I had burned every bridge, lost all hope, and truly believed I was going to die stuck in addiction to drugs and alcohol. What I found here was real recovery. This is a true Alcoholics Anonymous program that takes you through the 12 steps the way they were meant to be worked. It is not easy and it is not comfortable. It is structured, disciplined, and requires you to be honest and willing. But that is exactly why it works. They didn’t just help me stop drinking and using. They showed me how to live. Day by day, step by step, I was pushed to face myself and change from the inside out. Somewhere in that process, I had a spiritual awakening that I still carry with me today. The obsession to drink and use was lifted, and for the first time in my life I felt free. When I left, I didn’t walk away with money or material success, but I walked away with something far more valuable. I am no longer a slave to drugs and alcohol. I have peace of mind, purpose, and a program of recovery that I can take with me anywhere in the world. I also want to give a special thank you to Lisa and Big Worm. They stood by me and helped guide me through one of the most emotional and difficult times of my life. When everything felt overwhelming, they were there, helping me stay grounded and reminding me why I started. I will never forget the impact they had on my recovery. This program is not for everyone. If you are looking for something easy or expect to be handed a solution, this probably is not the place. But if you are truly sick and tired of addiction, if you have exhausted every option, and you are willing to do the work, follow direction, and commit to real change, this place can save your life. One of the instructors there said that he had never relapsed and when he picked up his chip he wasn't going back to have to pick it up again. This challenged me... I have been sober for 6 years now. This facility taught me surrender. It taught me humility. It gave me a soft cushion to land while learning these lessons about the terrible person I was. It offered me a hand to help me up... most of all... it gave me a plan of how to live and never get back into the condition I had gotten myself into. I can't say enough. This place has been with me every step of the way. The counselors have been right by my side any time I've needed them and for anything I've needed them. They offer counseling services as often as I need. Trying to do this alone has been hard and I've found it impossible. But doing this with support, I've found it much easier. The people that work in this place, engage you ..challenge you to become a better YOU. Their programs are true. When taken seriously can rehabilitate your addiction mindset...I've been there twice. The first time...i didnt take it seriously checked the boxes..minimum participation....slid my way through. My life fell apart and ended up there again . ..court orders aside...an open door.. The nurses and counselors are really nice and down-to-earth. They are friendly and like to cut up. The food is delicious and better than most cafeterias serve. The techs act professional and help is always available. There are groups that are mandatory unless you're ill and bedridden. (This is a detox.) There is a dayroom where you can watch TV and play board games, cards, or socialize. There iis a selections of books on display to choose from if you're a bookworm. A TV is also in your room, which is even more cool. Cell phones are prohibited. There is no smoking. You can request a nicotine patch. Counseling is optional. The associate took us to a room and listened to our concerns then had a team meeting to formulate a plan of action. Today, one week later, we had a meeting with the intake psychologist and a treatment plan was devised. To my knowledge, this place is very helpful. They help my little brother regain mental stability and let me visit him often. When I speak to him, he mentions nothing about the other terrible reviews I've read.
