My stay here helped save my life! While the program is rigorous and rules are strict - if you throw yourself fully into the process, you will see results. Staff is warm and caring and are always trying to meet clients where they’re at. Hopefully I never need to, but I would return here for treatment if I had to.

When I found next step recovery I was at my lowest, I had found my bottom. I had my mind made up that suicide was my only way out. Then I found next step, and my second chance at a better, clean and sober life. I've been in and out of rehabs and detoxes my whole life. But this facility was different. I was welcomed like I was family and I had come home. With the love and compassion, not judged, but given a real chance at a better life. I'm currently living in the sober living house, and unlike a lot of places. The houses are very nice, clean, and up to date homes fully furnished. The staff is excellent, and always available to help with anything I need. Today I feel like a better man, a better husband, a better father, and I owe it all to next step recovery.

The program at Silver Ridge is great and has really helped me with my recovery journey. The food is absolutely fantastic. Chef, Kendall, and Jan are always super friendly. If you have the opportunity to step down into the PHP program after completing the residential program, I highly recommend to do so! Patrice, Daniel, and Rose Mary are wonderful people and helped me so much. I would recommend anyone to go to Silver Ridge!

Our 22 year old son was ‘failing to launch’ - gaming, marijuana use and generalized anxiety were issues that prevented him from moving into a healthy and successful adult life. The three months that he spent at Momentum provided just the right mixture of support, insight and challenge to help him channel his energies in a positive direction. His therapist, Joe, was compassionate and effective, and helped motivate our son to reach for more than he thought possible. He left Momentum with a very positive attitude about himself and his possibilities. He has just started a ‘transition’ program where he is utilizing the lessons learned at Momentum to carve out his new life. Momentum is a very fine program with a dedicated, caring and skilled staff - we can highly recommend it!

I was very impressed with the quality of care that my son received at Trails Momentum. He was there from May 2023-September 2023. He arrived in a very sad and lost frame of mind. He left with much more self confidence, and a feeling of purpose. His therapist, Joe, was amazing to work with. I would highly recommend Trails.

I've been an avid golfer since the mid '90s and was born and raised in Hendo Co. Masters Sunday of 2026 was my first time playing HCC, ever!! Thanks to my new buddy that brought me out as a guest! Ol' Donnie Ross will get you with those domed greens of death, but they were rolling so smooth and true! Keep it in play and pay attention around the greens and you'll have a wonderful day! I am grateful for the services Appalachian has provided over the past 6-7 years for my patients. Yes, they are understaffed and they are overworked, but they are also the only organization available in our area for people with mental health crises. There is a severe statewide and national problem of inadequate mental health services. Without Appalachian, our community would be in far worse shape, because there is nothing else like it available in this whole region. Despite the time it takes for some services, I believe they literally save lives.

This program does work, as much as you want to make it work. I’m going to 100% honest as well, this program is not a walk in the park. What this place, or Jesus in this place, has done with me is kept me sober since October 17th 2021 and grown me up spiritually and maturely as well. NC Brookhaven is a fantastic mental health provider, with the best staff I have worked with. Dr. Lowe is a fantastic person and is always a pleasure to talk with. She is my favorite mental heath doctor out of all that I have had previously, and Shun is simply amazing, as well as the other staff. I sent my 16 yr. old son to TRAILS in September 2023 and he graduated 3 months later. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. They taught him how to survive and thrive in the woods of North Carolina. They taught him how to express his feelings and needs in a way that is respectful to everyone around him. They helped him learn about himself and brought his self-talk over to the positive side of things. They taught him that "he can do hard things". My family is so grateful to this group of people who run this program. We dropped off an angry, selfish, going-nowhere good kiddo and after a lot of work, missteps, repetition, and encouragement, my son had a fabulous growth experience at TRAILS that will serve him the rest of his life. M.A.R.C. was an incredible resource for me during my recovery. Once I decided I was done fighting my addiction on my own I went to M.A.R.C. I truly believe that had I gone anywhere else I would NOT have faired as well as I did. I am coming up on my 10th year clean& sober& I have Mountain Area Recovery Center to thank for that(& the most incredible counselor I've EVER had). At M.A.R.C. it was like a family. The staff there was kind, respectful& professional, yet we went allowed to get away with anything, lol!! Some of my fondest memories of my recovery are from M.A.R.C. Unfortunately M.A.R.C. was sold to a HORRIBLY UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY B.H.G. this corporation is not about ANYTHING BUT $MONEY$! They can't seem to keep help& the help that does stay have major issues with doing their job. I THANK GOD that I was lucky enough to enter into my recovery while M.A.R.C. was still up& running. I truly feel had I just entered into my recovery NOW with BHG, I NEVER WOULD'VE MADE IT!!

I’ve been an addict for 10plus years in and outta jail and nothing ever seemed to help with my addiction… I came to lighthouse and was given stability and was made to be accountable for my actions … I became assistant house manager witch then gave me more responsibilities as far as setting an example for all the other guys in the house and holding them accountable for there actions and helping make sure things ran smoothly I was here for about 3 months and eventually moved into my own apartment… the program works and u will be successful as long as u put the work in and do what is asked of you!! Highly recommend to anyone in need of a stable and safe place !!!! Changed my life for the good

I have been a patient at Crossroads Seneca for going on 3 years now and I can confidently say that there is a fair chance I would be dead absent the high quality of care provided by the staff at this clinic. Methadone clinics get a bad reputation due to outdated stigmas surrounding opiate addiction and Medication Assisted Treatment, as well as the fact that many opiate addicts have co-occurring mental health and trauma disorders they are coping with that make treatment complicated. It's not an easy community to treat. It takes special people with a high capacity for compassion and patience. I just want to thank everyone at this center for being those special people that make a difference every day. Thank you Shelley for always being so supportive and caring with me. Thank you Hailie for always being so kind to me checking in. Thank you Jazzie for always making yourself available to me any time I needed help. And thank you to the pharmacist and nursing staff, who manage patients(even the struggling ones) so gracefully everyday.😊

I have been going here since 2012, because I choose too. You don't have to go as long as myself, you go AT YOUR OWN PACE, WHATEVER IS BEST FOR YOU. My counselor Lisa is awesome. Jazzy is the best director that place has had also. If you are in the place in your life where you need to go to a treement center, this is a good one.

This place has been a game changer for me. God led me here, no longer feeling like im riding in the backseat of my sobriety/ cleanliness. Now im driving this train and pulling some folks too.Feels amazing...also want to note how sweet the staff all were, even the couple token sourpusses have their value for sure. Not that u really want to eat, but this is an absolute necessity in the beginning as well as sleep and the bed was comfortable enough i was able to sleep another absolute necessity you would be surprised i didnt find at other places, sometimes its about those little things that otherwise would have caused anyone so much more unnecessary uncomfort. Also, plenty of vape breaks, and they give u a good vape for your stay as long as u attend the groups, plz do as many groups as uu possibly can. Thank u again to all the staff, support and to all the beautiful people I met in there. If youre reading this and this would be your first time coming in for something like this boy are uu lucky to have just found this place.PLZZ JUST DO IT! ...RIGHT NOW. I could not be more grateful for the care I received here. The staff are amazing and will make sure that you are always comfortable. You will be respected, heard, and treated with dignity. You won't be dismissed, all your questions will be answered. Be completely honest so that you can receive the exact care that you need. You could not ask for better accomodations or understanding. The environment is immediately welcoming. Its quiet, peaceful. They have everything you need, you really just need clothing. (Its a bit chilly, bring hoodies and fuzzy socks) There are even laundry facilities. You will be provided with a vape or nicotine patches if you use nicotine products. You may rest as much as you need, the staff will let you sleep through the night, vitals are during the day. You can call your family, except for during group meetings. No visitors, but the stay is short. The counselors and peer support specialists are very honest, open, and eager to help you with your personal journey, without being pushy or making you feel rushed. Whether faith based or evidence based care is right for you, that is your choice. There are options for both approaches! The idea of group meetings was terrifying for me, an introvert, an addict full of shame and guilt. You are not obligated to contribute, that was reassuring. But I was surprised at myself for wanting to contribute and engage. It was a bit sad leaving. While here, I was not just a junkie, just an alcoholic, a lost cause, all of the negative adjectives I used to describe myself. I wasn't the things my family called me. I wasn't an echo of the childhood I lost. I wasn't an empty, lonely vessel on autopilot. I was a person. A human. Im more than my story, but sharing our perspectives and caring for each other felt like being part of a family. A family where you aren't the black sheep. It was almost overwhelming to feel that kind of support and HOPE. Ill be honest; When I came in, i wasn't ready to get help. The timing was just right. But very quickly that changed. They made me want to be better. Not for recognition or pats on the back. Not for attention or brownie points. They made me want it because they made me see I deserve it, I deserve to live a good life and be happy. If you are thinking about making some changes, please come here. What do you have to lose?
