This Rehab facility was absolutely life-changing for me. There are so many great things I could list about this place. The staff were knowledgeable, compassionate, friendly and MOST of all: EXTREMELY accommodating and understanding with requests. The house was located in a quiet and peaceful residential neighborhood with absolute stunning views overlooking the ocean. The fun activities and experiences/outings were extremely helpful coping skills for my mental health and cravings.At Laguna View Detox it is evident that the staff care about you from the time you walk in the front door.I would like to point out that while this experience was amazing, there are a couple of things I would like to point out as areas for growth and improvement.1. Food - the food was sub-par in my humble opinion. While they do cater to dietary restrictions and allergies, there were many occasions that felt like the same food was repetitive, less-healthy, and lacked the right amount to serve everyone to their satisfaction.It would have been nice to maybe have the option for meal prep or an activity cooking course to teach people the skill and value in cooking together as well as considering a part-time chef position to develop those skills in staff and clients alike.2. Staff/clients - While 90% of the staff/clients were absolutely amazing, there were a couple that maybe could ve brought more value to the table or fulfilled their duties so others wouldn t have to suffer the consequences. It s not fair nor realistic to expect perfection from everyone but it is possible to differentiate those that are there to just collect a paycheck or take advantage of the care the system provides.These problems will undoubtedly always arise in every work environment and company alike thus should be expected time to time. The higher management can hopefully take more proactive measures to prevent the house becoming a toxic environment as well as addressing the problems at the core of the individuals.Once again I would highly recommend this place to anyone seriously committed to attaining a peaceful and healthy life of sobriety. I am forever indebted and grateful to LVD for my experience. I am also proud of myself for making the best of this opportunity and utilizing all the tools, skills and knowledge taught from the wise and relatable staff.I have made life-long friends, relationships, coping skills and knowledge that I will carry throughput my lifetime toward sobriety. I would give 10 stars if I could. I called the number on their webpage in the early morning on a Sunday and their director of intake, T.J. answered . He listened to me try to explain the nightmare I m living in with my son and he made me feel so much more calm and I felt as if I was talking to a friend or family. It was amazing. He found my son a place in their facility right away and explained the process and what to expect, even sharing his own experiences. I have never dealt with this before so I had a lot of catching up to do and I was literally in the midst of a serious crisis with my son which is already enough. I don t think I could ve handled this situation without the patience and support everyone at Laguna Detox but especially T.J. offered me. Unfortunately our insurance declined us in the 11th hour which was petrifying, but TJ called me himself and gave me a handful of alternative places and helped me call them and check for availability. What a difference that made. TJ ended up finding the best alternative in our area and hours later I had my son in their care and he s getting the attention and care he deserves and I can finally take a deep sigh of relief. TJ reached out throughout the entire process giving us his support and care and even checked in a couple days into my sons treatment to see how we were doing. TJ is one of those humans you pray for when you or anyone you love is in a crisis. Just a gem! Thank you TJ and Laguna Detox, I appreciate you and would recommend you to anyone.

Withdrawals suck, but Oceanfront provided me with the correct medications to help me feel as comfortable as possible while I ease in. Additionally their staff is all well trained and knowledgeable. My experience at Oceanfront Recovery has been truly transformative. From the moment I arrived, I was met with a supportive and compassionate environment that has been both stimulating and engaging. The beautiful location provided a perfect backdrop for healing, and the holistic approach to recovery offered me countless opportunities for growth. The staff has been absolutely amazing; special thanks to Cody, Wyatt, Cassie, Madeline, Sean, and David, who have each played a pivotal role in my journey. A special thanks to my therapists and counselors for both group and one-on-one sessions, especially Ernesto and Matt truly fantastic people. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and cared for. Having a private room was a huge plus it gave me the personal space I needed to focus on my recovery while still managing my work and school. The fact that I could use my phone and laptop was incredibly helpful, allowing me to stay connected and on top of everything while receiving the care I needed.The staff were incredible not only professional but genuinely caring. They treated me like a friend, making the whole experience feel much more comfortable. The facility itself is very comfy. Plus, there were plenty of fun outings that kept me active and distracted in the best way possible.If you're looking for a place where you can focus on recovery while still maintaining your responsibilities, I can t recommend this place enough!

I had the privilege of going through detox at this facility. To say this place is awesome is an understatement. They sincerely care about your well being and health. It's a small facility so they can spend more individual time with the residents. They cater three amazing meals a day along with snacks 24/7. I went there in November of 2024 because I was desperate to get help. They were very helpful with getting me there, checking with me before I got there, and making sure I didn't change my mind about going (as most of us do when It comes to getting sober). I had an awesome time there, the staff was great (they had their off days, as us alcoholics/addicts do). We were busy most all day every day. They take you to the gym 3x a week, they do panels, and outside meetings as well. The facility itself is clean, there's laundry machines, snacks & coffee on deck 24/7, they take you to the vape shop and wal mart once a week, and they are working on more outside activities. There were tvs and DVD players in every unit with a TON of dvds. No bed time so you are free to roam around the facility or chill and watch TV. The groups got a little boring (but if you are with a good group of guys they are a lot of fun and informative). The way insurance and every thing works was a little frustrating because it's on a weekly basis if you stay on the treatment side or go to phase 2. You are allowed your phone 3x a day for a hour each time. The units are awesome, it is an apartment (if you go try to get into the one above the kitchen on the left haha). Mike who is one of the main dudes is an awesome person! I am currently on day 63 and if it weren't for the lighthouse I would most likely be either dead or in the process of drinking myself to death. If you are in need of help, do the hard thing and ask for it. The money, job, or whatever it is that is keeping you from going won't be there much longer if you continue to do what you're doing. I love you all and hope this helps!

I would like to express my gratitude to the Lighthouse and all the staff who had helped me and guided me. I stayed at the Lighthouse for about 90 days and in that timeframe I was able to receive one on one Care meet with a therapist. All my needs were met. Everyone went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable in a very uncomfortable situation. I am forever grateful for this facility and being there for me at a time when I needed it the most.Thank you, Stephanie and Julie for holding my hands as I walk through those doors!

Tree House is truly an incredible place. My life was changed in so many ways thanks to Tree House and the amazing staff. I love this place with all my heart and the people I got to know during my time there. The structure of the program combined with the camaraderie of the people around you is a match made in heaven. Hands down the best decision I made for myself to save my life. I had no idea what to do with my life as I was spiraling into a seemingly inescapable abyss until I reached out to Treehouse. I had my reservations about going to a place like Treehouse as a member of the LGBTQ+ community but the amount of support and acceptance I received even before I committed to going was incredible. I gained the knowledge and tools that I use on a daily basis that help me live life to the fullest potential. I discovered new things about myself while going through the program by living outside of my comfort zone and allowing myself to try things I never thought I would be interested in. Treehouse was able to create a space where I could explore these new things and create strong bonds with guys that impacted my recovery in the best way possible and gave me a stronger foundation to move forward with my life. The therapy was life changing, shoutout to Chuck and Ryan, they saw something in me that I could not see for myself and helped me bring that out. The coaches were incredible as well, shoutout to Dylan, he taught me so much that went above and beyond physical fitness and weight training. Vechi and Brandon were instrumental in working with me to get me the help that I needed and incredible human beings. Words cannot express how grateful and honored I feel to have gone through and graduated from this program. If you're looking for a place that'll give you the best chance at success in recovery, this is it. You are worth it.

When I first walked through the doors at Treehouse, I was lost, broken, and trapped in a cycle of addiction that I never thought I could escape, Never! I had become a prisoner to alcohol and drugs, and my life was spiraling out of control. The guys at Treehouse, there programs, and there unwavering support, helped me find my way back to the person I was meant to be!At my lowest point, I felt like there was no hope But within the walls of Treehouse, I found Compassion, Understanding, and the TOOLS I needed to fight for my sobriety. Through counseling, support groups, and the kindness of those who had walked this path before me, I learned that I was NOT alone. So 4 outta five is high for me. This place is far from perfect. But if you think there s a perfect treatment center out there, it s time to snap back. Let s be honest, for those of us looking for places like this online, our lives are far from perfect. Typically we re looking for excuses why not to go rather than reasons to go. I never read the reviews because someone always has an ax to grind. Instead of grinding axes, I ll just say this time was different. 6th trip in 2&1/2 yrs to treatment. Places I d rate higher. But it was Windward Way where I was able to find the missing pieces of my puzzle and my hidden secrets that were keeping me sick. You only get out of treatment what you put in. I entered detox with the gift of desperation. It wasn t amenities and luxuries that made the difference. It was a frontline staff that lives and breathes recovery and genuinely cares about the clients. All the BHTs, group facilitators, my therapist, case worker, & med staff pour their souls into this work. Their love and concern overrides any complaints I could muster. I m the hardest of cases. The breath in my lungs is a legion of miracles. But the fact that I m happy joyous and free today is a testament to the effort, care, and concern of people like Mark, Tony, Ottis, Jerald, Sina, Andrew, Saul, Kenny, Andria, Adam, Kelly, Nick, Shaina, Didi, Casa, Thomas, Sarah, Emily, Bryce, John AKA Pouter, Josh, Matt (still got hair envy bro), Gauge, Armand, of course Javon, PA Shapiro (I hope that s right because his management of my PAWS was spot on) and a few other angels whose names allude me at the moment.Go meet them. It just might save your life, family, job, freedom, and/or many other things. Give yourself a break. Check your pride at the door, stop making excuses and let these people show you a better way live. Besides, there are worse places to get clean and sober than Orange County, SoCal!!!What y all thought I wouldn t have good stuff to say?! I m SOBER not stupid. Now anyways. Thanks Windward Way!!!

Anchored Tides is the place for you if you are considering changing you current status with addiction. Thanks to the committed and passionate owners/staff, I now have a completely different life today! I was accepted into this program during the worst time of my life, and they above and beyond to help me repair and regain things that had been lost in my addiction such as HOPE. I'm very grateful for the experience I had with these women and will forever miss them. Consider yourself very lucky to be a part of ATR as the women that go through this program come out on top. I witnessed this through my own experience as well as 6 others that graduated before and after myself! Sobriety is one thing, but having a new outlook on life as you once knew it is another! Anchored Tides played a huge part in helping me get my life back. After numerous treatment centers over several years, I found what I needed at Anchored Tides. Between the one on one therapy, knowledgeable facilitators who taught practical skills, and the supportive staff, I acquired everything that I needed to stay sober. I would recommend this treatment center to any woman who is looking for a safe and credible place to finally get sober. This facility has everything you need to make this your last treatment center. Akua is where I got clean.The staff is very patient and kind. Because of this, I eventually came around to opening my mind more. I didn t want to participate in meetings and put minimal effort in facilitated group on the beginning. Over time, I felt more comfortable and staff shared their struggles and how they overcame it. I felt like I was able to face the destruction of my past and eventually did. The staff was very knowledgeable, caring and accommodating through my early recovery efforts! Plenty of time is made to provide access to the gym, AA/NA meetings, healthy and delicious food, therapy, group sessions, down time and yoga to name a few of the highlights. I had my reservations before enrolling with Akua but by the end of my month-long time there I was sad to have to leave, knowing that I would miss all the staff and clients, as well as the tools they provided me to succeed within my next chapters of the recovery process. I plan to attend their Wednesday AA alumni meetings!

The people at this program took me in at my worst as one of their own, and helped me change my life. The culture they inspire in their clients truly creates a desire for change and healthy decisions. I owe Rich and Andrew everything. Love you guys.

Surf city recovery is a very helpful place and has helped me in my recovery immensely.

I will be forever grateful for Surf City for helping me change my life! Rich, Andrew and all the staff showed me in my lowest point of life that there was a beautiful and different way of life for me as an addict. I came in alone, scared and hopeless and they welcomed me in like they had known me for years. I found a fellowship of people who understood me and actually cared about me and I m so glad to call them all my family now! They prepared me for my return to home and set me up to succeed there. Rich has remained in contact with me after I left to check in and that means so much to me he really cares about his clients and their futures. Anyone who really wants to get sober and stay sober will find their new life here!

When I went to recovery last October I was scared to death. I had no idea what to expect and was in terrible shape. Over the days I felt like I was exactly where I needed to be. The staff was amazing and made me feel so at home. I had the best experience I could possibly have had. I took away so many valuable experiences, and crazy to say...I miss being there some times. I am 40 days sober, as I had a relapse after leaving, but I am on the most amazing journey right now. I have been able to use the tools I achieved at the center to change my life right now. What a great experience I had at South Shores Recovery, from making that first hard core phone call, to flying back home. I can't thank the entire staff enough for getting my life back.

When I first arrived at South Shores in May of this year, I felt truly broken. I was completely disoriented after having traveled cross country and terrified about what would come next. I was in poor shape spiritually, emotionally, and physically, and missed my family desperately.I never expected to find my joy again, but with South Shores' help, I have. The staff were amazing and immediately made me feel safe and helped me adjust to life in treatment. I have been here all together 202 days at the lighthouse, recently stayed 90 days.. I got nothing but good memories at the lighthouse, the staff is very approachable.. I heard over the years guys in there say that the program here isn't good.. I learned that it's not so much if it's good or bad but what I put into my own program and the lighthouse is a good place to find your real self if you're ready to let go of your own ways.. to honestly surrender.. and be honest with yourself..the lighthouse was my life saver and I knew their light is always on for me to come and feel welcomed each time I relapsed..I had the privilege to have visits from my best friend and family I wanna thank so many staff members for helping me. First of all I went in weighing 170 and left weighing a healthy 199 lbs thanks to my cooks Danny making me fat in a good way , mama B, Jessi, Rita and Christian making my meat perfect. Thank you to the drivers Glen, Rob (Rubano love that nickname), Jos and Wil for good conversations along the drives.. Thank you to client care women Christina and Lisette for getting things of work and medical business taken care of.. thank you to my girls Vanessa and Shannon for helping mentally.. thank you to the leaders of the lighthouse Teresa, Ladonna, Karla.. Jenna & Michelle Jesse. last but not least thank you to my support staff you guys made my stay fly by and had awesome talks when I was happy or mad or irritated thank you Mike, Austin,Eric, Mason, Nicole(detox), Stephanie, Amanda, Jake and Geo .. I know there's others in staff I didn't mention but I thank them also.. if you're ready to change your whole life around i recommend the LIGHTHOUSE.
