I took my child there for services and ended up getting treated myself as well. When I got to be so ill that I couldn't consistently hold down a job, they put me in contact with a day program that gradually strengthened me through work shops, individual and group therapy sessions. That particular organization, Friendship House, got me ready to get back into the workforce by placing me in short term work assignments. The last placement in 2004 is where I remain today. I've never had such a long work history anywhere else. The Mental Health Clinic of Passaic also connected me with legal services after I was continually denied Social Security benefits and helped me get them. When another legal issue occurred I was helped again by being connected with a second organization. Again, the problem was resolved. I've had family and individual therapy at the Lexington Avenue location as well as regular visits with Dr. Extraordinaire, Pamela Y. Williams. I'd go to her sometimes with absolutely no intentions of elaborating on my issues. I'd find myself dishing about everything I didn't want to talk about. In later conversations she'd refer to issues and situations that I honestly didn't recall ever revealing to her. It's not like she would sit there with a pad and pen and scribble down everything I was saying. She is just that good a listener. And she's intuitive. Her experience, expertise and skill is evidenced by her efficiency. And you can tell that she's one who cares about her patients. You don't have to believe me. Just look at the walls in her office covered by appreciative notes and drawings from the best character judges on Earth - children. Finally, I consider myself a success story. I will always have a mental illness before Kingdom Come. But that I am no longer in the fetal position and working everyday for the same company for the past 11 years is a testament to the wonderful work done at The Mental Health Clinic of Passaic.

I have been to a few IOP programs and I would with out question say that this program is by far the best. Most IOP programs tend to become very boring by having you sit in a room for 2-3 hours talking about the 12 step program. It’s so repetitive and can be so boring. This program has you concentrate on exercising, meditating and then the last part of group everyone pretty much “shoots the sh*t” and just talks about life, problems, etc. The staff starting with Michelle and Alex all the way to Mr. Willy are just awesome people!
New update 6/5/25 .New Pathway saved my life. I have now been clean for 3 1/2 years since leaving this program. I am forever grateful for this program.

I have attempted several programs in my past that did not work out for me….UNTIL I stepped into Serenity @ Summit. From the moment I walked in I felt noticed, understood, love when I was unable to love myself and given the proper tools to take control of the disease that had taken over every ounce of my being.
My counselor Ashley was amazing and full of such positive energy and empathy towards my situation. If you are ready to make a change in your life/future, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND her!! I felt truly listened and understood.
The Nursing Staff is amazing and they are there to not just keep you on track with your health needs, but they absolutely are on YOUR SIDE each and everyday.
So, if you or a loved one is suffering from any type of addiction…THIS IS THE PLACE to land and start a new journey.

There's no such thing as a 5 star detox, you're not necessarily there to have fun. That being said, if you absolutely have to go to detox, I would recommend Serenity at Summit. Dr. Williams is a great Doctor, and a good man. The nurses are kind and caring, with some expectations. The counselor's do there jobs, some better than others. The tech's all get 5 stars! Really kind, caring, people who are very likeable, and do a great job. The rooms are good, you'll likely get a private room since most people transition after 7 to 10 days. The food was mostly atrocious, but I had zero appetite, so don't go by me. Overall Serenity contributed greatly to the beginning of my journey toward sobriety, so as difficult as my stay was, I'm greatful to have endured it, and I would go back again if I absolutely had to.

I recently had a procedure at Phelps Hospital with Dr. Karli Goldstein, and I cannot express enough how amazing my experience was. I traveled from Long Island for this procedure, and from the moment I stepped into the hospital, I was truly blown away.
The lobby was beautiful, the registration process was smooth and efficient, and I was quickly brought to a private room that was both comfortable and calming. The nursing staff was absolutely incredible—attentive, compassionate, and understanding. I have severe anxiety, and they went above and beyond to make me feel at ease, turning what could have been a stressful experience into the best it could possibly be.

By far the best place around. If your serious about your recovery, this is the place. It’s not just all about the medication, it’s about the staff as well. My counselor, Sharece T saved my life. She goes above and beyond the call of duty and treats people as an individual, not a group, because we’re all different. She really took the time to get to know me and get to the root of the problem and checks up regularly to see if everything’s going well. I’ve been to many places, doctors, meetings and rehabs. No one has ever understood me better, witch is very important in recovery so you can be treated accordingly. I finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. I’m extremely grateful and blessed for my counselor Sharece. A huge thanks to this organization and most importantly, my counselor.

I don't understand the negative reviews for this place. We found getting registered and placed with someone easy and accommodating. Kelly is AMAZING! I have not had positive experiences in the past with therapists, but she is the absolute best. She's "real," she listens, she is amazing at planning a session but also pivoting if necessary. I can't say enough good things about her!

The NICU Department has been a true blessing for our family. The nurses and doctors are incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and compassionate. Had to take my husband on Saturday 05/10/25 to Holy Name Hospital. I've been to this hospital countless times, bc I like it, their service overall is decent. So it seems hubby has a bad virus, not flu or covid but possibly a type of coronavirus. That day, there was a nurse, not sure if she was an LPN or CNA bc I couldnt see her tag well but her name was Keyla Silva and she was stellar! I have never written a review about a nurse but she was awesome! So kind, caring, helpful and I really felt that she was genuine and wanted to help. she offered us both warm blankets, a pillow for my husband, water, etc. she took off my husbands socks and put the hospital ones on him, like I could've done that myself but she insisted and I thought, this is different, this is a nurse that cares. She checked on us several times, more so than the actual nurse. Not to disparage the RNs but after a while it just becomes common place to do well but not always go above and beyond and that could be because they already work a lot and are tired. But Keyla was the sweetest, friendliest nurse and I just wanted to commend her because it made a huge difference in our night. Thank you Keyla, I hope your superiors acknowledge your hard work. You're definitely a special nurse that people will remember.

Been there 3 times now just last teas June1rst,was taken in Immediately my Dr called in first Pressure very high Treated Very Well ,Felt as usual in Great Hands Excellent Hospital a caring giving place & great nurses ,,now updating this Hospital since I've been Home it will be A week since I'm home the Dr that put me on this new Medication was supposed to get me a new Dr never returned my call now new Medication is not doing well for me,so I guess Hospital Dr's don't care once you have left?, this is such a disappointment ,had to find my own cardiologist Now on my own to get a doctor unbelievable !!

I cannot begin to express my deep gratitude for every single person that works here. From Holden who spent over an hour and a half on the phone with me after hours to listen to my journey, to the extremely caring nurses, doctors, patient advocates and simply every person that comes to work here every single day. Addiction is a personal journey for every single one of us, and the staff here make you feel like you are the only one that matters. They take the time to listen to you, how you feel, why you feel a certain way, and adjust their care for. you accordingly. It you are looking for an inviting, warm, and most importantly non judgmental place to guide you along your your journey to sobriety, or even learning skills such as moderation management, and the tools you need to do so, look no further than this incredible facility with the most amazing staff on this planet.
