My son attended for several months, and the care he received was truly exceptional. The staff is amazing, and Ms. Dominik, the psychiatrist, genuinely cares about her patients and their overall mental well-being. It meant so much to see how invested she was in helping my son heal and grow. Mr. Bobby also went above and beyond by ensuring my son consistently attended his private chiropractic and physical therapy appointments each week. My son struggles with severe social anxiety and depression, and the staff provided him with the daily attention, compassion, and support he needed. They were able to break through barriers we had been struggling with for a long time and helped him learn how to manage panic attacks in a healthy way. Not only did they support his sobriety, but they also addressed his mental health as a whole. I am forever grateful to this team for the care, dedication, and heart they put into what they do. It truly makes a difference. The only shortcoming my son mentioned was that he was not very pleased with the food selection. However, that does not take away from the outstanding level of care he received. Thank you again to everyone at The Wave International for changing lives and making a real impact. My son spent 5 months at New Hope and he has come out with a lot more knowledge and a lot more tools to get through life than what he walked in with. Is he permanently changed? No one knows. But he received more help in the 5 months he was there than any other program we've attempted to do in his life. Hands down, you need a good therapist. We had the best. Nikki was amazing and made all the difference for us and for my son during his time there. The biggest challege is that your kid has to WANT help and WANT to change. New Hope can't make them want to change and do all the work for them. Sometimes understaffed? Sure. I can't imagine how incredibly difficult it is to keep fully staffed in a place like this. But most of those staff members really care about the kids, at least the ones who are doing what they need to do. My son built great relationships with most of the staff members, and today at his discharge, were all in tears, giving gifts, sending him off with so much love and hope for a brighter future. Not every day was great. Some days were harder than others. The outcome is what matters and we got the best outcome we could hope for. Thank you, New Hope and Nikki specifically, for all you have taught our son and all tools you provided in helping him to succeed in life. I hope the things he learned will stay with him forever.
