Where do I begin? Not only was this my first-ever rehabilitation experience, but it was also the most eye-opening experience I have ever had. I was uncertain about what to expect and, ultimately, I made the best decision possible. The staff, whom I refer to as specialists, made me feel immediately at home, and my counselor, Mike, went above and beyond in his duties. The facility offers numerous perks, including exceptional cuisine, impeccable grounds, and a spectacular overall atmosphere. I must note that the nurses are exceedingly polite and attentive to their patients' needs, although I did find it somewhat disappointing that doctor visits were limited to only once. Personally, I did not experience any significant issues during my stay, aside from one supervisor who, I discovered, was not particularly friendly to either patients or staff. One of the highlights of the facility is the presence of Monarch butterflies, which are hatched on-site. Deb, one of the specialists, consistently displayed a warm and welcoming smile that brightened everyone's day. Marworth offers a wide range of activities to keep patients engaged, as well as tailored treatment plans for individuals requiring additional support. I commend the facility on its outstanding work.

I went to Marworth for the first time after relapsing after about 5 years sober. When I went there I was a wildly unpleasant person to be around. I hated the world and myself. I was truly terrible to most of the staff. My behavior was argumentative, smug and mean at best. They still welcomed me back 3 more times. I was eventually given Amy as my primary counselor and, she not only took the time to try and understand why I was like that but, she also challenged me to be better. Over my time there I had the chance to get to know the staff very well. They're good people. Who genuinely want to help people get to the life they're meant to have. The specialists, rec team, cafeteria workers,house keeping,security(the list goes on and on)are wonderful. That's what makes Marworth great. It's not the amenities. It's not the rock climbing wall, gym, cafeteria, or anything else you can think of. It's the people that make this place what it is. Is it perfect? Absolutely not, but nothing is. When I went in there looking for all the things that bothered me, I got nothing out of it. When I allowed them to help me, I got everything out of it.

The experience of clients is wholly dependent on the counselors. I had a good one. Clerical, billing and administrative all seem to genuinely be helpful. Most of your experience will be with the counselors, so yeah it'll really depend.
They may be able to help you realize triggers and non-consequential thinking. They can help to connect you with the treatment level appropriate, if any. They aren't selling a model of treatment or cajoling clients to be better. They expect if you're there, you're ready to be honest and open to the opinion of a professional. What you do with that information is yours. If you ask, they'll tell you how they can best help.
When seeing reviews for this place, please keep in mind the mindset of most people going to a county service and taking time to leave a review. Most people feel entitled to have access to these services instead of the privilege it is, so will often come at it from that viewpoint. I understand the county is not required to provide any services, but am grateful that they do.

I came to Silver Pines in a very bad mental state. I never thought I would ever see myself in a situation like this, but I am so thankful I went to Silver Pines. Being around others who were struggling and forming bonds and getting to know the staff was incredibly helpful. I was quite isolated in a lot of ways before I went and I feel like I can pick myself up now and take more control over my life. The groups, especially process groups, were very helpful and cathartic. Staff was also very understanding and encouraging. I want to thank Alisha, Doug, Deidre, Cat, Eddy, and many others (that I can't remember at this very moment, you were all fantastic though!) for all the support. The behavioral health techs were also fantastic. Of the BHT's, Tim really helped me to open up and he helped me immensely when I was getting familiar with the place and nervous in my first few days. When dealing with people who are struggling, that type of compassion is important and he really made the difference for me. Thank you again.

Moving Mountains exceeded every expectation I had for a treatment center. The team was amazing. They were compassionate, patient, and deeply committed to helping every person succeed. I've been to better and been to worse. They provide a therapeutic environment that allows clients the opportunity to heal and grow. They feed you well, the coffee is real and usually strong (though limited to meal times,) the gym is better than most. There are ample smoke breaks and there are decent amenities. It's not the Ritz, but it's not supposed to be. They're definitely understaffed, but the team they currently have is full of dedicated and compassionate people which made all the difference in my stay and helped my find direction and hope. We had a mixed experience at Garnet. My 87-year-old grandmother spent Thanksgiving week in the hospital due to a fall and some other related health issues. Her day-time nurse Chambree (?) was AMAZING. 10/10. Chambree was not only thoughtful, thorough, professional, and knowledgeable, but she was extremely compassionate and consent-driven when providing care for my grandmother. If I knew her last name I would submit a more formal positive review to the hospital, because she was truly the definition of a top-tier nurse!! No surprise that she comes from a family of nurses :)
On the negative side... whoever the nurse/doctor was on-duty during the night gave her a chemical restraint (Haldol) without the consent of her or her medical decision-maker / power of attorney, which then prolonged her stay in the hospital unnecessarily. That was completely unacceptable.

My husband’s recent experience here was unacceptable and, at times, genuinely alarming.
We came in with a serious issue involving his leg—significant swelling, pain, and clear signs that something was very wrong. From the start, communication was inconsistent, confusing, and often completely contradictory. We were given different explanations by different providers, and crucial information was either delayed or not explained at all.
During his first admission, he underwent a drainage procedure, and we were given conflicting instructions about whether he needed to be admitted. One physician told us there was no infection and no reason for admission, while I overheard the ER care team questioning why he was being admitted at all, even referencing my husband by name. Hearing staff say things like, “If the patient or wife asks to be discharged, tell them no—we don’t have time to do admissions and discharges in the same day,” was deeply unprofessional and destroyed any trust we had in the care we were receiving. After unnecessary back and forth, he was admitted for two days, only to be discharged on oral antibiotics that ultimately did not help—his symptoms worsened enough that another doctor sent us right back to the ER for more imaging and readmission.
For his second admission, we were told the purpose was to get an MRI. My husband received the MRI on Thursday evening, yet no one reviewed the results with us or offered a care plan until late Saturday. Two different doctors came in with conflicting information. One even attempted to discharge him before speaking with his infectious disease specialist, despite us being told he needed a drain and biopsy. After I questioned her multiple times, she left and returned minutes later apologizing, admitting she had not spoken with the ID doctor and that, in fact, drainage and biopsy were recommended. She then offered us two “options”: be discharged with antibiotics or stay for the drainage—an impossible position for any patient to be put in, especially when the care already felt so unreliable.
On Monday, my husband fasted for the scheduled drainage and biopsy, only for us to be told after waiting all day that it was pushed to tomorrow because we could not be fit in.
After spending a total of seven days in the hospital, he was finally discharged on oral antibiotics following the drain—yet even this was mishandled. One of the medications he was prescribed was recalled back as per my pharmacy. When we attempted to get this fixed, no one could even locate the discharging doctor in the system. Now, two days after discharge, I am still trying to get someone to send in the medication he was clearly instructed to take. This has created yet another unnecessary delay in his recovery and more avoidable stress.
The constant delays, lack of communication, contradictory messages between departments, and the sense that no one was truly overseeing his care created unnecessary stress, fear, and prolonged suffering. We felt like we had to fight at every step just to understand what was happening and to advocate for basic, appropriate care.
A hospital should provide competent, consistent, compassionate treatment. What we experienced was the opposite. I sincerely hope administration reviews what happened, because no patient or family should ever have to endure this

I had emergency colon surgery in March at Allentown. Unfortunately, they did it in a hurry because that what was necessary at the time. I had 9 weeks of pain and issues and required a second emergency surgery in May. The good news is, then I met Dr. Daniel J. Bowers. He became my regular doctor through this and I saw him several times. He is an excellent doctor and a very good man. He always took time to explain my situation with understanding and compassion when I was at a very low point in my life. I've been home 2 weeks and haven't felt this good in months. I finally feel like everything is behind me. A special thanks to Dr. Stewart and medical student Nate. AND the 8th floor nursing staff, especially Faye and Sam!!! I could never do the kind of work that these medical professionals do every day! But, I am grateful that they do! God bless them all!

Been a patient for a little over a year and it's a pretty good place. I haven't had any problems at all. Even had to go to a different state for a week because of a funeral and received bottles for the entire trip. It's a great place if you have one of the good counselors that actually advocates for their clients.

It's okay. I've been to better clincs. This one has a hard time keeping councilors and things are always chaotic and unorganized. Different rules for different days and also for different people. If your known and friendly with certain people you get treated differently than those who are new or not as outgoing and personable. I had surgery on Valentine’s Day. What an absolutely amazing visit to St. Lukes. Not only was every single employee and nurse kind, friendly and showed patience with the patients, they were all kind and friendly to one another. My nurses Liz, Nydia, Amy, Michele and Kayla were all absolutely lovely. Dr. Jan and Dr. Jim the anesthesiologist were all amazing to work with. Felt so comfortable and safe. Dr. Jennifer Dailey (the Allentown VA Chiropractor) is absolutely THE BEST! I have seen over a dozen chiropractors since my service injury in 2012 and she is undoubtedly the one that has helped me regain quality of life, and reduce most of my pain. Dr. Dailey dug deep into my injuries with proper technique, she thinks outside the box to find solutions, she never cuts a corner when providing my adjustment, and she has supported me with at home tips and tricks to continue my healing. I used to have pain just walking and simply existing in my daily life, but because of her and her team, I am now able to become more active, have significantly less pain, and sleep uninterrupted throughout the night.
If you are a veteran in pain, do yourself a favor and ask for her. If you are an employee or supervisor at the VA, go shake her hand because she deserves it.

Wanted to take a moment to dote on counselor Richelle Atkins. She has been instrumental in helping me change my life and work through my addiction. When you find someone like Richelle who is not just passionate about her job but truly cares for the people and community - that kind of dedication to the cause helps me to feel not so alone. The best place I've ever been to for help. Have been In a few short and long term. Inpatient and out in my teen days and the staff has been by far the best around ! I also made a small hiccup on the end of my stay so stupid but they let it go with a warning seeing the progess I made as well as my fellow friend I made, her progress as well. I would 1000000000% recommend especially for women struggling with abuse. They specialize in really helping you find your inner strength .
Also.. out of all the stays. This is the only one above a 3. So that tells ya something.. and its closer to 4 than 3 so great place !!

I was recommended here by FLACRA in Clifton Springs and I couldn't be more happier with my decision, was there from the end of May to the end of July, very caring and empathetic counselors and nurses along with the food service staff which is an army of one but she rocks it, they truly want to see you succeed and live a happy joyous life, they provide you with great information about addiction and also provide you with a wide selection of literature and even host NA and AA meetings with guest speakers, most staff are in recovery themselves so they can relate to your struggles with addiction, im 22 and currently 3 months sober, the age range is well diverse, I would recommend this ATC to anyone who wants to change their life around, I will never forget the staff who helped me overcome my alcoholism 🙏

Aug 17 2023 is the day my life changed. I'm from the south. I had lived in the woods for a large part of my life. I was broken. I was angry and I was scared. The staff from nurses to counselors and even admission staff were amazing. They gave this homeless sick angry man hope. I'm 20 months sober now. They even helped me go from treatment to a transitional living facility. All I can say is go. Take that first step. They have you. I am eternally grateful.

I won’t go into specific details of who is the patient but I’ve been to many different behavioral health practices and this one by far as given me the most hope, the most reliable, professional staff and have made things better in so many ways. The office staff is absolutely the best. I haven’t talked to all of the providers there in a session capacity but the 2 that I have are beyond awesome and all the others are friendly and I would feel comfortable as their patient as well. Holcomb has been a life saver. They actually care about you and what you are going through and they treat you with the upmost respect and are extremely helpful, caring and knowledgeable, they now have 2 Drs who can prescribe medication if needed and I have personally interacted with 4 different therapist and they are all just wonderful and help teach you the tools and coping skills to apply in your everyday routine

I've been meaning to write this for some time, but after reading some of the other reviews posted on here, decided I want to share my own experience. I have a family member who came here when that person was really struggling, not only with SA and sobriety, but with life in general while navigating a life of sobriety. I am purposefully keeping this person's identity ambiguous because this person doesn't wish to disclose their identity.
This person was very nervous and anxious to begin treatments anywhere and chose this clinic based on the reviews posted here. This person was matched with Cory for counseling. Cory has been absolutely amazing. He is incredibly easy to talk to, doesn't make my loved one feel the typical stigma that's attached to SA, and has become a mentor and trusted confidant. My loved one says that Cory doesn't JUST focus on SA and sobriety, he helps his clients with everyday life struggles, like issues that sometimes come up at the workplace, dealing with trauma like the death of close family members, troubles with traumas that occured in childhood, and traumas related to past he helps to treat the WHOLE PERSON, and and doesn't focus solely on the addiction issues. My loved one says that it's not just the medicine that helps an addict live a life in recovery. It's the counselor who helps the addict live a life free of SA. They say it's the combination of the two that's really helped them stay sober for several years now.
I know most people reading this are probably most concerned about dosing. So, it starts out with dosing at a certain MG based on the information given at intake, and probably COWS testing, etc. The lines are very short, if there's a line at all, and most of the nurses that dose are nice. I've been inside the clinic before, and it's very clean. There seems to be plenty of seating, and there's a TV in the waiting room. The bathrooms are exceptionally clean, but there is a camera in them, lol, I'm assuming that when the clients have to submit a UA.
You USED to start by dosing every day during the week and get a take-home for Sunday with your Saturday in-clinic dose. If you've followed the program by having clean UAs and getting in the minimum amount of counseling hours, you get one week of take-homes after around 6 months. If you continue to stay on the program, you get 2 weeks of take-homes after around 13 months. You get a month of take-homes after doing what you're supposed to for appx 26 months. However, thers a new director, and tbings are changing at the moment.
They can call you at any time the clinic is open to count your bottles and do a UA. If you've tampered with your bottles, lose one of your bottles, or failed a UA, there's obviously going to be consequences. I can't tell you exactly what they are, because my loved one has maintained sobriety!
The staff were all very friendly to me, with the exception of one lady, who I've been told is the new director. This has been the only individual who has EVER not been extremely warm and friendly to me. She seemed like she didn't want to be there or something, Im not really sure. My loved one says that she has started implementing new rules that, to me, seem to discourage new clients to choose this clinic and may drive current clients to other clinics.
I dont know exactly what else she has in store for clients in upcoming months, but it seems that she's going to make things a bit more challenging for new and current clients, which really sucks, for lack of better words. This clinic, and counselors like Cory, are the main reason my loved one has been able to remain sober this long, and we fear that things are going to change in a negative way. So, while we recommend this clinic to anyone struggling, I'll be sure to update this review in a couple of months to see if this new director makes changes that lower the star rating.
I really really recommend this place- as far as counselors, I obviously recommend Cory, but I know that Julie and Sarah are also really good people. Good luck in your recovery!!!

I've dosed at clinics across the country and of 10 different clinics i can honestly say these folks have treated me very well and the biggest thing was I've yet to stand in line for hours on end . And I read these comments and the only people that have negative things to say about them is the people who got discharged....just sayn.

Great place to get methadone daily for the rest of your life if you want also please people please look at the ratio of success compared to those who have been discharged 😂 it's pathetic. If you want gigantic doses of methadone for like 3 years this is the place. You'll get 175 mg's if you want . It's just a Job to them. Adrian is truly the only one who really does care an that's just the truth. Don't believe me ask the people who use to work there. I mean one counselor was caught sleeping with a patient. Anyway be careful and don't let them know anything about you and only trust the one who actually cares Adrian
