Elevate helped save my son's life!  One year ago, I was on a desperate search for a place that would help my son quit drinking.  I went online and was so overwhelmed with all the choices!  I called a couple places and was not impressed with what they offered. I prayed to God He would lead me to the right place, and He did!  The 3rd place I called, this nice guy named Josh answered, and right away, we connected.  I asked questions, he asked questions.  What I loved about what he said, was that they did not rely on prescribing a bunch of meds to "fix" my son, but offered an in depth program that included exercise as part of the journey to recovery, and to ultimately learn to not rely on anything to self medicate ever again. Ding!  I knew he would love something like this, and the more Josh talked, the more I wanted to get my son on a plane!  Of course, the final decision was up to him, and at that point, he was ready for a major change, and trusted my judgement.  Thank God! Within days, my son was up north and that was the beginning of his new life because today marks his ONE YEAR from not having a drop of alcohol!  In fact, he liked Elevate so much, he stayed up there, trained heavily for 3 months, and is now an employee who helps counsel new clients.  He earned Employee of the Month last month and I couldn't be more proud of the hard work he did and does for himself. I can't thank Elevate enough for the part they played in his recovery.  It was divine intervention and I'm so grateful he chose himself and continues to live out his purpose.  Thank you to the team at Elevate!

I didn’t them a five because they don’t offer virtual therapy options. Other than that, they offer great care and really helped me in my recovery. The staff was super supportive and used evidence based methods, which helped with the combo of addiction and mental health stuff I’ve been dealing with. At first I was nervous and scared. I felt rehab was like a hospital ward. Once I arrived from the intake coordinator Janet was so caring, helpful and compassionate. Gregg who drove us to center and Dr Calloway office eased my nerves. Both had a lot of good conversations. Once I got to the center. I was welcomed by my sober mate which I still keep in contact and others. My counselor Jake was amazing very informative, compassionate. All of the counselors including Cdtechs as well. I literally cried when I left I felt it was my second home. Chef Shilpa always made amazing meals that I ever had. I felt very spoiled. My time there was very structured, educational and informative. Provided the tools for me to stay on my sobriety journey. There is so much more I could express about my experience. All I can say I was very blessed, grateful for New Recovery 🙏🏼💖🙏🏼

The Summit Estate Recovery Center is outstanding in every respect. The staff is top notch, highly qualified, professional, friendly and a pleasure to work with. Client needs, both medical and otherwise, are addressed promptly and appropriately. The facility and grounds are beautiful and comfortable. Both are maintained in excellent condition. All meals are prepared by professional chefs skilled in preparing healthy food that supports the special needs of the human body in recovery. The treatment is holistic and includes nutrition, education, group and private therapy, as well as yoga, meditation, and fitness training. After a 28 day stay in the Summit residential treatment facility, I feel confidant and motivated in my continued abstinence and sobriety. The word from my peers in treatment who have experience with other facilities is that Summit is two cuts above the nearest competition. I am very grateful for my stay at summit and the loving care I received there.

Summit Estates has been a lifesaver for my family. I would describe the staff, counseling services, patient commitment and facility with every superlative term in the dictionary. Our family member received inpatient treatment, PHP and IOP through Summit over the course of a year, and we owe Summit a huge debt of gratitude. The staff members are outstanding: Roshin, Judy, Jon, Annee, to name a few. Addiction is a terrible, lonely disease, and the bright spot has been availing ourselves of the support, tools and community offered by Summit. I would highly recommend Summit and wish that anyone suffering from addiction could be treated by the exceptional professionals at Summit.

The entire staff there functions like a well-oiled machine, and they treat their clients with love, compassion, and understanding. The facility and the property it sits on provide a serene and private setting optimal for healing and recovery. Their passion, kindness, and dedication create a safe, healing, and supportive environment. Lindsey Singleton, Program Director – You’ve built a team of winners! Everyone here loves what they do, and it shows. Your dog, Xara, is a magical member of this family, and I’m so happy she became my friend. I hope your grandma and family are doing well. David Pavkovich, Technician – Your goofiness and humor always brought a smile, even in deep personal work. That’s a gift. You’re the best cat mom ever, and I hope to see pics of your cats someday. Gerry, Facility Manager – Our talks about Kona, family, and recovery were great, and your breakfasts were next level! That ham frittata was amazing! Gina Garcia, World Dance Instructor – Your dance classes were always fun—sometimes easy, sometimes a challenge, but always uplifting! Audrey, Fitness Coach – I admire your dedication! Your workouts were perfectly balanced—not too easy, not too hard, but I felt them for days! August Materazzi, Chef – Your food is healthy, delicious, and well-planned for every dietary need (including my dislike of mushrooms!). You’re a fantastic chef. Gary Johnson, Engineer – We all appreciate your hard work around the house. Hope to run into you in Hawai‘i someday! You should definitely visit Volcanoes National Park again. Cheree Ashley, WRRC Owner Thank you for helping me get to WRRC! Even though I planned on Avila Heights, I’m so grateful for this experience. Congratulations on adding WRRC to your program portfolio! I have to say—I’m extremely impressed with the team here. The staff is outstanding, and I hope you can give them all raises soon because they truly deserve it. They are some of the most dedicated professionals in the field. To Those Seeking Recovery: WRRC isn’t just a treatment center—it’s a family. I had been losing my battle with recovery for almost fifteen years when Wellness Retreat was recommended to me. I came here severely addicted and further traumatized by what I put myself and my family through. I needed a place where I would be treated with dignity, individually recognized for what has been ailing me and personally encouraged. This what I found here, and with a genuine compassion I have never seen or felt as an addict. There is an exceptional quality here, from checkng-in through medical treatment, group processing, education, abundance of nutrition, therapy excercise, wellness and technical assistance. With a maximum of five other clients to go through the recovery process with, the Directors of the program and even the CEO rolled up their sleeves personally caring for my recovery process. For the first time in my life since I was introduced to substances I don't hate life without them. It has been almost five months since I left wellness Retreat and I still go back on Monday afternoons to join the dance classes that gave me so much hope and happiness when I was feeling so low and dark in the beginning. This is more than a Rehab, this is a Wellness Center. If you want a life worth living without drugs and alcohol, start here.

This is my third rehab experience and I stayed 6 weeks. I was very grateful to be able to get a bed quickly (the very next day). This is not a resort or a vacation, it's a rehab. You won't find a spa or masseuse here, but you will find a safe and supportive environment to work on yourself. The staff was helpful and kind, but of course they are humans too. The main counselor was very helpful and intuitive - she was able to pinpoint what some of my personal issues to focus on were. Overall, I would recommend this facility to anyone who is serious about working on themselves. Other facilities might have more amenities, more people, etc. but I found that having less external distractions helped me get a lot more out of my time here. Update 3 years later: still doing well, and still using the knowledge I gained here.

Using the VA hospital system in any city, state is not the same. I had to move around to couch surf and homeless for over ten years ending up in states between California and Florida including Washington and Utah. I have had to restart everything over every time I moved and I learned a few things over those 10 years about doctor appointments and different appointments for eyes and blood work so let me begin by saying that if you show up at 10 am and it's not busy or 1 pm and it's a mad house, either way just tell them that you are using the VA transportation and you are on a scheduled pickup and they usually move you through pretty quickly. I can't say it's foolproof but it's a little bit of an edge for those complaining about long waiting for blood work. Just remember, don't set the bar too high of expectation, you get what you pay for, and if you don't like the VA then just pay for private health care. Oh, they get complaints but nothing like the VA hospital system.

My time at Silicon Valley Recovery (SVR) was nothing short of life changing. I know that sounds like an exaggeration, but I truly learned so much about myself and my substance abuse. The entire team there are passionate and genuine in the care they provide to the incoming clients, I was easily able to settle in and focus on what I needed to work on. The facility feels like a comfortable home, the food is great, and I'll miss the Bevi machines. The staff make sure to work on your case (e.g., FMLA), and truly allow you to rest as you recover. The Incidental Medicine Services (IMS) staff are also extremely thoughtful and go above and beyond. Besides this, you meet a diverse group of clients (a.k.a. other people in recovery), that help you learn and grow and broaden your sober community. The therapies provided allow you an outlet for your thoughts and feelings as well as provide tools to use to better your approach to sobriety. The sampling of meetings (off site) you attend help you to see what flavors of meetings exist in the community (AA, NA,CMA, CODA). SVR also does an fantastic job with keeping in touch with alumni and coordinate in-person and virtual alumni/client meetings. I would highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend SVR to anyone looking to work on their substance abuse recovery. SVR will always have a special place in my heart.

SVR truly changed my life. The thing that stuck out most to me was how caring and compassionate that staff was starting with the CEO, Sonja. Everyone there genuinely cares about you and does their best to help you feel comfortable and safe and accommodate whatever personal needs you have. I did not originally come here entirely on my own (lots of external pressure) and had thoughts of leaving at first. I am beyond grateful that I didn’t. Once I detoxed and mental clarity returned, I started to listen and engage with the program they have put together and I feel like a genuinely better person for it. Most of the staff are also in recovery themselves and that made a huge difference for me; they understand on a personal level and are beyond supportive. By participating in the program and truly being honest with myself, I’ve reoriented my mind in how I view my relationship with alcohol which is something I never thought would happen. I had totally given up on myself and was resigned to my addiction. SVR gives you the tools and support to change the way you think about your DOC and most importantly yourself. I feel optimistic and hopeful about my life for the first time in many years after my time there. As far as services, I didn’t find anything lacking. All the rooms and facilities were very clean and well kept. They have an attentive 24/7 medical staff onsite, a personal chef that prepares 3 (delicious) meals a day throughout the week, gym with a pool/sauna 3 times a week, equine therapy, and weekend outings doing fun things like Top Golf, hikes, the beach, etc. They even have someone come in to give everyone haircuts every couple of weeks. You also get your cellphone during the day after 10 days, and have landlines for you to use freely whenever you want between 8am and 1030pm to stay in touch. If you are reading this and are considering checking in yourself or a loved one, I highly, highly encourage you to do so if you have the ability to. It may be one of the hardest decisions you make in life but it will also be one of the best. Hope still exists. I thought it didn’t for me but my time here completely changed my perspective on things. Make the phone call! You will thank yourself for it.

Amazing and attentive staff, they genuinely care here and want to set you up for success. They pay attention to everyone’s individual needs while encouraging self advocacy. Great curriculum with a mix of fun and educational groups. They allowed me to crochet during group and use my ipad for art because they know the importance of being able to use hobbies as a form of recovery. Even after leaving they still check in, show support, and help in any way they can. I’ve been to multiple treatment centers and finding a place as generous and attentive as svr is rare. It’s a very small and intimate community that supports each other and I would recommend it to anyone who is on the fence about treatment, they do not force anything on you but will help guiding you in making the decisions that suit you best.

My disabled but independent son has been at Riviera living for over a year now. Riviera has a medication room; Pedro is very good at making sure my son takes his medication twice a day. They re-order his medication when needed and have it mailed to the facility. They have a cafeteria that cooks really hearty homestyle meals three times a day and snacks in between. The housekeeper Susan is very aware of everyone that comes and goes. She cleans each room once a week and is like a Mom to the residents. One attendant- Elizabeth saved my son's life when she noticed he was acting strangely and followed him to his room where he had collapsed and was not breathing well. She called an ambulance. Overall, I think that the staff are very vigilant but overworked. I think that they should hire more attendants so there is always at least 2 at a time in each house, even at night. I think it would be better if they opened a cafeteria in each home so that the residents don't have to cross the street to get to the cafeteria. Also- it would be good if they could organize hair cut visits and pedicure visits because my son will not go on his own and cannot cut his toenails by himself. The laundry is down the street so it is inconvenient for the residents to do their own laundry.

My experience at the hospital was nothing short of excellent. From the reasonable wait time in the ER to the hospital admission, the room, the staff. Everything was perfect. The nurses are wonderful. A special shout out to Nurse Keen who was super attentive, respectful and very patient even when I was getting a little unreasonably impatient. Thank you!

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the nurses who cared for me during my hospital stay. In particular, I want to thank Hitome, Shari, and Dave from the labor and delivery unit—Hitome was incredibly attentive and thoughtful, Shari was warm-hearted and kind, and Dave, who kindly stepped in to help, gave me great support during the pushing stage. I am also very grateful to Arlene from the Mother-Baby Unit night shift, whose organized, thorough, and compassionate care made a big difference. In addition, I truly appreciate Suzane, the lactation consultant, for her professional guidance and practical advice on breastfeeding. The excellent service from these nurses is the main reason why El Camino Hospital left me with such a positive impression. That said, I personally felt that, overall, the service level in the Mother-Baby Unit did not match the outstanding care I experienced in the labor and delivery unit—nurses like Arlene, who work efficiently and treat patients with such kindness, are unfortunately too few.

I gave birth to my second baby here and had a really good experience at the hospital. From the nurse who took me to L&D through the emergency entrance to the nurse who helped us with discharge, they were all amazing and highly competent. We were very well taken care of throughout our stay. The lactation services at the hospital are also really good. We got some fantastic support from lactation consultant & NP Cherie. The pediatrician who came to see us, Dr Sandra Lee, was very thorough and eased any concerns or questions we had. One thing to note is that the postpartum room is small. If you have visitors in your room, it may feel cramped. The beds in the postpartum room could also be more comfortable , for both the mother and partner. Overall we were happy with the care at this hospital for Labor and Delivery and I highly recommend this hospital for birth.

Detox and rehabilitation institution that has great on-site nurses, peer-support techs, counselors, and other staff to keep a person comfortable while going through the challenges of early recovery. Served three meals a day with plenty of snacks; A couple of tvs for people who want to watch movies; and walks to the nearby beach at least a couple times a week. Two people to a room; Handicap accessible. I recommend this place if you are in active addiction and need a place to sober up safely.

Janus Rehab Center has been a life-changing place for my close friend, and I can’t say enough good things about the incredible care they received. My friend often talked about how much they appreciated the positive atmosphere and how the staff and other participants helped them feel part of a community. It was heartwarming to see them regain their confidence and discover their strength. Thanks to Janus, my friend is happier, healthier, and more hopeful than I’ve seen them in years. I’m beyond grateful for everything Janus has done for them. I don’t often write reviews, but I can see how much this program helped them become the person they want to be in this life.

I was a patient 4x at this hospital due to instability with medicine, homelessness and illness. It was very rough for me to get adjusted due to my inability to smoke for 4-6 months. However when I did I was pleased. I was taught what close care of hygiene looks like, structured days and balanced meals, and learned what better relationships look like can be formed through advocating, asserting, and assimilating. I needed this time to remain healthy, it could have easily been the reason I am still here. From this hospital I was granted to go to independent living, and with the skills I learned and the reasonable rent, I am a more reliable person for my family. The staff was very sensitive to my insecurities and they sincerely invested whatever time they could to be available to speak with them. I would like to be staff as well, helping people build confidence and approach. I want to work in the mental health profession at crestwood now because after meeting many cordial guides like Tom from (phf) and fay (mhrc) both paved the way for my good faith and understanding in a more worldly way. Dr Munir was a wonderful suite for his job and very talented. Thank you again for my brighter future that I have today. Love, cody LA ROSA

I had a serious mental health crisis a couple of years ago and needed help putting the pieces back together. I found it in Embodied Recovery, as well as understanding, support and a safe, therapeutic environment where I could to begin to sift through the emotional fallout. The holistic approach and unique blend of programming that Mike and Greg have so lovingly curated was instrumental in setting me down on a path to recovery. Happily, I still engage with them and my cohorts (now friends) that I met during my time there. I will always be grateful to them, I needed a safe place to land and they provided that and so much more.

It's been over 20ys since I participated in this program through the nudge of a judge. My last name was different. My life had spiraled into turmoil and utter caios. I hit rock bottom so hard I was spiritually, emotionally, and psychologically broken. Honestly I wished I would die than live another day. At first I didn't want to be there. I did participate in the program several times. I still remember my house managers name, Sharron. I definitely didn't leave as a night in shinning armor. The reality is I dabbled once or twice a yr. More importantly whenever I did I felt guilty, dirty, remorseful, and imberrased. Life hasn't been a beautiful boutique of roses but I am definitely proud of who I am, the challenges I've over come, and the abilities that were given to me through Support Systems Homes. Thank you for caring. Thank you for not judging. Thank you for teaching me structure in such a subtle way. I am alive, happy, and a functional part of society because of this program.

Support systems homes will know me by my maiden name, but i was there a couple times years back. It took more than one go for me to “get it”, but here’s the good news: when i left, and relapsed, it only took me one month to be begging to go back to support systems. And they welcomed me with love. The second time, i knew I needed additional support, and i lived at their SLE. My mom got a ton of education and support from the family program and got linked in to al-anon, which we now attend together. Addiction is truly a family disease, and we both had a lot to learn. Today, i have ten years sober, i am married to someone who treats me the way I deserve, and we have two beautiful children, who i am 100% present for. I am also a registered nurse and i work in psychiatry, where i meet and try to help addicts like me every day. Support systems nourished me- literally, with incredible food, and spiritually, with unconditional understanding, patience, and support. Ten years later, i look at pictures of the facility and truly miss it! I still consider it my home away from home, the safest place I’ve ever known, and the safest i have ever felt. I came in completely destroyed and beaten, and i got to be completely safe and somewhere that would protect and help me.
