They offer flexible outpatient addiction therapy allowing patients to live at home while receiving regular treat | Treatments Programs Payment Options | The therapist that I have now is wonderful. Maureen is very personable and seems like she truly cares about you. There have been times where I have had to stop treatment due to lack of insurance and each time I have came back she has remembered me. That makes me feel confident in telling her everything. The doctor I have this time is much better. The man who used to be there was very rude and I felt that he did not care. Dr. Belkin takes her time to discuss everything with you and makes sure to answer any questions.I miss Nicole, who used to work at the front desk. She always greeted me with a smile and did her best to work with my schedule. The new lady is very rude, she ignores you when you walk in and does not try to accommodate any changes. My hours change frequently and she just keeps pushing my dates back further and further. I asked her if I was able to make 2 apts and call to tell her which I could make she was very rude and just told me no. That makes me feel unimportant.

| Located in Barryville, New York, you’ll find the charming New Hope Manor. They are a substance stabilization and drug rehab center for women living in the area who are suffering from substance misuse disorders. This is primarily a residential center, although they do offer medically supervised withdrawal services for mild to moderate symptoms. L | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I just finished 7 months at New Hope Manor and I’m so happy! I am a new person, no longer committing murder to myself via alcohol, opioids and cigarettes. The Angelic guidance of my counselor Amanda who always had the utmost patience and care for me has helped set me free of the self destructive, depressing life I had before I was blessed enough to find New Hope. Amanda gently guided me into having a life I never thought I could achieve. Also Anand, my therapist, helped me so much it’s unreal. He had a way of showing me how to show myself why I self sabotaged and how to fix me. He is an amazing man so gentle , soulful, intuitive, positive and encouraging.
Both he and Amanda showed me how and why to forgive myself and how to stop living in shame.
I never felt so cared for and understood by anybody like I did from the whole gifted staff at New Hope. Not just for me but for all the other clients living there as well. It amazed me to witness the patience and understanding which was shown even to the most difficult client.
The groups (classes) were so well thought out to help bring about a transformation worthy of the hard work they asked. I loved learning all about life, and addiction (it’s never to late) and why and how a sober and peaceful life was mine if I wanted it badly enough.
I could never ever thank the amazing staff at New Hope for my New life.
Everyone on the staff; whether they were personally assigned to me or not was always there for us which meant so much to me which I’m sure they didn’t realize how much it meant.
Even Joe who ran the kitchen showed so much love preparing our meals. The 3 meals a day plus snacks was above and beyond what you’d expect. Just saying, delicious! Joe is an amazing man. I am so grateful for getting to know him and learn why he understood all of us and why he cared so much.
I can go on and on with praise for New Hope. I’m not saying they are perfect. Who is? However I can say they do listen to the women there. I figured out early on that when I didn’t agree with their methods there was a good reason for those methods.
I know God bought me to New Hope. I was never in rehab before and had no idea what to expect. I did know I couldn’t go on self murdering myself the way I was. I do know I never expected to heal the way I did. I also know I will continue to work on my sobriety outside NH and I know they are with me for the rest of my life. ❤️

I was at New Hope Manor in 2009 and if you had asked me back then I probably would have sounded like some of these reviews, lol. The truth is those mean nuns dedicated their entire life to helping us get sober, and helping us keep our kids and I am eternally grateful for the lessons I learned there. I’m still in touch with some of my new hope sisters and we all agree we would go back in a heart beat. Back then I felt cheated at the holidays, now I realize they taught us what the holidays were really about, I could go on and on. Great program, life saving, for real!

I am grateful beyond words to have been able to went through the program at brookdale. I not only finished their program in 2025 but I also was there in early 2024 as well for my first time in treatment. They did all the right things to prepare me for a life in recovery however I had my own reservations in mind and wasn’t completely ready to listen and be honest. I knew immediately when I realized I had to go back, that I ONLY would go to Brookdale and nobody could’ve suggested anywhere else to me. I went back ready to fully listen and take suggestions and I got even more out of it the second time. Brookdale has many staff that has walked the same struggle as us clients so that helps a ton. The nursing staff and doctors are extremely knowledgeable and caring. One thing I noticed immediately is every single staff knows your name before you even meet them, this makes it so comforting to walk in to an uncomfortable situation. They have a very well planned structure and routine they get each and every client in to prepare them to get back to the real world. The days are full but they are very well balanced between education, fun, leisure time, and connection with your peers. Every single staff member is there for each and every client. The campus is huge and it made me feel like I was going to college with the structure and opportunities you have, and it would hands down be the #1 school in the country with the prestigious education you get. There is no argument, brookdale is the BEST place to send a loved one or yourself if you need help with addiction and or alcoholism.

My name is Sarah. I ended up in Brookdale after a two year relapse. It took me three weeks to get myself to agree to have Brookdale come pick me up.
I chose Brookdale because the staff on the phone were genuine and kind. They answered all my questions with patience and put me at ease.
When I arrived at Brookdale I was broken. I felt like glass ready to shatter into a million pieces.
As I started meeting the staff I felt more at ease. They were all kind and welcoming. They all looked me in the eye and I felt seen.
The beauty of Brookdale is there is going to be a staff that knows exactly how you feel. Someone who shares a similar story.
I had a moment with a staff who looked me in the eyes and said “you are worth it”. In that moment I believed him completely without any hesitation.
It was like looking into a mirror. I needed that recognition from someone like me who could see through the walls I built in addiction. I trusted him. I was going to be okay.
Brookdale gives you the space and support you need to heal. The tools they offer are endless.
Now, I have sober support and Brookdale is still apart of it. I followed their suggestions and I am thriving.
If you or someone you know needs help with addiction there’s no other place filled with more amazing people!

I guess I just felt that it was important for me to clarify my experience there because nobody pointed out anything positive, here's something. THE PLACE GAVE YOU ANOTHER CHANCE AT LIFE, IF YOU DONT TAKE IT AND IMMERSE YOURSELF INTO YOUR RECOVERY, YOUR DOOMED TO REPEAT HISTORY. The only shot we have is inside of us, the four walls doesn't mean a whole lot. it's your personal motivation.. Ask yourself what you want more and why. Thank you straight & narrow for the opportunity to take advantage of your program and I couldn't be more pleased with the majority of the staff. My counselor, Emily, was a super helpful person and important role in my early recovery. She challenged my answers, which I respect, and she also made me be accountable for my own recovery. She Cares, that's ultimately how I feel about her and I can't thank her enough. I would recommend this facility to anyone who wants recovery and isn't worried more about the color of the paint or what mattress they have, that person probably doesn't want recovery to begin with....
