This place is too expensive to be called a thrift store. Good selection but the prices are too high. The staff is rude. Won t be back.

I love EVERYTHING about this thrift store! We visited from Atlanta and it was well organized, well stocked, and staff was friendly and informative. Proceeds from sales benefit addiction recovery which is a cause that means so much to me. Definitely will be back to The Smokies, just for this thrift store!

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient
Clients receiving treatment at an inpatient rehab facility are typically in early recovery or are at heightened risk of relapse. Clients in inpatient care remain at the facility for the duration of their program, enabling them to focus solely on their recovery. Inpatient treatment typically involves extensive psychotherapy, often including group and family counseling as well as one-on-one sessions. Recovery-focused life skills education is another common service. Many rehabs also offer evidence-based holistic therapies.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

There are many types of drug rehab in North Carolina. To receive treatment for addiction, you can choose from many inpatient and outpatient programs. Often, participants start with detox and work through a full continuum of care that continues with ongoing support for long-term recovery.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Men and women enjoy a supportive environment within group therapy sessions for drug and alcohol addiction treatment. You can share your experiences and build connections with your peers while receiving encouragement from individuals who have faced similar challenges.

Stopped by for the first time today and the power was out. I did not have any cash so I couldn’t buy anything but I found several items I really liked. They have some inexpensive things and some more priced items but everything was nice. I was not able to travel to the back of the store because it was dark but what I did see makes we want to go back. There are some name brand clothes, diapers, antiques and so much more. Best part is this store supports a great cause

When I had been homeless and had just gotten my own apartment the day before, the Webster Baptist Church secretary took me there to see if there was a quilt I could buy and they had 1. I never knew that they help homeless people, but they did. They gifted me the quilt. I told the lady everything so she would know that I wasn’t scamming her (unfortunately many people do that to get everything for free,) she listened intently and asked if I need certain items (that I already had and I refused so others who did need it could get it.) THIS HAPPENED @ 10 YEARS AGO. I HAVE NEVER FORGOTTEN her generosity when I had nothing. I have donated 8 bags of plus size clothing and shoes @ 4 years ago and that same lady was so grateful and ecstatic because they had a plus size homeless woman who was desperate for any clothing she could find. Well, she got all the clothes I donated with labels still on them, labels off and not worn, and a whole lot of clothes that I tried on and didn’t fit (mail order shopping). I was grateful to the bottom of my heart that someone who needed them was getting them. I cried the whole way home! I was Thanking God that someone who is in the same position that I was, was getting a Gift from God that God used me for. Such peace and comfort. This is the ONLY ORGANIZATION THAT I DONATE TO! I LOVE them.

We went to this store to see if they had any maternity stuff for my wife and the people who run this place have to be some of the most sincere and accommodating folks I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. Especially the woman who manages it. Truly an amazing place with amazing people. I’ll tell you one thing for sure. Any donations I will be making in the future will NOT be going to goodwill. It will be going to this store. They have made a fan in me and my family forever.

I visited this Teen Challenge and was pretty disappointed. The prices were not comparable with the prices of the Teen Challenge in Florida. Glad to know I'm not missing out on anything at this location.

Wouldn't call this a thrift store. Items are priced like an antique store. Clothing might be mote reasonable, but any decor is not. Obviously checked against Ebay.
