Brightside has been my saving grace! This is the place to go if you are serious about recovery and beating addiction! Everyone from the front desk staff, office managers, providers and techs are absolutely amazing. They don’t make you feel embarrassed to face your addiction. This is a safe judgment free environment. I’ve never seen any office that everybody is amazing! You usually have one bad apple in the bunch but not here. You can talk to them about anything and know they will be there to listen and give you feedback. I owe my life to all of the providers. Linda K is my current provider and she is absolutely amazing. She listens and don’t judge. She will make you feel comfortable instantly talking to her. Recovery is not easy but when you are surrounded by people who genuinely want to help you it gives you the strength to maintain your sobriety knowing you aren’t in this fight alone! i thank each and everyone at Brightside!! Overall, my experience at Gateway Chicago was exceptional and overwhelmingly positive. From the moment I arrived, I was treated with dignity, respect, and genuine compassion. The food was good, the staff was outstanding, and my counselor, Nate, was incredibly helpful throughout my stay. Supervisor Herb is highly professional and, as he often says, he "gets things done" for the clients—a statement I personally witnessed time and time again. His leadership has had a tremendous impact on the men's unit, and he deserves recognition for creating an environment where clients feel supported, respected, and encouraged to succeed. I would also like to recognize Mike, Muhammad, Kenny, Kevin, Richard, Eva, Prentice, Katelyn, China, Mr. B, and Dale. Dale's classes are engaging, informative, and inspiring, and his passion for recovery is evident in every interaction he has with clients. Every one of these staff members demonstrated professionalism, compassion, patience, and dedication. They treated not only me but every client with kindness and respect, making recovery feel possible and giving people hope during one of the most difficult times in their lives. Gateway Chicago, located at 3828 West Taylor Street, Chicago, Illinois 60624, did far more than provide substance abuse treatment—it helped bring sanity, clarity, and serenity back into my life. The staff consistently went above and beyond to accommodate my needs and the needs of others. I witnessed countless acts of generosity and compassion. For example, today the facility distributed an abundance of quality clothing to clients. Priority was given to those who arrived with nothing, and after everyone in need was taken care of, there were still enough clothes for others. It was just one of many examples of how Gateway genuinely cares about the people they serve. The facility itself is clean and well maintained. The beds are comfortable, clients receive three meals a day along with a snack, and the overall atmosphere promotes healing and recovery. While anyone can find something to criticize about any organization, I found very few, if any, faults with Gateway Chicago. My overall experience exceeded my expectations. I am sincerely grateful to the ownership, the corporate leadership, and every member of the staff for the hard work, compassion, passion, and dedication they show every day to individuals seeking recovery. Most importantly, I am grateful that Gateway helped me regain peace of mind, hope for the future, and the serenity I had been missing for so long. I wholeheartedly recommend Gateway Chicago to anyone seeking treatment. Their commitment to helping people rebuild their lives is evident in everything they do, and I will always be thankful for the care and support I received there.

Great place to go and have some good staff members. So thankful for the experience and gateway fot saving my life. Highly recommended. Some people come just to get a certificate. I came and earned mine with all the knowledge they had. So thankful to this program. I was hesitant at first but glad I came into the program.

Most grateful for this treatment center on my 7th anniversary sober from alcohol. The seeds Hazeldon planted saved my life! Shame on whoever is letting Susan Nice run meetings out of your building. She let a stranger stroke my leg her entire meeting and never stopped it once. Had the audacity to ask if it was my boyfriend after. Knowing I live with PTSD from abuse being my longtime 'godsponsor'. She just spoke at the Canada opening. How are you letting someone so detached from reality speak to those in need of help? How many meetings has she been to? Her suggestions along with Laura Ws (whos Mom works with congress scary enough) and the ladies of AA in particular are reckless. Suggested I do my first lead of life and didnt show up. How many woman have you sponsored Laura? You suggested more fellowship and ditched me at my first AA dance. 2 ladies came to Windy City Church women's big book meeting on Mondays and felt so shamed the went home and killed themselves. Those ladies made me feel the same but I refuse to kill myself though your careless suggestions made me feel like I should. The ladies in AA arent doctors. Thanks for being professionals Hazeldon. Alano clubs are hot spots for gossip that's ruining lives. Grateful to be alive and sober. Thanks for starting my journey with me 14 years ago! Hiding under fake names to gain personal information is illegal too Tricia. Shame on all of you ladies.

I'm fairly new to getting regular healthcare from the VA but from my experiences so far I have had nothing but very good care and positive interactions, especially from the nurses and people at the front desk! Everyone is doing the best they can given how many veterans come and go throughout the hospital every single day. Suncloud has been a life saver. The staff was and is always welcoming and caring. One of the things that has been the most helpful for me has been the aftercare, follow ups and continued connection I get with them. It has become part of my family now and its a lifestyle. One of the things I lost in my life was a sense of being part of my community and having that desire to isolate from people. I dont feel that way anymore because of Suncloud. Now I have friends and people I really trust. Which is huge to me with my trust issues. Suncloud taught me that I cannot do this alone and showed me that I wasnt alone. This is a lifelong journey and my life is better now because I chose to do something about it, and Suncloud gave me the tools I needed. So I want to let anyone know who is looking into treatment Banyan was such a fantastic experience for me. I owe them such a debt of GRATITUDE. I am a middle-aged woman with kids who was struggling with drinking - life was just sad for me due to some pretty terrible trauma-I knew I needed to make a change and I came to Banyan. I was scared & ashamed. They treated me with such kindness. The program was well structured & professional. The financial obligation was manageable. Everyone there continues to check on my progress. I have completely been sober since I left and have a completely new life - A+ Banyan. I continue to have great friendships from my time there. Banyan in lisle iL, is absolutely amazing! From the 30 day residential to the PHP THEY WERE SO WECOMING! The classes and groups are great. PHP is awesome to they take us to church, grocery shopping, Walmart, and we do events!!! I would highly recommend this place to anyone getting sober.

Like many hospitals today, the ER wait was torture. It took 6 hours to get in, and I was admitted and stayed for two days. Even though the ER had no available beds, they kept me moving through the system. Blood tests, medications, necessary scans, etc. Once I got a room, the doctor was able to immediately start treating me. Due to the kindness of the staff and the care I received, I would do that wait again. This is the way medical care used to be 10 years ago, when you felt like the staff cared. The employees from registration, housekeeping, and those wonderful nurses and doctors are top-notch. Their reviews say it all. Most hospitals nowadays barely get 3 stars, let alone 4.5 stars. About a year prior to this ER visit, I switched our family physician to Dr. Cash out of UChicago. Just an outstanding, kind man with wonderful staff who truly care about you. Hats off UChicago for bringing back caring medical teams.

I heard about this facility from a friend and I decided to give it a try. The program works really well if you put in the work. I can't stand the negative reviews. YES I WAS THERE. Six months ago, I almost didn't stay but I did. Such incredible staff and an incredible program. Met some of the greatest people to ever want to change their life around. Residential was amazing. PHP also an incredible program attended both with full support from all staff and peers. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND RECOVERY WORKS TO ANYONE WHO WANTS TO BETTER THEMSELVES.

Been going to Family Guidance for awhile now and I absolutely recommend this methadone clinic to anyone struggling with opiate addiction. The staff are mostly friendly and it's easy to get into the clinic within a day or two. Once you get to the correct methadone dose the dope sickness is mostly gone and then you can slowly get back to a normal life. I've had a few counselors since going here and all were nice and professional but my current one Gary is Awesome. He seems to really care and is always helpful. I would most likely be dead if I didn't sign up at Family Guidance. If you're looking for a way to stop using dope give this clinic a try.

I see a lot of negative reviews on here and my experience might have been different due to my age (late 30s). I wanted to be at TK. I didn't have someone make the decision for me, although my husband was very supportive. Out of all the staff, there were only 2 I didn't like. Not that they were bad, just a clash with our personalities. I have epilepsy, it's chronic and active. I had to go home to have surgery (a replacement battery for the device that helps control my seizures). I was gone for about 36 hours. The staff was great with my seizures and with my surgery. I thought I was going to need to go back when my husband passed away, but I made it through. A lot of that I can credit TK with for giving me the tools to work with. The only problem I really had was leaving. Leaving was terrifying because that safety net just vanished. That is one thing I think the staff needs to prepare you a bit better for. I've been healthy since leaving. Sure, I still get the feelings/urges on occasion but I created my own safety net. I can control the urges. I'm actually rather proud of myself. PS - If any of the former staff ever reads this "Meany Mo-Mo" you know who you are. Thank you, for all you did. Your patience, your help, and just being there when I needed it. You literally are the best. <3

When I first came to Above And Beyond I thought I was just going to go just to satisfy my court orders. After the first day I was amazed at all my groups were designed for every problem i had . And boi did they address them. I really found out that drugs was just an experience and a very bad decision. I love Above And Beyond. PSI saved my life. The people here not only helped me want to live a healthier life, but they also helped me find my voice again. This was my second IOP program and honestly the service and care that I received was on a completely different level. Mike Geraci is one of the best therapists I've ever had the pleasure of working with. PSI and Mike went above and beyond for me and my peers to make sure that we finished the program ready to jump back into our lives. I also spent time and stayed at the sober living apartments through PSI and would highly recommend this choice. The apartment was comfortable and in a great location. The care I receive is outstanding! I have experienced a friendly atmosphere, warmth from the front desk, RN Brittany who took good care of me during my Pre Op. She is so thorough with the preparation, patient education so I know what to expect. Tish the PcT who also made me feel comfortable not to be worried and over think. I felt the sincerity and care that all patient should experience. Dr. Barkatullah is great, he made me feel secure and well guided of what to expect. Post op care Laarni, RN stood by me, when I woke up from the procedure , very patient, making sure I am recovered good. She gave my wife a thorough education, detailed d/c instructions , we didn't feel rush we took our time. Overall, they are all great! I had the best experience of Healing ministry of Christ. More power to you all.

Finding this treatment center was the moment everything changed for me. Before I walked through their doors, I felt completely lost, consumed by my addiction, and convinced that a healthy, happy life was out of reach. This center didn't just help me get sober and off of hard drugs; they gave me the tools, support, and hope I needed to rebuild my entire life from the ground up. ​ What sets this place apart is the incredible human connection. The staff, counselors, and medical team treat you with unwavering respect, dignity, and empathy from day one. In my darkest moments, when I couldn't see a way forward, they held the belief in my recovery until I was strong enough to hold it for myself. Their personalized, compassionate approach made me feel safe, heard, and truly understood rather than just another case file. ​I am writing this with a profound sense of peace and a clear mind that I haven't experienced in years. Saying "thank you" feels far too small for what they have done for me—they truly saved my life, and I will be forever grateful for this second chance. If you or someone you love is struggling, please know that healing is possible, and this is the place to find it. With that being said, It's unsettling to read some of these negative reviews knowing that they are the farthest thing from the truth. Unfortunately it's all too common a trait for someone like myself - to make everything else the problem except me. It's sad to know that these people leaving bad reviews didn't give themselves a chance by accepting what is so simply laid out in front of you the moment you walk through the doors of ECS ~ A WAY OUT! A better life. Better relationships. A comfort with myself that I didn't know was possible being sober/drug free. A desire to participate in society as a functioning human being! These were all things that did not exist less than a year ago but do now. But if I didn't make the decision that I wanted things to change the moment I walked in the door, then I'm almost certain that I would not be here today. ECS never lied to me or sugarcoated my problems. They never mistreated me. They simply expected me to respect my peers and the staff just as they did to me the moment I walked through the door. And I thank God I did! Some of us just simply aren't ready. And when that's the case we find them unable to accept accountability and work hard to change. I did find it hilarious how one of the "negative" reviews unintentionally said something positive by saying "these reviews are by people who work here" By saying that he admitted just one more way that Dr. Sharma helps us out! (I have never worked at ECS but I read through them all. And out of the 100 plus reviews only a handful are from employees but their voice counts just as much, if not more). But it is very cool that some people go through ECS and then are trusted enough to be employed by the very people who know their darkest days. Kudos ECS!

I'm very great full for this place it brought me hope and helped me get my life back in order I more than likely be dead if it wasn't for this place it.also brought me hope and a better way of living i would very likely recommend this place to people that need help
