I came to Silver Pines in a very bad mental state. I never thought I would ever see myself in a situation like this, but I am so thankful I went to Silver Pines. Being around others who were struggling and forming bonds and getting to know the staff was incredibly helpful. I was quite isolated in a lot of ways before I went and I feel like I can pick myself up now and take more control over my life. The groups, especially process groups, were very helpful and cathartic. Staff was also very understanding and encouraging. I want to thank Alisha, Doug, Deidre, Cat, Eddy, and many others (that I can't remember at this very moment, you were all fantastic though!) for all the support. The behavioral health techs were also fantastic. Of the BHT's, Tim really helped me to open up and he helped me immensely when I was getting familiar with the place and nervous in my first few days. When dealing with people who are struggling, that type of compassion is important and he really made the difference for me. Thank you again.

Geisinger Marworth, an entity of Geisinger Health System, is an alcohol and substance use treatment facility located in the rolling hills of Waverly in Northeastern, Pennsylvania. Their inpatient programs are highly specialized and take into consideration each person’s | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Where do I begin? Not only was this my first-ever rehabilitation experience, but it was also the most eye-opening experience I have ever had. I was uncertain about what to expect and, ultimately, I made the best decision possible. The staff, whom I refer to as specialists, made me feel immediately at home, and my counselor, Mike, went above and beyond in his duties. The facility offers numerous perks, including exceptional cuisine, impeccable grounds, and a spectacular overall atmosphere. I must note that the nurses are exceedingly polite and attentive to their patients' needs, although I did find it somewhat disappointing that doctor visits were limited to only once. Personally, I did not experience any significant issues during my stay, aside from one supervisor who, I discovered, was not particularly friendly to either patients or staff. One of the highlights of the facility is the presence of Monarch butterflies, which are hatched on-site. Deb, one of the specialists, consistently displayed a warm and welcoming smile that brightened everyone's day. Marworth offers a wide range of activities to keep patients engaged, as well as tailored treatment plans for individuals requiring additional support. I commend the facility on its outstanding work.

I went to Marworth for the first time after relapsing after about 5 years sober. When I went there I was a wildly unpleasant person to be around. I hated the world and myself. I was truly terrible to most of the staff. My behavior was argumentative, smug and mean at best. They still welcomed me back 3 more times. I was eventually given Amy as my primary counselor and, she not only took the time to try and understand why I was like that but, she also challenged me to be better. Over my time there I had the chance to get to know the staff very well. They're good people. Who genuinely want to help people get to the life they're meant to have. The specialists, rec team, cafeteria workers, house keeping, security(the list goes on and on)are wonderful. That's what makes Marworth great. It's not the amenities. It's not the rock climbing wall, gym, cafeteria, or anything else you can think of. It's the people that make this place what it is. Is it perfect? Absolutely not, but nothing is. When I went in there looking for all the things that bothered me, I got nothing out of it. When I allowed them to help me, I got everything out of it.

This facility is near Trexler Nature Preserve and Lehigh Valley Zoo. Both these spaces are ideal for educational and recreational opportunities for the youth and their families. Youth Medication-Assisted Detoxificat | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Hi, my name is Leanna and I was sent to Kidspeace on January 14th? 2021 and stayed in the Wright house until March 18th 2021. I've been reading the reviews and I just wanted to say I'm terribly sorry that y'all had the experiences you did. My experience however, was amazing. I was probably the worst headspace ever and Kidspeace in just 3 months saved me. There was of course, things I hated. Like at the intake, you had to fully strip and they had to examine you. Stuff like that. There was a girl who broke the huge tv, ruined our living area, self harmed, awoled, and was horrible to staff.and yet I loved her dearly; she was the sweetest Angel, she was just misunderstood. (Yes I truly
believe that. She didn't know how to cope with the terrible life she had.) I was fortunate enough to quickly learn how to work the program. Within weeks, I was shortly moved up the behavior "chart" for good behavior. But it wasn't easy; I know I'm making it seem like it, but there were many trials I had to overcome. Although I was always on the lists for "picks" and I made some good friends,(including Savannah, ((My lovely Anna, I still have ur poem<3)) and Carly, and Bri.) it was so so hard to keep going sometimes. But certain staff helped me through it. They'd stay up with me past their shift just letting me vent and talking with me Without the people mentioned, I truly wouldn't have survived. I wish I could have stayed longer than I did, but my insurance didn't cover my stay. I guess what I'm trying to say, is Kidspeace is what you make it, at least for me. I still honestly sometimes wanna go back when times get rough. So, thank you Kidspeace for everything you did for me. I remember painting my name in the basement of the activity building and signing it. And I still have every letter from every client, every peace of art, and every little trinket that holds memories.<333

The groups, clinicians, and staff were overall very helpful, friendly, and eager to help. The topics and processes they cover range so well that you will be able to find something about yourself that you can develop methods for to improve upon. The atmosphere is excellent and you will definitely find people that relate to you and groups that work together to find solutions and give feedback to anything that might be troubling you. That's something you can't really get with a lot of group therapy. The specialists and clinicians are only part of it, it's the group that makes it count.

A good friend of mine was in B.H. for at least 25 days. She was just released Friday, March 29. She had been in Holy Spirit Hospital. While at B. H. she declined rapidly. She had been around 120 lbs. when leaving Holy Spirit, when she was discharged from B.H. she weighed 97 lbs. On her discharge papers it stated she was doing much better, was eating, etc. & they saw no reason for not sending her home. They stated they would be sending her home with a med-alert & setting up Meals On Wheels. They did neither. At a previous meeting with 2 of her sisters they asked her one sister if they should give her all the treatment she needed. The sister said yes, they stated that's all we wanted to know. This patient is refusing to eat, she should have been going to group meetings, taking psychotropic meds., which apparently they did not make her do. She is now home alone, fell on her face once, is still pacing back & forth, is not eating & is still in a poor mental state.

Once again here at this hospital—the worst of them all. November 30, 2025 at 1:45 PM.
A member of my family was admitted to the mental health unit, and my relative, who is currently hospitalized, told me that men and women are mixed together in the same area. My relative, who is a woman, was constantly being sexually harassed by the MALE patients in the psychiatric area.
If the hospital is so BIG, why is there no designated area exclusively for women and another exclusively for men? Female patients should not have to be mixed with male patients and subjected to sexual harassment.
The behavior of some of the Black female nurses is also very rough and disrespectful toward the patients and visitors. Unfortunately, in all of Bergen County, this is the only hospital patients are referred to.
And lastly, the person who checks IDs at the entrance—a woman with curly hair and glasses—denied entry to the three of us who were visiting. Yet yesterday at 7:25 PM, I saw three visitors being allowed into the same psychiatric area.
What special privileges do those people have? Why were they allowed to enter as a group of three, while my two relatives and I (three in total) were denied? She also said that we could not take turns entering to visit our family member—one going in, coming out, and then another going in.
Horrible treatment toward both the patients and the visitors, because it is clear that some people are given privileges over others.

I walked through the door, the staff treated me very well. This facility is a place to get sober it’s small and comfy. You can really build strong connections and focus on road to recovery.
The group sessions focused on trauma and life skills, and holistic activities (like sound bowl, crystals and meditation) gave me the tools I needed to build a sustainable life in recovery. HOV holistic group session also were great. I truly valued all the group sessions. All the other techs were amazing as well. On the other hand..I made a very good friend in my time staying there..we kept in touch and we were both struggling. I was trying to be a good girlfriend and put my own health aside waiting waiting for him. I now know know that I need further assistance than just detox . He's not even. Being a decent human being/and/or being nice about it. I tried called the Sterling location 5 times where my friend is. She told me there is in IN FACT beds available but the person on the phone wasnt so friendly..almost demeaning. He said "just because there's beds available doesn't mean there's beds available". I was very confused...almost like he didn't want to help me save my life. And he was just annoyed to be answering the phone. He told me over and over in an annoyed and stern voice as I was in tears to call back at 9am. Im just lucky im not someone who is WAY more fragile and sensitive amd nothing terrible happened 🥺

Supportive and non judgement staff at Brentwood location. Very clean and group sessions were great. They truly make you feel like a human being a person. I would absolutely recommend this place.

Absolutely the best facility and most caring people I’ve ever come across. Shout out to everyone at the nurses station for holding it down for me when I was at my lowest. I am not a fan of any facility whatsoever but these guys genuinely do it right. Can’t thank y’all enough. Best nursing staff ever
