check in, sit with me, and remind me that I wasn’t alone. The little things mattered too. They made sure we had snacks whenever we needed them and even provided lunch every day, allowing us to focus completely on our healing. This program didn’t just help me through the hardest season of my life—they walked through it with me. They treated me with compassion, dignity, and genuine care every step of the way. I will be forever grateful to every single person who was part of my journey. If you’re considering treatment here, know that you will be surrounded by people who truly care and are committed to helping you heal.

I love these guys like family! Marcy and the Doc were both extremely influential on my continuing recovery. The inclusiveness of the groups and tailored services are determined to fit the needs of the clients. I really miss these guys but I have moved to Colorado and have rebuilt a happy and successful new life. I stay grateful and connected to my higher power. Great place to address addiction and mental health. Most recently we went on a spiritual hike in Indian Canyon that was fantastic. The photo is from the top of the trail. The people here are caring and knowledgeable. Your treated with dignity. I came here straight from inpatient treatment at ABC. Definitely has had a great impact on my recovery. You are taken through an assortment of methods that address addiction and mental health. There is alot of unity here. Definitely recommend.

The Morongo Indian Health Clinic gave me wonderful, supportive care, for both dentistry as well as doctor's visits. I was very lucky to be able to visit them during a period of unemployment. I am doing much better now, but will never forget how good the Healthcare I received here was, when I needed it most. If I move back to California, I would move to this area just to be close to this wonderful facility. Thank you Morongo Health Clinic!

I love MFI Recovery. From the moment I started this program it has been nothing but a blessing. The staff there has been so supportive ,caring, and motivating. Their ability to cater to each of the individual needs of all the people that attend classes there is incredible. Tho I am not blood related to anyone there, I feel as tho I am part of a family that loves and respects me and that truly cares about my success in overcoming my addiction. I would recommend that anyone that is feeling alone or abandoned in their addiction go in to MFI on Tuesday and talk to Jessica. She is so kind and very efficient during the intake process. Once your paperwork is complete and you are assigned a counselor you will see what a great place it is and everyday will be better then the day before. I am so grateful that I decided to enroll here.,

Before I entered ABC Recovery I couldn't even walk on my own. I had to use a walker and was on 3 liters of oxygen 24/7. I could only go 20 yards before having to stop and catch my breath. I started to have seizures and felt like I was on the cusp of death. After one month there I could walk without the walker and was down to only being on oxygen 6 hours a day. They accommodated me by giving me a downstairs room in the courage house because I have congestive heart failure and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Every meal was good if not great, there was never any meal put in front of me that was not edible. The nursing staff never had anything more than a smile when dealing with me and I was a high maintenance client. They made many appointments for me and got me there on time and back with minimum waiting. I had the best counselor Sarah , who played a huge part in saving my life by teaching me coping skills needed to live clean and sober. My county worker was excellent and found me the best sober living that I could ever be placed at. My case manager and family counselor were both extremely helpful. Everyone that works there including the techs really seem like they care. I felt very safe and secure there and was taught a lot and felt a lot of love and care from everyone . Thanks Tim and ABC Recovery for saving my life, literally. Addiction Being Conquered.
