Great service offered to persons in need they have a methadone clinic and a residence. It is like a one-stop shop except there is no detox service offered. There are groups and structured programs for clients. I know of persons who have used the service and are now successful. If they did it, so can others. Staff listen to clients and create a system that caters to each and meet them where they at, while holding your hand safely during the process. Well done and thanks

‘Hurt People , Hurt People’. I needed a free therapist and was able to have 5 intake sessions with a pleasant young woman. I benefited from these sessions as it is always rewarding when we analyze and acknowledge what is going on in our lives. So much was happening for me and I was not able to attend all the assigned sessions. Management was not able to communicate in a responsible or mature manner; I wonder maybe they too are prior clients who have graduated but do not have a total grip on their situation and sometimes need help themselves. My very pleasant intake person became insensitive, cold, ‘passive aggressive’ and quite non communicative. I lead the conversation and realized that I was being ‘expelled’. I really don’t know the reason as I do believe she has her own issues and the Leadership is not of a strong foundation with knowledge of servicing a diverse clientele. Such a shame because this has the potential to be a top notch program in a great community. I only wish I was able to find an experienced, strong, qualified leadership that is familiar with diversity and respect. I was feeling hurt as this was the second time I had to deal with leadership’s lack of sensitivity. It should not be just a JOB when people come to you for help. Fix the structure of this place.

Admin can be occasionally hard to reach, but my psychiatrist Matthew has been excellent and attentive. Would recommend

I don’t even know where to begin with my experience at this facility, and I could make a soliloquy of their disservice to me personally but if I were to read a Google review about an intensive outpatient program for myself or a loved one struggling with addiction and mental health, I would want to know a couple key things 1) how are the groups and counselors 2) will this place accommodate my schedule of work, family & 12 step meetings or therapy 3) will my medication be filled in a timely and appropriate manner 4) and most importantly, I would want to know if I (as the addict) or someone I love would be seen as being more than just an addict or someone with mental health. I can genuinely say that none of these things were achieved for me or many I have learned that have gone there. The groups are monotonous and hard to sit through. The counselors are harsh and seem scared of being insubordinate and losing employment at the expense of advocating for their clients. In addition, they have very little knowledge of the clients that they are working with. The clinical director is very inexperienced and out of touch with addiction and mental health treatment. TCC in Fair Lawn will do nothing to accommodate schedules or mental health diagnosis due to “compliance” issues that seem to be redefined every week. Even if you have a long and documented history of needing some kind of accommodation or have a busy work schedule as I do. Medication seems to be filled when they see fit. And I did not once feel like a human being while I was there. I felt like an insurance check that was not being heard. It disgusts me that places like this exist and take it from an expert, if you have the insurance to do it, go to Bluecrest or NJRC or any other Counseling Center because the Counseling Center at Fair Lawn executes practices that are unethical and should be illegal. Going there was one of the worst decisions I’ve made in recovery and I will not speak for others, but I’ve heard that rhetoric all around Bergen County. I would listen to the reviews that are already posted here or mine.

The staff is very loving, supportive, and motivating. I am approaching two months sober and a key factor that contributed to my growth process with the soar fit program and structure of New Pathways. I am not only motivated to complete the IOP but also the OP program than come back and share my message of hope and strength. Special shout outs to trainer Shannon, Therapists Michael, Ana, Julia, front desk Janel. Keep doing what you all do best which is changing lives for the better each day.

Forever grateful, if you’re pregnant in active addiction please come to VIP. In the 2 years I’ve been going I’ve never been treated with anything other than the utmost respect everyone always asks about the baby and genuinely care about how I’m doing. Marion is an exceptional counselor, I truly believe without her support and all the other staff of course I would’ve never come this far. Thank you guys. Anyone considering help please go and allow yourself to be helped because recovery is possible.

I graduated in 1996. Best decision I ever made was to go to Vip. I was assisted in furthering my education, addressing the issues in my life. Vip helped me to get my children back and raise them, obtain housing, respect, dignity and become a respectful lady. I am a Casac with a Bachelors degree and have been actively employed since 1997, thanks to Vip and have not relapsed once. About to retire and feeling real good about the life that Vip helped me to re-build. I am forever grateful 🙏. You get out what you put in.

VIP has consistently provided exceptional services. The staff is highly professional and maintains a clean and organized facility. I wasnt sure at first cause every place is different but this one actually worked for me. The staff were cool and they explained stuff clearly so I could follow along. Some things felt a bit slow but overall I left feeling like I had real progress and tools to keep going.

Yeah, so, my life was a bit of a dumpster fire before I showed up here at Paterson Recovery. 🔥🤷‍♀️ Seriously, like a bad reality TV show. But these guys? They helped me grab the extinguisher and actually put that thing out. They've got this cool way of making you face your stuff without making you feel like a total screw-up. It's tough work, no lie, but you'll probably chuckle a little along the way. Who knew getting your life back could be kinda fun? Highly recommend for anyone whose life needs a serious reboot.

Paterson Recovery had a calm, steady vibe that made the hard stuff feel doable. The staff was serious about helping, but they weren’t pushy — they explained everything clearly and made sure I felt supported through each step.The setup was clean, the schedule made sense, and I never felt lost or like just another number. I appreciated how they balanced structure with care. It gave me space to breathe, but also enough of a push to keep going. By the time I left, I felt more in control — like I had a grip on myself again.

The fast track emergency staff was amazing. They answered all mine and my son's many questions. They were gentle with him and they made me laugh. Definitely eased my worried mind. But one nurse that stood out the most was Chanel. She is very kind and professional. She handled my son with care and consideration. I truly appreciate her and the rest of the staff. They made a stressful situation not feel so bad

I used to go to the lower east side service center. It is a great program it help me get clean. ... no problem .. I have my own place and I'm no longer a slave to drugs and what it put me through drugs suck ... the people there helped me gain inner strength to kick the drug habbit and lead a better life .
