St John of God is now Phoenix House. They just opened their doors after receiving the county contract. This comes after SJOG went out of business. Phoenix House offers inpatient care and medication assisted treatment with medications to help persons reduce the need to use dangerous drugs like fentanyl and begin a new path of recovery.
There is a men’s side and a female side that are separated, each with its drug and alcohol program. Transportation to appointments is provided. There are individual and group counseling sessions, mental health treatment, nursing on site, and a Medical Doctor. They also have case management team to assist the patient receive outside services including housing and for aftercare. They have on site kitchen and dining rooms, laundry, refurbished dorms, meeting and group rooms, a pool, outside gym and recreation yard and various entertainment activities and workshops are done throughout each day.

I came in broken and with no hope to live, my life was in shattered in pieces and i lost sight of my God. After many failed attempts to quit using drugs on my own I decided to accept help and entered into Revival Recovery treatment center. I showed up broken, dope sick, full of resentments, and hopeless. I was desperate to get clean and get my relationship back with the Lord, but I never expected a transformation to take place. The staff were some of the best guys I have ever met. They all had hearts to serve the lord and love others. They welcomed me with open arms and loved me when I couldn’t love myself. They patiently waited for me to let my walls down and expose my heart. I desperately wanted to get closer to the Lord but I couldn’t have imagined the depth of the Journey I was about to go on! It was Truly a life changing experience and I will forever be grateful for all of the people, (counselors, clients, therapists, pastors, and staff) that guided me and walked with me in the Journey. To those of you reading this considering entering a treatment program or looking for help for a loved one I pray that you take some time and seek the Lord for your answers. I absolutely loved this place. The best place to get help and to grow and understand yourself more. I couldn’t have made it where I am today without their help. I am 1 yr and 3 months sober. I am a house manager for a sober living and I work in a detox facility as well. I am doing things I never thought possible for myself, let alone being able to manage as much as I do now. I was a patient at DFC rehab facility and recently graduated. I can say hands down they saved my life . Arlene touched a part of my life and my recovery that I didn’t even know needed healing. She treated me with a kind of respect, patience, and understanding that reminded me of the mother I never had. Chadd — “The General” — made a real impact on me. He’s one of the few people I’ve met who doesn’t just talk recovery… he lives it. Every word he says comes from real experience, real struggles, and real growth. He’s humble, honest, and he treats everyone like equals. Talking to him feels like talking to someone who truly understands what you’re going through.
He never made me feel judged. Instead, he made me feel seen and heard. His wisdom hits deep because you know it’s coming from someone who’s walked the same road. If he ever wrote a book about his life, I swear it would inspire so many people.
McCarty House is stronger because of him. A lot of people find success there because of the way he shows up for others. I’m grateful I crossed paths with him during my recovery. He helped me more than he probably knows.

I tried over and over to get clean and stay clean, when I came to hathaway it was my last chance, my family wanted nothing more to do with me. I went to Hathaway for detox and ended up staying 90days. The gratitude I have for Hathaway is never ending, the amazing support of the staff and follow through with my treatment therapy and counseling was what I really needed to help me with my trauma and get my life back. I am very happy with the treatment I received at Hathaway. The staff and therapist care about you and I think that’s number one when choosing a place to recover. The therapists are top-notch!!! The amount I learned in the 2 months I spent was incredible. I wasn’t a huge believer in group therapy before I came but the impact it had on me will last a lifetime. I had some ups and downs in treatment but overall my experience was wonderful and any complaints I have are minute compared to what I am able to take away. They invest in what matters.
It’s also a beautiful location and the view of the mountains is absolutely gorgeous. The outings were super fun and they made my birthday super special
If you have a desire to stop using or have co-occurring disorders this is the place to go. As long as you have an open mind and are honest I believe Hathaway will be extremely beneficial

Hathaway has saved my family. Before we found Hathaway my daughter was suffering with addiction however once we came to this facility the staff took her in and she felt comfortable and by a couple months she was ready to come back home fully recovered. I came here for courtesy dose in August and again in November. They are great there! If I move out here this is the clinic I definitely would go here.The price for just 7 days of methadone was $140!! This is the 2 nd time I paid this price for a week. We don’t have much money we are trying to get our lives back and this is a life or death medication for us.
The methadone is way overpriced here, while it is not an expensive drug from the pharmacy.

I went through IVRS in May of 2020 and I was a complete mess. Drugs and alcohol were how I coped with the emotional distress I had been long experiencing and during my time at IVRS the staff, the structure, and the atmosphere provided me with an atmosphere that I could make a lasting change. Today, I am not just sober; I am at happy & at peace. I don't miss the days I used to abuse drugs/alcohol and that is an absolute miracle. I am so grateful for the staff that dedicated their lives and careers to being of service to those struggling with addiction. I hope that the staff knows how much of a difference that they are making in the lives of those that enter treatment.

I was in the youth program & the food was disgusting. Not every meal was bad though. The supervisors suck they sit in their office and gossip all day the kids new all the drama. Even when the supervisors would come to the dinning when staff was on breaks they just be on their phones gossiping. It was so weird but the staff was real cool Sherice was chill Aryka would hold you accountable for your shit which I liked Adrian let you do whatever you wanted Julie was sweet too. Overall staff cool you can tell they work there cause they care but supervisors need to go

My sister has visited the Tarzana Treatment Center multiple times, each visit offering comprehensive support as it is a fully integrated healthcare organization. I have been in and out of rehab for years. I never thought I would recover, thankfully because of Serenity Lodge I can say that I am clean today. I never go around writing reviews, but you guys saved my life. All around from the people who you get to speak to that do your intake to the staff at the facility I was welcomed with open arms and taken care of from the start. Walking into my bedroom I felt at home for the first time in years, I have never laid my head in such a beautiful place, I had a room to myself, a spacious bathroom and a place to put my clothes away. I will end my review on this; most rehabs can be a little run down but not this place. The photos on their website do not this place justice. From the outdoor area to the indoor area everything is amazing and even without all of that the program itself that Serenity lodge offers saves lives!

If i could make it a 10 star rating i would. The whole team cared and made everything so easy from getting there to medical care and home again. Their knowlege and hospitality exceeded far beyond my expectation. A peacful and comfortable enviornmant. The teaching method really works and gave me the tools that will forever help me in the world ahead.

This program has changed my life completely! Ramona leads an incredible program, the entire treatment from start to finish was thorough and well thought out. The therapists, Xavier, Maggy, and Ghazeleh showed grace, empathy, care, and genuine compassion to every single patient. I was fortunate enough to have Paola, the clinical therapist lead, as my main therapist and we uncovered years of traumatic experiences I was not ready to face. I will forever recommend this program to anyone in need and look forward to the after care they offer after completing this program!

I stayed in the adult section (unit 300) for 5 days. It was a good experience overall, even with a couple scary moments from other patients. The food was good, the patients were sweet, and the staff was on top of things. The only issue I had with this place is I believe they need more Spanish speaking staff on the floor and more phones available. Overall, I feel like everyone was treated fairly and I liked the activities that they had for us.
