I don't leave reviews... so the one and only review that I will leave will be for the place that gave me a hope when I had none. I went to this facility July 9, 2018. One of the instructors there said that he had never relapsed and when he picked up his chip he wasn't going back to have to pick it up again. This challenged me... I have been sober for 6 years now. This facility taught me surrender. It taught me humility. It gave me a soft cushion to land while learning these lessons about the terrible person I was. It offered me a hand to help me up... most of all... it gave me a plan of how to live and never get back into the condition I had gotten myself into. I carry the Big Book with me everywhere I go in my van with my now 3 children. I am a child of God, I am a wife, and I am a mother. Thank you Owls Nest Recovery... may you be proud of the difference you make in the world. You are making sober soldiers that carry this message to others. God is moving in this place... keep it up!

I went to the Owls nest expecting to get sober. All I got was a con job by the owner. What a terrible sober experience ad. I continue to struggle with alcohol to this day, but I will never forget my awful experience that I.

Accepted Insurance

Owl’s Nest Recovery Community works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

I have NEVER dealt with a facility this incompetent. Had a family member there for "dual diagnosis " help. We first arrive..no actual employees on site. Had a man with 3wks sober going through her belongings and another NOT employee doing paperwork. NO introduction from ANYONE. ONE visit for counseling in 6 wks and stated it was my family members responsibility to set these up! Ummm if addicts were responsible and doing this at home WHY would they need to be there?? ABSOLUTELY NO COMMUNICATION FROM ANYONE that works there until the day they called and said she needs to leave and mind you..my sister lives 1 hr and 40 min away AND is disabled. They told my sister "well if someone isn't here in 2 hrs you better find a homeless shelter for her". Now this is after finding out 8 people INCLUDING EMPLOYEES have relapsed and were bringing things on premises!! I have reported this facility to be investigated BTW. They told my sister "This won't be her last rehab. She will probably relapse" that was the help they gave. ALSO they said that my family member "wasn't participating like she should and they won't get paid if she doesn't go to group " like WTH?? Just FYI for others seeking help..DO NOT WASTE TIME HERE PLEASE. NOT TRYING TO SPEAK MEAN JUST SPEAKING TRUTH..VISIT THIS PLACE BEFORE ADMISSION!

Half of these 5 star reviews are from people that work/worked there. They literally call it AA community college. Men get preferential treatment. They get to work on site, females aren't allowed to work in the kitchen (except for this one time a female was) I spent 6 wasteful months of my life living in Florence SC. They let you work at bars and restaurants when you're trying to recover from alcohol/drugs. 0/10 from yours truly, Allie.

This program helped me change my life. I am thankful for the program and the staff. My therapist encouraged me to be vulnerable and helped me work through my problems and situations. I used to be really angry and fight people before I came here, but now I am at peace and I am very grateful for The Owls Nest.

My loved one was there 5 months, sponsor assigned was out of touch and too old for his role. Case manager assigned for my loved one was lazy and incompetent. This facility was very run down. There are good staff there but clinical staff are incompetent regarding dual diagnosis and how to manage. The discharge plan was thrown together at 9:00 at night. No psychiatric follow up for discharge, they lost his medication at discharge. It is entirely up to the loved one with substance misuse disorder to have a plan for managing their everyday life but my loved relapsed within 5 days after discharge. With dual diagnosis residents family needs to be considered and involved in the treatment plan. This never happened. Would never recommend this facility for someone with an unstable psychiatric disorder. Staff are just not trained on the latest. The Owls Nest gladly accepted the insurance money for services not competently rendered.

The Owls Nest saved my life. The staff are very caring. The food is great. But most of all, the message and dedication to the 12 steps of AA for addicts and alcoholics is what makes the program so successful and why it is hands down the best recovery center I have ever been to, and I've been to many. If you are struggling and need help, pick up the phone and call the Nest.

I was addicted to heroin and crack for 17 years. I’ve been to rehab after rehab with no success. I arrived at the owls nest Dec2023 broken mentally and hardly able to walk. This place helped me change my life. They gave me something I never had…Hope… I was taught a better way of life and how to get back up when I fall. The staff that carry the message at the Owls Nest are second to none. These people genuinely care and will do anything within reason to help clients learn to live life and accept what life throws at you. Putting it all into words is hard but if your reading this and thinking about becoming a client or have a loved one who needs help I’m telling you this place is absolutely amazing.
