Run from this place! Discovary allowed chikdren to get in car with safe memers person car and they had 7 differwnt vapes and left the other kids allown in the house. Parents we’re not notified. My son told us when we were in family therapy. And then coordinator Carol Williams likes to blame everybody else then to take accountability.. my son wanted girl sheets, and they refuse to allow him to have them. staff doesn’t follow the rules but then one the coordinator comes. I’ll hell breaks out in the morning when all the bosses are there because they’re not following the rules when they’re not there they’re more relaxed to pray on the kids vulnerabilities. Stay away from this place. Carolyn Williams {Program Administrator} unprofessional shows no empathy and as soon as she arrives to the floor, she agitates the kids staff has no idea what’s going on ever. They’re always said they’re off the day before and Carolyn likes to lie. about situations and they have no cameras to prove any documentation.

I made a 20 hour round trip to get help for my child at this facility. They were there for less than 2 days before I get the call to pick them back up: they were kicked out. Why? For the exact reason we sent them. During intake, we were encouraged to not call in the first 3 days to help with adjustment, so we had no idea what was happening and could not help. I spoke to the manager when we got there and she placated; saying that she didn't agree with the discharge but had no choice. I told her everything she was talking about was in the admission interview. She said they don't do their own admissions and had no input on if patients are appropriate for them. She was very apologetic but ultimately, took no responsibility. The details make it worse. I just wish they were given a chance to adjust. UPDATE: I emailed them as requested here. No response.

stayed at this facility from December 2024 to January 2025. If you’re a parent or guardian considering this program for your child or loved one, I strongly encourage you to reconsider. Some staff members were extremely rude and showed a consistently negative attitude. Leaving early isn’t easy either it can take 3–4 weeks just to complete paperwork, and you need your therapist’s approval. Many decent staff ended up quitting, which isn’t surprising given the demanding environment: overworked, underpaid employees managing six kids with complex mental health needs and only a 30-minute break per day. One incident that stood out was when a patient was having a clear mental health crisis, and we were forced to enter their room (which is normally off-limits). We had to watch while staff asked sensitive questions that should have been private. Some other patients were even giggling, which made the situation feel even more uncomfortable. Overall, the only thing that made my stay remotely bearable was my peers. If possible, please explore private therapy options before considering a residential facility especially one like this 😕

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a short-term form of intensive rehab, usually for those with acute symptoms that are hard to manage but don’t require 24-hour care. PHPs have structured programming (i.e. individual and/or group therapy), and usually meet 3-5 days a week for around 6 hours (i.e. 9am-3m). Some PHPs are residential (patients sleep on site) and some are not, so patients sleep at home. PHPs can last from 1-6 months, and some offer transportation and meals.

Treatments

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.
