A neurologist named Kristen, a nurse named I think Adriene, and a technician whose name I can’t recall at the moment, were especially helpful in expediting matters so that all testing and care would be completed so that I could be released in a timely manner. That manner being so that I could be home before a major storm occurred. For that I am truly thankful to those three ladies that were working on 01/24/2026, in particular and to Aiken Regional Hospital in general.

I was very pleased with the service that I received from the Regista until the end of my Service. The staff that was working on 02/05/2026 after 3:00 pm was "Johnny on the spot". Very knowledgeable and worked together as a team to take care of my heart condition, that could have easily when into cardiac arrest. Again I say "Thank you", I can't remember all their names, but Tanisha was one of the nurses and the ER doctor was Meikle, maybe misspelled, but that entire team was my hero in comforting my daughter and taking of me. ❤️🙏🏽

Lexington, SC | LRADAC was formerly called The Lexington/Richland Alcohol and Drug Abuse Council. LRADAC is a nonprofit that serves the residents of Richland and Lexington counties in South Carolina. The Lexington location offers treatment programs for families, youth and teens to treat sub | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Please take the time to hear my story that went from the tragic loss of my counselor ending with resilience, strength, and triumph, as I successfully completed the course.
LRADAC’s Outpatient Program was absolutely amazing and truly helped me change my life. From the beginning, Brooke, who placed me in the class that was the perfect fit, showed genuine care and understanding that set the tone for everything that followed.
My counselor, Arianna, was beyond incredible. Everyone in my class would agree she was made for this work. She poured her heart into helping us and genuinely loved what she did. She had recently gotten married and was starting a new chapter in her life....Then, in a moment that shattered us all, we walked into class one day and were told the devastating news: Arianna had been murdered by her husband, who then took his own life.
The pain was unimaginable. Continuing the program without her felt impossible—but we knew Arianna would have wanted us to push forward. And with the strength of our group, and the incredible support from the staff, we did just that.
A special thank you to Casey, our life coach, whose dedication and encouragement helped carry us through such a dark time.
This program works. The people at LRADAC care deeply, and I will never forget what they did for me—or the amazing spirit of Arianna. If you’re considering getting help, give this place a chance. It might just save your life.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Unexpected Bright Spot at the Dorn VA Lab
As a veteran, I’ll be honest, I walked into the laboratory at the William Jennings Bryan Dorn Veterans Affairs Medical Center bracing myself. Between the typically long wait times for walk-in appointments and the well-publicized workforce cuts hitting the VA system lately, I fully expected to settle in for the long haul. What happened instead genuinely caught me off guard.
I had barely finished checking in before I was called to the back for my bloodwork. But the speed was just the beginning.
The moment I sat down, I was greeted with a warm, genuine “How are you doing today?” and I’ll admit, I did a double take. Behind it were three beautiful Black women — phlebotomists Michellyn Keitt, Tameka Preacher, and Kierra Veal — incredibly skilled, professional, and genuinely joyful, moving a packed waiting room along with an efficiency that was honestly a sight to behold.
There was another veteran called back at the same time as me, and we literally looked at each other in disbelief at how quickly we’d been seen. When we said something to the ladies about it, they laughed, and that laughter set the tone for the entire room. Jovial, warm, and completely on top of their craft.
These three women didn’t just do their jobs. They lifted the spirits of every veteran in that room, and that is no small thing. Veterans carry a lot and on any given day, a little human warmth can make a tremendous difference. Michellyn, Tameka, and Kierra delivered that effortlessly, all while maintaining a level of clinical efficiency that any medical facility would be proud of.
I want to make sure they are acknowledged by name, because that kind of excellence deserves to be seen. They are a credit to the Dorn VA, to their profession, and to every veteran who walks through those doors hoping to be treated with dignity and care.
Thank you, ladies. You made my day and clearly, you do it every day for any veteran who comes in that room. 🙏🏾

Columbia metro treatment center (New Seasons) has been a Joy to work with. Many people I know have mentioned how the services New Seasons has provided has improved their lives exponentially. They genuinely care and have a lot to handle and they handle it very professionally. MAT can be utilized for great things. It can bring someone to a stable point in their lives, so that they can start their recovery process without having to be in a problematic state with use.
Often times, when folks who’ve had issues with substance use/misuse they are not able to hold down a job, their use affects other area’s of their lives, myself being a recovery coach, a peer support specialist I’ve seen so many people have a new leash on life once they’ve got the chance to utilize the services that New Seasons provides. They make sure that you take accountability, being that you are responsible for getting there to get whatever medication the individual chooses. The nurses, and counselors, along with the director are extremely compassionate and supportive of individuals who may need a little more support than others.
If you, or a family member/loved one are thinking about making the decision to utilize medication assisted treatment/recovery, I HIGHLY recommend New Seasons. Your recovery is what you say it is!

10/10 experience with the nurses and doctors. Huge shoutout to all of my nurses in both the ER and the hospital. J was amazing and took especially good care of me throughout everything. Lee in the ER also went above and beyond by constantly keeping me updated when I first arrived and was in a ton of pain.
I’m only 18, and this was my first hospital experience alone without my parents, so I was honestly pretty nervous — but everyone made me feel comfortable, cared for, and supported the entire time.
Another big shoutout to lead nurse Callie and her whole crew for being so kind and attentive, and to Candy in food service for being so helpful as well. Also thank you to my ER doctors and especially my main doctor — I unfortunately don’t remember her name, but she was genuinely the sweetest and talked to me like I was her younger sibling.
I’m really grateful for the care I received from everyone there.
