Before coming here, I'd been to hospitals and treatment centers that felt more like jail cells than places of healing. What made South Shore different was the people and the environment. Every staff member truly cared about helping us recover. Instead of being locked down most of the day sitting in front of a TV, we participated in classes, went on outings, attended meetings, and learned about the disease of addiction and how to live a sober life. The home-like setting made a huge difference for me. It felt like living in a normal household, with doctors, nurses, and staff always there to keep everyone safe and provide support. That environment gave me the opportunity to focus on recovery instead of just getting through the day. I met so many people just like me, which showed me I wasn't alone and that long-term sobriety is truly achievable. To everyone at South Shore—thank you. I have never stayed sober this long in my life after years of substance abuse, and I genuinely owe so much of that success to this place. Inpatient care with the feel of home! I just spent six weeks in treatment with these wonderful people and I cannot speak highly enough to describe the care I received. Literally, from the first phone call, through treatment and discharge, my needs came first. The staff were amazing. The groups were relevant and extremely beneficial. Accomodations were very comfortable. Most important for me, I'm at home with 48 days of sobriety and I'm equipped with the tools necessary to have a great chance of staying that way. If you are suffering from addiction like I was, please give South Shores Recovery a call. You will not regret it! From the moment I arrived, I felt safe, supported, and surrounded by compassion. The facility itself is absolutely beautiful — serene, clean, and designed for healing. With a small group of only six clients, there was a strong sense of community, and I received plenty of personalized attention. The staff-to-client ratio is excellent, and I was able to have frequent one-on-one therapy sessions, along with support whenever I needed it. The therapists and staff truly went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, cared for, and progressing in our healing journeys. The food was also a highlight — healthy, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared. Every detail of the program felt intentional and supportive. SCRC is an amazing recovery center ready to help you just like they helped me. Not only is it near the beach, where I had many long walks as I began my journey in sobriety, but everything they do is geared towards meeting you where you’re at and walking along side you. The staff is amazing, many of whom are on their own journey in sobriety, with the sincere desire to give back to those yearning for healing, change, and purpose. The sober houses are just what I needed and gave me the time and safe space to begin to change. Along with specific group time and counseling provided by the center, they encourage 12 step meetings, getting a sponsor and working the steps. It is through working the steps where I truly found the healing and change necessary to live sober and free. SCRC supported me all along the way providing the space and resources to entirety focus on my own walk in early sobriety. From the time I made the decision to call them to get help, they have gone above and beyond to make my recovery possible, exciting, and successful. They have wonderful group facilitators that keep a constant theme of recovery, while creating a safe environment for clients to open up in group therapy. We get taken to many excellent 12-step meetings; the recovery in this area is over the top amazing. The houses clients live in are beautiful, beyond what words can say, and very comfortable, homey, and lively. Overall, this program has changed my life forever for the better. I came to treatment with very little hope for a future for myself. Capo has been patient, kind, and loving to me, at a time when I was none of those things to myself. The entire staff, in more ways than I can count, is a significant part of the success in my recovery. To me this verse speaks to my heart if i sacrife my old ways to follow christ god gives me authority to pick up a new life with him one with purpose and fullfilment. But i have to chose to give it up. I have to want a new life with him and for me. To be transformed by the renewal of my mind and heart. What is impossible for man is made possible with god. This treatment center has given me a path to redemption and all i need to do is walk. If u are ready or not or just unsure i recommend coming here. But you get what you put in. They have created a safe, therapeutic environment that is welcoming to all. The spiritual component of the program is available to all, but is not mandatory. You can participate at the level you are comfortable with while still receiving all of the services they have to offer. Jeremiah was an outstanding case manager who is extremely knowledgeable while also being relatable. His well rounded approach to rehabilitation was inspiring. My husband of 20+ yrs was in the In Patient Treatment at the Men’s Facility for 60 days and is now attending Intensive Outpatient Program as recommended by Mr. Ed his therapist and Jeremiah his case manager. Aaron and Andrew the house managers and Jim the night house manager all took such great care of my husband. Covenant Hills has 2 pathways, the traditional based and the faith based. The skills and tools my husband learned are leading him to a successfully sober life. Mr. Ed involves the family in recovery and teaches during family group every week. I had never been to a treatment center before and did not know what to expect. If that is you, just know that it is real and absolutely amazing! They have someone on staff in particular who is truly an angel. Don’t get me wrong all of the staff are incredible but, this one lady, Juanita practically saved my life. From the initial calls to get me there to being in touch with me at each airport that I had to transfer from, Juanita showed me how much she cared about me. In saying this please keep in mind she did not know me from Adam. She simply knew I was broken and needed help. She will forever be my guardian angel! The facility itself is beautiful. The location is great. The therapy is second to none in my honest opinion. I learned so much about me and what broke me. I wholeheartedly recommend NMW to anyone that needs recovery including mental health and or addiction. They will see YOU the individual. I truly believe in my heart that they are not in it for the money. The staff here will go the extra mile for you and leave you feeling confident and aware of how to proceed with your life in a healthy way. This was the first treatment facility (out of 5) I’ve been to that left me not wanting to leave, which is a testament to the experience they provided me during a time of need. The facilities are stellar and you will absolutely love the food Tom makes. I would recommend this place to those closest to me in my life. It’s not an experience you will regret undertaking. Upon arrival to the facility, it was nothing but kindness, respect, and genuine care for me and my journey while in their care. I made arrangements to extend my stay with them to 90 days simply because i felt like i was growing and gaining so much from them and their program. The staff goes above and beyond for each and every client. Although I extended my stay to 90 days, I had to leave at just over 60 days due to a call that had come for me to tell me that my husband had passed away. I owe my life and my sobriety to the SCC Treatment center and their entire team. I made it through my husband’s passing and months after still sober! I’m a few weeks away from getting my 6 month coin! Thank you SCC for giving me my life back! I could never repay or say it enough but, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!!! Staff was very helpful and accommodating from start to finish. I was able to get approved right away with my insurance and chose the date for checking in. I did a 25 day treatment program. The program fills your week with many different classes, off site AA meetings, and offsite beach meetings as well. Other fun recovery activities were also included on the weekends with all the girls. All meals are included Chef Kelsey is amazing. My case manager Janelle, was very attentive and took care of my needs when asked for. The techs are great in all the houses. They also set me up with out patient care and made sure I left with a sponsor and more info about AA meetings in my home area. Casa Capri is a great option if you are seeking a ALL woman's center.
