Anyone that gave dats anything less than 5 stats did not take their recovery seriously and blames dats for their mistakes.
I've been attending for three years and i can't put into words how they've helped me. Both of my counselors I've had sine may 2020 "Lauren and especially sherry connelly" have done so much for me and I wouldn't be 3 years sober without them.

I was very defiant in the beginning of the treatment process because of my experiences in the past and was never comfortable enough to open up to anybody ever. I graduated within that 5 years but I just did the program to get everyone off my back I didn’t take in any of the suggestions given or was not willing to take a deeper look into my life so I got my certificate and left. Only to come back 2 years later still broken but this time no substance brought me back. Within coming back I’ve had a few lapses but I was SO COMFORTABLE to come back into this place and admit to that and I’ve built such solid worthy relationships here. This place gave me my life back. Gave my children their mother back and my family has their daughter back. If it was not for this place I would be dead. I love tpals because they meet you where you are at and work with you to understand the true ins and outs of this disease. I never thought I would be free from the chains of hell with drugs and alcohol and this place helped me free myself. I graduated again but I still come here everyday this place is my home and my safe place. Even if there isn’t any staff I sit in the parking lot if I need to regroup mentally. Thank you to each and every one of the staff and counselors ! Yall are the real super heroes because super heroes don’t always need to wear capes.

I’ve been going to TPALS for years and they have been like a family to me. They have seen my best and worst—treating me with respect and kindness through it all. My individual therapy with Katie is productive and thought-provoking. She is truly a wonderful accent to TPALS. The group therapy sessions are some of the best I’ve attended with strong participation from everyone. I highly recommend TPALS and their amazing team.

So being part of the frequent flyers club in the world of therapy, I could never find anybody that could seem to help me. This place is second to none, and more specifically, Elle is the greatest therapist I’ve ever had. If it wasn’t for her, I can only imagine where I would be now. Five stars for sure!!!

I can only speak to the adult IOP/PHP program, but my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. Despite some of the older, more critical reviews, the current psychologist, Dr. Akunna, is excellent. The staff is also very respectful of gender identities and preferred names — I’ve even seen therapists gently correct each other when the wrong pronoun was used by mistake.
Britney is a fantastic therapist — extremely validating and supportive. The smaller group setting allows for meaningful one-on-one attention, especially during afternoon sessions. Grace, their most consistent group therapist, creates a space where people can truly show up as they are — something I’ve rarely seen done so well.
Ajita and the rest of the team work hard to support clients while also holding firm, compassionate boundaries to set them up for success after leaving the program. They use a mix of DBT, CBT, and other therapeutic approaches to teach skills in a holistic, client-centered way. They also encourage clients to seek additional medical support, such as a primary care doctor or nutritionist, when needed.
Overall, the team is committed to helping clients fully engage with treatment — and you truly get out of the program what you put into it.

Not only was this my first-ever rehabilitation experience, but it was also the most eye-opening experience I have ever had. I was uncertain about what to expect and, ultimately, I made the best decision possible. The staff, whom I refer to as specialists, made me feel immediately at home, and my counselor, Mike, went above and beyond in his duties. The facility offers numerous perks, including exceptional cuisine, impeccable grounds, and a spectacular overall atmosphere. I must note that the nurses are exceedingly polite and attentive to their patients' needs, although I did find it somewhat disappointing that doctor visits were limited to only once. Personally, I did not experience any significant issues during my stay, aside from one supervisor who, I discovered, was not particularly friendly to either patients or staff. One of the highlights of the facility is the presence of Monarch butterflies, which are hatched on-site. Deb, one of the specialists, consistently displayed a warm and welcoming smile that brightened everyone's day. Marworth offers a wide range of activities to keep patients engaged, as well as tailored treatment plans for individuals requiring additional support. I commend the facility on its outstanding work.

I went to Marworth for the first time after relapsing after about 5 years sober. When I went there I was a wildly unpleasant person to be around. I hated the world and myself. I was truly terrible to most of the staff. My behavior was argumentative, smug and mean at best. They still welcomed me back 3 more times. I was eventually given Amy as my primary counselor and, she not only took the time to try and understand why I was like that but, she also challenged me to be better. Over my time there I had the chance to get to know the staff very well. They're good people. Who genuinely want to help people get to the life they're meant to have. The specialists, rec team, cafeteria workers, house keeping, security(the list goes on and on)are wonderful. That's what makes Marworth great. It's not the amenities. It's not the rock climbing wall, gym, cafeteria, or anything else you can think of. It's the people that make this place what it is. Is it perfect? Absolutely not, but nothing is. When I went in there looking for all the things that bothered me, I got nothing out of it. When I allowed them to help me, I got everything out of it.

Serenity mountain changed my life! Between the caring house staff, knowledgeable clinical team and great activities, this is a great place to grow, learn and recover. While I was there, I was able to learn so much, about myself, my disease, and God. We had opportunities to go to off campus activities including drum aerobics, enerchi, yoga, church and even special things like concerts, ice cream runs, local NA/AA meetings and women’s retreats! The councilors genuinely care and want the best for each and every one of the girls on the mountain, and the house staff does everything they can to keep us safe, healthy, and happy throughout our time there. Sandy and Joe genuinely do their best to help each individual woman and truly care about recovery. The food is much better than most rehabs, and the rooms are large, clean and very comfortable. There is even two house dogs, Chloe and poppi, who make adjusting to the mountain much easier and provide great emotional support when needed! Overall, I highly recommend serenity mountain if addiction is something you struggle with, the road to recovery isn’t always easy, but the mountain is a great stopping point along the journey!

I was in this hellhole in paoli and nowhere in my State was any better. My wife was also in it. Many staff with perminet backrounds beat me half to death twice a week. I have a shattered wrist. Someone i know was released with PTSD and killed someone. The good people and clients were blackmailed into silence or they would be economically, physically, or any other abuse for assault. I was in here and i had to fight everyday or i would probably be dead. I was 13-15 when i was in there and many kids resorted back to prison instead because they were so scared. I was also sexually assaulted by one staff in here. The staff were savage barbaric thugs. I almost died in these places. DO NOT ALLOW YOUR CHILDREN SUFFER LIKE I HAVE. My wife was in Newfoundland Pennsylvania and was assulted by staff and other adult patients. They let her abusive ex visit constantly who was an ilkegal gun owner and drug dealer visit. Every person i personally met on the inside as a patent can tell you the same or worse. RAPES, MURDERERS, SUICIDES AND HUSHMONEY were all reported in every single one in Pennsylvania. I've read up on it. I plan on becoming a P.I. so i can stop these c**kheads from ruining our kids. Im 20 years old and a day does not go by where i dont have trust issues or feel insecure over others in reality. I dont let this effect my life or my choices. I got over my trama I was given in there but i also wish that this company was shut down long ago. if anyone currently has someone in there now you can save them by doing the mistake i and my family did not do is to investigate, sue, and get your child out of there.

Scranton is the 290th most expensive city nationwide for addiction treatment affordability, with an average cost of addiction treatment of $52329. This is lower than the average cost of $56708 for addiction treatment in Pennsylvania and lower than the national average cost for drug rehab of $57,193.
The costs of drug and alcohol rehab in Scranton vary widely and depend on several factors, including:
The costs of addiction treatment listed for cities and states are averages based on the cost of medical detox, inpatient rehab, outpatient rehab, and medication assisted treatment. These averages are high due to the cost of medical detoxification and residential inpatient rehab programs.
These numbers also reflect the raw cost of drug rehab, before any insurance coverage. The typical individual seeking addiction treatment can expect to pay much less for outpatient or intensive outpatient services than the averages listed below. There are many ways to pay for drug rehab in Scranton. Most rehab treatment centers accept cash or self-payment, as well as private health insurance. However, there are many treatment centers in Scranton that accept Medicaid and Medicare, or offer sliding scale payments or other low-cost payment options. Here's the complete breakdown of how to pay for addiction treatment near Scranton.
Aetna is the most widely-accepted insurance for drug rehabs in Scranton, with 3 treatment centers in the city accepting their insurance. Blue Cross Blue Shield is the 2nd most popular with 3 treatment centers accepting it followed by Cigna in 3rd accepted by 3 drug rehabs.
Scranton has the 51st highest rate of drug use nationwide among nearly 400 cities surveyed. This number reflects the combined use of cocaine, heroin, meth, and marijuana, displayed individually below. The percent shown for each drug represents the number of residents in Lackawanna county that have reported ever using the following drugs, so these numbers should not be interpreted as direct evidence of current drug use in Scranton or Lackawanna county as a whole.
In 2023, Scranton had the 130th highest number narcotics violations out of 330 cities nationwide, with a total of 561 reported drug-related incidents that year.
