I had a great experience at the Forester Center as Tarji Littlejohn is not only a fantastic therapist, but she’s also a very considerate friend. She made sure that I had the right resources and she was always available when I needed. Her group was great but the individual therapy that I had with her was even more meaningful and really helped me open my eyes to the problems that I have and that I’ve continued to get over. I have the most respect for her and how she helped me along with countless other individuals.

I can't really give a rating, since I haven't used their services. I was there to photograph the property for a client who was involved with building the project. But during my experience, the staff I met were very nice. The property is clean and well maintained. And it has a lot of cool amenities and beautiful landscaping.

Spartanburg, SC | Veterans seeking accessible primary medical care or mental health support including substance use recovery can receive tailored care at the Spartanburg VA Clinic. This outpatient integrated care clinic is situated at North Grove Medical Park Drive in the North Grove neighborhood of Spartanburg, South Carolina. The clinic fosters affordable healthca | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I can’t speak for all staff here, but the staff in my care team are fantastic. The VA as a whole is a joke, and the providers are limited. It seems the non-medical staff often show up to collect a check and the PTO for government holidays. Getting any VA facility to answer a phone is next to impossible. When they do, you certainly have the wrong extension, department, clinic, etc. I have found my team to be extremely responsive to the secure messaging however. I went through about 6 primary care Dr, and several mental health providers before I landed where I am. I have since moved out of state and will travel to keep my current provider team. It was a long and bumpy ride, but this facility is much better off than it was several years ago.

I started going to PCTC around 12/2020 I believe.. I have found the staff to be very kind , caring , and helpful . I had Jackie as a counselor when I started and she was promoted and went to Anderson location and I ended up with a new counselor Chelsea and have been lucky enough to have her ever since ! They have helped me with transportation when I've had issues getting there as I am disabled and don't drive , I have had some very hard things happen in my life and I grew to trust Chelsea and have been able to talk to her and she has helped me lot just by listening and truly ended up failing a DT and knew I hadn't done anything and have had a flawless record and had just taken an observed 2 days before(clean as can be other than methadone )an being given the DT that I took on my own that came up as failed and I was so shocked and cried because I knew I hadn't done anything and it was just very helpful that she helped me through that and she helped me figure out what happened.. I figured she wouldn't believe me because I am sure so many have said the same , but she didn't and she cared enough to help me figure it out. All of staff there are just such genuine caring people and seem to be doing it because they truly care to help ppl recover and not just doing it for a paycheck . They have connected with so many that I see and the kids that have to come with their parents they connect and get to know the ppl and don't make you feel less than for having to go through the process of recovery. I recommend them to anyone who is serious about bettering and extending their life by leaving addiction behind .

Lyman, SC | SCVRD Lyman Bryant Center is in Lyman, South Carolina. They help people who are suffering from mental health issues. They also help people who are dealing with substance abuse. This is done through their residential program where you’ll live at their facility. While you live at the facility they will help manage your medication. The environment i | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I dont always need vocational rehab services to help me deal with the complexities of an invisible disability, but when I do, I choose the best vocational rehab center in the area, drum roll, please.... 🥁🥁
I had an appointment at the Bryant Center for Vocational Rehabilitation, and walking in, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. When you’re dealing with things that aren’t visible on the outside, it can feel awkward explaining why certain parts of life just don’t function the way they used to. That’s not an easy thing to put into words.
What stood out to me was that I didn’t feel rushed. The staff took the time to listen and ask thoughtful questions instead of assuming they already understood the situation. That matters more than people realize. When you’re navigating something complex — especially involving cognitive or executive functioning challenges — being heard is half the battle.
The environment itself was calm and professional. Not flashy, not overwhelming — just steady. And sometimes steady is exactly what you need.
Vocational rehabilitation is not a magic wand. It’s a process. But this visit felt like a step in the right direction rather than another bureaucratic hoop to jump through. I left feeling a mix of realism and cautious hope — which, honestly, is better than walking out feeling dismissed.
If you’re considering going, especially for support with challenges that aren’t obvious on the surface, it’s worth the conversation.

I’ve spent seven years in and out of inpatient programs across the country, and I can say without hesitation that Solutions Recovery Center in Greenville, SC is on a completely different level. I’m not exaggerating when I say this place has impacted my life more than anywhere I’ve ever been, even during the hardest season I’ve ever faced. When everything in my life felt like it was collapsing, they saved my life.
Solutions isn’t just a sober living community — it’s the gold standard, the blueprint, the example the rest of the world should be studying. The amount of respect they show every single person who walks through their doors is unmatched. They don’t just tolerate you; they honor you, they listen to you, and they give you the freedom to express yourself without judgment or shame.
The staff doesn’t just do their job — they go above and beyond in ways that feel almost unreal. Their compassion is overwhelming, their dedication is unshakeable, and their belief in people is so powerful it feels supernatural. I’ve never experienced a team so committed to giving people a real chance, a real opportunity, and a real path forward.
The community itself is something rare — a place where you’re treated like a human being with value, potential, and purpose. A place where accountability and love walk hand‑in‑hand. A place where you can rebuild your life with dignity. A place where you’re allowed to grow, stumble, rise, and become someone you never thought you could be.
I’ve been through more programs than I can count, but Solutions Recovery Center is the only one that truly changed me. The only one that reached me when I was at my lowest. The only one that helped me find myself again.
If you’re looking for the world’s greatest sober living community — you’ve found it.
If you’re looking for a place that will treat you with respect — this is it.
If you’re looking for a place that gives you opportunity, structure, freedom, and hope — Solutions is the answer.
I owe them more than words can express.
They didn’t just help me.
They saved my life.

Spartanburg is the 135th most expensive city nationwide for addiction treatment affordability, with an average cost of addiction treatment of $57498. This is comparable to the average cost of $57774 for addiction treatment in South Carolina and comparable to the national average cost for drug rehab of $57,193.
The costs of drug and alcohol rehab in Spartanburg vary widely and depend on several factors, including:
The costs of addiction treatment listed for cities and states are averages based on the cost of medical detox, inpatient rehab, outpatient rehab, and medication assisted treatment. These averages are high due to the cost of medical detoxification and residential inpatient rehab programs.
These numbers also reflect the raw cost of drug rehab, before any insurance coverage. The typical individual seeking addiction treatment can expect to pay much less for outpatient or intensive outpatient services than the averages listed below. There are many ways to pay for drug rehab in Spartanburg. Most rehab treatment centers accept cash or self-payment, as well as private health insurance. However, there are many treatment centers in Spartanburg that accept Medicaid and Medicare, or offer sliding scale payments or other low-cost payment options. Here's the complete breakdown of how to pay for addiction treatment near Spartanburg.
Aetna is the most widely-accepted insurance for drug rehabs in Spartanburg, with 2 treatment centers in the city accepting their insurance. Blue Cross Blue Shield is the 2nd most popular with 2 treatment centers accepting it followed by Cigna in 3rd accepted by 2 drug rehabs.
Spartanburg has the 155th highest rate of drug use nationwide among nearly 400 cities surveyed. This number reflects the combined use of cocaine, heroin, meth, and marijuana, displayed individually below. The percent shown for each drug represents the number of residents in Spartanburg county that have reported ever using the following drugs, so these numbers should not be interpreted as direct evidence of current drug use in Spartanburg or Spartanburg county as a whole.
In 2023, Spartanburg had the 226th highest number narcotics violations out of 330 cities nationwide, with a total of 242 reported drug-related incidents that year. This includes cases of public intoxication, drug arrests, narcotics found during house calls and traffic stops, and any other drug-related crime.
Keep in mind these numbers are dependent on accurate record keeping and reporting laws by local police and sheriffs, and may not fully reflect all drug related crime in Spartanburg. All values are per 100,000 population.
