Porter stark mental health in valparaiso was very kind , Mason, dr. Verma , lou, nick , Steve, we'll the whole staff was super kind and understanding. Very professional and very good with group therapy sessions while I was there.

I made my main review at the Portage location if ya need advice on who to see. But wanted to shout out Micah the psychiatrist who works at this location. I’m a force to be reckon with to put it nicely but he passed the test most don’t for me. I came from having a psychiatrist who knew me for years to having to switch to Micah so I already wasn’t thrilled about it because I get the ick to easily from people. But he has been a breathe of fresh air honestly. He truly listens, not just listens to give a reply and answer, but he understands and comprehends it and that’s important. Especially a gem of a person after having to deal with me at an appointment when I’m in a manic episode cause if you know about those BPD manic episodes then you know how intense you can be. He may have had a lil fear in his eyes seeing me in that moment but he dealt with it with such care and understanding and respect even in the hardest moments. If you get lucky enough to have Micah as your psychiatrist, ask him about the large picture he has framed in his office, he’s got some pretty cool stories to tell that are guaranteed to make ya giggle.

Thank you to everyone at Change, thanks to them, I really made a CHANGE in my life, I don't know what would be of me or my family if I hadn't received the help they offered me; the therapy that I received in this place was the best of the best for me, it helped me to see my problems from another point of view to be able to face them, they always took more time allocated in order to help me personally. I’ve never written a review like this before, but Belinda at Regional Health absolutely deserves it. She is, without exaggeration, the sweetest and most genuinely caring person I have ever dealt with at any establishment. I’ve never even met her in person, yet she has treated me with more kindness, consistency, and dedication than most people you meet face-to-face.
Belinda goes above and beyond in every way. She helped me find an amazing doctor, made sure my medications were taken care of, and anytime she said she would do something, I knew for a fact it would get done. No doubts. No chasing. No stress.
There were days she even made late calls just to make sure everything was handled for me, then followed up to confirm things went smoothly.
It’s rare to find someone in healthcare who brings this level of compassion and follow-through. She has made my life a million times easier, and I’m genuinely grateful for her. If every healthcare system had a “Belinda,” the world would be a much better place.

Although I was in the schedule for my surgery the times I was getting was 12pm,then 5pm, then 7pm. My surgery didn’t start till maybe 6pm but I was prepped at 8-9am long time to wait huh. Well I was a little frustrated but I got over it after I finally was getting told I was goin back. I got to meet my little girl downside of the whole thing was they were always short staffed on labor and delivery floor so things were either slow or just never came but other than that you guys did a great job i was done with my surgery very quickly, the anesthesiologist talked me thru everything to reassure not was I comfortable but ok before anything became a issue the music selection for my surgery was tea🤏🏾🤏🏾 I got to song along for my surgery which was a 10/10😫😊&& my Ob/doctor was amazing real big shoutout to her!!!! My daughter is healthy and I got to choice when I wanted to go home😊🤞🏾

This place turned my life around although some people were there using it as a shelter what they were doing was none of my business at that time because the focus was on me. Some questions I have if anyone is kind enough to please answer them for me:
1. Can she bring in a vape pen? (Tobacco)
2. How do phone calls go?
3. How does visiting go? If I don’t have an ID, can I be denied entry?
4. Any helpful advice you have for me to help her adjust when she gets back home?
5. Any tips/ insider info you could give me to tell her to help her stay be more comfortable?!

I have referred a couple of my patients to SunCloud. One of my favorite things about SunCloud is that they treat the individual, not the disease. Also they treat co-occurring disorders and get to the underlying cause. The one thing my patients always talk about is the community that is built with other patients and the treatment team. I was in Suncloud’s Residential, PHP, and IOP program for 5 months and it changed the course of my life. The outpatient trauma & PTSD program has been a lifesaver for me. The entire team led by Dr. Natalie Gela is incredibly skilled, compassionate, and deeply committed to the healing process. They create an environment where it’s possible to be vulnerable, make progress, and feel genuinely cared for.

Composes, incredible! Our son was really having a hard time with school refusal and kept wiping out in classes because he’s on the spectrum. When things got really bad this year we pulled him out and sent him to compass where he learned a lot of skills to calm down. He learned to cognitive behavioral therapy and a couple of different techniques similar to that which he now carries around in a binder. We were also able to use compass to transition to another school, and the team was just incredible. They went above and beyond… Not just helping him learn the skills but frankly, they were very genuinely fond of him. He’s going to miss them a lot, and this is his first week out of the program… He keeps talking about how proud of him they were when he graduated! I cannot recommend them enough.

Im on day 5 of a jury trial. I've been a patient for 4 years. I went from 16mg down to 1mg. I haven't touched an opiate since Dec of 2021.
Today, God forbid, I come in on a schefuled appointment, a day early, on a month prescription. Why? Because I happened to run out 24 hours early due to difficulties weening off subs. Something that a doctor would likely expect and appreciate.

Next month, instead of giving you full disclosure i'll tell you a fairytale. That must be so much more productive. Do you think I disclose the truth because I'm an idiot? No, it's because I actually trust professionals. You breached it.
I don't want special treatment. However, if you're going to play a petty game, have the guts to say it to my face.
I can't come tomorrow morning and show you my half strip. That doesn't mean I'm selling the sub strips or some other ridiculous concern. I have children who need to get to school and/or a babysitter and then I need to be in court for a trial.

I continue to trust Symetria staff with my life and have not been disappointed. I did not show up for a few days because I was sick….the staff there called me every day until I answered, and they got me to come back in for my treatment and back on track. It is rare to find people who truly care about you as an individual, Symetria is one of the rare companies with people who care.

I love this lil gem that's been a Godsend in my life. I never knew this Dr's ofc was inside as I drove many times past. It's an AWESOME place for those who suffer from depression or any mental illness. I love it bcuz it's one stop shop w/psychiatry Dr's & therapists together in a small, intimate, private setting. The Dr's are phenomenal & the therapists are excellent. I've been suffering w/depression for awhile now going from Dr. to Dr. on the same meds that weren't helping, looking for someone long term to help me. I've been here nearly 5 weeks & feel a million times better than when I orginally walked in. The medication (if needed) & therapy together work wonders. I'm so relieved to have found this place & finally am seeing a light at the end of a very dark tunnel.

I have been seeing my psychiatrist there for 3 years. Dr. Godbolt is great! She takes her time and has given me a new hope on life. NOW, The after hours answering service is another story! They rarely pass your message to your Dr. They are very disrespectful. I just called the answering service a few minutes ago. I have terrible insomnia and I've been awake for 3 days. I'm hallucinating because I have been up for so long. At first she was not going to contact my doctor because she said they don't do psychiatry after hours.. what is that? Then I told her that I have been awake for 3 days and I am starting to hallucinate and she said hold on came back two minutes later and said you know what just call back at 8:30 in the morning that's all I can do for you. Something just doesn't seem right there

I finally found a great doctor's office...NP Shan Brown is an amazing person incredibly understanding and knowledgeable the nurse that took me to the back is great and the receptionists are very professional and friendly, I've been there twice with no more then a 5 min wait..this place is amazing compared to any other aunt Martha's I've been to!

I really want to take the time to extend the utmost thanks to my care team at Saint Francis Hospital. I wish I could remember my physician’s name but her and the team that worked alongside her, Cole and Alexandra? (I’m so sorry to forget or butcher names) gave the best care a patient could receive. I had a horrible panic attack after having a good day and they reassured me, listened to me and advocated for me. As a Black woman, that’s not always something I have had the privilege to experience consistently in my healthcare journey.
I want to thank each one of you so much for your professionalism, encouragement, and most importantly the passion that anyone can see rooted in all 3 of you being healthcare workers.
If there is any way that all three of them could please receive recognition beyond verbal gratitude, I would extremely appreciate Saint Francis Hospital executing that. I had never been to rehab before. I told Myself I would be able to get Myself better by Myself. It doesn't work that way. I went to Branden House and they helped me so much more than I thought I needed. It's hard at first... Discipline and withdrawal. I had a hard time everyday at first trying to not cry but they all welcomed my healing tears. I feel so much better about society today knowing that there is places like this with caring people out there for struggling people such as myself. God bless Branden House.

I was appalled when I tried to receive treatment help. After months of back and forth with incoherent messages from staff about joining. I was finally let in a group. After a few semi worthwhile sessions, I was banned from the group by counselor Valerie with no reason or explanation. My emails where never responded to and I was completely ignored. Then I got a message to join a different group. I was then placed in a group with a counselor with little to no counseling experience and no actual group members. The entire experience was not only extremely unprofessional but it was also very detrimental. I definitely would avoid this place if you want and true professional help. There are better treatment locations and services than this terrible place.

If ZERO stars was a option that's exactly what I'd give this location! Employees here are very rude, ignorant and unprofessional! I had an appointment today at 11am and one for my son at 12pm, I arrived at 10:52am and checked the both of us in, we sat in the waiting room till about 11:08-11:10 since my appointment was first I expected my name to be called first and once my appointment was finished I'd head over to my sons appointment, however they ended up calling my sons name first so as soon as I approached the lady that called his name I let her know that I had an appointment for myself at 11am, she informed me that she'd let them know so that I WOULDN'T miss my appointment. They checked his vitals took us to the room. I reminded them once again that I had a appointment at 11am but they didn't call my name when I was up front just in case they forgot, at about 11:16-11:20 the lady that did his vitals comes to the room and lets me know that they are calling my name, the doctor that was attending my son was very kind and said to leave his stuff in the room and to go up front so they can get me checked in, when I walked to the front i told the front desk lady and she said that I wasn't there for my appointment when when I explained to her what happened she stood quiet as if she didn't know what to say. Another lady very rude with attitude said she wasn't here so the appointments been cancelled, then the other girl proceeded to say well you need to be in the front when they call your name we won't be taking you today. The division location would never be this unsympathetic!

I have been looking for therapy for over a year, and was so happy to get a call back from C4, and get an intake appointment setup. Even when I had to reschedule, it took emails and phone calls to get it done. On the day of the zoom appointment, the intake specialist never showed up, and never responded to my email after. Now reading all of these reviews, I'm starting to believe I dodged a bullet.
UPDATE: So eventually I got another call from someone else with C4. The experience with Edwidge there has been completely different. She is kind, organized and is doing wonderful establishing a patient relationship with my son.

It was horrible and a complete waste of time. We went due to depression issues. They had a “professional” that deals with kids do an adults assessment. Somehow the lady doing the assessment and the dr turned it into a drinking issue and ordered IOP. This person is a recovering alcoholic that is dealing with depression due to a lot of family issues. They needed to be observed or something like that and learn coping skills for that type of thing. Not be made to feel like a piece of crap about the past drinking that’s not an issue now. That’s what happens when a children’s professional does an assessment on an adult. Very unprofessional
