This place is amazing ! Everything about this place is great. The food, the counselors, and all the staff are awesome. Staff is so helpful. My counselor Paul has been amazing. Another guy that's always helpful all around is Shep. He's a good role model and cool to talk to and have some laughs with. I cannot begin to express what Banyan Palm Springs means to me.
I arrived barely able to walk as withdrawal was setting in. People, both staff and temporary residents would grab my arms and assist me to wherever I needed to go. I was embarrassed initially but everyone of them said “we’ve all been there”.
So, can you imagine if I didn’t say this has been the most amazing recovery home I’ve been to and it’s not my first.
So … the grounds are beautiful and meticulous. The rooms are super clean and stylish (unusual I know) - with comfy beds and good sheets, good pillows and soft duvets.
The nursing station (open 24 hrs) is always listening to you and making you feel normal - which is wonderful. They’re knowledgeable and understanding and kind.
The kitchen has produced 3 lovely meals a day with a complete salad bar open 24 hours.
The temporary guests (us) have been beyond kind and good and interesting and absolutely respectful. AND, they come from all over the… Seattle, Virginia,,New Jersey, Canada and all of California.
The staff … well this might take some time.
Everyone of them are willing to help with whatever you need even if it isn’t their “job role” Even the cleaning and maintenance crew will help you of whatever direction you need pointing in. The counselors always have an ear and have a genuineness that goes beyond.
The case workers are always doing they’re very best to solve the many problems that pop up daily - I mean going out of their way to do so.
But truly the finest part is the programs and program structure. Terribly knowledgeable staff that teach yes the 12 steps but also what is your brain doing with addiction and what is your body doing with addiction.
All in a completely safe and as I said beautiful environment.
So, as I said I can’t say enough and I certainly can’t imagine having gone anywhere else.
If you are looking and questioning … stop now and call them.
You shan’t regret one minute of it.
I am being discharged tomorrow and feel like a million dollars - they have signed me up for Telehealth and early morning Smart meetings as I begin full time work again - and I will so so miss everything about BanyanPalmSprings!

I was in Michael's house back in 2015 and did a month there and they have a good staff , And I also ate good there, they have real good food, and the hikes were nice and then the trip to Laguna Beach on the last weekend that was awesome can't believe it's already been 10 years since then, I recommend this place It's a good facility 👍

I completed treatment here seven years ago and it was life-altering; I continue to abstain from alcohol. The team approaches care with genuine compassion and professionalism, creating an environment where real healing can take place. I am lucky enough to still know many of the staff and peers that I initially met while in treatment and I remain engaged in the alumni program - building community has been key to maintaining sobriety.
I highly recommend Michael’s House and encourage anyone who is on the precipice of deciding whether or not to go to treatment to just do it - You won’t regret it.

I desperately needed to get sober & doing it on my own wasn’t working. I had no idea what to expect from this place. From my very first phone call, to the day I was discharged, the staff, nurses, techs & counselors were absolutely amazing & incredibly friendly & compassionate. The women I met and lived with at Fisher Hall surrounded me with nothing but love and support & for the first time, I didn’t feel alone in my disease. The property was beautiful, the food was good & I loved cruising the book store. The psychiatrist, Young, however, was the only disappointing part of my 28 day stay. His comment, “…in 20 years, if you live that long,” was hurtful, especially for someone so vulnerable & new to rehab and sobriety. He also made other upsetting comments to other women in my hall, but that is not my story to tell. Other than that, my stay was amazing & it gave me the tools I desperately needed. Overall I had an excellent experience at BF - the only negative comment I could make was the atmosphere in detox- I found the the environment to be dark and depressing, the rooms smelly and a rare and occasion condescending staff member - the minute I walked into DuPont Hall everything changed- I was fortunate to be surrounded by an incredibly supportive and communicative group of patients - I felt very fortunate to have been assigned Bryan Wilmoth as my counselor- he is exceptional at what he does - the small group gatherings were the highlight of my time here at BF - Bryan provides a safe environment that allows people to open up and express themselves in a non judgmental way - he provides levity when necessary and the written exercises were enlighten and productive- I can’t say enough good things about Bryan - last thing - the food was inconsistent and could certainly be better in my opinion - thx for the opportunity to review my experience at the BFC

Bella monte is simply the best and I mean the best rehab I’ve ever attended. My 6th one. From the great staff (people just like me and you, addicts), from the different foods they provide. 3 hot meals a day. And u can make ur own food and munch thru out the day. To the rooms. Amazing clean private so comfy beds. Pillows suck tho. Ain’t gonna lie. It’s literally a 5 start resort rehab. The peace and tranquility it gives your mind is exactly what u need and crave for in the time after drug abuse. Every staff member that was there in the month of April 2025 will forever be In my heart! There part of my recovery and the reason I am sober today still . I love you guys and gals. Thank you for listening to me with open hearts and non judgmental eyes. Groups were exactly what I needed . It’s small groups but I love it . I got better one on ones. Was kicked out of IOP after therapist told me she no longer wanted to help me. Passed all drug test. Was told at TLC I watched to much tv even though there is nothing else to do there. Wrote on every questionnaire given that I had thoughts of harming myself and thoughts of suicide. Was never addressed. Had therapist believe rumors that I put a stop too. Had therapist fuel the fire of people talking negatively about me. Continued to be suicidal. Got kicked out to the literal street. Have been sleeping on the sidewalk for days because they don’t care about my well being. Would not suggest this place due to the lack of empathy. Sad truly because some of the staff are very loving. Others rather see you commit suicide then talk to you about it.

Been there twice and it took traction during round two back on New Year’s Day 2021. Recovery and Rehab you can get whatever you want. Their curriculum at the Ranch is successful just like at different recovery treatment centers. So surrender and go with their program, or you can’t do anything and figure you “got this” or maybe do shady things even there. Your choice, surrender and take it in and try something new, or loiter with intent and see how it works out for you. First tried AA on 12-01-2007 but never surrendered ( figuring I got this) but when I gave up, surrendered, and wanted it no matter what, I finally got sober, do the math on my sobriety and waisted 13 years trying to do it my way. So in AA, or, NA you can do or get everything you want. I want to be sober and nothing else. I surrendered 100% 01-01-21. Thanks Mike and the rest of team and family from the Ranch for saving me.

I went to Kiloby for 6 months. the work they do at the center is very rewarding and changed my life. With that being said, it is a smaller treatment center with a small number of staff which results in a disorganized feeling to the program and a LOT of repeat groups which got very boring. Plus a lot of time is spent sitting around doing 'self support' because they don't have enough staff to run groups and do one on one sessions at the same time. And don't be fooled when you hear them say this is not a 12 step program; 12 step meetings are MANDATORY. and one last thing: I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEIR SOBER LIVING... unless you like sleeping in very cheap bunk beds and tight quarters with upwards of 8-9 people at a time. I am not saying I don't think this is a good program, because it is and I got a lot out of it but I think there is a lot of room for improvement from Kiloby. Give it a try if you want to try something different that really gets to the core of your issues.
Update, 5 years later: After re-reading my review, and the reviews of others who have left a rating, I truly think The Kiloby Center deserves at least a 4-4.5 Star rating. On reflection, the work I did here changed my life more than any of the other programs I've been to. The comments I made about the sober living seem so trivial now.. I can honestly say, for a smaller treatment center, Kiloby did their best and still managed to make a bigger impact on my life than any other 'rehab'/program. I can't say thank you enough. this place gave me an entirely new point of view.

I love MFI Recovery. From the moment I started this program it has been nothing but a blessing.
The staff there has been so supportive ,caring, and motivating. Their ability to cater to each of the individual needs of all the people that attend classes there is incredible.
Tho I am not blood related to anyone there, I feel as tho I am part of a family that loves and respects me and that truly cares about my success in overcoming my addiction.
I would recommend that anyone that is feeling alone or abandoned in their addiction go in to MFI on Tuesday and talk to Jessica.

MFI is a top notch program with an excellent group of staff to match. I did my initial intake with Joseph and knew I had found a great program. The counselors legitimately listen and remeber even the most minor details about their clients which speaks volumes about their level of care. MFI Murrieta location is absolutely amazing. Smaller facility makes it much more personal and interactive with the counselors. Always a pleasure walking in to see Mary the receptionist every week. And Joseph, my personal counselor and manager of the facility is very understanding and attentive to our needs. Rebecca the therapist and Erin the other counselor are wonderful people. They have all helped me in so many ways for the last year I have been attending. I would recommend this place to anybody is need of help and resources. The groups are helpful as well as entertaining and my peers are close to me like family. I'm so glad I came here and will never forget what this place and people did for me. Thank you MFI.

I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience over the past 5 1/2 months here. The receptionist Mary while very busy is warm and welcoming. My counselor is Erin but at times I have also had the pleasure of meeting with Joseph both are extremely caring and professional and always available when you need them. I look forward to the weekly groups they both lead so much so that I even squeeze in additional groups on my days off when I can and they are always accommodating. I don’t know what I would have done without all of the support I have received from both the staff and the amazing friends I have made while attending groups! Highly recommended!!!
