The Medical Care provided by the VA Health Care Department is superb. It is the best benefit an honorably discharged or disabled veteran gets for their time in the military. So much better then medicare or medicaid. They will provide the best medical care it's possible to get any where and if they can't, they will find out who can and send you there. I'm glad I'm a vet who's got full VA Medical coverage and wish every one in the USA had access to this kind of medical care.

I've been to many detox and recovery programs over the years, and Ford Street Project gave me one of the best experiences I've had. They made me feel like part of a big family, not scrutinized over every little thing like at other places, such as HRC. The only drawbacks were the sleeping arrangements and the mattresses, but that's easily fixed with a personal mattress pad for extra comfort.The men and women are housed separately in large dormitories with partitions, so you still have a sense of personal space. This setup helped me bond with the other women, making us feel closer. Maybe I was lucky to have been with serious, committed individuals, but I know the staff would have addressed any issues if they had arisen amongst the roomates. Aside from the sleeping conditions, I absolutely loved this place. Even with the sleeping arrangements being a little rough it is absolutely still totally worth it and just by bringing an extra mattress pad from home u have turned an uncomfortable situation into one completely bearable. Also, you can smoke anytime, which is great when you're up half the night detoxing and don't want to be locked in with an alarm set at 9 PM. If you're considering this place for detox, bring a comfy mattress pad and give them a try—they're awesome and made me feel at home. Thanks, Ford Street Project!

Hi I went through the Singing Trees Recovery program in 2001. The experience was so spiritual. I am an addict and they helped me get clean, stay clean, and so much more! I got to meet myself for the first time in a Long time not to mention some good people whom I call my Friends and my 2nd Family I would recommend this facility to anyone that needs help! The staff are excellent and have all been in my shoes at one time their life so they counsel with real experience on your level not just out of a text book. Because they have a story too. I learned a whole new way of life. You can get so much out of this program if you want it. Thank You So Much Singing Trees And all that's within It. I'm writing this review as a family member (not a patient) but I have only positive things to say about my entire experience with Reflections. Several months ago, my brother was in a very dangerous place in his life. It got to the point where we feared for his life on a weekly basis and knew we had to do something urgently. Our family staged an intervention and successfully got my brother to agree to inpatient treatment. After extensive research, I found that Reflections was our best option, and I believe choosing Reflections is a decision that may have saved his life. From the very first phone call I had with program director Olejan, I felt a level of genuine care, intelligence, nuance, and humanity that Olejan brought to our conversations. He wasn't trying to sell us the program or anything like that. We had heart-to-heart conversations that made me feel like Reflections would be our partner in my brother's recovery. I felt confident in the credentialed clinical team they have there with Dr. Hanna, and reassured that the level of care my brother would receive would be top-notch, with more one-to-one therapeutic care than what most inpatient treatment centers could offer in Los Angeles. My brother's main therapist at Reflections was Stewart Bryant, and they formed an amazing relationship that my brother cherished during his stay. Week by week I would check in with my brother while he was at Reflections, and just hearing him progressively become more clear-headed, alert, deeply reflecting, emotionally available and vulnerable and willing to speak about everything, working through foundational issues in his life, being more optimistic and committed to his sobriety - it was so profoundly encouraging to see the signs of his work at Reflections really taking root. To any family member reading this while desperately searching for the right place for someone you love: Reflections was an amazing option and I highly recommend you reach out and speak to Olejan who will wholeheartedly address any concerns you may have about Reflections being a good match for your family member in need of treatment. Thank you to the entire Reflections staff for giving my brother high-quality treatment. I am forever thankful to them for being that pivotal first step in my brother's road to full recovery!

Literally saved my life and my marriage! After multiple behavior boot camp style programs, the incredible credentialed clinical staff helped my husband dig deep into the causes of his intense anxiety and control issues affecting our marriage particularly when he was self medicating to escape from the pain. We are so grateful to everyone at Reflections from the executive team to the support staff, each of them delivering compassionate and skilled guidance from intensive and individualized therapies to navigating the maze of insurance. I went there for 5 nights and 6 days. This was my first time at a rehab and I was really nervous and apprehensive about what it would be like. Azure Acres saved me. It mended me and gave me back myself, the true version of me that I had long lost to alcohol. I was beyond being able to help myself, but they were able to help me. Going to Azure Acres was likely the best decision of my life. It repaired me as a person, in turn allowing me to heal my relationships and build a future I couldn't see before. You will learn so much about addiction and yourself. I now have over 3 years and 7 weeks of sobriety without so much as a hiccup. The staff are incredibly caring and passionate about their jobs. If you want help, this is where you need to go. You are worth it, and you can do it.

By far. the best (out of 7 total) rehab facilities I've ever been to. They actually do trauma therapy, and you get sessions with a licensed psychologist twice a week, in addition to your drug counselor. The very best therapists I have EVER worked with. And the best drug counselor I've ever had. I've been looking for therapy like this, and the answers I got at Olympia House, for 20 years. They are the most skilled, caring, and professional team of people I've ever worked with in mental health. I'm dual diagnosis, so I've been seeing professionals for my mental health for 25 years. Some of their curriculum is custom, developed in house by the psychologists there—you won't find tools like these anywhere else. I have a custom designed "addictive system" I use every day to track where I am in my recovery and mental health. I use this not only to prevent relapses, but correct myself if I run off course, and this works not just for substance relapses but also things like depression, anxiety, and anger. Their website doesn't reflect this, but they take Kaiser Permanente insurance now. That's the only reason I was able to come here. I know reviews are inflated on the Internet, but please trust me, I swear with every fiber of my being and every ounce of integrity I have, this is likely the best rehab in California. If you have trauma, and most people do, or some form of PTSD, this is the place you should go. They also focus on finding meaning and purpose in life--and they will definitely help you with that. They also allow you to come back to the rehab twice a year for 2-3 days for free! They call it a "tune up". No one else I know of does this. There's also free group therapy for alumni (a process group led by one of the therapists there) once a week via Zoom. I would wake up many times in OH in disbelief that this place exists at all, and that I got to be a resident here. They've made an enormous difference in the outcome of my life. ******ADDENDUM****** I recently read a review of OH where someone on the autism spectrum had a difficult experience. I'm sorry to hear that, but I simply wanted to say I'm (diagnosed) autistic (ASD 1/Aspergers) myself and felt that OH not only understood the strengths and limitations that can come with that, but also caused me to realize I had overestimated how different I was from my peers because of my autism. I still have it, of course, but the result of being at OH was a clearer picture of its actual impact in my life, particularly with peer relationships. I can't thank them enough for helping me with this, I have a much healthier social life today as a result.

They make u feel like you unique and special. They offer soo many different activities and teach you so much about yourself and addiction. They give you the tools and resources for when you leave. They do not turn anyone away UNLESS you require more specialized care being that they are not a hospital with a doctor on site. By far the best rehab in northern California

Olympia House Rehabilitation in Petaluma, California saved my life as well as countless others! The intense inpatient program includes psychologists, counselors, process group meetings, group classes, one on one meetings as well as yoga, guided meditation, animal therapy, garden, therapy, art and music too. Olympia House is situated on quiet, peaceful, and safe, 100+ acre farm/ranch. The doctors, couselors, and staff all work to help identify the root cause of the core distortions that contribute to substance abuse. The focus of the residents mind, body, and spirit are all addressed. Additionally, there is a lifetime of free continuous care for the alumni that includes zoom process groups, AA/NA meetings, visits once a year for two days at the house. The alumni portion of treatment is all free of charge. I cannot say enough good things regarding Olympia House. I highly recommend this program. Thank you, Sherry P.

Significant improvements have been made to the facility, including updates to the mission statement, management, aesthetics, and especially the counselors who seem far more qualified. However, a non-trivial amount of miscommunication is impacting their clients more than they may realize. That said, it’s important to note that they are still in a transition period, which should also be taken into account.

Walking through the doors of this women’s rehab was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I came here for 30 days, and it completely changed the direction of my life. The staff genuinely cared about my recovery and created a safe, supportive environment where I could finally focus on healing. I learned so much about myself, I gained tools that I continue to use every day, and found hope when I wasn’t sure it existed. The team at Muirwood is absolutely incredible! Their dedication, support, passion for helping teens and so much more, brought my boy back. They taught him things that I clearly wasn't able to. Our child was at Muir Woods for 45 days. Although it was very difficult decision to place them there, it was necessary and I dont regret it. Dana H. was our therapist and she is a true professional. She helped our child to open up and start to get better and bigger person. Even our child said it was though to be at Muir Woods but he agreed it changed him for a better and he grew as a person and feels much better about himself and his future now. I have been to 8 treatment centers from Sacramento to Michigan and I can honestly say that skyway house has been the best treatment that I have received BY FAR. The counselors Andy, Veronica, and Madeline actually really care and aren't there for the paycheck. They take an active role in every clients recovery weather they are your counselor or not. The support staff is top notch as well. I came in with virtually nothing. Taylor and Amy and Ajanna literally helped save my life. From listening to my problems to playing cards with me and loaning me books to read. I will forever be grateful for this wonderful place.

This was my first time at the North Clinic. I have been to the South Clinic a few times. The clinics have a different feel. I have noticed at the South Clinic, some veterans hang out and can socialize with other veterans. One time I was there, there was a truck distributing food. At both clinics the people working there, were very nice and respectful. I was at the North clinic to see a cardio nurse practitioner. She was very thorough and caring with my issues. So far I have been very impressed with the quality of care I have been getting at both clinics.

I cannot say enough good things about Center Point DAAC. For years there were no services for men that wanted help with alcohol and substance abuse through MediCal in Sonoma county. Fortunately this is no longer the case. This facility opened in December 2024 and has helped many suffering from AUD and SUD already. It's a new and clean facility. Staff members are amazing, in particular my case manager. You can tell they are truly sincere in helping others find the path to sobriety. I finally feel hope again. If you or someone you know is in need of help please don't overlook this place. I would highly recommend it.

HI! "Recovery is no popularity contest". Let's get humble, and do whatever it takes to live in that humility. I was a case manager for both in-patient and out-patient. It was a joy helping others. What a person puts into their recovery is what they'll get. Campobello was a good recovery center. I am glad to see Camp is still around.
