This place was great, I had a wonderful experience. It's low client, great staff and a safe place for when you truly need it. I specifically enjoyed the low client aspect of it. The groups feel personal and urges you to share and process things once you are done detoxing. Plus the house is beautiful and the property sits on top of a hill far away from any distractions so it is as quiet as North County SD can get. The owner is genuine and cares for your sobriety. Thank you restore and thank you Steven!

Wow, I am so grateful for Restore and the incredible team and their unconditional love! The home is beautiful and the view breathtaking, but the care, connection and joy of the team are the pillars of Restore.
I have been to dozens of detox and treatments centers over the last 10 years and Restore is the first place that has helped me get to the heart of the matter- I cannot recover alone. Restore taught me how to work a simple AA program, give my fears away to my god, and speak my truth authentically to connect with others. Restore's program supported my recovery in all facets- mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. And one of the most amazing parts that NO other place offers- it is welcoming FOREVER to alumni! Steven's house meetings are the most powerful tool in my recovery toolbox. I go to Restore at least 2x a week for house meetings along with other alumni and have the joy of seeing Steven, staff, and alumni at outside AA meetings throughout the week.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, Restore, for teaching me recovery is possible.

I am just so concerned about lead and the bad things it does when we eat it. I think we should make a law to only source our pencil ink (black) from Turkey there's no lead in the Haggis Sophia and they have buildings where it's accumulates and then they turn it into ink such a lovely none lead black ink out of Istanbul (Turkey) 🦃 or at least I wouldn't think it would but don't go around eating pencils or stabbing yourself with a pen idiot those German ones with the casing in plastic is how the hospital ones came in Niagara Falls that you couldn't hurt anything with it although probably not considered edible.

Do Not come to this place if you want to keep your job. I start work at seven and get here at 5:30 and the line is 20 people I don’t get out of here till 7:30 and all I’m getting is my medication. It’s insane. If you want to keep a job don’t come here at all. There’s plenty of other places to get recovery.

If you’re looking for a rehab facility that will really mess with your life, 10 Acre Ranchy is the place for you! Let me walk you through my experience:
First, they decided to play a game of “Let’s Falsify Your Medical Records!” I was diagnosed with an addiction to nearly every drug under the sun. I’ve heard of all of them, sure but I didn’t use all of them. According to their paperwork, I was basically a walking pharmacy. Guess they thought that would make things more interesting for my insurance company.
Next, they told me I couldn’t make phone calls during detox. Later, I found out I was actually allowed one call, according to a document I had signed while severely impaired but no one ever informed me. To make matters worse, they extended my detox by two extra days for no clear reason and didn’t notify my girlfriend, who had already planned a visit. No one told her it was canceled. When she tried calling, she got someone who said he worked remotely, had never even been to the facility, and only handled admissions — he had no clue what was happening at the rehab itself. Apparently, there was no real customer support system in place, which I’m not even sure is legal. At the very least, they could’ve let me make the one allowed call to inform her that visitation was canceled due to the extended detox.
Then came the gonorrhea plot twist — not once, but twice. Mind you, my long-term girlfriend tested negative both times. I’ve never cheated, never tested positive for anything — hell, I’ve been more monogamous than a Disney princess with abandonment issues. But according to the rehab’s ringleader, Dienna — I magically manifested gonorrhea in a place where I had zero sexual contact. What is this, immaculate infection?
They sent me to the ER for gonorrhea treatment. The second time around, I asked the staff to show me the test results three times. Shockingly, no one could find them. But hey, who needs proof when you can just ship someone off to the ER for fun, right? I was mentally impaired enough at the time to go along with it, but later I refused the antibiotics Dienna (the director) tried to force on me. Even sketchier — the second diagnosis and corresponding ER visit didn’t appear in my medical records until I called the lab directly and told them I suspected something fishy. Then the next day, they magically “found” it. Weird, right?
I went to another ER the day after I was discharged to get retested for STDs — and surprise, I never had gonorrhea.
This fake diagnosis almost cost me everything. My girlfriend was looking at me like I’d just raw-dogged a demon, and I’m sitting there trying to explain that it wasn’t infidelity — it was institutional gaslighting with a side of clap cosplay.
At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if I “caught” gonorrhea just by being around Dienna — the same director who seemed more interested in screwing with the patients than running a professional facility. Maybe I didn’t need antibiotics… just a restraining order from the management.
So what was Dienna’s endgame? Break up my relationship? Gaslight me into submission? It felt less like recovery and more like I accidentally wandered into a One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest reboot where Nurse Ratched moonlights as an STD fairy with a god complex.
And the cherry on top? I was promised I wouldn’t have to pay a copay, which was the main reason why I chose to go to this rehab, only to get a surprise bill for nearly $1000. They must’ve used the same honesty policy as their medical records.
Then there was Gary, the therapist, who seemed more interested in hearing himself talk than actually listening to anyone else. During the sessions, he constantly talked over me and dismissed my input. It felt less like therapy and more like a monologue.
To sum it up: bad therapy, false diagnoses, poor communication, surprise billing, and the program director who seems more interested in drama than recovery. Avoid this place unless you’re into emotional chaos and fictional STDs.

JOSE, PETE, MARIO AND NADIA along with every member of the staff is ABSOLUTELY UNDER PAID FOR THE CARE THEY PROVIDE, THEY NOT ONLY LITERALLY SAVED MY LIFE (NO EXAGGERATION) BUT THEY MADE ME FEEL LIKE FAMILY FOR THE SHORT TIME I WAS THERE, I OWE MY LIFE TO THE WHOLE ENTIRE STAFF, if it were not for paradise I know I wouldn't be alive, the words THANK YOU and GREATFUL do NOT suffice what that staff means to me and what they are worth, you have a TEAM OF NOTHING BUT ROCKSTARS THERE THAT GO ABOVE AND WAY BEYOND WHAT THEY NEED TO, THEY NEVER DO THE BARE MINIMUM TO GET BY BUT INSTEAD THEY TREAT YOU LIKE YOU MATTER, LIKE YOUR SOMEONE SPECIAL AND THAT IS PRICELESS, when your a recovering addic you already have no self-esteem, self respect or self worth but the staff helps you not only recover but they also help you get all the self worth, respect and esteem back as well, I could go on forever so I'll leave it with this, PARADISE ISN'T JUST A REHAB / DETOX FACILITY BUT ITS ALSO A PLACE THAT TREATS YOU LIKE YOU MATTER AND AS A ADDIC THAT MEANS EVERYTHING!!! Overall, Brightquest seems to have the potential to be a beautiful place if you make it one and if all those involved (parent, client, referrant, etc) fall under-- to each's own capacity-- a conjoined understanding of what enrolling into the facility truly entails before onboarding.
Top of the Line professionals in terms of medical, psychiatric, directorial staff, and coordinators.
In the San Diego office, administrative advision and onboarding facilitators seemed to be - at a minimum - understaffed, underprepared, rushed... disjointed, disoriented - retaining inconsistent speech and tonal behaviors. First day, as most everyone will tell you, is definitely whiplashy; so be prepared.
Most, if not all therapists are pretty fantastic, though there's a healthy sprinkling that will likely benefit from more seasoning or better balance when it comes to working with the clientele that comes through the facility--especially considering the severity of what Brightquest's treatment plans offer.
Resolution could see steps towards improvement with a simple forum on situational and environmental threats, could addtly. benefit from the inclusion of more proactive superiors. (aside from weekly staff meetings which seem to not be too productive, I really just believe there should be a massive overhaul/addition to supervising faculty, or an increase in physical foot traction of prior mentioned superiors, wherever they're holding these mystery figures. Yes, it is true from what I've read in other reviews that plenty key players are conveniently often on vacation. Website also needs an update.)
I definitely think that clients should have a say in who they work with throughout their time in treatment, if afforded the luxury-- e.g. building or altering their own teams. The option of choice and communication does so much for clients in a space with inconsistent, often seemingly unclear boundaries and assistance. Also, on the DEI note, not very accommodating in terms of practicing religion.
Last and certainly MOST important. If at this point you have any retainer hesitations-- great resources, work study programming, activities, group sessions, and residential function is a very intelligent, strategic layout. Each individual playing a hand in house management, whether that be house managers themselves, night staff, or especially nurse Theresa (who is working 24/7!) are diamonds in the rough of it all.
At the end of a long day, throughout any level, at Brightquest (with the right treatment and mentality) you can fall on the network you've built for yourself within the community there. I truly do hope to see the team at BQ San Diego weed out some of the bad parts, as there is so much light and an outpouring of love and friendship in the work done there.

I was referred to Revive from Grossmont Medical to obtain continuity of care due to our rapid, out of state return to California. Addiction-related services at MHS – ACTION East include mental health assessments, intensive outpatient d | Treatments Programs Payment Options | There is no better dual diagnoses program than what is provided here. I turned to this vervet when I dig myself into bedrock and ready to drill even further. I had no hope for help, but so dying as I was, I gave life one more chance.
I was seen immediately and had a treatment plan developed that suited my needs and interests rather than some prescribed formula. The only challenge I faced was the motivation to show up. After a short amount of time, there was nowhere else I wanted to be than the clinic.
The sessions taught me how to develop emotional intelligence, get services I needed to thrive, and get my life where I wanted it. Working on myself became a wonderful and fun journey rather than just something to appease my family.
Over time, my mental health began to stabilize, I found sobriety, and I engaged with my spiritual parts. Today, I have been reintegrated with my wife, children, and employment. Everything I was willing to sacrifice for my selfishness became nothing compared to what I got from sobriety. I will forever be thankful for MHS. Without them, I would either be in jail, an institution, or a cemetery.

My daughter got paired with Brenda, never got her last name. But she was extremely quiet and had zero communication skills. She reported me to CPS twice for making my daughter -clean her room-. I requested family therapy after that. After I spoke to Brenda about starting “family therapy” between my daughter and I, she dropped my daughter as a client. Very unprofessional and she should get proper training.
