Boca Recovery Center is a luxury drug treatment facility with a location in beautiful Hunting, Indiana. They accept most major insurances and will check your coverage options days before you | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I called the narcotics anonymous hotline about my son and they arranged for us to take him to Boca. My son didn't really want to go, but he went and was so glad he did. He is now over 5 months clean and doing extremely well. Thank you, Boca, for giving me my son back. He had nothing but great things to say about the way he was treated at your facility. When we picked up my son, we could see that the staff was very caring. There were hugs and tears from my son and others that he connected with. There was kind words and positivity from the staff. I would recommend Boca and I have to people who have asked. Thanks, again, Boca! ❤️

I made my main review at the Portage location if ya need advice on who to see. But wanted to shout out Micah the psychiatrist who works at this location. I’m a force to be reckon with to put it nicely but he passed the test most don’t for me. I came from having a psychiatrist who knew me for years to having to switch to Micah so I already wasn’t thrilled about it because I get the ick to easily from people. But he has been a breathe of fresh air honestly. He truly listens, not just listens to give a reply and answer, but he understands and comprehends it and that’s important. Especially a gem of a person after having to deal with me at an appointment when I’m in a manic episode cause if you know about those BPD manic episodes then you know how intense you can be. He may have had a lil fear in his eyes seeing me in that moment but he dealt with it with such care and understanding and respect even in the hardest moments. If you get lucky enough to have Micah as your psychiatrist, ask him about the large picture he has framed in his office, he’s got some pretty cool stories to tell that are guaranteed to make ya giggle.

Parkdale is a premier substance abuse facility offering personalized treatment in Chesterton, Indiana. They cater to the unique addiction issues faced by professionals. They offer withdrawal management services and convenient outpatient programs for those who need more flexibility to continue regular activities while getting treatment. Although th | Treatments Programs Payment Options | After completing inpatient rehabilitation, I transitioned into the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at Parkdale Center and I can say with my whole heart that it was one of the most life-changing and soul-healing experiences I’ve ever had. Parkdale didn’t just help me continue my recovery, they helped me to continue to find myself again. They believed in me, held space for my pain, and gave me the tools and encouragement to continue to rise stronger than I ever thought possible.
From the leadership to the support staff, everyone at Parkdale exudes compassion, professionalism, and a deep commitment to healing. But what makes Parkdale truly exceptional are people like Rigo and Claudia. They treated me not like a number or a case, but like family. There was zero judgment, only humility, kindness, and an unwavering belief in my potential. Rigo felt like a steady big brother, firm when needed, but always full of heart. Claudia radiates warmth and made me feel safe, seen, and cared for in a way that felt almost sacred. These two, and so many others at Parkdale (like Dr. Chris, Denise, Ty, David) restored my faith in people and reminded me that recovery is possible when you’re surrounded by those who genuinely care.
Parkdale is the best at what they do because they combine clinical excellence with human connection. Their program isn’t just about sobriety, it’s about rebuilding your life with dignity, strength, and purpose. If someone I love ever needed help, Parkdale is the place I would trust.

I have been coming here for years and honestly love the place. My therapist has helped me grow in ways I didn't think possible. Reviews show a negative outlook on the receptionists, but every experience I have had with them was warm, welcoming, and full of patience and laughter. Kouts, Indiana | If your children have mental or behavioral problems, then Midwest Center for Youth and Families may be what they need to get back on their feet. It’s a residential center in Kouts, Indiana. They help girls ages 10-18 and boys from 12-18. If your income isn’t that high, they do accept Indiana Medicaid. When your kids are admitted, they’ll get | Treatments Programs Payment Options | so i was a patient here i literally discharged yesterday. this place has a bad star rating but honestly this place is not bad my first 3 to 7 days were the worst days of my entire stay there because I just cried every day and I really wanted to go home but staff was always there to comfort me and tell me that I can do my treatment and I was gonna be OK and I’m gonna get better and I’m gonna go home the facility the day room and our bedrooms are not the best but they’re also not the worst. we decorate the unit sometimes to brighten up the place and it does look good. The cafeteria is pretty big and the food is decent. I’m gonna say that we would get like cauliflower and it would have a little mold spots on it, but it wasn’t every time it was just a couple times If it had mold on it and we would switch it out for something else. The broccoli it was smell funky so I was scared to eat it, but I don’t know if it went bad we do only get 10 minute showers and 10 minute phone calls so that’s not the best and we also rarely go outside and the staff here was very nice. I was on East unit and I feel like I learned a lot my therapist. She helped me a lot family sessions. She helped. She taught me a lot of skills. The unit taught me lots of skills in the school programming there it is fairly good. there was a couple fights on the unit, but they never lasted. Staff always heard them arguing and always got into the middle of it. The only reason they got to fight is because they hit around staff and they did get punished for it fairly and if you there is like a lot of precautions, there’s like SP precautions SH precautions SI precautions, AP, EP and you can you put on those if you show that behavior SP precautions if you’re saying you have a plan to un alive yourself and it can be feasibly carried out in the hospital you’ll get put on SPS if you’re saying you want to you or are gonna do it you’re gonna get put on sp ap is being aggressive yeah just stuff like that. You’ll learn all about it and it’s honestly not bad. You just have to do your treatment and not fight it and you will you will have a good time. oh also they do make you eat 50% of all meals and I’m pretty sure if you eat less than that you get put on fall precautions and you have to wear a hard helmet to make sure that you don’t fall in hit your head so this place is also for like eating disorders and just anybody that doesn’t eat regularly. We have to eat 50% of breakfast 50% of lunch 50% of dinner so it does help. But I’d like to thank the facility for helping me and just just I don’t know like it was just a good facility and I would definitely recommend someone to go there

I was there in 2016. Worst time of my life. When I first was there I was terrified. They gave me space to cry and answered my questions when I was ready to talk. Most of the staff were nice. They were there to do a job and did it well. Patrice tho…she was a piece of work! Def mouthy and mean to the girls. Very two faced and carefree. She was there to get a check that’s it. Teacher Matt was amazing! The lead Courtney was there for me when I needed to cry. She was inspiring. And Bob…she was amazing to. The girls I was in there with were nice and i definitely made friends even tho thats not the reason I was there. The people changed my life and helped me heal. It felt like I was at summer camp and was having a giant sleepover almost every night! Made me feel better even tho I was hundreds of miles away from home.

This program is extremely adaptable, it is up to the residents to help create the environment they need to grow in.
I was at SSA for nearly four months, and there I (as well as my family) have learned absolutely the most therapeutically there compared to anywhere else. Any other 1:1 therapist, any other group therapy, inpatient, IOP, rehab, anything. This program fully immerses you inside of a place of DBT and support. There are 100% difficult times here, as there are anywhere, and at the same time, there are constantly tools provided to assist with these times.
You hear horror stories of residentials locking adolescents in their rooms, starving them, refusing to engage or provide helpful tools to them, restraining unnecessarily, using them to clean/as tools etc- but this is NOT one of those places.
This place is SAFE. This means the necessities. AND THEN THEY HAVE MORE.
Like I said, this program is very adaptable. Every group of adolescents that comes in has a say in the adjustment of the growing experience here. This ranges from just voicing your opinion in general, to leveling up and becoming a member of what they call resident council. Resident council makes changes to how the floor is run with the staff and helps teach the skills.
This was something I commonly did. I made changes on the unit for my group, I lead informational groups and games all the time.
There are resident lead groups, BHW groups, therapy groups, nursing groups, pet and equine therapy- and more.
Here you are allowed to have fun, to engage and live and progress, but this means working the program. You can't hide things here, fake your way through, stay blunted. You will not have a good experience here if you can't work the program. And that will be part of it for a lot of people, having to go here to learn HOW TO open themselves up and be part of the program. It does take time to regulate to it, but being willing is important. At some point.
A lot of these other reviews are pulling the negatives from the positives. This is likely the safest place in a several state radius for any adolescent. There are caring staff here, someone your child WILL click with and find as their safe person, and it will be okay for them. It has been extremely helpful and educational for me, and my family.
Brendon, the shift coordinator for the South Shore unit, is extremely well educated and skillful. He's been working in mental health for 10+ years. He is trained very thoroughly in DBT- and more areas of therapy. Everyone that comes here will always remember him, there's no doubt about that. He leaves an educational mark on just about anyone. He will consistently lead BHW groups, teaching residents and even staff about useful DBT skills, takes residents to equine therapy, he leads the resident council activities, and more.
I frequently call back onto the unit floor and talk to him, as well as other staff members. They are consistently there for old and new residents.
Cloe Carda, a therapist here, is THE MOST wise, well-spoken, helpful, skillful, and caring person I have met. She has been solely the most supportive person there to me and many others. She is always willing to take on every situation she is faced with, and she is more than prepared to do so. I've never been more impressed with any mental health professional. I actually miss her each day, and I'm more than thankful I met her and the Midwest team.
