This place is the best detox center I have been to. It has helped me so much and the staff is amazing! Tammy, James, Amanda, Lisa and Leilani were a special help to me, but the entire staff was amazing. My 10 yrs Nephew is down there and had been there 6 or 8 month's and he said they are very good to him and he was getting the help he needed and he says that the psychiatrist was very good to him and becouse of her he was getting better and he said he thinks the world of her because she was good to him and she help him a lot I. Know one thing what we have saw from the place. They are absolutely amazing and I would recommend it to anyone it a little bit of a drive for us but even those it 4 hour drive one way I would go every day if it was allowed.but he said he was going to miss them when he get to go home but he said he could send them a card sorry some of you have had a bad experience But Thank God for the Excalibur Youth Service.

I could not be more grateful for the care I received here. The staff are amazing and will make sure that you are always comfortable. You will be respected, heard, and treated with dignity. You won't be dismissed, all your questions will be answered. Be completely honest so that you can receive the exact care that you need. You could not ask for better accomodations or understanding. The environment is immediately welcoming. Its quiet, peaceful. They have everything you need, you really just need clothing. (Its a bit chilly, bring hoodies and fuzzy socks) There are even laundry facilities. You will be provided with a vape or nicotine patches if you use nicotine products. You may rest as much as you need, the staff will let you sleep through the night, vitals are during the day. You can call your family, except for during group meetings. No visitors, but the stay is short. The counselors and peer support specialists are very honest, open, and eager to help you with your personal journey, without being pushy or making you feel rushed. Whether faith based or evidence based care is right for you, that is your choice. There are options for both approaches!
The idea of group meetings was terrifying for me, an introvert, an addict full of shame and guilt. You are not obligated to contribute, that was reassuring. But I was surprised at myself for wanting to contribute and engage. It was a bit sad leaving. While here, I was not just a junkie, just an alcoholic, a lost cause, all of the negative adjectives I used to describe myself. I wasn't the things my family called me. I wasn't an echo of the childhood I lost. I wasn't an empty, lonely vessel on autopilot. I was a person. A human. Im more than my story, but sharing our perspectives and caring for each other felt like being part of a family. A family where you aren't the black sheep. It was almost overwhelming to feel that kind of support and HOPE. Ill be honest; When I came in, i wasn't ready to get help. The timing was just right. But very quickly that changed. They made me want to be better. Not for recognition or pats on the back. Not for attention or brownie points. They made me want it because they made me see I deserve it, I deserve to live a good life and be happy. If you are thinking about making some changes, please come here. What do you have to lose?

I am so very thankful for everything you do in your program from start to end. It has been a game changer for my son who has battled addiction for a few years. I see the spark back in his eyes and a joy and excitement towards his future you’ve given him the tools to be successful. You’ve given him the tools to cope, but most of all you’ve given him hope towards his future. He’s halfway through the program and has nothing but great things to say thank you so very much. I honestly would of gave it a 5 star. But a couple of staff were not nice to me. It was mostly night shift. One made fun of me Stimming and i have Autism. She laughed at me stimming on my tippy toes. Jenesia a tech is very rude. Told me i couldn’t go on my tippy toes. That its not allowed, but thats my way of coping/stimming. That i needed a doctor’s order. Which i didn’t i talked to the doctor. I understand the reason why they have to keep the doors open all night. But they could of at least dimmed the lights. It kept going in my eyes and waking me up. I didnt get much sleep being there. That doesn’t help me with my physical conditions.
Now for the compliments. Unit 2 overall is such a good unit. I did get treated like a human being I felt safe, and supported. Not like the other ones i have been to that made me feel horrible like we weren’t human beings. Dr.Feldman Lance, now hes the best doctor I have had in any mental health facility. He actually listens to u(if ur not mean or give attitude) and he gets things done. He is also so sweet and very nice, and understanding. I don’t like talking alone to males but with him I was ok. He is nice and gave a nice vibe! Megan the tech is another great staff member! She made me feel safe while I was there. I could talk to her about anything! She was just there! Shes so nice too. Then there is Abby another tech. Shes super nice as well! She helped me calm down . She let me keep stimming on my tippy toes even when other staff said i couldn’t. That made me cry and get upset because they said I couldn’t. But she calmed me down! She is a really good one. And then there is Kenzie the therapist. She was very nice! She cared alot! She listened and helped me understand what I was confused about. She was so sweet! Then there was a group therapist named Kathleen. Oh boy she helped so much! I loved attending her groups when i could of. I am actually going to take what she told us and work on it in my therapy sessions! She made sure everyone got there questions asked. She was really nice because the group room door slams, and I get overwhelmed with that. She made sure it didn’t slam. But overall I would definitely recommend this facility! Now it is different experiences for everyone!

I was scrolling the web and I always check the reviews of places I have physically been seen at. I'm a single father now and i havent been able to post as much as i'd like. When I saw some of the comments they really well....pissed me off. Dr Craddock is one of the most caring DR/Pshyciatrist i have encountered in my recovery. I started in 2008 in Seneca,SC and quickly moved to Recovery Concepts with Dr Craddock. Just to put it all plainly. There was never a time anything was offered to me that i didnt have to take the assesment for or bring up first. He never said try these THATS BULL. They don't just hand out any medications if they are deemed nessicary and you bring them up the administer an assesment on you and you may or may not have ADHD or anxiety. I in fact do have and will always have SUD, anxiety and adult ADHD. I will say it again for those in the back. He is a great DR/Pshciatrisrt but they dont make you take the medication and they certainlly dont bring it up. Hope this clears the BS away from him.

Terrible billing practices.
My daughter started seeing Kim Rosborough in April 2019. On May 30, I asked for an invoice of all appointments to date. On May 31, I was given an invoice missing the May 30 appointment. I figured that maybe it would take a few days to get the appointment listed and submitted to insurance.
On September 15, I asked for an updated invoice, as the May 30 appointment had still not been submitted to insurance. I received no response to my email.
On October 2, I again requested an updated invoice. Again, I did not receive an invoice.
On October 10, I again requested an updated invoice. I finally got an invoice on October 17, but the invoice had numerous errors. It was missing four appointments and three payments.
On October 18, I again requested an updated/corrected invoice. As of this writing (December 16, 2019), I have not received a corrected invoice. I did get a bill in the mail (Nov 25) for two appointments (May 30 and Oct 24) for which I've already paid on the dates of those appointments (and have receipts for those payments).

WOW!!! What a wonderfully blessed place.. a special place; that as soon as u pull into the driveway , the Presence Of God just envelopes U!! This place & This woman: Stacey Carroll, are both miracles. The much needed structure is within their daily schedule, the term "downtime" isn't an option. The program is packed with classes equivalent to course studies, the Biblical Teachers are knowledgeable with an understanding if the Bible, the atmosphere is one of "kindred spirits".. like that of king David & Jonathon.. or Ruth & Naomi. What is said here, stays here. Stacey Carroll is one the most pure hearted women of God I have ever had the honor to be around. She walks it.. like she talks it!! Backs it up daily, she was more than a role model or an example to me.. she has & is a "big sister" to me. I am an Alumni of Shalom. I stayed at the " farm:" for 9 months, then to the Shalom halfway house until my Motherb had a 2nd massive stroke that killed her swallowing reflexes.. Jesus took her home 1 week to the date of the 2nd stroke... Had I been out there using atthe time of hrb stroke & passing..I know I would inintenionally overedosed.

After reading some of the misguided comments directed at Dr. Boppana, I felt it necessary to add a counterpoint. I’m so glad to have been assigned to this outstanding physician. Although his personal inclination is to not make much eye to eye contact, he is very attentive to what is being said by redirecting his focus away from the speaker. In so far as putting in a Bluetooth device while the patient is still speaking, this is in order to proceed directly into making the necessary consults in order to address the issues being described to him in real time. I was personally helped by his calling of no less than three people in order to accommodate my needs. Thank you Dr. Boppana.

This treatment center has been nothing short of wonderful. I love everyone who works here and you can feel they truly care about their patients. My counselor is Mrs. Ruth and I stg she is an angel on earth!
My intake day, I called because I was going to be about 25 minutes late due to my own poor choices prior that landed me in the slammer in another state ( NC ) so because of that and having to bail out; I was going to be late. When I called I was trying to reschedule and Mrs. Ruth answered the phone. She told me not to worry about it, leave now and she’ll see me when I get there! She was not going to allow me to reschedule lol.
Fast forward to now. She is my counselor and when I asked her why she did that for me she told me “ because I could hear in your voice that if you didn’t come right then, you weren’t going to come at all “ and she was right! She has done so so much for me. The nurses have done so much for me, all of them! Lisa is absolutely amazing and Natasha and Wendy are compassionate and awesome! The doctors? They most definitely care about you and want you to get to a stable place and will work with you as long as needed until you do.
I highly recommend this treatment center. Even the ladies up front treat you great, are friendly and get you through fast! All around a great experience at this clinic and I’ve been to A LOT!! Because of them, I am clean and actually really happy and content in life. My life has improved so much already and I can’t wait to see where I’m at in life this time next year! It’s a journey I am extremely grateful to be on and grateful to have this wonderful staff on it with me and guiding me every step of the way 🫶🏻

I see Dr. Fields and as someone who isn’t looking for prescriptions and actually wants help for a quality life . I just want to praise this Lady . I can tell she’s very busy as it is a “clinic “ atmosphere. But I feel she genuinely cares about these illness’s… and is very educated and equipped with the tools needed to help people like myself .

Sometimes when I need to call back a nurse the secretary can't let me through, but then the nurse always calls me back at some point, so it's fine. They've pretty good service otherwise and good doctors. Heroes really do work here, just be patient. ^_^
