Whatever they’re doing – they’re doing it right. They really helped my sister turn her life around. She had been in and out of a couple of other facilities for years mainly because of her addiction issues but BTR was finally able to get through to her. She loved her individual therapist Dr. Strang and the other young people she met there so much my parents and I were worried that she wouldn't want to come home. I’m telling you now if you have the opportunity, do not pass it up. Wes Naylor 1 month ago The first phone call i had was an intake with Allison. She is the one who convinced me to come to Rise. She is amazing. She is there from the beginning to the end if you need anything. The first person I met at rise was Nam. He is the man he’s there for you all the time he works 20 hours a day. The man is amazing. Next, I met Zac the nurse he’s such a cool dude and listens to you and takes whatever concerns you have and it gets it fixed for you. As far as nurses Daisy, David and Nina were great. If you have real medical issues, I would not go there Dr.Raskin is a first class clown. The first time I met him, he spoke to me in the kitchen for 30 seconds and ran away. The next time I saw him was on Zoom for about 60 seconds and he got off. I had a lot of medical issues and he was not there for me. I was very disappointed in that. I refuse to see him after that that’s one of the few bad things about Rise is the doctor. If he was my employee he’d be fired. I complained about him a lot. The counselor Michael, Josh And Beth were great they listen to you and make you feel like they are helping you out. A special shout out to Cat My hippie dippy friend she is the one who does yoga and meditation. I never did that in my life before I’m an older man and she was amazing. I’m from the East Coast. The food was not that great. I was disappointed in that they have a private chef. James was the best chef That’s the only thing I could say about the food. Very disappointing. That being said, I would definitely go to Rise. They save my marriage and they save my life. Thank you to the team if I left anybody out, I’m sorry. For me, one of those people has always been Ron and the entire team at Rise in Malibu. I’ve known Ron for a while , and through every chapter, he has remained someone who genuinely cares, shows up, and sees the person beneath the struggle. That kind of authenticity is rare. His leadership and heart are reflected throughout the entire program and staff. Dr. Mark, Sheri, and everyone at Rise create an environment that is compassionate, professional, supportive, and deeply human. They don’t treat people like problems to fix they treat them like people worth fighting for. That distinction matters more than words can explain. What makes Rise special is that it never felt transactional to me. It felt personal. Real care, real connection, real support, and people who continue to stay connected long after treatment ends. That says everything. And for me personally, recovery wasn’t something that necessarily “landed” the very first time. Sometimes the spiritual experience happens when it’s truly ready to happen. What I can say today, sitting here over 16 months sober, is that Rise helped give me the tools, foundation, support, and perspective that allowed that change to finally take root in a real way. When the moment came, I knew how to move forward because of what I had learned there. That’s something I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life! I can honestly say I would recommend Rise in Malibu to anyone looking for genuine help, guidance, and people who truly care about recovery and human beings as a whole. Thank God, somehow, my Family found Dr. Calvert @ "Revive Detox" in West LA. My Son dropped me there directly from the hospital … tore up. I finally slept in a real bed, Josh cooked excellent food daily and they loved me back to feeling like I was a special person with a reason to live. Once my mind & body could talk and walk she started therapy, meetings gave me more attention than I deserved. Dr. C and her and staff put me back together medically, physically and emotionally. It took 6 weeks of her Professional patients to bring me back to life and I have realized how fortunate l am to have met her. If anyone is hesitating on "surrender" Dr. C. - Josh & the Staff will make you comfortable, rested, loved and detoxed ready to get your life back. I've been to a dozen detoxes/rehabilitations in the past, 56 years old. I've been lied to by intake, telemarketers, showed up, walked out, name it… I've seen it. She is the only professional that told the truth (no sales pitch) and honored her word to the end. She handled the highest level of care, experience, love and professional knowledge. She treated my Son like royalty when he came to visit. I now have approx. 6 months of clean time because I was gifted a true & valuable life lesson of how to live. I was 17 when I went to hillcrest treatment facility and heavily addicted to substances. As soon as I stepped inside I was welcome in with open arms. We had fresh meals made daily, fitness, and as well as other activities to get my natural dopamine back up, I made lifelong friendships and lifelong heart touching memories. It was the best time of my life and I stayed sober ever since then and I am 20 now, I bought my own car and I will be moving out into my own apartment soon. The caregivers and therapists and everyone involved was amazing and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I wasn’t able to keep in contact with them due to rules but I think about the caregivers, therapists and my experience that I had there every single day, it was so touching that every day I strive to do better because I think about all the people that helped me at hillcrest, eventually if possible I would even like to get a job there to help kids like I was helped. My addiction had taken over my entire life and I had absolutely zero hope for my future. The second I stepped off of the plane I was met with a smiling face from the kindest person I had met in a long time. I was instantly taken care of and felt safe. When I arrived at the house I was overwhelmed with how comfortable it felt. I was very well cared for through detoxing; consistently checked on and heard when I had any issues or problems through it. John, the chef, actually came to me everyday and asked what I was able to stomach while going through my withdrawal, he would bring me whatever asked for to help get me through it and get back in my body as soon as possible. Jake and Andrew made me feel comfortable coming to them with any issues or questions and took care of EVERYTHING for me. My only priority thanks to them was to GET BETTER. Once I was able to attend groups I was even more comfortable. EVERY counselor/facilitator was great! Every staff member has the ability to meet you where you are in your recovery. The majority have been in each phase or spot themselves so it’s a genuine feeling of empathy and understanding that they offer. There is also a network of support that grows between the clients and it makes sharing and listening so easy. The entire program is ran in a way that makes recovery there feel less institutionalized and more like just simply self growth and realization. It’s a perfect mix of quiet, slow down personal time and active time. The outings made me realize that there is fun and happiness in sobriety. Maple Moon was my home, when I needed it most.This place changed my life, in all seriousness and honesty they truly did. Stephanie responded to all my emails and phone calls in a timely fashion and with great care. At the Calabasas house, I had the privilege to have Michele as my therapist. I owe her my life with how attentive and caring she was for me. Michele was compassionate, funny, and direct - something I needed. After struggling with some significant trauma, the counselors that worked with my son were truly wonderful. The weekend activities were excellent including boating and trips to amusement parks. During the week, he learned to surf, completed his school curriculum so that he could graduate from his regular education elementary school, and took hikes at beautiful locations around Malibu. He loved the food, and participated in group and music therapy as well as individual counseling. We spoke on the phone most nights and had great weekend visits. My son is now a thriving 7th grader, enjoying school and close relationships with his friends. I would encourage anyone struggling to give your child the gift of this healing environment. I appreciate their staff for everything! Austin Souto-Maior 2 months ago Go here! I know. I know. It’s suspicious when someone offers to fly you to LA ASAP. Trust me, this is the place to go. They will book your flights, pick you up at the airport, etc. Additionally, they handle all of the behind-the-scenes parts (i.e. contacting your workplace, paperwork, etc.). The facility for detox / residential is top notch. You get lunch and dinner catered. You can also make a grocery list for them to get for you. The staff is top notch. I was spoiled with how great my case manager was. The medical techs were also great. I had a mental breakdown and one of them brought me into her office to talk be back to sanity. Basically, how it works is you spend thirty days at the detox / residential facility. The first week-ish is your detox. The rest is going to group courses. Once you complete that, you have the option to do their PHP program (residential living). Much more freedom, fewer classes. If you are someone who has had a history with and have gotten out of religion, AA is pushed heavily on you. Thankfully, I was allowed to go another route for semi-daily meetings once I reached the PHP phase. Bring items comforting you. For me, it was definitely a different area than the Midwest. I certainly wish I had brought by blanket that was breathable in the warm climate. All in all, this was a great opportunity to meet new friends AND get out of whichever substance you have had an issue with. Over time, this place became so much more than just a rehab facility to me. The staff truly cared about me as a person, not just another client walking through the door. The support, structure, conversations, and friendships I built there gave me the foundation I needed to finally start over. I’m still sober today, and I constantly think about how different my life could look if I hadn’t made the decision to go to treatment. I speak highly of Invigorate all the time and have specifically referred people there because I genuinely believe in what they do.
