About Center of Hope of Myrtle Beach LLC

Medication Assisted Treatment provides medications along with comprehensive medical, psychiatric, and behavioral counseling. FDA approved medications are used to support withdrawal from opioid drugs and to help maintain long-term abstinence. By combining medication with mental health treatment, a greater chance of success is achieved for long-term abstinence.

Individual therapy creates the space to explore the psychological challenges associated with the addiction. With the help of a professional, individuals are given the space and direction to talk about and process their emotions. Often this includes unresolved trauma, anger, depression, anxiety, and the need for more control or autonomy in life.

Aftercare programming is for individuals who have successfully gone through a treatment program but who desire or need continual support once they return home. These programs often include alumni groups, group therapy, 12 Step meetings, SMART meetings, and individual therapy. The purpose is to provide a safe space to continuously work on recovery.

You see so many disgruntled degenerates leaving negative reviews on here that I hesitated to leave my own because I hate to be lumped in with a crowd. However I'll start with the positive because there are in fact a few positive things about Center of Hope. IF and only if, because keep in mind over my time here I've gone through six different counselors, if you happen to get a good counselor like I have been so lucky to get this time around they will truly do whatever they can to help you in whatever situation you're facing. Keep in mind the turnover here is disturbing but props go to the few golden apples in the bunch. The nursing staff is compromised of very sweet very kind human beings who know what they're doing. The two ladies at the front counter, I'm so sorry I still don't know your names, but they're also awesome. The dosing window is hit or miss but there are some superstars there and they know I'm talking about them. It can't be said I didn't give props where props are due. I can't speak for everyone but I can speak for my experience where in the past 2 months I've gone three times to pick up my doses that are scheduled at a weekly dispense rate and had them not be ready. Obviously if you're a bum without a job this isn't a problem but unfortunately for some of us we have morning jobs. If you are going to be a methadone clinic who charges people the price that you charge them for their medication you should probably make sure you either A) have enough or B) you hire a pharmacist that's there to dispense it when you drop the ball and don't have what you need to have ready when it should be. I kind of feel like if you spent more money on procuring a pharmacist who didn't quit after a month and less money on handing out hot dogs to your patients at 6:00 in the morning maybe- just maybe- you'd have less problems and less angry people on your hands. Secondly trying to lower your dose here is a joke. If someone could please explain the logic to me that they will raise you without question to extraordinarily high levels but when it comes time and you want to come down from those levels they balk. Not only do they want to drop you at such a low level it literally takes forever, they then pregnancy test like it's going out of style. While I understand that they're concerned if someone was pregnant they wouldn't want the fetus to face withdrawal symptoms I think maybe it would be beneficial to consider this when you were getting people addicted to the substance and not when they were trying to get off of it. All in all I get it ... This is America freedom of choice and all that jazz and if I don't like what's going on there... Get off it. Well my friends I'm happy to say I am and you won't have to read any more reviews like this. But if you considering this place or even just methadone in the long run do your research, and don't be like me, get in and get out at the lowest dose you can because they will aggravate you to no end if you don't.

This place saved my life. They have a great director and the staff listen and care. If you have Medicaid you can dose free and even get free rides. No one out there should be suffering hell on earth withdrawals as long as this place is open. But like always, grown adults cry like little children if they mess up and have to face the consequences. Such as getting your take home meds taken away and having to go everyday. If you decided to get high and then have a dirty screen that is on YOU. In this regard it's like a daycare Center for childish adults. If you do the program as you should you can get your life back.

Some of the workers here do not extend human decency or kindness to the service users or non-service users. A little human kindness can go a long way. A lot of people end up here because of cruelty and generated habits that affected them earlier in life. Be kind don't be a that. It's a public place.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Clients who have just completed detox, those who are in crisis, and those with a history of relapse often require treatment in an inpatient rehab. These facilities provide high-level supervision, structure, and support, allowing clients to focus on their recovery away from their addiction triggers. Most inpatient treatment programs center upon various forms of psychotherapy, including CBT, DBT, RBT, and motivational interviewing. Clients may also receive recovery-focused life skills training and evidence-based holistic therapies, such as massage.

Persons engaged in a 12 step program regularly attend group meetings in their communities, though online sessions are becoming increasingly popular. 12 step recovery is rooted in spiritual principles that enable participants to address the root causes of addiction and to foster self-awareness, compassion, acceptance, and accountability. Peer sponsors support participants as they work through the steps of recovery. Most programs are non-denominational, but specialized formats, including the faith-based Celebrate Recovery! format, are available.

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Choosing a drug rehab in South Carolina helps you overcome drug dependency, learn how to manage cravings, and obtain the tools needed to prevent relapse. This is accomplished through individualized treatment that addresses a full spectrum of physical, social, and emotional needs.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

The main basis of cognitive behavioral therapy in South Carolina is that all your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected. Therefore, the therapist will help you change your thoughts, which will lead to different emotions and actions.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

There are four fundamental processes to motivational interviewing in South Carolina. Engaging involves careful listening to understand the client's perspective. Focusing involves reaching an agreement on the purpose of the treatment. Evoking is the process of exploring the client's ideas and motivations. Planning explores how the client can make changes.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Accreditations

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is a branch of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Established in 1992 by congress, SAMHSA's mission is to reduce the impact of substance abuse and mental illness on American's communities.
