About Recovery Concepts of-Carolina

Their medication assisted treatment program combines meds such as Suboxone with mental health counseling. This medication lessens your withdrawal and cravings while you work on your recovery. The meds are given by staff members to reduce the chance of an overdose.

While you’re in the outpatient program, you’ll be given individual and group counseling. You can learn new life skills, understand the risks and impacts of addiction and work on a plan to prevent relapse. As you develop and practice new habits you’ll be able to live independently and without needing drugs.

They are very judgemental before you even walk through the door someone who looks like they are currently on drugs who works for this facility is outside asking rhetorical questions due to ignorance. You would think a detox program is there for detox right to get off drugs? No, I was told immediately before barely getting 5 words out and being interrupted every time I went to speak, that I need to change my life and the people I hang out with and the places I hangout at. I was prescribed medication from a doctor she was supposed to taper me off. She is no longer with the practice. I've been on this medication for years to the point that it no longer works. And I keep running out early. Instead of them listening and understanding that I need help badly, they instead did nothing, accused me of lying abiut when i took my last dose of medication, and that was multiple staff members. Just an awful experience. I don't know why they would hire somebody who is on drugs to work at a facility that helps people get off drugs. It doesn't make any sense but that woman was speaking from a very hateful place in her heart. I don't go out anywhere.I have no friends.I am a single mother. She didnt allow me to say anything. She didnt talk to me she talked at me. So everything she said was based off of assumptions. And I guess her drug addiction. I am appalled that they treat people like this who are seeking help and are in serious need of it. Apparently you have to be on meth or heroine for her to let you speak or even be kind. There was no understanding. They didn't try to contact my doctor who is also aware of the problem. Terrible, terrible business practice I'd almost consider it malpractice. This place is not for people who have become dependent on an opiate because of a doctor this place is for people who have serious drug problems. This place creates and promotes drug use not the opposite. Just awful who ever the skinny dark haired woman is with the raspy voice you all need to drug test her. I'm telling you she was on something. I am at this point giving up all hope no one will help they didnt care at all. They made me feel worse about my situation. I dont recommend this to anyone!!!! Ever facility is dirty a grimy outside i sat in the rain for over an hour. If you need help go ANYWHERE ELSE BECAUSE THESE PEOPLE DO NOT CARE ABIUT ADDICTION BUT THEYLL SUPPORT YOURS IF YOU ARE ADDICTED TO STREET DRUGS. AWFUL EXPERIENCE.

Accepted Insurance

Please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Recovery Concepts of-Carolina works with several private insurance providers, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Persons engaged in a 12 step program regularly attend group meetings in their communities, though online sessions are becoming increasingly popular. 12 step recovery is rooted in spiritual principles that enable participants to address the root causes of addiction and to foster self-awareness, compassion, acceptance, and accountability. Peer sponsors support participants as they work through the steps of recovery. Most programs are non-denominational, but specialized formats, including the faith-based Celebrate Recovery! format, are available.

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Choosing a drug rehab in South Carolina helps you overcome drug dependency, learn how to manage cravings, and obtain the tools needed to prevent relapse. This is accomplished through individualized treatment that addresses a full spectrum of physical, social, and emotional needs.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

The postpartum period is a sensitive time, especially for women in addiction recovery. Rehabs with specialized programs for new mothers will offer compassionate, personalized care to meet each client's needs as they transition from pregnancy to this season of life. Care teams may include obstetricians, pediatricians, and social workers working collaboratively to give women, children, and families a healthy future.

Clinical Services

The main basis of cognitive behavioral therapy in South Carolina is that all your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected. Therefore, the therapist will help you change your thoughts, which will lead to different emotions and actions.

If you struggle with managing your emotions, dialectical behavior therapy in South Carolina might be a good method of treatment for you. This form of talk therapy helps you learn to accept yourself while working on changing unhealthy patterns of thoughts and reactions.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

There are four fundamental processes to motivational interviewing in South Carolina. Engaging involves careful listening to understand the client's perspective. Focusing involves reaching an agreement on the purpose of the treatment. Evoking is the process of exploring the client's ideas and motivations. Planning explores how the client can make changes.

The overall goal of trauma therapy is to address and reduce the lingering physical and emotional effects that trauma has had on your life. You work within a safe space with an experienced therapist to understand your responses and develop healthier coping mechanisms.

Accreditations
