My daughter has been working with Avery for almost a year now, and she has done a phenomenal job. When we first started, my daughter struggled with anxiety, especially separation anxiety. I was in this place as a kid I was 10 and 1/2 to 11 and it was okay they took us to the movies we played basketball watch TV in the morning they gave us three meals a day there was some arguing and fighting going on also and I was also picked out when I first got there but that happens to everybody it's like a hazing thing in the day you go home they mess with you also when you're going home they mess with you I got hit with a dresser drawer in my sleep right in my head I woke up and nobody would admit to it so I ran and everybody's room and started fighting everybody but besides the fighting it's actually pretty good and fun I also forgot to mention this was 27 years ago so he could have changed by now

My son has been working with Morris, a Recovery Coach at Mountainside for the past eight months and the experience has been exceptional for us both! Morris truly understands how to support recovery in a real world, day to day way. The coaching goes further than check-ins. It includes accountability, life skills, emotional support, and sometimes honest hard conversations. My son has learned how to manage challenges, make healthier choices and is learning how to stay focused on his long-term goals. The progress he’s made has been remarkable and I credit much of that to the consistent well informed coaching he receives. Not only does Morris provide coaching to my son, his expertise extends to me as well. He is highly responsive and always follows through. Mountainside’s Recovery coaching is more than a service. It feels like it’s a true partnership. As a mom navigating this process, I am grateful for the guidance, structure, the encouragement and situational advice Morris provides. I would recommend their coaching without hesitation to any family who’s looking for meaningful sustained support around sobriety. This has made a significant difference for my family. Early recovery, albeit exciting, can be fragile, and I cannot imagine having gone through this experience without the coaching Morris provides.

Id love to give these guys a 5 but recently I was dropped due to insurance. ( I have medicaid. Which makes me less fortunate then others who pay for there insurance) so after about a year and a half. Outside of that the groups are excellent the facilitators truely care, and the people who are the ones that really make the groups they are great. I thibk due to the telahealth aspect people are more willing to dig into there traumas and passed. I can only hope they 1 day accept medicaid again not only for me but all the other addicts and alcoholics who cant afford insurance to 1 day be able to receive treatment in the same manor I did.

This is by far the best place I've ever been to. They actually care about you and your recovery. Touching base and keeping you healthy physically and mentally. Not only do the staff care about you they always have smiles on their faces and make you laugh and feel welcome. I completed this program after my 12 weeks and still show up when i can to do the recovery based workout and yoga/meditation. That is one of the many perks of this program. Guardian Recovery New Pathways in Pine Brook is a great IOP program. It is very unique in that instead of a 3 hrs group which would bore me to tears it is broken up int0 1 hrs of crossfire type exercise, 1 hrs of meditation and yoga, and 1 hrs of group with 1 day of a one on one session with a councilor. They treat you body, mind, and soul. They hold you accountable and I couldn't keep sober on my own and it's fun.and gets you in shape.

I had a very good experience at Absolute Awakenings, I came in from detox for alcoholism and completed the PHP program at Absolute Awakenings. The staff was attentive, professional and encouraging. Nicole who was my clinician was great, she really helped me in our one on one sessions and in my relapse prevention plan. After a stressful experience elsewhere with an enlarged thyroid that was affecting my voice and swallowing, I came to Phelps Hospital and Northwell Health for a second opinion. The care I received from start to finish was extraordinary. Every physician I worked with—Dr. Hellerman (Endocrinology), Dr. Newman (Surgery), and Dr. Indich (Primary Care)—took the time to truly listen, explain everything clearly, and treat me like a person rather than a chart number. The team at Yorktown Imaging was equally wonderful, keeping my spirits high and putting me at ease during my pre-op MRI. On surgery day, everything ran like clockwork. Admissions was private and efficient. A patient care concierge explained the tracker system to my husband so he could follow my progress, and my prep nurse was attentive, communicative, and made sure he could sit with me before surgery. Dr. Newman took extra care to place the incision where scarring would be minimal, and the anesthesiology team kept me completely informed. Recovery staff managed my post-anesthesia nausea immediately, and Dr. Newman checked on me before I was discharged to rest at home. Post-op follow-up has been fantastic—calls were returned promptly, and one week out I have minimal pain, zero complications, and feel better every day. Thank you to the entire Phelps team for your skill, warmth, and genuine patient-first culture!

I truly hope you achieve everything you’re working toward. You would make an incredible counselor. The way you treated us with respect, compassion, and genuine care says so much about your work ethic and your character. Ash and Mike S - thank you for your patience and for always treating us with love, kindness, and respect. You made us feel like human beings, and that means more than you know. Stephan, Johnny, Gary, and Antwo—thank you for everything. The list of people I appreciate could honestly go on. Joe—you’re the man! Thank you for helping me even when you didn’t have to.
