About Pyramid Healthcare Inc. – Detox

Medication assisted treatment (MAT) is part of a comprehensive approach to recovery and not a standalone service. It’s offered alongside evidence-based addiction treatment including cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing. Your customized program may include these therapies in individual and group settings.

The residential treatment track is ideal when you’re looking for long-term recovery from drug and alcohol addiction in a supportive environment. They provide 24/7 care that includes individual and group therapy, life skills training, and holistic approaches to your recovery.

Residential treatment ensures you can focus on your therapy in a distraction free environment. They also offer holistic therapies including mindfulness, yoga, music therapy, creative writing, and creative expression. These offer the opportunity to express yourself in nonverbal ways, helping you to address the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects of addiction. There’s also evidence-based psychoeducation so you have the knowledge and tools necessary to understand your addiction and are empowered to make informed decisions about your recovery.

They have a criminality program that runs for four weeks. It addresses the behavioral and emotional aspects of substance abuse and criminal thinking.

Their aftercare planning services ensure that when you leave treatment you have a customized plan that will support your sobriety and long-term recovery. Case management ensures you can navigate the complexities of community reintegration and have the resources to transition through your treatment stages.

They accept insurance payments and will verify your coverage before beginning treatment. They also accept out-of-network benefits from insurance companies and are part of the Veterans Affairs Community Care Network, giving veterans convenient access to behavioral healthcare treatment.

My partner is currently here. This place is unethical and no one should have to suffer going here. My partner admitted on July 4th. They went through detox and last Friday August 8th was their 30th day in the residential program. When I spoke to them last week they still were not given a discharge date and no aftercare was even being worked on to be set up! I am currently employed at a Behavioral Health facility and have worked in the field for 10 years. I have seen and heard a lot of interesting things throughout my time in this field but this place takes the cake right now. My partner is coming home after their treatment stay yet not a single person has called to confirm that this is ok with me. Since I am technically part of their discharge plan there is no excuse for an employee not to reach out to me in regard to this in order to confirm that this is the plan or to make sure a client isn’t just making something up. When things like this are not checked out, you could potentially be sending a client home to an unsafe place! I have not heard from a single clinician or anyone else for that matter in order for them to get a better insight to my partner. Also, please do not give me your generic response of emailing. I know first hand no one cares about them and nothing ever gets resolved that way if/when they are ever even read. You should all be ashamed of yourselves and take better care of the clients you are in charge of in order to actually help them make a difference in their lives in order for them to maybe have a chance at not relapsing. Communication is key and you all are failing at it which makes me highly question what, if anything, any client that comes through there learns.

Where do I start. PLEASE READ I WOULD GIVE 0 STARS IF POSSIBLE I should have went by the awful terrible reviews I read, because this place actually was a nightmare. From top to bottom that place was disgusting. The detox patients get slept on (they don’t give a shit about you) I only got my blood pressure checked my first day there after that they acted like I was bothering them when I wanted my blood pressure checked regularly. I was detoxing and my blood pressure was sky high. The one detox unit didn’t get cleaned for 3 days and there was vomit sitting on the floor. I came home with pneumonia because everyone was sick in there. Mind you, I was only there for 3 and a half days. Anyways, you get no phone calls, no visitors, your loved ones have absolutely no idea what’s going on. When I flipped out to use a phone to leave (I live 2 hours away) they wouldn’t release my ID and $80 cash I had. They made me write my address down and sign a paper stating i would have my id and money mailed. It’s been 2 weeks I called and they aren’t mailing it, and now I have to pay more money out my pocket to go retrieve my items. IF YOU ARE REALLY TRULY WILLING TO GET HELP AND THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE DONT DO IT LISTEN TO THESE REVIEWS

When I went to Dallas I was connected to some wonderful people that helped my journey. Counselor Kimberly wills, helped me in sooo many ways always available to talk and very very caring to my individual treatment needs. Next is CRS Todd kinner, Todd made sure to meet weekly to establish a plan for after discharge. Todd has continue to work with me after release The plan that we made in the facility he is helping me to meet those goals out here. Last is case manager Amber. Amber has a natural way of connecting with people She goes beyond her job title too make sure all after care is completed and also makes sure the plan gives you the best chance too succeed. Amber would on a daily basis come outside and interact with us . Very caring & understanding.

Accepted Insurance

Pyramid Healthcare Inc. – Detox works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient programs are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs. The Intensive Outpatient Program gives patients the chance to participate in a structured treatment plan part-time while they transition back to home and work or other responsibilities.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

A medical detox is the safest way to wean your body off drugs and/or alcohol in an inpatient setting. When detoxing from addictive substances, the physical and psychological side effects of withdrawal can cause mood swings, anxiety, nausea, or flu-like symptoms. In medically assisted detox, a team of medical professionals are on hand 24/7 to help alleviate potential withdrawal symptoms, administer medications to alleviate withdrawal symptoms, and ultimately keep you safe and comfortable throughout this process.

aftercare iconAftercare Support

Clients receiving services from a rehab aftercare program are usually stable and in the maintenance phase of recovery, having completed detox and/or intensive inpatient treatment. Rehab aftercare services can vary widely based on clients' individual and evolving needs, but often include peer coaching, relapse prevention support, 12 step program induction, and medical, mental health, and social service referrals. Individual care plans are typically developed by the client in partnership with their case manager and care team.

12-step icon12-Step

12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).

sober-living iconSober Living Homes

Sober Living Houses (SLHs), aka sober homes or halfway houses, are safe, substance-free, supportive living facilities for those recovering from substance abuse. Ideal for those who've just been through inpatient or outpatient treatment, SLHs are supervised environments with rules that support sobriety, such as curfews, shared chores, and therapeutic meetings. Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society. SLHs also provide a strong sense of community that can lead to the kind of deep and lasting connections with other sober individuals that supports a new, healthy lifestyle.

Treatments

Alcoholism is a syndrome of dependent alcohol use. Also called alcohol use disorder (AUD), the symptoms include craving alcohol, not being able to stop drinking, and feeling anxious or irritable when not drinking. For many people, alcohol rehab in Pennsylvania is a beneficial treatment. Programs offer many levels of care, including medical and behavioral therapies.

Drug rehab in Pennsylvania is devoted to the treatment of addiction. Levels of care, treatment methods, and settings differ, but the aim of each program is to end drug dependency and empower participants to achieve long-term recovery.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
military-program thumbnail image

Military Program

Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Clinical Services

Incorporating recreational therapy into drug and alcohol addiction programs in Pennsylvania helps you rebuild your life and maintain sobriety by discovering new interests and developing healthy coping mechanisms. Recreational activities can include painting, team sports, and hiking to promote physical and mental health.

Personalized therapy sessions in Pennsylvania typically include a safe and nonjudgmental setting in which you can express your deepest emotions and feelings and explore the factors that have contributed to addiction. Therapists tailor the sessions to help you develop healthier thought patterns and behaviors, which improve your self control and build a foundation for your long term sobriety.

Group therapy sessions in Pennsylvania offer you a safe space when you're struggling with drug and alcohol addiction. You can openly discuss your challenges and the progress you're making in rehabilitation. Sharing this responsibility with others in your group fosters a commitment to sobriety and helps create strong bonds with your peers.

This place was a joke. First time at rehab and I could assure you I will never be back to that rehab or any other rehab. This place reminded me so much of High school. So much drama going on in there. They gave me a hard time to sign my 72hr wavier until I harassed them about it. I don’t know what prison is like but that place was definitely it for me.

Response from the owner
Beatrice Rodriguez, we strive for 100% satisfaction, and we regret to find out that this was not the case. We would like to work towards a resolution, so if you are willing, please reach out to us at (866) 416-1238 to discuss this further.

I arrived voluntarily after contacting my local county alcohol, rehab office. Everything started out well. I came in for a detox then I was marketed their 30 day residential program, which I wasn’t sure I could complete since I was my mother‘s main caretaker and I expressed this. I did the residential program but was unable to complete it due to never hearing back from my employer because they never gave me any messages from my employer. I had to pretty much protest to get out because they do not wanna let you out even though that’s your patient right when you voluntarily go in. I wasn’t allowed to call for an Uber, which I was going to pay for myself until I signed a 72 hour notice which I was pretty much forced to sign because they refuse to give them my phone. You’re in a locked unit even though you haven’t broken the law, but you’re in there along with people who are a part of The states, probationary mandated program or people who are coming out of incarceration, which caused for me to have high blood pressure the entire time I was there and also what will probably be long-term trauma. If you’re looking to get help, and your are not mandated by your job or by the state do not go here!!! you do not deserve to be treated like you’re doing something wrong and you dont deserve to be forced into voluntary incarceration. And lastly, they had one person come in who tested positive for Covid. Everybody else started to get sick and they refused outright to test people for Covid, which is why I got tested positive once I got home and it was positive but I contacted my doctor regarding it.

Response from the owner
