One of the better VA clinics I've been to. I've not had any issues here, unlike other VA hospitals. The doctors here seem to actually listen to what you say. Amazing.

I’ve been taking my son here since he was born and that’s 1 year and a half now. The nurse always schedule multiple appointments ahead of time because the doctor is always booked which I like. The wait time is never long and I love my son’s doctor, Dr. Diagle.

Usually go here to get my blood work, the staff are nice and patient with you, and usually get you in n out. I have a bad experience with blood taking and my body usually reacts badly, but the staff there usually help me out if I do. Overall, very nice place.

My psychiatrist recommended Suncloud because I was going through a really tough time in my life. I was hesitant because I was at another treatment facility and didn't have a great experience. I was pleasantly surprised when I came to Suncloud because the staff were all so kind and genuinely cared about helping you. Their process groups can be tough but are so helpful in working through your trauma. It's been a year now since I started treatment and I can confidently say that I learned the skills and created an amazing support group that have helped me be in such a better place. Even after you're out of treatment, they have an awesome alumni group with plenty of opportunities to connect with others that have gone through similar things. I highly recommend Suncloud.

This place turned my life around although some people were there using it as a shelter what they were doing was none of my business at that time because the focus was on me. Everything from the food, meetings, nurses, and even social activities were nice they really helped me stay clean for over 10 years now ❤️❤️❤️

Some questions I have if anyone is kind enough to please answer them for me:
1. Can she bring in a vape pen? (Tobacco)
2. How do phone calls go?
3. How does visiting go? If I don’t have an ID, can I be denied entry?
4. Any helpful advice you have for me to help her adjust when she gets back home?
5. Any tips/ insider info you could give me to tell her to help her stay be more comfortable?!
6. What’s one thing you wish you brought to treatment but forgot? Anything you suggest to bring??

I went to gateway rehabilitation and the food was good. But the best part of my experience was my counselor. Virginia Garcia was absolutely fabulous. She went above and beyond her duty for me. She made me feel at ease and answered all my questions. She is lovely and kind. Ty Virginia.

I’m in Cindy Fishers IOP and it is by far the best IOP that I have been in. It has helped me so much! I find myself using everything I learn in her class. She is a great counselor and a great example!

To all veterans, I highly recommend this VA hospital. I had major surgery here and everyone is top notch.

When I came to Symetria I was fairly depressed about my abuse of alcohol. I knew it wasn’t who I truly was and I needed the help to recognize positive ways to help me identify what I was doing that put me into a downward cycle of binge drinking. Through the Intensive Outpatient program coupled with Individual counseling and attending SMART meetings I discovered a clear path to follow to stop what I was doing and move forward in life without alcohol. I’m proud to say I’m coming up on 4 months completely alcohol free and it feels amazing! The staff at Symetria absolutely cares about each individual’s success and they put the person first. Not once did I feel like I was being judged or categorized. If you need help Symetria is the place to go!

I am so thankful for this clinic and especially the workers (Jessica , Elsa , Erin and Maria) I want to thank you guys for all the hard work you guys do, also for always being nice , comforting and supportive. The Staff at Symetria Recovery ( Deborah, Anna , Maria, Elsa , etc..) all treat their patients like family. They are all so Caring, Loving and Supportive. That makes the road to recovery that much easier. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone thats struggling with any kind of substance abuse.

This was our first time experience in this hospital. We were treated very nice by all the staff. They were very helpful. The rooms and hospital is very clean... ER doctors saved my husband's life... very, very thankful for all of them. Doctors that preformed surgery were checking in evwry day.. we were always updated on what's the next step.ICU staff so so thankful for making us feel safe..Mitchell 1 and Mitchell 2, Beata and Nora thank you for everything you have done for us!

Such a transformative experience! Naturally, the reviews you read for addiction treatment centers are going to skew negative but don't let that deter you if you believe you need help. Not only did I have an amazing experience with staff, I've built a strong foundation of community among my peers who were also seeking treatment. While encouraged by their use of an evidenced-based model, the incorporation of the 12-steps had me skeptical at first but now I'm fully committed. If you feel the 12 steps aren't for you, they also provide information about alternatives such as SMART Recovery and Recovery Dharma. My one complaint would be that I had chosen to participate in the in-person IOP during intake, but was somehow placed into the virtual IOP. Once it was recognized it was a quick fix and it didn't impact my start date or anything like that.

I choose to take part of the Symetria program voluntarily and it was one of the best decisions of my life! Not only are the staff like family, so are the individuals that pick Symetria too. Now days, customer service is pathetic and people are rude and most push you out the door, but not here. This place has the warm feeling like "The door is always open", and "how can we help you", We are here for you, it doesn't matter the time or the day, we care about you. You're a shining star and a success, not a failure. This place is secure, confidential, clean and has several options to help you along your journey. You are able to volunteer your time, make new friends and can help save a life, change a life and feel proud of who you are. Brian and John from Naperville are excellent group leaders (you are lucky if you get to meet them), and (Chris from Vernon Hills is a great counselor, who will make the time to ensure your needs are met). Symetria all the way!

Symetria creates an environment where people feel safe, supported, and valued. The morning IOP group supported me through the hardest part of my life and I will forever be grateful for the amazing people I met. I think each one of us in the group looked forward to our time together in that healing place. Our counselor Brian is an expert in his field. He led our group through many difficult topics and conversations and did so with enormous compassion. Individual sessions with Brian were always insightful. Brian has a unique way of making each of his clients feel good about themselves. If you struggle with addiction and are looking for a place where you can start to make changes, I highly recommend Naperville's IOP program. Thank you for helping me change my life.
It’s incredibly difficult to capture in a few sentences the positive changes I have experienced in my life due to my time at Positive Sobriety Institute. The saying “you get what you put in” is a very apt one. PSI helped me set a foundation that has changed my life in a way that merely must be witnesses. There’s a reason I only have Just For Today. PSI gave me the toolkit needed to get over the one year hump of being clean from alcohol, drugs, and other terrible things. I am forever in their debt. I only have JFT, may you find this place as well, do the footwork, so that “no addict ever need die from the horrors of addiction”. Thy will be done. cheers.

Entered with a high level of apprehension, low expectations and uncertainty. My experience here exceeded my expectations. The group of individuals and the process help build a very stable foundation for me. The psi leadership group st all levels weee outstanding. While the results are yet to unfold I left a better person and a solid vision of the future my group associates many have continued the connection through our journey.

A staff of expert professionals run PSI. They have great insight and know how to get right to where it counts. Definitely the best place together help with addiction in the Chicago area
Been going to Family Guidance for awhile now and I absolutely recommend this methadone clinic to anyone struggling with opiate addiction. The staff are mostly friendly and it's easy to get into the clinic within a day or two. Once you get to the correct methadone dose the dope sickness is mostly gone and then you can slowly get back to a normal life. I've had a few counselors since going here and all were nice and professional but my current one Gary is Awesome. He seems to really care and is always helpful. I would most likely be dead if I didn't sign up at Family Guidance. If you're looking for a way to stop using dope give this clinic a try.

Stepping Stones is a wonderful treatment center. You get back what you put in. The staff are wonderful and have treated me with nothing but respect. IRT was great. And the MEC is what you make of it.

I was in Suncloud’s Residential, PHP, and IOP program for 5 months and it changed the course of my life. When I went in I was suffering from anxiety, depression, severe substance abuse, grief, and trauma. Today I am 5 months sober from alcohol, weed, marijuana, and nicotine, I’m enrolled in school, go to the gym, and am working towards my career. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life but I’m thankful I put in the work and showed up everyday. The staff here are some of the most compassionate, hardworking, and dedicated people and I’m so thankful to them for helping me navigate the good, the bad, and the CONFUSING parts of recovery. I’m proud of the work we were able to accomplish here and will forever cherish the lessons learned and relationships made here.

If you are a parent reading this, I know how hard it can be when your child struggles with anxiety or depression or any mental health issues. Looking into a PHP or IOP program is never on a parent’s expected list of experiences they think they will have with their child. The outpatient trauma & PTSD program has been a lifesaver for me. The entire team led by Dr. Natalie Gela is incredibly skilled, compassionate, and deeply committed to the healing process. They create an environment where it’s possible to be vulnerable, make progress, and feel genuinely cared for.
The combination of group therapy structure, individualized attention, and evidence-based approaches made all the difference for me. I’ve learned tools I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life, and I'll be leaving with more hope and strength than I ever thought possible.

Composes, incredible! Our son was really having a hard time with school refusal and kept wiping out in classes because he’s on the spectrum. When things got really bad this year we pulled him out and sent him to compass where he learned a lot of skills to calm down. He learned to cognitive behavioral therapy and a couple of different techniques similar to that which he now carries around in a binder. We were also able to use compass to transition to another school, and the team was just incredible. They went above and beyond… Not just helping him learn the skills but frankly, they were very genuinely fond of him. He’s going to miss them a lot, and this is his first week out of the program… He keeps talking about how proud of him they were when he graduated! I cannot recommend them enough.
I decided to confront my Alcoholic urges even though I quit in 1983 , a van came to Sparc , a shelter I was in , I dared to get in Above And Beyond Van , was counseled and applied my self into my classes . I have no regrets 😁 . I am free and I am unbelievably Happy. There are some in worse shape hooked on things unbelievable, Come to Above And Beyond and be Free from your MASTER, your HABITS .I got a birth certificate ,state id , social security card, drivers license,I am not in Sparcs ,I am in my own apartment with free furniture . I hope the same for YOU !
I really enjoyed the program here at Banyan Chicago. The staff here was very helpful with assisting me in my new recovery journey as well as my goals. I am about to complete PHP and continue my treatment with telehealth IOP. I recommend Banyan Chicago for anyone looking for help that is struggling. They were a great support.

Being at Banyan has been an absolutely transformative experience to say the least. My recovery journey from where I started before Banyan to where I am now after Banyan has been a complete 360, and I owe it to the staff and the knowledge that Banyan provided me. Amanda, Payton, Maggie, Alexis, and Mike are the best recovery counselors I've ever worked with before, and its been a privilege to work with and learn from such state of the art individuals. I'm actually heartbroken to be leaving this program, because their help has been so impactful. I look forward to going to Banyan Alumi meetings in the future, and I want to say a big thank you to all those who helped me along my journey to recovery.
